On the 21st August, 2015, Ponyville resident Pinkamena "Pinkie" Diane Pie had reportedly gone missing. A search was conducted, the guards checked all the homes in Ponyville, and when investigators checked Sugarcube corner, they found the body of Miss Pie, dead. The crime scene was blocked off and the Cakes, the owners of the establishment, were taken in for questioning. They were later released due to lack of evidence.
Miss Pie seemed to have been attacked by some form of animal, as scratch marks were found on her throat, along with several bruises.

The guards also took in her 5 other friends for questioning. Miss Dash, Miss Sparkle, Miss Shy, Miss Rarity and Miss Jack. They were all proven not guilty. Miss Sparkle reported that Miss Pie had been experiencing what seemed to be panic attacks, and seemed to constantly catching fevers a few weeks before the attack.

During the interview with Miss Sparkle, she said the following.

"I always knew Pinkie was rather strange, but hey, that's Pinkie for you. At least, that's what we all thought. She had a fever a few weeks before this happened, and she couldn't seem to get rid of it. She wasn't as happy as usual, preferring to stay in her room, because something was 'following her'. I didn't believe her.
It's horrible not knowing what happened to her... was it suicide, or was it something else...it hate not knowing. "

At this point in the interview Miss Sparkle broke into tears, and the team was unable to console her, and had to escort her out. When investigating the crime scene, the room was extremely broken up, suggesting signs of a struggle. A box was found near the window in the room, which was also cracked. The box contained 7 tapes, all in decent condition. We were given permission to release them. This is the following content of those 7 tapes.

Tape 1
As the recording starts, Miss Pie seems to be at a party, as the area is filled with balloons and confetti. Miss Pie seems to be bouncing up and down, as the camera is bouncing slightly in her hooves. She turns the camera to face her, and smiles.

"I'm so excited! Someone new just moved into Ponyville, and we're totally here to welcome him!"

She turns the camera back and points it at a white stallion, who smiles and waves at the camera before returning to chatting with a friend.
Miss Pie walks over to a group of small foals, who look up at her, smile and wave at the camera, a few pulling funny faces.

"Hey kids! Wanna play a game?"

The foals squeal in excitement and the tape cuts off . The area of the party has now been identified and is being searched for evidence.

Tape 2
This time, Miss Pie seems to have set the camera on her window. It appears to be night, as seen by the stars and dark sky outside at the time. Nothing of substance happens, until the shape of a pony appears from behind a building. It looks unnatural, with a larger body than average, even for a stallion. It is mostly obscures, although it's teeth can clearly be seen. It appears to be smiling. It steps out slowly, in a limping motion before dashing quickly past the view of the camera. A loud rustling is heard as the camera is picked up, and Miss Pie stares into the screen, frowning, looking panicked.

"Did you see it?!"

The tape cuts off at this point, slightly glitching at the end. The creature has not yet been identified.

Tape 3
Miss Pie is in her room, looking clearly shaken. She audibly gulps and stares into the camera. She is clearly lacking sleep, and her mane is messier than usual.

"It tried to get in today"

Her voice is difficult to make out, as there is a light static in the background, and she is speaking softly.

She points a shaking hoof past the camera.

"Mr and Ms Cake have gone on vacation...They have no clue what I'm going through. It was right there, at the door, it headbutted the door really hard. When I checked, it didn't even leave a mark. I know I'm not imagining it, I know I'm not crazy. Twiliht, if you're listening to this, I'm not lying, something is following me. I don't know what, but it's something. "

She shudders. An audible bang is heard from what seems to be downstairs.

"Do you hear it? It's trying to get in again. It's even worse at night, it gets kinda angry and...it just...toys with me. But, there's one thing I noticed about it...it can change shapes. It seems to have moulded into my body shape, but it's bigger...and more...off. I'm afraid, please send help!"

The tape cuts off, and for a split second, something appears to flash outside the window. When paused at that moment, it appears to be Miss Pie. With certain strange qualities,like teeth appearing to glow .

Tape 4
This tape is extremely short, and Miss Pie doesn't seem to be the one recording it. Dark pink hooves are visible, and seem to be rotted beyond recognition. Dark pink flaps of fur hang from them. A loud, shrill screech is heard, along with what appears to be ringing, and loud static. This continues as the camera is carried, into the open where it appears to be night. A small foal is wandering the streets, looks up at the camera and screams. The camera is dropped and a loud crunch is heard before the camera cuts out.
The foal was also reported missing.
Several officers were dismissed due to violent sickness after watching this tape.

Tape 5
Miss Pie is visibly getting more tired, and is still badly shaken.

"I found my camera on my doorstep.... I...I. ."

She audibly sobs, her crying going on for a while, before she sniffs loudly.

"T-that poor f-filly... And her p-parents....imagine h-how upset they a-are..why did this h-happen to m-me? WHY CELESTIA?"

She appears to slam the ground in front of her, still crying, louder now. A gentle static comes into play as a dark figure yet again flashes.

"NO! GO AWAY! DONT HURT ANYONE ELSE!"

An audible, distorted voice is heard, softly chanting in an unknown language, with rather off putting static and screeching noises.
Princess Celestia herself couldn't identify what tongue it was speaking in. She has been scarred by these tapes and refuses to talk about the case for now, put promises that a funeral be arranged for the filly and Miss Pie, and she will do everything in her power to find the culprit.

Tape 6
At this point half of the officers have taken days off, due to sickness and being disturbed by the footage.
Celestia doesn't blame them, and has given them 5 days off, and thanked the remaining officers for sitting through these tapes.

Miss Pie is sobbing loudly, as a loud banging can be heard at the door to her room, like hooves bashing against the door violently.

"It's here! It's here to get me! T-This is to all my friends, I love you guys so much, you guys mean the w-world to me, and i-I couldn't have a-asked for better friends.."

The door is clearly buckling now under the weight of the currently unseen force. It finally splinters and there is a loud screech, and the camera lands on the floor, and a loud struggle is heard in the background. Miss Pie shrieks and then goes oddly quiet.
A low gurgle emits from her throat. This is presumably the moment where she got the three slits on her throat. A triumphant screech is heard and the tape cuts out.

Tape 7
The final tape disturbed our officers the most. It seemed to be the worst in terms of condition and content. The tape was severely smashed up.

The camera lays in the broken up room. It is glitching constantly. The body of Miss Pie is clearly seen, in a pool of blood with the three slices across her throat, her eyes wide open in shock, tears staining her cheeks. Two familiar rotting hooves pick up the camera, it rather slowly turns to reveal the creatures face.
It's face looks like it is also rotting. It appears to have several mouths and eyes. The blood of Miss Pie is sprayed across it. It licks it's own face then all of its mouth's appear to smile maniacly before dropping the camera with a thud.

The investigation has not yet been closed. No records have been found for this creature other than the footage we have found now. The only thing we really know about this creature is that it cannot be a changeling. Changelings do not possess this kind of transforming ability, they can only transform into exact copines of the pony.
