//-------------------------------------------------------// Live and let go... -by Killhunter651- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue As Hank walked down the street from his house, he noticed many of his neighbors waving to him, and he nodded at all of them. They only stared at him, as he looked like someone had died. To the fact that his mother died recently, his last loving parent. Hank couldnt stand having to deal with all of the grief and stress right now, as he was only 25, and hes dealing with his parents passing away, and losing his vital job to some computer. "Man, this sucks." Hank grumbled. "Only 25, and I have to put up with all this shit. Lost my mother and father, lost my girlfriend. Barely skimming by on mortgage." Hank said in a depressed sigh. He continued to walk further from his house. He needed a beer, and fast, so he decided to head to the liquor store and buy a pack for himself. Hank walked in, greeted by the store owner at the checkout. Hank looked for his favorite brand, got a bag, and took it to the counter to get checked out, then he walked out the door and back to his house. Hank unlocked his door and walked in, sitting on the couch and turning on the TV while grabbing one of the beer cans from the package. Hank only sighed and looked for a good show to watch, but didn't find anything. He got up and went to his room after putting away the beer. He stripped his clothes off down to his boxers, and laid down in his bed, while he took a deep breath and fell asleep quickly. He woke up in the middle of the night to a strange 'whirring' sound coming from his living room. He slowly opened the door and saw a faint glow coming from the middle of the living room. He approached it, and he squinted at the strength of the light hitting his eyes. "What the hell?" Hank said, standing over the swirling yellow figure in his house. He was amazed at the swirling body of energy, and carefully stepped closer to it to see it more accurately. Hank bent in closer to get a better view, but he accidentally tripped and dove, head first, into the portal. Hank felt wind rush against his face, and he could hear his heart beating in his head. He saw clouds, and green fields down below, but realized quickly, that he was heading towards the ground quickly. He tried to look for something to stop his descent, but nothing came to avail. He let his arms go limp, and accepted his fate, knowing his life sucked and no one cared for him anymore. He was about to hit the hard ground, when he felt a sense of being weightless, covering his body. His body was illuminated by a purple glow, and he slowly hovered to the ground, and the glow dissipated. He bent up using his elbows, and he could see a small silhouette in the darkness of night. A small spark appeared in mid-air, and Hank quickly realized, it was heading for him. The dodged the bolt, then started running in the opposite direction. He could hear a flapping sound, and turned around to see, a now winged figure in the sky, still shooting bolts at him. Hank kept looking behind him, but saw that the creature gave no ground in trying to catch him. Hank finally had to stop from the burning feeling in his lung, but his adrenaline said otherwise. He kept running, and saw a steep cliff in front of him. He jumped, climbing small rocks in attempt to escape the winged beast chasing him. He saw a bolt heading straight for his head, and he suddenly felt tired. He fell off the rocks, his back slamming into the ground, and his eyes slowly sealing shut. The figure walked up to him and looked at his face, while Hank drifted off into unconsciousness.
