Chapter 1: Differences

I sighed, sitting in my office. I run a factory that kills fillies and colts, and turns them into rainbows. At first I didn't like it, but ever since I've killed the one stopping me from doing it, shouldn't I be happy? I groaned hearing the alarms. Another filly has escaped the cell again. I looked on a map to see that she's running towards the exit. I took a secret passage, behind my office chair and galloped to the exit. I tackled a filly with white fur and a blue mane.

"What do you think you're trying to do huh?" I asked roughly, grabbing her.

"Please don't make me go back ple-" was all she could say before a colt stole her away from me, and kept galloping. It took me a minute, but I realized what happened and I grabbed a knife I was issued with ever since the 'Chicken Incident'. It was in case some filly or colt was way ahead of me. I grabbed it, and threw it. It hit the colt's wing, making him go down with a crash. I started feeling the usual sensation of a serial killer, and kicked the filly into the wall. I turned to the colt and was punched squarely on the muzzle. It didn't hurt too much, but I stumbled back a bit. He started to throw another punch, but I grabbed his hoof and slung him into the wall. Two pegasi helped me get them to the machine. I went to my office, and sighed. This was the fifth time this week. I didn't care if they escaped the cell, but my employees need better weapons. I didn't like to do this, but I need to do something. I flew to the ground, taking a few ten bits. I didn't like visiting Pinkie in a bad mood, which I knew about since there were thunder clouds over Sugarcube Corner. I opened the door, hearing the same annoying ring. The pink straight-maned serial killer sighed seeing me.

"What do you want Rainbow?" Pinkamena asked. I noticed a new batch of cupcakes. They were grey and yellow with a plastic ring with bubbles on it.

"I just need some tools to deal with some problems," before she could ask how many I needed, her ears perked.

"Do you hear that?" She asked. I had a raised brow when I heard something too.

"Is that the music that goes with the chicken dance?" I asked. Pinkamena nodded. We noticed it was getting louder and louder. We both ducked for cover when a chariot crashes through the window.

"SON OF A BITCH!" Cried a voice.

"Next time Sam, I'm driving," said another.

Ten minutes ago

I panicked, seeing that no one was driving the chariot. It had a leash, which seem to lead to nothing. Out of panic I grabbed the leashes, steering the chariot. I notice that this was like a parachute, if you pull the left rope, you go left. If you pull the right rope, you go right. If you pull on both rope... My eyes widened, seeing that I had spaced out, and kept pulling the leash. We were doing loops and loops. I relaxed the leashes, and the chariot started going down. I pulled it a little. The chariot started going up a small bit. I looked behind me to see the other guys are fine. Two out of five threw up outside. The other three were just dizzy. I looked at the leash and saw that there were buttons. I felt urges. The urges to push buttons. I pushed one, and I heard music. It was Mozart's ninth I think. I changed it a couple of times until I found one that I even relaxed to. It was the chicken dance song. I tilted my head left and right in the beat of the song.

"Sam, please change it!" Yelled Tom. I ignored him. I pushed another button. An umbrella went up. I pushed it again, which made the umbrella retract. There were two more buttons left. I pushed the blue one, and we went fast as a bullet. I pushed it again, making us slow down. The last one was red. I have seen so many movies to know not to push the red button. I think again since it could be like a coffee thing or whatever. I pushed it. At first I thought nothing was going on when I noticed the clouds were moving up. I looked out the side to see the ground rushing to meet us. I screamed and pushed the button frantically. The chariot started moving up a little. The music started playing again. I pulled the leashes as tight as I could. The chariot was an inch above ground when I pulled up fast enough. I saw a building in the distance and panicked. I was little too late to slow down when we crashed through a window.

"SON OF A BITCH!" I yelled scared. Jacob groans.

"Next time Sam, I'm driving," said Max.

"What the fuck was that?" A feminine voice yelled. I got up. I looked around. This looked like Sugarcube Corner. "What the fuck is that!" Yelled the same voice.

"Sorry," I said. I looked to see Pinkie and Rainbow. I noticed that they were not the Pinkie and Rainbow I knew. Pinkie's hair was straight. Rainbow has a dark-ish shade of blue for her coat. Pinkie looked like she was pissed.

"Do you know how many fucking times I've replaced this Celestiadamn window!?" She yelled. Max got up, swerving.

"Sam, is that Pinkie?" He asked, pointing at the pissed off pony who I feel like is going to murder me. Pinkie stopped for a second, bewildered. She looked at Max.

"How do you know me?" She asked.

"Well, I'm your-," I nudged him.

"This is a different world Max, they aren't the Pinkie and Rainbow we know," I whispered. He nodded.

"Just a hunch," he answered Pinkie.

"... Alright, and don't call me Pinkie, my name's Pinkamena," she said. He nods. I looked at Rainbow, or at least a different version of her. We stared for a minute before Pinkamena coughed.

"Um, my window?" She asks. I looked at the damage. We were so close to destroying a few tables.

"Right, um," I said rubbing the back of my neck. Max takes action.

"I can work for the money," he said. She stares at him, but nods.

"Fine I guess, but once you're done, you have to get out," she said. Max nods looking down. Rainbow looks at me.

"So, who and what are you?" She asks, looking me up and down.

"I'm Sam, and I am a human," I said. She raises an eyebrow. "Just think of me as a hairless ape," I said. She nods.

"Well, who're your buddies over there?" She asks. I look over and gasped because I forgot all about my friends and Tom's situation. I helped everyone, and turn to the two ponies.

"This is Jacob," I point to my best friend. "Henry," I point to my stylish friend. "Joe," I pointed to the well known red-head. "Last, and to me, least, Tom," I said, pointing to the one that I don't get along with too well. In truth, we're not enemies, we just don't see eye to eye a lot. Rainbow stifled a laugh as I introduced Tom. "So what's your name?" I asked, keeping up the, I-don't-know-who-you-are-act.

"My name's Rainbow Dash," she says, a little too prideful. I don't see much of a difference in this Rainbow Dash. I noticed something different though. Her eyes weren't magenta, they were slightly darker to the point that it looks like blood. I put it off to the side, though it did seem weird.

"Say, do you know any places I could stay in?" I asked. She nods.

"Yeah, there's an old house not too far, nobody's been living in there for years," she said. I followed her out. She led me to a house that was pleasant. It was like a lot of the others. Rainbow opened the door, leading me into a room that looked like it went through hell.

"Thanks Rainbow Dash, you can go now," I said, noticing that she's fidgeting with the door. She nods and flies off as I looked at my living room dump.
