A little over 1000 years before the current events, a massive black dragon with glowing green eyes shelters an abnormally small Crystal pony in a cave south of the mighty Empire from which she hails. A massive storm rages outside of their shelter, screams of pain abuse the ears of the pair, but fall silent soon after. Cries of joy fill the cave, the tears of sorrow a moment after.

This is the tale of Tempestus, a pony of a new breed.
