//-------------------------------------------------------// Six Locks -by Y-T-Mellon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Assignment... //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Assignment... Prologue: The Assignment I sighed, alone in this dark world. I have been alone for God knows how long. Death had told me he was going to speed time up, but I was going to be left behind. I had agreed. I don't know if I'll ever see anyone ever again. I have started hearing voices though. He told me his name was William. He said that he could help me with my fear. My greatest fear. Isolation. I started talking with him after a couple of days hearing him. I think I've gone insane. I do have to admit though. He was nice. I remember our conversation like it's yesterday... "Sam, do you fear this? This, isolation? Being alone?" He asked. I finally nodded. "Yes," I said. I hated this, I did not like being alone. He was always saying that my friends, family, and everyone else, betrayed me. He scared me. Soon, he became irrational, and wanted me to try to commit suicide. I would have to remind him that I am already dead. Soon, he stopped talking. Sometimes, I don't even know if I make sense any more. I don't know if up is down or if left is right. I don't even know if I am telling this right, or if I'm making any sense. I started crying a few days later, when a light showed up. I looked up to see Death. I felt enraged. I got up and started walking to him. "Sam, I'm sorry for leaving you alone for some time, but it is time to give you your quest," he said. He saw my rage. "Are you okay?" He asks with concern. He left you alone Sam, for fun, to see if you've gone insane, said the voice. I put it into the back of my mind for now. I didn't want to start a fight and be left alone again. "Yes, yes I'm fine," I said. He nods. "Okay, let me get everyone, I bet they miss you after all this time," he said. I nod. He waved his hand around, and five humans appeared. One man had black glasses, hair, and pale skin, Tom. One person was tan, with blonde hair, and blue eyes, Jacob. Another man was tan as well, but had red hair and freckles, Joe. One man, who had lime green eyes and orange, shaggy hair, which was actually straighter than mine, Max. Finally, one man had dark skin, and eyes, he had hair that made him look like a football superstar or something, Henry. I didn't smile seeing them. I wanted to, but I just couldn't. They gasped seeing me. "Holy crap it's Sam!" Henry said. I smirked. "No shit," I said, a little angrily. They looked at me concerned. "Sam are you okay?" Jacob asked. I asked everyone to take a few steps closer. As soon as they were in arms reach, I hugged them as tight as I could. "Sam! I can't breathe!" Jacob said as I crushed him with my bear hug. I cried. I didn't cry because I was scared from being alone, I didn't cry because of the voice, which stopped when Death appeared again. I cried out of joy to see my friends again. I was rude when they said holy crap was because at first I was angry because it took them a long time to get here. I then figured I couldn't blame them and I wanted a hug. I guess I'm just very weird that way. Soon I let go of them from my death-hug. "I missed you guys so much!" I yelled. Everyone but Tom patted me on the back, kind of awkwardly. "I didn't miss Tom, but I missed you guys!" I added. They all laughed, even Tom surprisingly. After we all caught up, we payed attention to Death. It turns out, Twilight had apologized to Rainbow long after I died. Tom and Twilight actually fell in love as well! My son Fretus has grown up a little, by seven years. It took seven years for all of them to die. I honestly felt sorry for them as that they all just had something perfect. A perfect life. As I turned my attention to Death, I noticed I was smiling for the first time. Celestia walked up and I nodded in politeness. "Hello, I am Celestia as you may know, well I want to offer you all something," she said. We tilted our head. "I want you all to go into a world where everything is corrupted. I want you all to change six ponies, who were the greatest ponies, then turned into horrible monsters, to change them back to who they were, and in return," she looked at all six of us to see if we're all paying attention. "You will be back from where you died," she finished. We all had wide eyes. "I would not normally be asking this, but my faithful student Twilight has asked me to try to return all you humans back to being alive again, no matter what," she said. "The reason I can't just do it is because Death said that if we could make a world back to what it originally was, we could be granted a wish," she added. We all cheered. We then hushed, catching up on what she actually said. "How do we change these ponies back?" I asked. Celestia smiled. "Just be you," she said. "Now, I shall teleport all of you to a chariot in this dimension. Go to Ponyville and please change the six ponies," she said. Before I could ask another question, we are standing on a chariot. It looked like no one was driving. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Differences //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Differences Chapter 1: Differences I sighed, sitting in my office. I run a factory that kills fillies and colts, and turns them into rainbows. At first I didn't like it, but ever since I've killed the one stopping me from doing it, shouldn't I be happy? I groaned hearing the alarms. Another filly has escaped the cell again. I looked on a map to see that she's running towards the exit. I took a secret passage, behind my office chair and galloped to the exit. I tackled a filly with white fur and a blue mane. "What do you think you're trying to do huh?" I asked roughly, grabbing her. "Please don't make me go back ple-" was all she could say before a colt stole her away from me, and kept galloping. It took me a minute, but I realized what happened and I grabbed a knife I was issued with ever since the 'Chicken Incident'. It was in case some filly or colt was way ahead of me. I grabbed it, and threw it. It hit the colt's wing, making him go down with a crash. I started feeling the usual sensation of a serial killer, and kicked the filly into the wall. I turned to the colt and was punched squarely on the muzzle. It didn't hurt too much, but I stumbled back a bit. He started to throw another punch, but I grabbed his hoof and slung him into the wall. Two pegasi helped me get them to the machine. I went to my office, and sighed. This was the fifth time this week. I didn't care if they escaped the cell, but my employees need better weapons. I didn't like to do this, but I need to do something. I flew to the ground, taking a few ten bits. I didn't like visiting Pinkie in a bad mood, which I knew about since there were