A New HomeView OnlineThe New FamilyA New HomeLeaving home is never very easy, especially for someponys that have lived there their whole life.We had to move due to lack of money and space, thanks to Fillydelphia being overrun with nothing but tourists and ponys looking for a dream. So me and my two little sisters, Angel and Annabella, set off to out new home with plenty of space and jobs available for me, there was even a school for my sisters to go to and make new friends, it was in a small town called Ponyville. Getting there is one thing, but hauling all of our valuables and processions, including two twin unicorns in the cart all by my self, was one heck of a workout for a pegasus like me to carry all by myself. I could hear my sisters complaining in the front of the cart, "Skylar! when are we gonna get there!" said Annabella with a exhausted look on her face, "Yeah! We're tired, hungry... and tired!" said Angel. "Well I don't know yet, but we have to be somewhere near our house. We're flying over Ponyville right now." Eagerly my sisters looked of the side of the cart, gazing down at all the lit houses and lanterns below. This is Where i started to get a little bit scared when my sisters we're leaning of the cart,I then shouted out,"For Celestias sake! we're sixty feet in the air! get your heads in this cart NOW!" My sisters got away from that edge in a heartbeat. They we're quite the rest of the ride home. As we flew by the various houses on Ponyville, I spotted a large cloud manor in the sky. "Well at least they're other pegasi in this town besides me", I quietly said to myself. I also saw a large treehouse, and even a large forest next to a few homes. The landscape was beautiful, and i bet the ponys are too. While looking at the various scenery, I heard Angel and Annabella, whispering in the back of me. i couldn't make out what they were saying, but i heard some words like, houses, forest, school, if I had any guess, I would say those two are talking about what new ponys they would meet, and what places they would see. even though I told them to be quiet I'll let this slide, only because we've been flying all night. Then I spotted our home, with the sign that said "sold" on the mailbox. Our home was a two story house, with a nice straw roof and wooden foundation. But I focused barely on the details, I was just ready to go inside and pass out. As we started to decline altitude from the starry night sky, my sisters finally spoke up right as we hit the ground with a gentle "thump". They both shouted at the top of there little lungs, "Yay bed!" Without hesitation the two little fillies jumped of the cart and ran inside our new home, landing on the closest thing to a bed they could find. I un-hooked the cart from my waist and started to unload the cart, but before that I unpacked a large blanket and pillows that the twins had forgot, before running into the house and passing out on the floor. Carefully I opened the door and propped it open with a nearby stone. I slowly came towards my sisters and propped their heads underneath each of their pillows, and covered them with their blanket. they both slept the rest of the night without waking, surprising too, knowing the fact on how many things I dropped while unloading the cart. But somehow they both found the strength to sleep through all of it. With Angel and Annabella both asleep, and the cart fully unloaded, it was about time for me to take a long, well deserved nap. But I was so eager to place a few things around before the morning came around, so I started placing all our pictures, books, and my little sisters toys all throughout the house, placing them where I thought they properly belonged. As I moved things around I got to take a tour of our house, looking at all the various rooms they had, including two small bathrooms, two large bedrooms, an upstairs living room, a nicely put kitchen with an oven, fridge and even some silverware. The house even had a small den with a nicely put brick fireplace, and an attic and a basement. Looking throughout the house and all the wonders within made me think, "this is going to be a lot of rent!" but I wasn't very worried about that right now, I was just glad to place everything where it belonged and finally be able to get some sleep. I then picked up Angel and Annabella, and tucked them both into their new bed. And then I finally got the chance to sleep as well, as I plopped on my bed and passed out as soon as I hit the mattress. I couldn't wait to see what our lives would be like, living... in a whole new world.
Making a New FriendView OnlineThe New FamilyMaking a New FriendAfter a well deserved night of sleep, I woke up early and started making breakfast for my little sisters. But since we just got here last night, there was no food in the fridge or the pantry. I wasn't really worried, we still had some snacks left over from the ride here, and we had about thirty pieces left over from our old house we sold. But I was starving thats no lie, so I left my house and headed for Ponyville, hopefully to find a open restaurant that sold some sandwiches or some fruit even. And it would be even better if I could get a job right now while I'm getting some food, that way I won't have to look tomorrow. I looked all over the town and could still find no food "dangit, how are we supposed to eat anything now?" I silently muttered to myself. But as if on cue, a cart opens up that sells apples opened up on the other side of the street. Oh thank Celestia, I