There were no alarms of incoming invaders, not aerial attacks, no explosions. It was a quiet and peaceful morning for Pyros and his family. Pyros's  family was well respected due to his fathers position as a general of the republic. His Father was getting ready to leave in order to train Republic troops for war. “Hey dad do you think I can come with you to work this time.” Pyros asked. “I’m afraid not it’s not that I don’t think you can handle it….But I need you to stay here and watch your mother and sisters. Do you think you can do that for me?” He asked. Pyros was a bit disappointed but nodded his head in agreement. “Thank you I promise when all of this is over you can come to work with me.” “Promise?” The young drake asked. “I promise Pyros.” His father said as he walked out the door ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Two hours have passed since his father left and things were still good in Kastora and Pyros was going to make the best of today. He took his sisters outside to play, after a while the three drakes sat down and relaxed. His sisters names were Alexa and Delta “Hey Pyros who do you think is going to stop Albino?” Delta asked. But before he could answer Alexa spoke first. “It’s obviously going to be Captain Steel Wings he’s the fastest pony out there and has defeated an entire squad of Insurrectionists.” She said with a heart shaped eyes and giggled a bit. “Well I think it’s…..” Pyros said but was once again silenced by his sisters. “No it’s going to be Black Cloak he’s the most powerful shadow dragon out there and defeated an entire battalion of those creeps haaaa….” She said as she began to daydream. “Alright guys you both do realize that those two are six years older than you?” He said. “So that doesn’t mean we can’t dream.” Alexa said. “Well smart guy who do you think is going to get us out of this mess Hmmm?” Delta asked. “Well I think it’s going to be The legendary fire pony.” “Oh really what’s so great about him?” Alexa asked. “Well if you actually paid attention to dad’s stories then maybe you would know that nopony knows who he but the stories say that he was just a field commander when the war started. But one day something happened to him and he gained the powers of dragon and trampled a thousand Insurrectionist soldiers and he fought Albino himself and lived. He even saved dad’s life.” He said with an excited grin. Pyros continued to tell the stories of the mysterious fire pony and the battles he fought in. The girls were starting to like the mysterious pony of legend. Pyros soon finished his tale and waited for the girls response. “Well what do ya…..” He was soon cut off by both his sister’s scream of joy. He already knew where this was going. “Oh my gosh I wonder what he looks like….” Alexa said with a squee. “I wonder if he’s cute?” Delta asked. “It would be so awesome just to meet him.” They both said with glee. Pyros only had a blank expression. “Alright guys it’s getting late now….I still can’t believe I was talking for four hours when we could have had lunch.” He said as his stomach growled. Soon he heard the girls stomachs growl for food and saw a blush on both their faces. “Yeah lets get something to eat now.” “Hehehe yeah.” Delta said. But she seemed to realize that the sky was different it was completely black as clouds began to spin. “Hey guys we were scheduled for a rain storm today?” She asked. “No we weren’t. What’s going on?” Pyros asked. Something isn’t right here All of them soon flew towards the gates of the main entrance and saw ponies, griffons, wolves, and dragons swarming it while a tall female red dragon with blue spins trying to calm everyone. “Listen this isn’t a time to panic we still have time before Albino and his forces arrive. Our forces will intercept them and buy us time to evacuate at dawn. In the mean time pack your things and be ready to move out by dawn.” She said. “BUT WHAT IF THEY COME SOONER!!!” A pony yelled from the crowd and soon ponies began to agree. “Then we fight back ponies, griffons, dragons, and wolf people that have fighting experience will remain behind to defend this city and our military is sending out reinforcements. We have also sent word to Princess Celestia for aid. All we can do now is wait for reinforcements to come. I will stand against Albino’s forces and defend our home. I promise till my last breath. ” She said. Soon a few of those started whispering to each other. Pyros for his part was frightened and his sisters soon had the same idea to leave. But they didn’t want to either. A little while after the meeting they flew towards the wall protecting the city and contemplated what they should do. “I can’t believe we are leaving.” Delta said. “I know but we don’t have much of a choice we have to leave.” Pyros said. “This is the only place in Helios that is safe. We have to believe that our dad will stop Albino….He’s our only hope.” Alexa said. “Don’t worry we will come back once all of this is over. Now we better head back or else mom is going to kill us.” Pyros said with a chuckle soon Delta joined in but when he turned to see Alexa he only saw horror on her face. “Alexa what’s wrong?” He asked. They all turned looking towards where Alexa was looking and what they saw horrified them. They saw a pure white dragon in the distance with red glowing eyes wearing black armor, leading an army of Insurrectionists soldiers. “Gggg….guys...it’s….Albino.” She shuddered. They saw how his wings flared up and began to turn red like his eyes. Pyros wasn’t sure what was about to happen but he pushed his sisters off the wall and carried them as he took flight. Albino flapped his wings releasing multiple beams of red energy beams unto the city destroying the wall. “This is where Kastora Falls!!! ATTACK!!!!” Soon his forces charged ahead ready to slaughter everypony, dragon, and griffon that resided within the city. Pyros only had one thought on his mind as he released his sisters in order for them to take flight This can’t be happening. End of Chapter //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Prologue I was very young when the war began. I remember that our home was once as peaceful paradise like Equestria. But soon it all fell apart. Had any of us had known what would happen by letting Albino have his way. Then we wouldn’t have done it. Four six years we have been at war with Albino and his growing army of Insurrectionists. He vowed to destroy or enslave all of those who defied him and his rule. Legend has it that he is more powerful than Princess Celestia. Others say he is a god that nopony or dragon can defeat him. But as for me I don’t think he is a god because of the stories I’ve heard of the pony who challenged him and escaped with his life. I don’t know who he is but he is giving us a reason to fight back. My father says that he knew this pony when they were teenagers, that he was a very powerful and kind. Everyday I pray to Celestia to help us, to give us a reason to fight, and she has fulfilled that promise. We may not be winning this war right now but I know whoever this pony is I know he will pull us out of the darkness and bring us too the light of Celestia's Sun. My name is Pyros and this is the story on how I met him.
