Chapter 2: Meeting in the Library and the Tennis Match (Lemon Hearts' POV)

Hey there. My name is Lemon Hearts. I was asked to continue the story by Minuette, so here I go.

I was sitting in the classroom waiting for what seems like a really long time until the bell would ring, which will mean that I could finally hang out with my friends at the Library. I have heard the clock ticking very slowly as every second felt like an hour. Suddenly the bell has rung and I pack my stuff so I could walk off to the Library to meet my friends. The Library was gigantic, with the building being about 50 feet or 15 metres tall. There were approximately 75000 books in the Library of Crystal Prep Academy. My friends were waiting at a table just near the book section about Physics.

Minuette would jump up and yell "Hey Lemon Hearts! What are planning today."

I explained "Look everyone this is serious. We need to come up with strategies on how we could try to pass the try-out for the Friendship Games. I'll go first, we would need to perform a relay against a few of Moondancer's Canterlot High friends. Then we would need to do 2 hours of training all around the school each day with the subjects of Speed, Strength, Hand-Eye Coordination, Balance Skills and Teamwork. With teamwork nothing is impossible. We are a quadruple, we will work as a team."

Minuette sang "We'll be the first ponies on the flag-waving scene."

I yelled "Minuette! Can you be quiet with the songs from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This is not the time for that. This is the time to plan to train for the try-outs on Friday."

Minuette replied "I'm sorry Lemon Hearts, but I always sing a song from the show whenever someone mentions a line from one."

Twinkleshine spoke up "I accept your strategy Lemon Hearts, we could get one of us to carry someone else's stuff as a test for strength."

Moondancer replied "Don't you know how many books I carry each and everyday. They weigh a ton or something. Well actually they weigh 30 pounds."

I yelled "Moondancer! We use the Metric System here, remember?"

Moondancer replied "Oh I am sorry Lemon Hearts. For that hand eye thing we could play baseball with the boys."

I replied "No Moondancer, but we can try to play tennis at my house to train. Who's with me.

My three friends yelled "Yes we are Lemon Hearts."

So then me and my three friends begin walking off to my house. The house appeared to have been built in the 1960s and the orange brick makes up most of the outside of the house. It also has glass windows and a wooden door with glass in some parts of it. Along the outside of the house was a wooden fence that was painted white. We walked towards the gate that seperated the back yard from the front yard. We poened it and followed the path towards the Tennis Court. The Tennis Court was huge and it had two separate courts, but you can host doubles matches on both in which that we are going to do to practice our hand-eye coordination skills.

I explained "Okay guys, we are going to be split up into two teams. Minuette will go with me while Twinkleshine will go with Moondancer. The rules are: 1. First to 10 points wins. 2. Cheating will cause a point to be deducted off your total. 3. Stay in the Tennis Court Area, because my mom does not want the three of you inside to make a mess."

Minuette, the blue skinned girl asked "What will be the prize for the winners of our little tennis match."

I replied "The winners will get lunch that will be purchased by the losers tomorrow."

Twinkleshine asked "Is it Lunch from the cafeteria or Lunch from a cafe?"

I replied "They will get it from a cafe. Now we are all ready to go as I soon blow the whistle."

I then blow the whistle and I pick up my racquet. Since I am hosting the tennis game, it means that I serve the ball and it flys towards Moondancer in which she hits the green furry ball back towards me. This would continue until I hit the ball so hard that Moondancer missed. The next serve was by Minuette who hits the ball with a nice speed with her arm. It hits all the way to the end of the court, causing us to get a point. After so many hits and slams and points, it came down to the last decider.

I commentated "The score is 9-9, this is the deciding point. Who will get the point and the free lunch. Will it be Lemon Hearts and Minuette or Twinkleshine and Moondancer?"

Twinkleshine served the ball towards me and I thrashed it towards Moondancer. The red and purple haired girl smashes the racquet into the ball as it constantly travels until it reached it's destination on Minuette's racquet. The ball is reflected towards Twinkleshine, but she was too slow and the ball would reach the fence, causing both me and Minuette to gain a point.