thunder clouds over Sugarcube Corner. I opened the door, hearing the same annoying ring. The pink straight-maned serial killer sighed seeing me. "What do you want Rainbow?" Pinkamena asked. I noticed a new batch of cupcakes. They were grey and yellow with a plastic ring with bubbles on it. "I just need some tools to deal with some problems," before she could ask how many I needed, her ears perked. "Do you hear that?" She asked. I had a raised brow when I heard something too. "Is that the music that goes with the chicken dance?" I asked. Pinkamena nodded. We noticed it was getting louder and louder. We both ducked for cover when a chariot crashes through the window. "SON OF A BITCH!" Cried a voice. "Next time Sam, I'm driving," said another. Ten minutes ago I panicked, seeing that no one was driving the chariot. It had a leash, which seem to lead to nothing. Out of panic I grabbed the leashes, steering the chariot. I notice that this was like a parachute, if you pull the left rope, you go left. If you pull the right rope, you go right. If you pull on both rope... My eyes widened, seeing that I had spaced out, and kept pulling the leash. We were doing loops and loops. I relaxed the leashes, and the chariot started going down. I pulled it a little. The chariot started going up a small bit. I looked behind me to see the other guys are fine. Two out of five threw up outside. The other three were just dizzy. I looked at the leash and saw that there were buttons. I felt urges. The urges to push buttons. I pushed one, and I heard music. It was Mozart's ninth I think. I changed it a couple of times until I found one that I even relaxed to. It was the chicken dance song. I tilted my head left and right in the beat of the song. "Sam, please change it!" Yelled Tom. I ignored him. I pushed another button. An umbrella went up. I pushed it again, which made the umbrella retract. There were two more buttons left. I pushed the blue one, and we went fast as a bullet. I pushed it again, making us slow down. The last one was red. I have seen so many movies to know not to push the red button. I think again since it could be like a coffee thing or whatever. I pushed it. At first I thought nothing was going on when I noticed the clouds were moving up. I looked out the side to see the ground rushing to meet us. I screamed and pushed the button frantically. The chariot started moving up a little. The music started playing again. I pulled the leashes as tight as I could. The chariot was an inch above ground when I pulled up fast enough. I saw a building in the distance and panicked. I was little too late to slow down when we crashed through a window. "SON OF A BITCH!" I yelled scared. Jacob groans. "Next time Sam, I'm driving," said Max. "What the fuck was that?" A feminine voice yelled. I got up. I looked around. This looked like Sugarcube Corner. "What the fuck is that!" Yelled the same voice. "Sorry," I said. I looked to see Pinkie and Rainbow. I noticed that they were not the Pinkie and Rainbow I knew. Pinkie's hair was straight. Rainbow has a dark-ish shade of blue for her coat. Pinkie looked like she was pissed. "Do you know how many fucking times I've replaced this Celestiadamn window!?" She yelled. Max got up, swerving. "Sam, is that Pinkie?" He asked, pointing at the pissed off pony who I feel like is going to murder me. Pinkie stopped for a second, bewildered. She looked at Max. "How do you know me?" She asked. "Well, I'm your-," I nudged him. "This is a different world Max, they aren't the Pinkie and Rainbow we know," I whispered. He nodded. "Just a hunch," he answered Pinkie. "... Alright, and don't call me Pinkie, my name's Pinkamena," she said. He nods. I looked at Rainbow, or at least a different version of her. We stared for a minute before Pinkamena coughed. "Um, my window?" She asks. I looked at the damage. We were so close to destroying a few tables. "Right, um," I said rubbing the back of my neck. Max takes action. "I can work for the money," he said. She stares at him, but nods. "Fine I guess, but once you're done, you have to get out," she said. Max nods looking down. Rainbow looks at me. "So, who and what are you?" She asks, looking me up and down. "I'm Sam, and I am a human," I said. She raises an eyebrow. "Just think of me as a hairless ape," I said. She nods. "Well, who're your buddies over there?" She asks. I look over and gasped because I forgot all about my friends and Tom's situation. I helped everyone, and turn to the two ponies. "This is Jacob," I point to my best friend. "Henry," I point to my stylish friend. "Joe," I pointed to the well known red-head. "Last, and to me, least, Tom," I said, pointing to the one that I don't get along with too well. In truth, we're not enemies, we just don't see eye to eye a lot. Rainbow stifled a laugh as I introduced Tom. "So what's your name?" I asked, keeping up the, I-don't-know-who-you-are-act. "My name's Rainbow Dash," she says, a little too prideful. I don't see much of a difference in this Rainbow Dash. I noticed something different though. Her eyes weren't magenta, they were slightly darker to the point that it looks like blood. I put it off to the side, though it did seem weird. "Say, do you know any places I could stay in?" I asked. She nods. "Yeah, there's an old house not too far, nobody's been living in there for years," she said. I followed her out. She led me to a house that was pleasant. It was like a lot of the others. Rainbow opened the door, leading me into a room that looked like it went through hell. "Thanks Rainbow Dash, you can go now," I said, noticing that she's fidgeting with the door. She nods and flies off as I looked at my living room dump. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: A Weird Friend //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: A Weird Friend Chapter 2: A Weird Friend I am not sure if I like this world. So far it seems drab, and it also makes me feel terrible. I once heard a dog bark, but before I could see where it was I heard something snap it's neck. I was scared the whole night. I was getting something to eat when I heard clanging in the bed room. I got out a trusty frying pan and slowly leaned on the door. "Ugh, this guy better be worth it, I think I just stepped in drool, ew," said a feminine voice. I swung open the door and tried to bash the pan on my intruders head. An orange filly side stepped just enough for me to miss. I dropped the pan, and lunged at my orange intruder. She yelped and dove for cover, but I got her. