"I'm sorry" Twilight sparkle cried as she finished writing her final letter the the princess. Bowing her head twilight cried, wishing that she could go back time and change what she had done.
"Dear Princess Celestia,
Some say that everything that you go through makes you who you are, but then where does that leave me? Sitting here with a colt 45, sleeping pills and a bottle of jack. I regret everything I ever did in my life. When I was 18 I went off to Canterlot university where I was at the top of the class, thanks to your instruction. Little did anyone know that I was completely addicted to heroin at the time. I could not go 6 hours without a dose.
My addiction got so bad that I would even steal from Walmart and return the good for a gift card, which I would then exchange for cash. I even went as far as to steal from the royal treasury, thousands of bits. I cleaned up my act when my grandmother got put in the hospital, I never thought she would make it. When I got the news I was high as a kite.
I just sat in my chair and cried, thinking to myself "if she were to die right now and could see me, what would she think of me? Would this be how I would want her to remember me?
So that day I quit heroin. I haven't touched it in 5 years.
I regret what I've done every moment of every day and have a very hard time living with myself day to day, but today that ends. I'm ending my life... Oh who am I kidding? I won't do this, that's why I'm writing this, and why you'll never read it. I'm just too much of a coward to go out that way. "
Twilight looked down at the bottle of jack and took a drink that would have made berry punch envious. "Oh I can't do it." Putting the gun back in the lock-box in her closet she sighed. "I'm not worth the space on Equestira, so why can't I just save the world some space being taken up by a useless waste of space like me? Why was I even born?"
With the sleeping pills back in the medicine cabinet, and the colt locked up, Twilight continued to drink the bottle of Jack until it was empty. Satisfied that the answer was not in the bottom of that bottle twilight decided to go to bed, maybe things would be better in the morning, maybe this would all just be a bad dream. She wished for that every night she went to sleep, to wake up from this nightmare she called a life.
After stumbling her way up the stairs to her room, twilight managed to lift the floor vent to her room and pulled out a folder with the words "TOP SECRET" written on it. Carefully the lavender mare placed the newest letter in her folder and replaced it and the grate. Slowly the mare made her way to her bed and flopped down.
"Why." Twilight asked herself over and over as she cried herself to sleep. "Why me?"
