(A ponified re-telling of the classic tale of Dr Frankenstein and his monster, with a few new twists.)

For as long as I have lived, none have ever dared to speak aloud the doctors’ name, and yet, for near a century, he has lain beneath the earth, left alone to his eternal sleep. Why then, are the ponies of the village so burdened by his memory?

The answer is simple; they fear what he has done. His body may lie within his tomb, but his heritage stumbles on.

This is what brings ponies to a cold sweat in the night, what leads them to lock their doors and glance over their shoulders, and tell their children that, whatever they do, they must never enter the forest alone.
The lonely memory which is all that remains of him. The horrible truth of his research. That which is both his greatest creation, and most terrible curse.

Six went in in pieces, she came out a whole.
A marvel. A miracle. A monster.