I announced "Me and Minuette are the winners, so Moondancer and Twinkleshine, you will need to buy us our lunch tomorrow."

Twinkleshine yelled "It's just not fair, why can't I win?"

Minuette replied "Don't worry Twinkleshine, it's just a game. Well speaking of games, I have to go now."

Twinkleshine replied "Well me too."

Moondancer replied "Me three because I need to study for tomorrow and you know how much studying I do everyday."

I would reply "Goodbye Girls."

I wandered to the back screen door, opened it and wandered the hallways until I reach my Bedroom. The Bedroom is decorated in pictures of my pony form and I always wonder if one day I would turn into a pony. I put the light on and I thought to myself "This is going to be a hard couple of days."

The sun rises over the city with it's crisp golden shine that every single thing that is in it's path would be heated. I was a big groggy after what happened yesterday, but I wouldn't let my pink curly hair give up on that. As I rise from my bed and change into my Purple, blue and yellow uniform, I thought to myself "Should I try to do the strength test today, I mean that the tryouts are in two days and my friends would not agree with me." I collected my bag and walked out the door onto the street that caused me to climb down the biggest hill in the area.

I would meet my three best friends at the bus stop that is a short walk from my house. On one end of the road there were a few trees and on the other side there was the cafe. I asked "Hey Minuette and Twinkleshine! Should we try to walk to school, since I promised to buy you lunch?"

Minuette replied "Sure Twinkleshine, but it would seem strange to the other students that we walked to school instead of heading on the bus."

Lemon Hearts replied "I agree with Minuette and you Twinkleshine have to buy us lunch because of our Tennis Victory yesterday. Besides, what would possibly go wrong?"

I explained "If the line at the cafe is too busy, then we may be late and you all know how Principal Cinch hates students arriving late to class."

Moondancer yelled "We got to be very quick if we want to make it on time. I do not want to miss the chance of studying in the Morning."

So then we hurried along the long, grey and abrasive sidewalk towards the cafe. The cafe was on the bottom of a very tall and grey skyscraper. The inside was decorated in red with flowers all over the wall. The tables were made of cedar and were polished to attract the customers. We then waited in a very small line with only a few people whom I presume that are going to work.

I asked "So girls, what do you want?"

Minuette answered "I would like a chicken sandwich with tuna fish salad."

Lemon Hearts answered "I would like the roast beef sandwich with extra fries."

I approached the counter with the money and said "Hi there. I'm Twinkleshine and I would like A chicken sandwich with tuna fish salad and a roast beef sandwich with extra fries. How much will that be?"

The cashier replied "35 Bits."

I actually have that kind of money, I have a job of cleaning up the streets once or twice a week and they actually pay very well unlike most street cleaners who had to work for a few weeks to save 35 Bits or whatever currency they use. That 35 Bits which is the remainder of their money from food, electricity and other utilities that are required. Anyway I actually hand the money over to the cashier like I would normally do and gave her a 5 Bit tip.

We waited like 10 minutes for our sandwiches, but it does not bother me as me and my friends would sit there and talk the minutes away.

Minuette planned "Girls, I know what we are going to do today. As Moondancer would usually take a lot of books each and every day, I was thinking that we should use those books to test our strength."

Moondancer asked "Why do you want to use those books to test your strength Minuette?"

Minuette answered "It's to train for the tryouts on Friday. Besides all the fucking sporty shitheads will beat us in the tryouts if we do not test our strength. If we are beaten, then we will not go on to represent our school in the Friendship Games. Besides we have held the trophy for years and we are not taking any shit from those Canterlot High dorks. How come that lame school have two complete bitches named Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon who are richer than us, but they still go to Canterlot because their fathers are cheapsakes."

I replied "Just like Mr Krabs from Spongebob?"

Minuette replied "Exactly! We are not giving up, we will achieve, we will represent our school in the Friendship Games."

Hearing every word that Minuette said makes me feel more proud in myself and it makes my school proud. With that, we could change from being the most nerdy group of girls, to Crystal Prep's best female athletes. I know that you should not give up on anything as you control your life and you mean it. I also know that you gotta work hard to achieve your goals and that hard work pays off.

