Angels Born From Fire

Once again I was in the void of my subconscious and once again in the void was the two figures from last time "you just can't seem to stay safe and away from danger" the red and black figure at this point I have been calling 'yin' said.

I look at him with a no more than a deadpan look "did you think I would just let someone die in front of me if I was able to stop it" to said a little annoyed by my predicament.

"We know you would never stand idly by as somepony was hurt if you could stop it" the gold and white figure that I now proclaimed to be 'yang' said.

"Well I'm back here and don't know what to say really" I said not really having any questions for them.

"Good because we have somethings we might have forgot to tell you when we helped you and your friend out" Yang said with a hint of shyness in her voice.

I look at her a little curious about what she forgot "And what are these things you forgot?" I asked trying to figure out what she was trying to tell me.

"Well you should already know that your mind and body are in two different places your, consciousness is here while your body is in the real world.... well your body is reacting really badly to the magic in your body and is now..... burning as we speak" Yin said poking his two pointer fingers together.

I think my eye twitched a bit at that last part "Please one of you explain" I told the to figures that have been in my mind ever since I got to this world.

"Well the magic we used to bring you here is now in you and you can use it on your own but I'm not surprised by that but since your body is not like ours and it was not originally something you had your body is making it into it's own and the reaction is that your body is burning but you are not on fire your body is just smoking at the moment" Yang said explaining my situation.

"I don't know why I should be worried that if my body is just smoking and not on fire I think I'll be fine" I said not caring about how my body was reacting.

Yin was surprised by my response "But you could die!" he said starting to freak out.

"listen do you know how high my blood temp is, seriously you could use my skin to make breakfast. not that I want some one to use me as a human stove or anything" I said trying to calm down.

"And what does you'er high blood temperature have to do with anything" Yang said not getting what I'm getting at.

"If nether of you remember my body has practically been on fire for a long time even in cool weather I was able to keep myself worm with nothing more than a pair of jeans and a jacket" I said trying to make them calm down.

"True you have been known for surviving worse" Yang said finally.

"So how long while I be here this time?" I asked them both.

"Well your about to wake up actually" Yin said.

Point of view-David

I stood there watching as my best friend started to scream and I could see why his whole body was starting to smoke like he was being roasted from the inside out. the doors to my left swung open and some doctors and nurses rushed to Chris's side trying to fix what was wrong.

"What the hell is going on. what is happening to him?" I yelled freaking out because my friend was literally burning alive.

"I have no idea but what ever it is it wont stop" The doctor closes to me said equally terrified about what was happening.

After a half hour of this Chris finally stopped screaming and moving all at once even though he was not screaming any more I was more worried now than when he was. After all this happened I sat down in the chair next to his bed and I look at the nurse leaving the room she was the same from when Chris was first put in here "Miss what did that to him do any of you know what the hell just happened?" I asked.

The nurse looks at me with a sad expression "I don't know what was the cause of this and I don't think the others do either" She said with a saddened look on her face as she look to where Chris lay.

"Miss I'v seen you around here a lot and I think I might see you more if this keeps happening so what's your name?" I asked the woman.

"My name is nurse RedHeart and I think so to" Nurse RedHeart said with a sad smile I knew she would rather meet on better terms. as she leaves the room I hear a groan coming from Chris.

"Bro are you awake?" I asked a little above a whisper.

Point of view-Chris

I open my eyes to be met with a bright light and I just groan and close my eyes 'screw you light let me sleep some more' I think to myself.

I just roll on my side not giving a shit about how much my body hurt. "Bro are you awake?" I heard David say and I just roll over again way from him and pull up the blanket.

"I'll take that as a yes" he said chuckling to him self.

I heard a door slam open "What happened, where is he, is he ok" Said a alarmed voice that I recognized as Twilight. I look outside from my covers to be tackled by a yellow blur.

"Thank goodness you're ok we heard what had happened and we rushed over here to see you" Fluttershy said Crying in my chest.

I regain my composure or what I had to begin with and pat her on the head 'Why is everyone so emotional' I thought to my self as usual. "Hay what happened to that one woman that I was with before I was stabbed by something, I mean is she ok?" I asked concerned about the woman that I had been with before I had gotten stabbed by that one creature.

They look at me like I was crazy "Darling she is completely fine, minus a few mental scares, it's you we are worried about we had heard that you were burning up to the point to where your flesh was smoking" Rarity said beginning gagging because of the thought.

"So what happened and how did I get to the hospital before I bled out?" I asked.

"Well we went to find you and we saw a, Mare?" David said looking at the group who just nodded. "The mare was covered in blood and holding a kid we thought she was attacked so we tried to help her but she was saying that there was somepony on the hill hurt and I went to see what happened. Only to find you with a hole in your chest and a dead Manticore?" he said looking back at the group again getting another nod from the group of five ponies and the one still holding onto my chest "Manticore dead in front of you" he finished.

"Not even the Docs know how ya survived" Applejack said as Fluttershy let go of my chest and went back to her friends.

"Well i'm glade your ok man" David said, as he got up a guy in a mailman uniform came walking in through the double doors.

He walked up to twilight and pulled out two letters before talking "Mrs Twilight, Mr Chris I have some letters for you." Me and Twilight take our respected letters from the mailman.

Before I could ask him who sent these but the mailman was gone. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot about this" I look to Twilight who was somehow done reading her letter before I could even open mine.

"What's going on?" I ask.

She snapped her towards me so fast that it should have Broken her neck. "I have a heart warming party to go to" Twilight said. I just give her a questioning look. "You know. Snow, eggnog, stuff like that" She said clearly not getting that fact that me and David came from a completely different world.

I would have said something but David step in first. "From where we are from we call that Christmas" He Said.

David pulls out an old photo from his back pocket and showed them it. The photo showed them me, David, Nathan, and Drake Sitting in front of a Christmas tree with a few other things in the background. "Why do some of them have red X's over them?" Rainbow asked.

As David puts the photo away I decide it's my turn to talk "Some times it's just easier to mark'em off than to have to bury  them." After I said that the room became quiet. I take this moment to open my letter's? 'Wait I thought he only handed me one' I thought to my self. Opening the first letter that was from someone named Derpy.

It read

Hope you get well soon and thank you for saving me and my daughter

PS. I hope to see you at Pinkies hearths warming party.

I would have opened the second letter but the fact that the letter had invitation on it made me just take a guess who's party it was. Something about the get well card made me feel uneasy it was probably the part where it read 'see you at the party' because how would she know I would even be able to make it.

After signing myself out of the hospital once again I walked outside to be met with a cold breeze hitting my face. "Well this is going to be awkward"I say rubbing my arms.