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!!" She cried. I tilted my head. "What? Hurt you? Why would I hurt you?" I asked. I set her on my bed and got a good look at her. She had night vision goggles, a suit that would be in mission impossible along with her gear, and she had purple hair. "Well, I broke into your house and killed your dog, which in my defense looked like it had rabies," said the spy-like intruder. "I don't have a dog, so you saved my life, thanks miss," I trailed off, leaning forward. "Scootaloo at your service!" Said Scootaloo, saluting. I saluted back chuckling. "Now, what were you doing in my house?" I asked. She went wide eyed, apparently not expecting me to ask that question. "Stalking," she said, as her ears drooped. I sighed. "Why?" I asked. "It's top secret!" She said defensively. "Alright, now get out," I said. I didn't say it nicely, but I wasn't hostile either. "But I need to know more about you!" Scootaloo says. "Why?" I asked crossing my arms. "It's top secret," she said deadpanned. "You will tell me," I said. "No," she said. I had an idea and decided to test how stupid she is. "Yes." "No." "Yes." "No." "You will tell me now!" "No I won't!" "Yes you will!" "No I won't!" "No you don't!" "Yes I will dang it!" "Then tell me right now!" "I certainly will!!!" She yelled as I was smiling widely. She looked at me quizzically. She realized what she did and groaned out of frustration. "Note to self, target is able to outsmart me," she said as I tried my best to stifle a laugh. "Okay, tell me then," I said pushing it. She gave me a low growl and I burst out laughing. "I'm just joking Scootaloo," I said. She sighed. "Yeah yeah whatever," she said. I chuckled, seeing that she is not too smart. "Alright, if it means that much, my name is Sam," I said, smiling. She looks around. "I um, can't help but notice your place is..." She trailed off. "Dreadful? Yeah it is," I said rubbing the back of my head. She looked at a my hands. "What are those?" She asked pointing at them. "These are my hands, and the little things are fingers," I said. She nodded. Soon, we had a nice small snack. By small snack, I mean strawberry pop tarts that were kind of fresh in a cabinet. She sat in front of me. "So, where do you live?" I asked. She froze. "Um, nowhere really," she said rubbing the back of her neck. "Why?" I asked. "My parents were usually too busy," she said. I frowned. I reached over and hugged her. "I'm sorry," I said out of pure sympathy. She was kind of shocked at first, but she soon hugged back. "Do you have a family?" She asked as soon as I break the hug. "Well, yes but my family was taken away," I said frowning. She looked down at her pop tart. "I'm sorry," she said. I shrugged sadly. "It's okay, it was years ago when that happened," I said. I looked up thinking of a question. "Do you have a home?" I asked. "Does an alley count?" She asked. I shook my head. "Then no, not really," she said. I sighed and hugged her even more. "Why do you keep hugging me?" She asked. "Well, where I was from, hugs make people, and ponies, feel better," I said. She smiled. "Say, I have a couple of extra rooms, do you want to live here?" I asked looking at her. She smiled. "That sounds great, but I have to ask my boss first," she said. She realized what she said and covered her mouth. "I didn't mean to say that," she said. I nodded chuckling. "That's okay, I can keep secrets, and you don't want me to ask about it do you?" I ask. She shakes her head. "That's another thing I'm curious about," I say. She shruggs smiling. Soon she had to go and I waved bye. I return to my comfy bed and started sleeping. I woke up the next morning. I yawned and started trying to clean my house. There was dust everywhere. I found a web in the bathroom, cockroaches in the kitchen, and vomit in the living room. The only thing I kept was a raccoon in the attic. It didn't have rabies, but I keep a pistol beside my bed just in case. The raccoon was nice though. I soon needed to get some furniture for the living room, since it's missing a couch. I needed a job as well. I went out to have a little walk and get exercise. I soon found a board that showed wanted ads for jobs. I found an ad for a mechanic for the weather factory. I shrugged, thinking why not. O grabbed it and went on my way. When I got to the weather factory, I think I felt myself shrink. It was huge. The from doors for it was a dark wood. I knocked on it. A pegasus with shades opens the door. I waved. "What do you want?" He asked. "I'm here for a job," I said. The pegasus raised an eyebrow. "Why?" He asked. "So that I can gain some money," I said. He looks me up and down, but lets me in. I was led to a room with metal doors. "Wait in here," he said. I stepped in and waited for a few minutes. Rainbow enters the room, looking at a clipboard. "Name?" She asks, not looking up. "Sam," I said simply. She looks up wide eyed. "Sam? Why are you here?" She asks. I shrugged, sheepishly smiling. "I needed some money for my house," I said. She nods, but had a concerned look. "Alright, so what is your profession?" She asks looking back down at her clipboard. "Engineering," I said. She smiles. "Great, now just follow me," she said. I nod and followed her towards a blue room, which has a couple broken machines. There was a red spot on one wall. I tilted my head at it. "Why is there a red spot on the wall?" I asked. She looks up, as if she saw a ghost. "That's from one pony that had failed the um, test," she said rubbing the back of her neck. "He had some food with him, including some ketchup," she added. I nodded understanding. "Now, just fix these machines and we'll see if you qualify," she said. She left and I went to work on it. After a long twenty minutes, Rainbow walks in and sees my success. "Great job, I think we have a place for you," she said. I smiled, happy for getting a job. She leads me to a room not too far from the Rainbow Room. The room I was in was a lot like the room in the last world I was in before this one. "Thanks for letting me have a job," I said smiling. She nods before she left for her office. I was wondering if this room was any different aside from the map than the other one. I rummaged through the desk and saw a picture. It was the Main Six, except they were, sort of sadder or sadistic looking. Applejack had a frown, Fluttershy had a butcher knife, Twilight had a hat fit for a general, Rarity's hair was messed up, Pinkie had a straight mane and a scalpel in her mouth, and Rainbow had a lab coat on while having shrunken pupils while smiling. It creeps me out, but I felt like I'll need it so I put it in my pocket. A light knock was heard and I opened it to see Rainbow with a small test tube and a needle. I had a worried face about the tools. "I'm not going to do anything bad, I just need a blood sample," she said. I didn't ask, thinking it may be so that she'll know if I am sick or not. Once she had enough blood, she thanks me and left my office. I sighed out of boredom after a while. Soon though, a beep was heard for the Rainbow Room. I left quickly and walked to the rainbow