was about to starve! I thought in my head, but I could barely hear myself think with my stomach grumbling in sorrow. I slowly trotted over to the cart, trying to make a good impression on the pony and hopefully make a first friend in this town. I had no clue why some pony would be out this late, it wasn't even eight o' clock yet. As I walked over to the pony The pony working the stand of apples, was an orange pony with long blonde hair, she had her hair in ponytails, ironic isn't it? she had a cowboy hat on and had white freckles on her face. I walked up to the pony and slowly started a conversation with her. "Hello, are you open yet?" She looked at me with a smile,"Well of course! I just opened up partner! By the way my names Applejack." "She seemed nice" I thought in my head, "She even told me her name, she must be a very friendly pony". I was so hungry I decided to ask for some apples before I ate all of the ones on the cart. "Nice to meet you Applejack, my name's Skylar, may I buy five apples by any chance?" "Well I reckon you can. Since you asked so politely partner, That will be five pieces.", said Applejack, with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. I handed over the pieces and she handed over the apples, she seemed so nice I had to keep talking to her. Who knows, she may know where I can get a job, so I kept the conversation going. "So Applejack, I was wondering, do you know any place in this town that has a decent job for me? You see I have two little twin sisters, and they eat like a wild pack of wolves." Applejack giggled at that little remark, "So I need a job that pays good enough to keep our house and feed everyone." Applejack smiled and looked at me. she was looking at my body, I had no clue why though. She kept looking at my legs and back for some reason, why was she looking at me like that? At first I thought that this curious pony was checking me out, I was so confused, I tried to restrain myself, but a small shade of red filled my cheeks. Applejack still looking at my legs and back, I finally decided to speak up, to end the awkward silence. "Umm Applejack, what in Equestria are you doing?" I said, with my face as red as the apples on the cart. She stopped looking at me and spoke up," Well you see sugercube, I was simply looking at you to see if you had enough strength in those legs of yours." I really hope this pony isn't talking about what I think she is, "Well Skylar, your awfully polite and you look like you have some muscle in your legs, would you like to come up to Sweet Apple Acres and apple buck, I'll pay you by the hour." I sighed with relief as the blush disappeared from my face. I was so happy that I got a job, especially this fast, I wanted to hug that pony for being so gracious, but I kept my cool and politely said," Thank you Applejack, your such a good friend." she smiled and we both shook hoofs; she had one heck of a hoofshake. But something was eating at my mind, I had to ask Applejack this. "Umm Applejack, can I ask you something?" Applejack looked at me with a sly grin on her face," Well you just did partner, but you can ask another one." Well at least she has a good sense of humor, I chuckled a little as I responded," Ha, so umm Applejack. What the heck is apple bucking?" As I said this she just giggled and said,"Well partner, hehe, I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise." I had no clue what that pony was talking about, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I started to trot back home, when she yelled at me,"Come early tomorrow Skylar! We have one heck of a harvest coming up!" I looked back and yelled," I'll be sure to remember that! See ya tomorrow!" I was walking home and now had some apples to survive a few days, including the snacks we still had. I crept in the house, only because I didn't want to make noise because the twins could still be asleep. But of course as soon as I closed the door, my sisters came literally out of nowhere and tackled me to the ground. "Hi Skylar! Whatcha bring us?" said both the fillies. But before I could even say anything, the two energetic ponies took the bag full of apples, and devoured them without leaving me one. Somehow I wasn't surprised at this, I just moved toward the kitchen and ate the left over snacks from the ride. But what can I say? Being a big brother you start to get used to things like this.
A Sparkling FriendView OnlineThe New FamilyA Sparkling FriendAfter eating what little snacks were left over from my sisters, I decided to go ahead and look around the town. Since it was already noon and Angel and Annabella hadn't burnt the house down yet, I decided we go out and look around Ponyville, only because I didn't want to leave my sisters alone in the house. "Awhh but Skylar, do we have to go into town?" said the twins simultaneously. "Yes we do, You two can't spend all day in this house. You two need to go meet other ponies and make some friends" But of course, the twins both pouted refusing to leave their cozy new home. And wether they like it or not they are going out of this house. So I had to use force instead of persuasion, and simply dragged both fillies out by their tails, I have to admit though, they did put up one heck of a fight. Of course they both tried to bribe me and tried telling me that no-pony would want to see them, being the new kids in town. "But Skylar! every pony will pick on us and be meanies to us!" said Angel, " Besides Skylar wouldn't you rather stay home, and fly