Our sandwiches would then arrive and I would put them in both Minuette's and Lemon Hearts' lunchboxes. Their lunchboxes match their hair and skin and were made out of plastic. The sandwiches were Chicken and Tuna Fish for Minuette and Roast Beef. There were even fries that went with Lemon Hearts' sandwich and she ordered extra of them.

We would then try to get to school on time. No problem if you're Minuette, but the rest of us are slower at running. But there is a positive to this, that running would help us prepare for the tryouts, we really want to pass the tryouts and make it to the Friendship Games, but look at this Pink Haired Crystal Prep Girl which is me. I am seriously bad at running, but I have to make it to school or I will be in Trouble. We ran as fast as possible and it took about 4 blocks to arrive, many people were shocked about us but I am not letting that distract me. Eventually we arrived at the school with moments to spare, moments to spare Sweet Celestia.

I would explain "Look everyone, even though we have made it. I would like everyone to meet here as soon as school ends instead of the Library. We are to go to my house and collect some books for our strength test."

6 hours has passed since I said that phase, we would eventually meet at the front door ready to go to my house. The walk there was really hard and tough as I lived on a hill that is halfway between the City and Canterlot High. Exactly halfway! You know what the tough part is? Getting up the hill alone, the hill was higher than the skyscapers in the City.

We would eventually reach the front door of the 1930s art deco style . The door was made of some sort of wood, possibly maple and it was painted red. The outside was painted Pink like my hair, it was probably my father's way of saying thanks to me. I open the door to find my little sister Cosmic Spark waving at me. She has Purple skin and hair of Orange, Blue and Green. She is also wearing a dress that matches her hair and on that dress were 3 yellow stars that in the pony world would be her Cutie Mark. She greeted my friends with a smile. So we eventually got to the Library of my house, where we sat down and dicussed stuff.

Minuette asked "Why doesn't Cosmic Spark go to Crystal Prep?"

I answered "She used to, but after she was picked on by a group of those sporty bullies I decided to ask my mom about relocating her to Canterlot High. She said yes to Cosmic being transferred to Canterlot. Don't you know that this is halfway between the two schools and one of the highest spots in all of the city of Canterlot? Anyway we have to get a lot of books and we need to place them into a wagon."

Lemon Hearts asked "What type of wagon do we need? I mean that we can't take Cosmic's."

I replied "We are going to use my old wagon that is still in my bedroom as a means of transporting items to other parts of the house."

Moondancer replied "According to my calculations, the wagon would collapse if pulled on for too long and if the load of the wagon was too heavy."

So them after Moondancer has talked calculations, the rest of us would wander to my room where the wagon is next to my bed. We take the wagon then we walk back to the Library where we take a lot of books, more than the amount that Moondancer would read a single week. We would take the wagon outside.

I announced "Whoever can get the Wagon over to that tree over there and back the fastest here will receive a muffin."

Minuette replied "A muffin? Is my name Derpy Hooves? But I will happily take the offer."

I went first in the race, I was actually stronger than I thought as I ran at a slower pace than when I ran to school earlier that day. I eventually reached the tree and turned around, retracing my steps from before in the opposite direction. Before too long I reached the Start Point. The time it took was about 7 Minutes and 32 Seconds.

Minuette would go next, unlike me she was not as strong and she kept struggling to reach the tree, in which she eventually did. She would try to turn around at a slow pace as she struggled back to the start point. It took here 21 Minutes and 29 Seconds to do her part of the training.

Lemon Hearts was the last as Moondancer was studying in my Library. Her stength ability was about in between of mine and Minuette's. She was walking fine, but she was struggling just a little bit. As we watched her pull to the tree we cheered on her and on the way back we shown our support for her by holding up banners with her name in it. Serveal Minuetes later she got back to the Starting point and her time was clocked at 13 Minutes and 47 Seconds.

I announced "The person who pulled the wagon to the tree and back the quickest is me of course. Don't you know that I am the strong one of the group, but I made all three of us and Moondancer muffins because I do not want anyone to miss out." We eventually walked back to the house and ate our delicious chocolaty muffins.

