Episode One: Hoofington
Seafire felt free. Flying was one of the things that let her escape the confines of Hoofington High School. Just north of her over the Sea of Tranquility, Equestrian Defensive Fleet squadrons were doing drills.
Elita Fang and Sunbeam watched as the race pony went through her drill. There was a deep blue blur as she brushed passed their airship.
"She's good, isn't she?" The pegasus stallion asked hir threstral friend.
"Not as good as me." Elita retorted.
The pegasus brushed her curly, two toned mane as she rolled inverted and pulled away from the Ignus. Seversky stumbled as the wind nearly knocked him off the Cliffside. He brushed off his drab olive green mane. "Crikey..."
Finally, the young race pony landed in front of her brother with a smirk.
"Thirty three seconds, sis. Not bad, but still could use improvement." The silver unicorn smiled.
Seafire sighed as the grin dissolved. And I have to give this brat a ride home now as well...

Hoofington High School, Seafire's Pov
The High School's lockers never were in ship safe. For example, if you kick my lock five times fast, it'll release. I opened the creaky door for a note to fall out.
Dearest Seafire,
You've been getting these notes for quite a while, but I still haven't worked up the courage to tell you who I am. I do not feel deserving of your beauty....or gracefulness. You captivate me every moment of the day, yet I cannot seem to bring myself to talk to you.
You can fly faster than Rainbow Dash and turn faster than Spitfire...
I didn't bother finishing the letter. I never knew who it was, but someone repeatedly telling me that I was a hot mare was just plain ol' creepy.
I ran down the hallway to my AP Physics class. Late again. Last time I was this far behind, Ms. Harshwhinny made me stay outside for the period...landing me with detention courtesy the principal.
Hmm...there has to be some way to get into that classroom without her knowing.
Honors Biology Room, Sea Fury's Pov
I watched as Seafire walked backwards into the room. Late again. What was she-
"Seafire, back in your seat."
...Smart mare. She always was the one with the agility, speed, and mental prowess between us two, even though we look nearly identical. Oh, and she always seemed to attract more stallions.
Me? I tended to do better in climbing, diving, and endurance. While I wasn't as pretty, I certainly did know my strengths and weaknesses.
"As I said class, today we will be dissecting toads."
Ew.
"Pick your partners."
Yay. Seafire and I instinctively looked at each other.
Sovremenny's Pov
Seafire excitedly shoved her knife into the dead toad's stomach. Who knew stabbing a dead animal would be this fun?
Sea Fury let out another loud groan as the corpse let out a squelch, and she chuckled.
"What's wrong? Wittle Furwy scared of a wittle bwood?"
"S...shut up!"
I dreamily stared at my crush.
"Soveremenny, focus!" Udaloy yelled at me. We were two best friends, inseparable in every way. "We need to get our organs out-"
"What?!" Everypony present yelled.
"Sorry...I meant our toad's organs out."
Everypony visibly relaxed.
"Good going, Uddie. That was my crush, which you turned away."
"Like I care." He scoffed. "All I want is a good grade."
I sneaked another look at Seafire. Damn, she was hot.
Hoofington Elementary, Seafire's Pov
"Seversky! Over here!" My little brother ran over, eyes glittering like stars. I turned to Sea Fury.
"Hide the flagstones."
"On it."
I turned back to Seversky and held a cheerful mask. "Hey, big guy. Fury and I have a race, so stay out of things. Kay, thanks, bye!"
We rushed off for the corn field to the time trial with Fury's older brother.
"Hey, ladies!" He waved his hoof and we walked over. Lowering his voice, he grinned. "There's a Grand Championship in Cloudsdale. Win this race, you can go. Win first prize for the trial and you win five thousand solar bits."
My eyes widened. The usual grand prizes I got tended to be two hundred lunar bits.
Including this race. Everypony was already seated. I happened to be the last of the two racers (the other pony being Fury).
I did some last minute checks on my wing and tail, then motioned to the race tower that I was ready. Fury had already readied up.
The stallion at the flag raised the green banner...then let it fly.
Fury's Pov
Seafire was off like a firework. Quickly taking first, she barreled into the first air-point and curved left. As I pulled behind her in second, I noticed a feather in her left wing was loose....
Seafire's Pov...again
Shortly after takeoff, I felt some crazy drag on my left side. I looked back.
"Seafire! Feather on your left wing!"
Indeed, Fury. I gotta finish this lapped race though.
Rolling left and right as close as the cloud pylons as possible, I barreled for the finish line. The race was meant to take five minutes; in my adrenaline, I knew I could cut that in half...but I didn't. Sea Fury was the first across the line, and I ditched into a mud puddle. I pulled myself out and limped over to her.
"So. Good race..." I muttered awkwardly.
"Take the bits. You know that my family is rich."
"No, you earned-"
"You should have won. Now take them before I shove them down your throat."
I let out a long sigh. There was no arguing with that mare...
