Raining Teddy Bears (6:00: Fluttershy & Rarity)

(Skipping this chapter isn't bad, but there is a possibility of missing something important.)

No,
More forgiveness,
No,
I'll bring you death and pestilence,
I'll bring you down on my own.

I have returned!

A gloomy window shot rays of light into the yellow pegusus's face, waking her. She slowly lifted her head, looking around, then to her marefreind. Or is it marewife? It doesn't matter, what matters is who it is. The awake pony took a hoof and ran it down the white unicorns leg, which was wrapped around her. "Wake up Rarity, it's morning."

Rarity opened her eyes, being met by the other ponies gaze. "Fluttershy, what time is it?"

"It's six Rarity, I think we should get some breakfast before today's plans. If you wan't to...that is." Fluttershy was herself, shy even around her own wife. Or is it husband? It still doesn't matter.

"Oh darling, of course we should get breakfast. That is a great idea." Rarity gave her a short kiss, before heading to the bathroom. On normal days she would be in there for what felt like days, but since it was the second to last day on the island, it didn't really matter. A lady like class or no class, I just want to spend the day with the pony I love, no intrusions.

The first step outside was met by the bright sun. The windows inside may have seemed gloomy, but the sky has turned out to be worse. The first stop for the ponies, otherwise, was the barn. In the middle of the four cabins was the main barn. The barn was turned into a small hotel with a cafe on the ground floor. Cafe Shi was the name, which they found out meant Cafe Swamp.

A weird name for a cafe normally, but when it's located in the middle of a swamp there is a change for "normal". Inside where about seven other ponies, four at a single table, one cleaning the floor, and the other behind the register. Fluttershy and Rarity took the two pony seat near the four others. "Hello, welcome to Cafe Shi, what may I get you?'

"No menu?" Rarity was dumbfounded. No menu, what kind of cafe is this?

"Oh, sorry mam, this is not the best place for food. All we have are eggs and coffee, or orange juice...or water."

"Um, I'll just take a decaf coffee, what about you Flutter?"

"Just some orange juice, thank you." She waited for the waiter to break her smile. The room was otherwise quiet, except for the four others.

"What do you mean the pheromone could be here in this dimension? Also, why are we ponies?" One of them seemed very angered. "Don't speak of this now, we can't have others worrying."

There was a short wait for the drinks, as that is all they ordered. In the midst of waiting, they began to hear strange noises from the top floor of the barn.

The room was starting to get quiet, more awkward than natural. It might have been because one of the four ponies was staring at the two mares. Rarity broke the silence, as to ignore these rude ponies. "So Fluttershy, you never really told me about your first dates, did you? If you don't mind me asking who they where of course."

"Oh, um, I never really...I have never dated anypony else." Fluttershy spoke from behind her hair.

"Well sometimes a change is good, right?" Rarity took one of her marefriends hooves into her own.

"Yea, I guess your right...did you hear that sound too?" The two looked up at the ceiling, the sound growing louder, until a faint scream. "Oh my, what...what was that?"

"Regi, who had the upstairs room?" The cashier said.

"Um, some random stallion, I think his name was something like Dr. Fredrick. What ever kind of name that is."

"Well, we can't leave our post here, so who here is willing to check up on him? How about you two, as these four haven't been around here for long."

"No thanks, I think...." Fluttershy was cut off by Rarity, "Of course we will, I think his attitude need dealt with if he is going to be rude like that." She stood up, noticing how scared the pegasus was. "Oh Fluttershy, nothing bad will happen, just stay close to me, ok?"

Slowly the two made their way to the register to pay for the drinks, grabbed the spare room keys, and headed upstairs. The closer they got, the louder the noise was heard. After an unsure look towards her marefriend, Rarity slid the key into the door, unlocking it. Before she opened it she knocked, asking if everything was alright. No answer. She opened the door slowly, and the sounds from the room stopped. The next sight was the worst for the ponies. Within the room where at least three broken windows, a crushed lamp shade, and a pony, hanging from the ceiling. A rope was tied around its neck, and below it was a small line of blood.

In the blood where words, that intern showed: Welcome to Shi No Numa, Swamp of the Dead!

The two ponies screamed in horror as they ran from the room, about falling down the steps.

See with your eyes,
my army of flies,
when no one's alive.

Bring me 115!

-

"Wait, did you just say that the pony hung itself?" The two made it into the cafe, and explained what they had seen. At least from Rarity's point of view as Fluttershy was still freaking out. The four that where at the table earlier had cleared out, and left a pile of cups in the middle of the table.

Rarity took a deep breath before speaking again, "Yes, we entered the room, the window was broken, lamp crushed, and a pony was hanging from the ceiling. The worse part is below the pony was words written in blood, Welcome to Shi No Numa, Swamp of the Dead."

"Alright, head back to your cabin while we put a call in for some emergency assistance. This hasn't happened in over thirty years."

[Author's Note: Sorry for another short, and fast chapter. The first four are really just explaining how it all started. When I get to chapter five, that is when things will look for the better side of the writing. Thanks for waiting, otherwise!]