machine, which scared me a little. I looked around for any problems when I notice something stuck in a gear. I got a closer look to see a watch, it was crushed and almost demolished. I took it out and saved myself before it crushed my fingers. I threw it away soon, seeing that it doesn't seem like any use. On the way back, I accidentally bumped into sir shades-a-lot. He looked at me and gruffed. "Sorry," I said. He huffed and went on his way. I followed him though, curious. "Why are you following me?" He asks, not looking my way. "I'm curious," I said simply. I got a better look at him, seeing that he wore a turtle neck shirt, had a red coat, brown mane, and a shield for a cutie mark. I'm guessing he's something like a guard. "Well, my name is Shieldidge," he said, still not looking my way. I soon realized he was getting angrier the minutes I walk beside him. "Well, um, got to go," I said. I soon got back to my office, in time to see that time was merciful on me and flew by fast. I got up my stuff and walked towards the exit. Unlike the other world, this world's weather factory has a bridge that goes to the ground. I was walking along when I realized I was starving. I walked to Sugarcube Corner and I was greeted by Pinkamena, who seemed to be in a better mood today. She was putting up a batch of cupcakes, which were a light green along with white. A mini lyre was place upon every cupcake. Max walk to the counter and greets me warmly. "Hey Sam, how're you doing?" He asks. "I'm good, I got a job!" I said smiling. "Really? Where?" He asks. "The weather factory," I said. Pinkamena grins widely, creeping me out. She writes something down and Jacob walks in. "Evening Sam, how's your day been?" He asks. "It's been okay, I got a job at the factory," I said smiling. He nods. He gives me a few bits to get something to eat, knowing I forgot I don't have any money. I get an original, old fashion doughnut. It was glorious in my mouth. I soon waved bye and went home. When I opened my front door, I was greeted by an orange filly, jumping at me, embracing me in a hug. I smiled in the hug, happy to have Scootaloo greet me. "Hey Sam! So I asked for permission to live here and I got a yes!" She said excitedly. I whooped. We soon had a chat, telling each other about how our day was. Scootaloo soon got sleepy, since it's about 10:00 at night. I let her have one half of the bed while I had the other. It took us a while, but we had good sleeping positions. I soon fell asleep, having a wonderful dream. Author's Note Please give credit to the owner of Stalkerloo (http://askstalkerloo.tumblr.com) please! You may also noticed, I changed the main character's name, the reason why is because the original name Ben, was something a friend of mine kept bugging me about. He did not want this name used on my story, so I changed it to Sam. If you look at SBH I did the same thing. It took me a couple of days to do it so, please don't bug me about it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: A Difference //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: A Difference Chapter 3: A Difference I groaned as I got out of bed this early morning. The sun is rising at a slow pace as I shielded my eyes from it's terror. I stopped in my tracks when I noticed something weird. The sun is a little redder than the usual burning yellow. I also noticed that Scootaloo was missing. This better not be a dream inception. I looked around my room. I almost screamed. It was almost in pieces. The wooden floor is grey, the ceiling badly damaged, the walls have grey roses, scratched paint, and a couple of holes. "Morning Sam! Why do you look like you saw a ghost?" Scootaloo asks, walking in with a half torn chefs hat on. "This place is a wreck!" I yelled. She looks around. "Um, Sam, it was like this yesterday, you didn't seem to mind last time I checked," she said. I started searching through my memories, and I was. Indeed it was always like this, how didn't I notice this? I groaned. Maybe I just noticed because I am too tired to think. Yeah, yeah that's it. I looked through the window, which was located beside my bed, and saw Ponyville. At least, a recolor. The streets were gravel, the street lights were either not working or broken, and the grass was a sickly color of brown. I rubbed my eyes quickly, thinking I was just seeing things. The image of the recolored town was still there. "When was the town um, painted?" I asked. Scootaloo comes over. "Where?" She asks. I pointed everywhere. "Sam, you do realize this is exactly how it looked when you got here right?" She asks. I shook my head. "This is some inception crap," I said, started getting scared. I suddenly realized, the town did always looked like that. I groaned. "Sam, are you okay? You seem sick," she said. I took a look at myself. Yep, this is inception. My skin turned from it's usual olive to a pale olive. I scratched my head, weirder out about what the hell's going on. "Scootaloo, was I like this when you last saw me?" I asked. She shook her head. "No, you were kind of, livelier, you know, more colorful," she said. I nodded. "Alright, I'll be right back okay?" She nods and I run off to find Jacob. I walk, noticing that there are a few ponies. One pony, who was a pale green, and dark red mane, was digging through a filthy trash can, picking up a bloody knife and glaring at me. I hurried down the hard, crunching path. The brown grass was starting to weird me out even more. I looked up to see a dark blue pony, passed out in an alley between two, grey buildings. I then notice that he wasn't passed out, seeing a tip of a knife poking out. I hurried, and found Jacob, looking at the ground, kicking a can while walking to a Quills and Sofas. I run over to him. "Dude, everything's different!" I say. He looks at me, his eyes looking like he is choosing between suicide by knife or toxic substances. "Sam, the town was always like this, remember?" He says, giving me a questioning look. "I just noticed though! This is some inception shit right here!" I say quietly. "Oh right, you usually don't notice things," he said, grumpily and depressingly. I tilted my head. "What do you mean?" I ask. He sighs, rolling his eyes. "Well, you didn't notice that while you were marrying that mare, the music stopped, and when we first came to Equestria, you didn't notice that some of us had bruises," he said. I shook my head. "You guys didn't have bruises, if you had bruises, I would've noticed," I said. He shook his head, giving me a disgusted look. "Sure, same thing when it comes to your hair," he said looking up. I gave him a questioned look. "What?" I asked. He got out a pocket knife, cut a piece of my hair off, and held it in front of me. It was a dark, dark brown. It was also straighter, which was rare when it comes to my hair, oh no it rhymes! I