around the fields a few times." said Annabella, trying to deceive me. I was a little aggravated at how the twins tried to wiggle there way out of leaving,"First off, Angel you have no clue what ponies will think of you until you interact with them, and Annabella the last thing I need to do is get in the air after hauling a large cart for six hours." After saying that, both fillies started to walk alongside me, both were pouting and complaining the whole way to Ponyville square. I didn't care what they did, as long as I didn't have to drag them all the way from the house and they were active. You could definitely tell how active the streets were as the sun rose, ponies were everywhere! at the market, in the streets, but still not as packed as Fillydelphia, but had much more hoof room. Besides just that one cart that Applejack owned, tons of carts selling different goodies were filled in the streets. The twins were muttering about the things at the house they could've done instead of coming here, but overall I didn't care what they said about staying home. I was examining the carts and various objects that filled the streets, then both twins stopped right in front of me, almost making me trip. The two fillies had their eyes set on the main street, one at the left and one at the right. Angel had her eyes locked on a bakery called Suger Cube Corner, and Annabella had her sights set on a local library."If you two go within five feet away from me, without asking, you two fillies are going to be in some BIG trouble." I spoke with a bit of anger in my voice at the two of them. Both twins eyes grew large with anticipation, they were silent but had a smile wipe across both their faces. Before I could say anything, they both split in different directions, Angel left to the bakery, and Annabella right to the library. "Sigh, these fillies are going to wear me out the first week here!" I muttered, rolling my eyes. Since I was still so tired from the flight up here, I wanted to get the more cooperative twin first, and then get the other with ease. Since Annabella was always the sweeter one, I decided to go to the library to get her out first. I started trotting over to the large tree where the library was. I wasn't very worried about Annabella, I know she loves books, she wouldn't purposely harm them. But I'm more worried about the owner of the library, Annabella is probably talking that ponies ear of right now! The tree almost looked like a type of home, as well as a library. It had a ton of windows, and some decorations that filled the branches and the bark of the tree. I approached the library door, opening it as quietly as possible. I slowly crept in the main entrance, as I did this I heard some pony talking. At first I thought it was Annabella talking on and on about reading. But to my surprise, my sister was calmly sitting on a pillow and listening to the librarian speak about her knowledge. My jaw almost dropped to the floor, seeing little Annabella quite, listening to the pony very carefully. Only hearing short mutters and whispers, I crept closer toward the two to hear what they were saying. "Ok so all these books are all very interesting, but please do put them back when your done. Ok?" said the librarian. Little Annabella only nodded, she was probably overwhelmed with all the books around her. I still watched Annabella, making sure she wouldn't break anything, until I heard a quite whisper behind me, "Umm what are you doing?" I jumped out of my hiding place and quickly turned around to see what had scared me nearly to death. To my surprise it was a yellow pony that I guess wanted to check out a book, but I didn't really focus on that as soon as I heard that voice, I screamed at the top of my lungs, "AHHHHHHHH!" but somehow the other pony was scared as well, she screamed as well,"AHHHHHH!" both of us were shivering all the way down to our bones. That little outburst of the both of us caused the librarian to come over to the two of us. The librarian came up to us and said, "Fluttershy? what are you doing screaming in my library? We have other readers who want peace and quite." The Yellow pegasus, Fluttershy, finally caught her breath and started to calm down a little bit. "Oh sorry Twilight, I was just a little jumpy I guess, after this pegasus scared me a little bit." Im gonna guess that pegasus was me, because both ponies looked at me with an odd glare. The librarian had a concerned scowl across her face, and the other pony, Fluttershy, trying to hide her face. I decided to speak up before something strange happened. "Oh I'm so sorry girls! I didn't mean any harm, I just wanted to check on my little sister, I hope you can forgive me for making an uproar." When Annabella heard my voice she looked at me as if she were begging, I shook my head and told her,"One second Annabella." Both of their glares turned into smiles as soon as I said I was sorry. "Well aren't you a polite colt!" said the librarian, "Oh since you didn't mean any harm its ok, besides almost everything scares me, but I'm glad you still apologized." said Fluttershy. "Wow that was quick to forgive!" I thought to myself, "I didn't know I had that effect on girls." As my ego was rising rapidly, Annabella came over to me and broke her long silence."Skylar, Skylar, Skylar! I found the most amazing book I've ever seen! So I was wondering, could I please have this book! Please please please!" I let out a loud sigh, but the look on Annabella's face was too much for me to