A few minutes later after my friends have got home, I rushed to my desk and I wrote in my Diary
Today has been an extraordinary day. I gave my friends so more trust at the cafe. Minuette has motivated me to keep going in my life. I also brang my friends to my house to help practice for the Friendship Games tryouts on Friday. I was the strongest of my friends. But I hope from you that I would try my best in the next two days before the tryouts. Even though Cosmic did not get involved in this. I would still praise her and I hope she would represent her school in the Friendship Games. Yours thankfully, Twinkleshine

Chapter 1: Announcement and the race. (Minuette's POV)

Hi there. If you don't know who I am, my name is Minuette, but I am also known as Colgate by the MLP Fandom. Anyway this is the story on how me and my three friends tried to become Shadowbolts and compete in the Friendship Games. I am my Equestria Girls form and not my pony form so don't expect me to be a dentist like my pony counterpart.

"Attention all students, I got an important announcement. Tryouts for the Friendship Games, which will be on in 3 weeks, will happen on Friday at 1:00pm." Mr Cinch the Principal yelled over the intercom at Crystal Prep Academy. "Be there or you will miss out on representing your school and help defend our title of being the champions of the Friendship Games."

"The Friendship Games?" I thought. "That's like every student's dream." I then proceed to my Friends so I could try to see them.

"Hey Minuette." Lemon Hearts yelled "Are you ready to try to represent our school in the Friendship Games. It's gonna be so awesome."

I replied "Of course Lemon Hearts. The Friendship Games are going to be amazing!

Twinkleshine replied "Expect that you have to face that bitch known as Sunset Shimmer. She is like the biggest bitch at Canterlot High."

"Not anymore." Said Moondancer as she walked towards me. "I know everything that happens at Canterlot High by a friend of mine called Lyra. She told me that Sunset has been reformed ever since that Twilight girl walked into our world from theirs. Now she is very kind and she is learning how to be a good friend."

I yelled "What? Sunset Shimmer is no longer a bitch and that Twilight girl. Sweet Celestia the ponies from the TV show are real!"

Lemon Hearts replied "Are you talking about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?""

I replied back "Yes! I can't believe it, they're real. They're actually real. I must try to find the pony version of me and give her a hug."

Twinkleshine replied "Okay Minuette, I think that you are a little bit too obsessive about the show. We watch the show with you every Saturday, but we aren't obsessed about it as much as you."

I replied "Okay then. Hey wanna see my fanart?" I would get out my folder and search for the fanart I made with myself and my pony counterpart hugging each other. "See how good I am at drawing fanart."

Moondance replied "Wow! That fanart looks really cool, but I was considering that we should see who is the fastest of us four."

Lemon Hearts replied "I agree Moondancer, having a race would be good to see which friend has a higher chance of trying out for the Friendship Games and getting a spot on the team."

I boasted "So what are you waiting for girls? Lets have a test to see who is more likely to become a Shadowbolt and compete for Crystal Prep."

We would then go to the field that is just outside the school. The field was long and narrow, and the grass was as green as the leaves on the tree that sits above the field. The weather was mild, about 21°C according to memory and the sun shined brightly over the field. I asked "Okay Everypony, are you ready?"

My three friends replied "We're ready Colgate."

I yelled "Do not call me Colgate, this is not a fanfiction written by StormLuna."

Lemon Hearts replied "Oh Minuette, you just broke the fourth wall."

I replied "Okay whatever, lets just go already." The four of us ran off after that line, we were running as fast as possible until we reached the endpoint. The grass was a little slippery as we had rain the day before and the sun was slow in drying up all the rain from that day. In the end I won the race.

Twinkleshine yelled "Hey! You cheated Minuette, I was supposed to win."

I replied "Sorry Twinkleshine, I won and I did not cheat at all." Yes I was telling the truth at that time, I actually won and I did not cheat. I was being honest at my friends, like I did every other time.

Lemon Hearts would yell "Okay Girls, I'll see you in the library this afternoon and remember not to be late or we'll not be friends anymore."

I replied "Goodbye Lemon Hearts."