started feeling bad. I suddenly realized that I am not in a world I thought I was in. I looked down. When I did so, I saw his bloody looking hands. I started backing up slowly. "J-Jacob?" I stuttered, pointing to his hands, all ten fingers have at least two cuts. His wrists on the other hand were bruised. "Don't freak out, it was only Fluttershy," he said. "She must have been Satan!" I yelled. He gave me a death glare. "Well, like you said, she's... Different," he said, looking off to the side, trying to get his attention on something else. How did I know that? I put this info in the back of my mind and looked at him concerned. "Describe her," I said. He looks at me, looking like he saw a nightmare. He hung his head and muttered. "She's red, her hair's a redder color, and when she talked, it was like listening to a monster," he muttered. I nodded, trying to understand. "She just seemed, evil," he said. I sighed, seeing that this is going to be hard to try and make them all back to normal. Jacob continues kicking at a can. Now that I think about it, he usually recycles, so why is he kicking a can? I saw his fists clench and I ran terrified. I ran over to Sugarcube Corner. I barged through the front door in time to see Max carry a mint green unicorn to the backroom. I stood frozen. Did Max just knock someone out and looked like he was gonna kill her!? Pinkamena walked out with a knife, saw me, and threw it. I ducked just in time and ran out. What the hell is going on in this town? How did I not notice the crap that's going on!? When I was five feet in from of my house door, I faded into blackness. Meanwhile I watched as Sam fell to the floor, unconscious. I flew as fast as I can while Pinkamena was carrying him. In a flash, I grabbed him, knocked Pink down, and flew off. I'm guessing Sam saw something from Sugarcube Corner. Why am I saving him though? It's not like he's special, save for the fact that he's a human. Maybe I'll turn him into rainbows, wait, no his blood comes out as colors from black to grey to white. What will I do with him? I looked around. Pinkamena was in hot pursuit. I jetted to my house, flew straight in, and locked the door. I threw Sam onto a couch, carefully. Well, by carefully I mean threw him onto the couch and let him fall down. My house is made of clouds so I'm not worried. I walked to my kitchen, panting from flying so fast. I hadn't flown that fast since I became a manager. I miss the old days, which I can't remember too much about. I just remembered that I was happy... A sound made me escape from my thoughts. The sound came from Sam as he got off the floor and laid on the couch. I walked over to him. "Hey Sam, are you okay?" I asked. He didn't answer. He just kept staring into the ceiling. "Um, Sam?" I ask. He just looks at me. I realized that his skin is different, not the usual olive touch. Instead, it's pale. His eyes were grey, his hair was kind of turning black, and his attitude was different. Not in a bad way, but he seems depressed. "Yeah I'm fine," he said bluntly. He turned to face away from me. "All.right, I'm going to work, don't leave before I come back," I said. He didn't answer me, instead he just lays there, facing the wall, and doing nothing. I left Sam to his own, and went to work. Meanwhile... I laid on Rainbow's cloud-made-couch. It's softness was very unique to me, but I didn't care. I only stared at the white, fluffy walls, thinking. Why are you here you freak? Asked a memory from a long time ago. You think I'll stay? This is a war Sam! I must fight for my country! Yelled an angry Corry, in my memory. Sam, if you keep trying to protect us, you're going to kill us. Said an annoyed sister, who was pointing out the door in my first house. Well, I guess it's their house now. Sam, I can't help but wonder why the hell you think we need you! Said Tom. I wonder why as well. This is your fault... Said my subconscious. I couldn't agree more. I wonder, what would have happened if I never existed. Guess I'll never find out. I stayed still on the couch, not moving. I just stared into the wall, trying to figure out why people and ponies gave a damn. Why they gave a damn about me. I realized, that I'm not that important. I was a coward. Weak... I'm not strong, I always wind up letting someone down. Idiot... I was usually wrong every time I try to figure out someone. Fragile... I always needed help from someone, I'm usually never stand up on my own. Worthless... I'm not worth caring about. It hit me, it finally hit me. I'm not worth really caring about. I got off the couch, and went out the front door. I looked down. I'm guessing maybe ten to twelve feet. I braced myself as I stepped off, falling to the ground. The ground came up to meet me, and I saw blackness. I woke up, seeing the grey sky and reddish sun. I got up, wincing at the pain which was enormous in my ankle. I limped into the town, not caring about a green pony glaring, a grey pony dead, or even paid any mind to Jacob, who was sobbing on the gravel. I turned my head to him, seeing his pain. He looked up at me, sorrow, grief, and misery in his eyes. "Help me!" He said. I shook my head. "I don't care," I said. I just turned back to my house, ignoring Jacob cursing me, ignoring his misery, ignoring my friend. Except, he's not my friend any more. I want no part of this world. I opened my door, to see a sticky note on my room door. Dear Sam, I'm sorry, but I need to go away, Rainbow Dash told me it wasn't safe anymore. I hope you understand. Yours, Scootaloo. I just stared, the gears in my head not turning. I sighed, and threw the note into the trash can in my room. I took up some wood that was sitting in my living room and nailed it to the window. I sat in a corner, and started singing a tune. (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9b1gSztTH2A) I also started going over my life. First, a boy, a boy who was weirder than anyone else. He sat alone at lunch, talking to himself. In those words, he was telling himself jokes. He was known as a comedian in his school, but he was not too social. He barely had any friends. Soon, after he graduated, he went to the military. He stayed there for a year, but his brother stayed. After a couple of months, his brother's leg was blown off. He was sent home, and he couldn't be payed. The boy worked. He worked overtime. Then, his sister worked. She got paid more, and she didn't even worked overtime. His family, told him to go away. He did, he got a home, and while getting interviewed for a job, he made five friends. They were all different. One wasn't liked much. The now man, and the friend never got along too well. They were all hired. They were sent on a job, and turned out to be illegal. They went to court. They were being test subject. They all landed into a new world. The man fell in love with a pegasus. The pegasus loved him as well. That part, confused me. Why is the question. Why did she fall in love with me? I stopped singing, and leaned my head against the wall. Why do I feel miserable? