Sunset Shimmer is still remorseful for all of the mistakes she made and who she could have become. With the portal opening and Twilight Sparkle too busy to visit, Sunset decides that this is the best time for her to go back to her homeland and reminisce. This of course requires her to sneak back into the magical world she once called home since it is up in the air whether she is even allowed on the other side of the portal.