handle, that's too much cute for me. I drooped my head over and kindly asked the librarian," How much for the book ma' am?" She looked at me and Annabella, letting out a "Hmmm" as if she was thinking about how high to raise the price. But a grin started to appear across her face. "Well lets see what book she picked out first, ok Skylar?" she said with a giggle. "Hmmm, she's got a good book too, actually one of my favorites to read. The Elements of Harmony." Just the name of the book sounded like Canterlot Royalty, that book must cost a fortune! I looked at Annabella, Her eyes were still big, with her little lip quivering as if she was about to cry. "Im not going to make my sister cry on our first day here!" I thought to myself. My eyes still looking at Annabella, "What the hay, its just one book."I said silently. I spoke up to the librarian,"alright then... how many pieces for it ma'am." I said with a lot of regret in my voice. The librarian simply giggled and said, "Well Skylar, if she takes good care of it, and you and your sister come and visit every now and then, you can have it for free. does that sound ok?" "By Celestias mane, these ponies are saints!" I thought to myself. Annabella burst out with happiness," Thank you soooo much Ms. Twilight!" Annabella hugged her neck as she said this. Twilight smiled and hugged her back, "Your quite welcome Annabella, So Do we have a deal Skylar?" I quickly replied"Alright I can agree to that, Miss..." "Twilight Sparkle, but please call me Twilight." "Oh ok then thank you for the book Twilight, Im sorry we can't stay and chat, I have to go find my other sister?" But I don't think Twilight really cared, as long as she got to meet us."Ok bye Skylar, bye Annabella!" Annabella and I walked out, with her already nose deep in that book. I still started thinking to myself,"Wow what nice girls, are we technically friends now? Even if that one pony, Fluttershy, got scarred of me and didn't say another word after I apologized? Huh I didn't know I was that charming." I got of track while thinking how good our first day was here. I made some new friends, and Annabella is going to meet some ponies tomorrow at school, and so is Angel, right after I pull her out of that bakery and pay for all the damages she probably did.
Siblings BondView OnlineThe New FamilySiblings BondMe and my little sister trotted away from the library, Annabella was waving back at Twilight in hopes of seeing her again, and reading some more books with her. We both headed towards Sugercube corner, hopping to find Angel not completely filled with sweets from the bakery. Annabella was always the quite one out of the two fillies, but still, she had a more... energetic side to her once her sister Angel got her into trouble. Angel was the complete opposite as the name implies, she had a knack for getting into trouble. She usually got her sister, and sometimes me, into trouble once she got into it. They were both completely different mares, but had their similarities throughout their life. Even if they did get into some sticky situations back in the day, I can't say I didn't enjoy the adventures the two put me through. Especially teaching them their life lessons, growing up. "Yup, life with these two twins sure has its downs, but way more ups." I smiled as I whispered that to myself. While I was thinking about the past, Annabella tugged on my mane and said, "Skylar, we're here." she said that with a giggle because I was completely daydreaming and almost hit the side of the bakery. Annabella was still giggling at me but she stopped as soon as I asked her,"Annabella please, don't encourage your sister to do anything we all will regret when I go in to pull her out, ok? If you will, can you just read your book out here?", Annabella simply nodded and sat down in a chair at the front of the bakery, opening her book and began reading it. I simply smiled at this, I can't say it wasn't cute the way she dug her head into that book, it was adorable how intrigued she was by them. I trusted Annabella to stay put while I went inside, besides she wasn't getting out of that book anytime soon, that thing was huge! I approached the double doors, I inhaled a bit to prepare me for what lied ahead. I walked through the doors of the bakery only to find a clean room but no sister or workers for that matter. Not a single pony was in sight, I started to wonder if Angel left this place and went home. I was extremely worried at this point, I shouted out, "Angel! Where are you?" I was starting to hyperventilate I was so worried, I was about to shout out again with more volume when a loud 'Boom' came from the kitchen, when this happened the entire bakery filled with white powdery flour. I could barely see anything, that flour was like a thick smog, I tried to navigate through the thick flour cloud to look for Angel, but I continuously bumped into things all around me. I was tired of hitting things and wanted to find Angel ASAP "Alright, enough of this!" I said as I flapped my wings violently, clearing the flour cloud almost instantly. Still the cloud left a large amount of flour all around the bakery."Wow this place definitely needs a good sweeping" I thought to myself as I started to walk around the bakery, leaving no stone unturned as I looked for Angel. I suddenly heard giggling in the back of the bakery. I galloped back into the back to find Angel covered in flour and talking to a pink mare. I looked down at Angel as I walked in, I tried to apologize to the girl