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Problems //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Problems Chapter 4: Problems I signed as I sat at the meeting table. My dining room was dark, fear and dread as wood. Being Death is hard, but tea time always calms me down. The chandelier above me is of black crystalline structures. The doors to this room swung open with a trickster entering the room. Chrysalis was not looking too happy. "Ugh, my plan is falling apart!" She screamed. "And what do you expect me to do about it?" I asked, sipping my tea calmly. "Well, the humans are already corrupted!" She yelled. "Wasn't that the idea in the first place?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "No, they were supposed to become attached to those freaking ponies first!" She yelled. I took a sip of my tea and set it down. "Well, we can't kill them again, it was a nightmare to try and make the first deaths convincing enough," I said. Chrysalis groaned. "Ugh, we'll just have to fix this ourselves, obviously this won't fix itself. Is there good news about the other five?" She asks. "Jacob's becoming suicidal, Tom is a drunk, Henry and Max are serial killers, and Joe is lost with this equinox version of Applejack. Remind me again why I have to watch five of them while you watch one?" I said, taking a calm sip of my tea. "Well, Sam is ridiculously hard to control. It's like he's invisible all of a sudden, and turns up being happy. Now no more questions, Equestria will rue the day they defeated me," Chrysalis continued. She started pacing. "Now, the question is, how are we going to fix the Human Six?" She asked. I took a sip of my tea. She prefers to come up with ideas without my help so I laid back. She grew a wicked smile, chuckling evilly. "Death? It's time to make some chaos," she said. I saw insanity in her eyes and I sighed. I knew how she's going to die, and I want it to be soon at this rate. She trotted off, leaving me with my tea. "If only you knew," I said as I took a sip. "Queen Chrysalis, if you mind, Sam is about to be helped. He's noticing everything now and he is taking notice of his history. Give him a little time. He'll do it properly and then screw up, trust me." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: Unexpected Help //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: Unexpected Help Chapter 5: Unexpected Help I stood behind my front door, my hand on the handle and my heart beating rapidly. I don't know what to do. I don't know on whether or not I should open this door, step outside and go to work, which would make it easy for Pinkamena to grab and kill me. Or, I could stay inside, slowly starve to death, and wait for myself to die. I thought about it for a moment. I decided not to choose the latter. I slowly opened the door, peeking out. I didn't see the pink killer anywhere. I ran out, and skipped breakfast. I pulled out a charm that I used to get up to the clouds. This charm allowed me to teleport short distances. I didn't want to discuss this here, but I forgot about it earlier. I walk through the front doors of the factory, jumpy. I walked down the hall, which was dark and eerie. No one came up to greet me as I stepped into my office. I looked at the map, and see no blaring dots. I sat down, and looked around. I noticed a drawer that I don't think I've opened. I opened it and found a file for only engineers to look at. It said the words, 'Property of Engineers Only'. "What do I have here?" I asked myself. I opened the file to see a documentary report, a tape, and an envelope. I stuck the tape in my pocket and looked at the documentary. Entry #1, something is not right with this factory, they won't tell me anything. I fix their machines, but I never know what they're for. I didn't question at the time, but I will question them later on. Entry #2 Something happened, but they won't tell me. I found blood in their rainbow making machine, and they said it was an "accident." I tried to ask them what the hell was going on, but they still wouldn't answer me. Entry #3 I am terrified now, this factory has a history I am unaware of. I could hear voices, voices of someone I thought that could be young I found this tape on my table. Whoever reads this when I am gone, please do not let the manager see it. She threatened me so that I don't know anything about this factory. Entry # 4 I raised an eyebrow in confusion to see that it was marked off, along with the rest of it. I grew more suspicious of this factory and looked at the envelope. I opened it and found a card. I opened it to read a note. Dear [redacted], I trust that my coworker, [redacted], will deliver this message. If it does not get to you, I, Lightning Arc, hope you will miss me. I honestly wish I could say goodbye. If everything is all right, I will see you later. Love, Lightning Arc. I stared at the envelope. What is going on in this factory? I leaned back on my chair, taking in every strange and curious thing that's been going on. I hid the envelope and put everything back. I look at the map to see everything is fine. I hear a knock at the door, a little harder than necessary. I look over to see Rainbow Dash, mane looking bizarre and slightly fried. "What the hell happened to you?" I asked wide eyed. "two words, electricity room, they tried to buzz you, but they got a nice shock out of it. I thought they tried to lie and tried it myself. It didn't go well as you can see," she said, rubbing two hooves around her temple. I sighed. "Why don't you trust you're co-workers?" I asked, a little confused. She stares at me like I am the worst idiot ever. "You can't trust just anyone in this world Sam, not anymore at least," Rainbow Dash replied. I stared at the ground, mulling over her words. I had an idea. "I guess so. Hey, can I ask you a favor?" I asked, looking at her. She nods. "Will you come and watch me work?" I asked, trying to put on a smile. Rainbow Dash looks up, questioningly. "Why do you need me to watch you?" She asks. "That way you don't think I'm suspicious or anything," I replied, smirking as I got up. Rainbow Dash tilts her head, but shrugs. "Alright, I'll watch," she replies. I smile, trying to hide my fear of realizing something. That I am in a death trap. We walked down the hall in an awkward silence. It was broken when Rainbow clears her throat. She didn't say anything for a few moments. To me, this silence was really weird. I mean, there are sounds of machines clanking and whirring, but there's no one talking. I remember on how everyone would be happily chatting in the last place. I started to miss more and more of my home. Home. I stopped walking. Where is home? It's not that mangled shaft, or that floating cloud house. I realized, right here, that my home, was Rainbow Dash. "Hey dude? Anypony home?" Rainbow asked, knocking on my head. I blinked into reality. "Um..." I trailed, looking at the Rainbow Dash before me. She had fixed her hair, gotten a lab coat from my office, and I felt that something was off. No, this is Rainbow Dash. Maybe not the one I know, but she is a certain, new, Rainbow Dash. "Yes, yes I am home," I said, smiling. She chuckled at my comment. "You seem to freeze up on me Sam, you need to look at reality more often," she said. We started walking again, heading for the lightning room. I look at the doorway to it. I saw the very same machine that the last place used. The very same machine that killed me. I kept staring at it. I shook my head. I need to face this thing. It may kill me once, but I am right here, and I am alive. I walked in behind Rainbow Dash. