Everypony Hates Applebloom

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

When I was in times of need, there were three things I would run to: Friends, Family, Fritter.

Cousin Apple Fritter was one of those ponies you could spend all day with. Sure, she wasn't part of my immediate family, but she was still there nonetheless. From playing with the dogs, to helping raise a barn, Fritter could do it all. She even challenged my sister Applejack to an apple fritter eating contest, and won. Now, I wasn't really as surprised as I ought to have been, cuz y'know, her name is Fritter for Luna's sake, but I didn't see how much that tore up my sister.

Taking pride to her head, Applejack constantly tried to beat Fritter, but always came up short when they would compete. I always thought it was a waste of money, and moreso a waste of time. And on top of that, I'm pretty sure we were closer to going bankrupt from eating all of produce than Applejack and Fritter were to sugar diabetes.

My main concern was if Applejack could even function knowing she has lost something. And she ain't really the type to let stuff go. I remember this one time at a fair...

Applebloom ran to Applejack to pull her to a stand where one would have to pop a balloon with a small pin in order to win a stuffed plushie. There was a dragon, an alicorn, and a can of beans. Wanting so bad the alicorn, Applebloom begged her sister to try and win it for her. Putting down a bit to play, Applejack won pretty easily.

"Ooo! Can I get the alicorn now?" Applebloom cried in excitement.

"Yeah, bring us down that alicorn right there," Applejack said.