baking for what my sister had done, but instead heard these words escape the bakers mouth, "Oh hehe darn I guess i grabbed the baking soda, instead of the sugar, my bad! hehe oh well lets try that again." "Huh, the one time Angel is caught in a mess and she didn't cause it, time to bust out the champagne!" I thought to myself. I walked up to them both, winking at my sister for not blowing up the bakery, as she smiled and winked back "Oh I'm sorry if my sister bothered you, can I help you clean up this mess?" Angel only giggled and said, " Yes Skylar that would be great! by the way this is Pinkiepie." She had flour and dough all in her little curls, her ponytail on her mane was completely white, and she had a little bit of crumbs on her mouth, so I could tell she snacked a little bit. As soon as Angel mentioned my name, that pink mare took a big breath and let the words, fly out of her mouth. "Skylar huh? Wow thats an awesome name! Like I said, Im Pinkiepie, I'm one of the bakers around here. Your little sister, man-o-man she sure does know her baking, I mean she helped me make a pie a few minutes ago and it was-" She just kept on and on and on and on. But she did seem very nice and hyper, no wonder my sister wanted to bake with her, she was what Angel called 'Fun'. I smiled and grabbed a nearby broom and started to sweep up the flour from the floor as Pinkie kept talking about her first impression with Angel. Pinkie only went on as she spat the words out at me, "And then this little filly walked in and she looked hungry, and I asked, hey are you hungry, and she said, YES! and so I offered her to come back to the kitchen and bake and then this-" Yup she went on and on and on about Angel, but I didn't mind that, I love hearing good things about my sisters. I finally swept up the last pile of flour, with Pinkiepie still going on about sweets, but she wasn't nearly as bad as when both the twins got full of sugar. "Oh wow this floor looks so much cleaner! Mr. and Mrs. Cake will be so happy you helped, maybe I'll mention you and you can help clean up around here for a job! does that sound good Skylar?" said Pinkiepie "Wow two jobs in just one day, we are definitely gonna make rent and more so with this kind of progress!" I thought to myself. Pinkiepie continued talking but her topic went right back to Angel, "Did I forget to mention that your sister is an amazing baker! She is one of my best helpers! well she's one of only helpers, but thats not the point!" After hearing her talk so much I thought to myself, that girl talks more than she breathes! But she sure did like Angel, maybe Angel could do something that got her focused off of getting into trouble, and finally do something productive. "Uhh may I speak real quick Pinkie?" I asked the energetic filly "Sure Skylar! What is it!" "Well Angel do you like to help Pinkie with baking? The little filly looked up at me with her big blue eyes and said,"Yes Skylar! I love to Bake! Its going to be so much fun doing it with Pinkiepie!" "Well.." I said as my voice trailed off, "I dunno, I don't think Ms.Pinkiepie wants you in her hair." I said with a smirk as Pinkiepie spoke up,"Nooooo, she's not in my hair, she's in my kitchen! she's no where near my hair at all Skylar!" I tried not to laugh as she said that, but kept a straight face and said, "Well I guess when I come to clean up around here, Angel, if you want, you can come and bake with Ms.Pinkiepie. Does that sound all right?" the two gleeful girls jumped on me and put me to the ground, both of them saying in union, "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" They both got off me and I stood up from the floor. I loved to see some pony happy, especially if it was my sisters, or the people they met. I told Pinkie we had to leave for work and school tomorrow, she wasn't to happy about that, but she did give us some sweets from the bakery that her and Angel made as a gift to all of us. I thanked her and me and Angel walked out the door, Annabella was so deep in her book that she didn't even notice we came out. I had to pull her book away from her to get her attention. Even though the girls ran off away from me to go look someplace, I was feeling bad that the twins didn't get to spend enough time with their two new friends, I let both of them say goodbye to each of them before we headed home, being the nice brother that I was. The sun started going down, as we were heading home. While we walked on the dirt trail home, the twins were talking to each other about what they did today and who the met, I was just happy they opened up to some ponies about what they like to do. When we got home I set up dinner for the three of us, giving us all some sweets that Pinkiepie gave us before leaving. The twins both talked non-stop of what they did today, I only nodded and smiled at the conversation the two were having. When we got finished with dinner, both fillies took a shower, and brushed their teeth like good mares do. They both hopped in bed together and got cozy with their favorite stuffed animals beside them. I chuckled at the two, looking so adorable as they got ready for bed. I tucked them both in, and turned of the light and started to close the door. Then the two little fillies said to me, "Skylar, your the best big brother in all of Equestria." they both jumped out of bed and gently hugged me around my neck. After all the things we've been through, I could tell, Ponyville was going to be one of the greatest experiences of our lives.