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6: Unexpected Help, Pt2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6: Unexpected Help, Pt2 Chapter 6: Unexpected Help Pt2 I hear beeping, a medical beeping. Did I get freaking electrocuted again!? I opened my eyes, slowly due to how bright it is. I look to my right and see a couple of withered roses, which surprisingly give me a certain warmth. I also see a medical monitor, measuring every heart beat. I look left to see a sleeping Rainbow Dash. I smiled. She seemed so cute. I then look at the monitor to see it going slower. I tilted my head. Then, without a warning, it suddenly stops. I look left to see Rainbow's eyes open wide, and screaming. I didn't hear anything strangely. Two doctors rush in and made Rainbow back up. "Um, guys I'm fine," I say, trying to clear things up. They appear to have ignored me and kept trying to make Rainbow back up, one of them trying to get one of those watcha-may-call-its, as I called it. "Doctor, I am fi-" I was cut off by the doctor going through me. I look at my ghost like body and jump out of bed. "What the hell!?" I yelled. I look at what the doctor is looking at and see a man. A man who's hair is black and singed, and seems to have been curly. His eyes were red and bloodshot, and full of tears. I screamed. After a couple of minutes, I wake up with a weird sound. I open my eyes to see a concerned Rainbow Dash looking down. "Yo Sam, are you okay?" Rainbow asked as I blinked a couple of times. "Yeah I'm okay, what happened?" I asked. I sit up, starting to separate machine sounds of the Rainbow machine to people chattering. "You got hit pretty hard on the head with a bar you ran into. All I know is that you thought you saw a ghost," Rainbow said as I got up. Memories came flooding back and I remember what happened. I just walked into the lightning room when the memory of a dead body appeared. At first I thought it was mine, then I ran like hell. As soon as I got some speed, I hit my head against a pipe. I started laughing, laughing so hard it honestly hurt my ribs. Rainbow stares at me in confusion. "Well, anyway, while you were knocked out I decided to call someone," Rainbow said. "Who?" I asked curiously. "A guy named Jacob, he's one of your friends right?" She asked. I paused to think, but nodded automatically. As if on cue, a door sounded in the distance. A gruff man with a T-shirt with a picture of a Apple icon walked up. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. His skin was slightly pale, but I recognized it as tan. His facial expression made me think he's seen some crap. He stands there, looking at his phone. "Give me a second, I need to-" he looks up to see me and drops his phone. "S-Sam?" He asks. I put on my darkest look to try and seem corrupted, like he was. "What's it to ya?" I asked. Jacob thinks for a moment. "What's the manliest thing on earth?" He asks. "What kind of manly?" I ask back. "Hairy wise," he said simply. "A wooly mammoth!" I said, looking serious. "Um, let me rephrase, the manliest thing that has a man-like form," he said. "Chewbacca," I replied. "Dang it Sam, why're you such a smartalic?" He asks smiling. I cracked a smile. "Jacob, buddy old pal I just am!" I said, hugging him as he hugged me. We both laughed while Rainbow looked confused. "Um, you guys fought, and didn't talk until now, and you're like best friends again, how is this possible?" Rainbow asks. "Well, friends fight, it doesn't mean we can't get over it," Jacob said. He looks at me and grows a concerned face since I was crying. I kept smiling, happy to have a friend here with me. "Jacob, of all the times I need a friend, you have the best timing because I also need a therapist," I said laughing a little. He shook his head, probably not understanding what I'm saying. We then chatted over about our work. I worked as an engineer while he was an assistant with Fluttershy. Or, at least her therapist. Turned out, Fluttershy went half insane, but thanks to Jacob's magic she turned... Well, quarter to half insane... Anyway, she is now Jacob's roommate because she's more comfortable with him around for some reason. I told him about what's been going on and he put a hand on my shoulder and said simply. "You are indeed, in need of a therapist," he said. I nodded smiling. I showed him around, while he kept looking in around nervously like something's up. I stopped at one doorway and he bumped into me, and almost jumped ten feet. I look at him to see what was wrong, but instead of asking the question, I was getting an answer. On the floor was dropped a recorder, a mini camera by the look of the device, and finally a dirk. I looked up at him. "What's with the knife?" I asked. He hung his head. "Now why did you have to find out early?" He ask, grabbing the dirk. I start backing up. "What do you mean?" I ask. He sighs. "I mean, this will be your last moment with me Sam, and it will be the be-" he was cut off by Rainbow kicking him from out of nowhere. I jumped and ran with fear. Why? Well, to save my skin, it's usable for another sixty to seventy years! I stopped. Why did I run? This was Rainbow that defended me right? I look back and sighed. I had training, so I am able defend myself. I walk back and greeted a black eyed Rainbow. "My God what happened?" She looked at me and shook her heard. "All I can tell you is, that Jacob is not nice, like, at all!" She said. We decided to tell more about it tomorrow since we were tired. One thing I realized in my sleepless night though. I had unexpected help. