Chapter 1
Fluttershy sat there surrounded by her animal friends who were trying their hardest to help her. One of Fluttershy's animals had died earlier that morning, and her other ones had woken her up after they had found his corpse. She had been crying for the next few minutes in disbelief as she set up a funeral for him. She hadn't stopped crying until she eventually fell asleep next to the newfound grave.
                                                                                       -----The next day-----
Pinkie Pie was walking around Ponyville trying to find her shy pegasus friend. "Fluttershy?!" she screamed out, it was around noon and Fluttershy had promised to meet her at Sugarcube Corner to watch Gummy for her. "Where are you?!" Pinkie called out again. Pinkie had finally had enough and decided to go over to Fluttershy's cottage to drop off Gummy instead. After knocking on her house's door about five times, Fluttershy finally answered it. "Fluttershy I hope you have a goo-" Pinkie stopped mid-sentence when she looked up at Fluttershy. Her mane was tangled, her eyes were all puffy and she looked overall sickly. It was to a point where Pinkie instantly regreted being so angry at her.
"Good what?" Fluttershy sounded groggy and confused. Apparently she didn't notice the angry tone in Pinkie's voice before. The earth pony couldn't respond as she felt too worried about one of her best friends.
     "A-Are you alright Fluttershy?" was Pinkie's only answer and just about the only thing she cared about at that time.
  The mare yawned before responding, "Ye-yeah why?" Pinkie quickly reminded her about what they had planned and Fluttershy's eyes widened before she apoligized like crazy. "I'll definitely take him in, even r-right now if you want!" Fluttershy had stuttered a little, before seeing Pinkie's worried look. "Is something wrong Pinkie?" Pinkie just sat there, staring at her.
"I should be asking you that!" The earth pony said with utter concern while pointing a hoof in her direction. Fluttershy realized what she meant and cast her gaze at the ground refusing to look into Pinkie's eyes. "Fluttershy?" Pinkie with a jolt knew what that look meant and was struck with sympathy. "I'm sorry Fluttershy," Pinkie said solemly.
"Huh? For what..?" Fluttershy took the risk and looked back at her friend. Though Fluttershy had asked the question, Pinkie Pie's look gave the answer to her. 'She knows doesn't she? It's written all over my face I bet'.