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7: Unexpected Help, Pt3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7: Unexpected Help, Pt3 Chapter 7: Unexpected Help, Pt3 I poured some water in Rainbow's cup as we all slightly chilled out. Me, Rainbow Dash, Jacob, and Shieldige. We had gotten Jacob to stop and have him in a secret room only the four of us know now. "So..." I trailed. I looked around nervously. Jacob's tied up, Shieldige has a scar thanks to Jacob's stalking in the factory, and Rainbow has a black eye. I don't know how this can get worse. "So Shieldige, it's uh, been a long time!" I said. He gives me a glare through his shades. Rainbow sighed. "Are we really going to do this?" She asks. "Well, anyway moving on," I said, awkwardly. "Sam, you don't know what you're doing," Jacob said. I looked at him. "What do you mean?" I ask. Jacob looks up at me. "You still have no idea? Look around, this isn't real Sam!" He said. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Sam, that is not the Rainbow Dash you lo-" I cut him off, slapping him. He looks up at me with surprise, and another look I can't quite place. "This is reality Jacob, deal with it," I said. He shakes his head. "Can you two let us be in privacy, I got this," I said. Shieldige nods. "No, I want answers," Rainbow says. "I will give some to you after this, so please," I said. Rainbow sighs and leave. Jacob and I sit in silence. "You still don't know what you're doing," Jacob says. "Well what the hell am I suppose to do!?" I yell. "I have had enough of this crap and I am not in any situation to be in control!!!" I yell louder. Jacob looks at me with the same look as before. "Do you think that I don't know? Do you think that I don't know [censor] and I'm an insane madman!?" He yells back. I tried massaging the right side of my forehead and looked at him in the eye. "Tell me smart-ass, what am I supposed to do then?" I ask quietishly. Jacob glares at me. "You're being controlled Sam, don't you see? This is a world in someone's control. Someone is planning something!" Jacob said. "Who?" I ask. I heard only silence. "Answer me jackass, who?" I ask again. "I don't know," Jacob said. "Well then that's great!" I yell. "You know someone's in control, but ya don't know who! Brilliant friggen thinking Jacob!" I say. He only stares at the floor. "Sam, if someone starts trying to help, do not be with him or her," he said. "Help me with what Jacob? My sanity is about as long as an inch, my beloved Rainbow Dash is gone, and you tried to kill me, who the hell is going to try and help me in this world Jacob?" I ask, demandingly. "I can't believe I used to look up to you Sam. But now, you're just an insane person, nothing more," he answers. He then gave me the same look a third time, and I realized what it was. Terror. I glared back at him. "I'm done talking Sam, whoever's controlling this world soon has no use for me, so goodbye," he said. I got up, and calmly walked out. "Make sure this is locked up tight and give him two meals a day," I said to a guard. He nods and goes on his way. Before I stepped into my office, Rainbow cuts me off. "Hey Rainbow, whatcha need?" I ask smiling. She glares at me, "You know what I want. What was Jacob going to say and why?" She asks. I sighed. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you," I said. She keeps glaring. "Give me the truth, now," she demands frankly. I nodded in silence and went into my office and sat down. "Rainbow, I am not who you think I am. I don't know where to start, so I'll start with this. I used to live in a world of ponies, colorful, magical, and happy ponies. I used to live in that world with the feeling of happiness, and peace everywhere. I also had someone... Special to me, extremely special to me," I said. "We had a good life, but she outlived me when I died. I was working in a factory, slightly like this one, and then I got..." I trailed off. Should I tell her a half truth, or the whole truth? I look at Rainbow Dash, and she gives me a gesture to go on. "Electrocuted. I was then put in a hospital for, I think two or three weeks, and then I just died," I continued. I looked at Rainbow Dash to see disbelief. "You didn't die, you're right here," she said jokingly. I look down, shaking my head. "This is a joke right?" She asks. I look at her with tears in my eyes. "This is not a joke, because of what happened, I can't see that pony ever again because the rest of my friends are still screwed up," I said. My anger started burning. "This is their fault now that I think about it, because they got themselves screwed up, and now me too!" I yelled, slamming my fist into the wall. I looked at it to see a dent on where I struck. "Ugh, sorry, just um, nerves," I said. Rainbow nodded staring at the wall with fear. "You act like I'm going to hurt you," I said. Rainbow looks up shaking her head. "Nah, I'm just surprised, that's all," she said. I sighed. "Do you have any more question?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Okay, toodles," I said, walking to my office. I then sit in my office chair and stare at the ceiling. I then had an idea. I remember going to a psychiatrist once, and he said that I should keep some sort of journal/diary with me. He also told me to write down all that had happened on when I feel like it should start, and finish it on when I should end. I opened the drawers to luckily find one unused journal. I then quickly started writing down everything that has happened from a little bit before I got to the original Equestrian, and after many many many hours of writing, get to here, where I am right now. I'm even writing this senten- okay never mind this joke isn't funny. It's been two days and I had finally finished the journal. I had gone home and done many chores, and I finally get to have Scootaloo live with me again, yay! I haven't heard anything from Jacob, so I thought maybe I should visit him and try to patch things up. I admit, I was pretty aggressive, so apologies are necessary. I walk into the secret room to find Jacob, playing Go Fish with two guards. "Do you have any fish tail?" One guard asks in a Russian accent. "Go Fish," Jacob said. "Same," the other guard said. "Knockity knock knock," I said. Jacob looks up with surprise. "Sam! Are you going to listen to me?" He asks. I sighed. "I dunno, hold on, do you two mind?" I ask, looking at the guards continuing the game. "Oops, sorry," they said. They stumbled out leaving their cards. Jacob looks at me. "Sam, you need to listen to me and get us out of here!" He said. I groan. "This again Jacob? For the last time I am not insane," I said. "I never said you're insane, I just said you don't realize what's going on!" He said. "You know what, give me one or two good reasons why I should listen," I said. Jacob looks down. "Would you do it for her?" He asks. "Who?" I ask. "Rainbow Dash, would you get her out of this nightmare for her?" He asks. I looked at him for a moment. "If that's not reason enough, please let me have a chance to see the real Fluttershy again. At least once Sam, please," he said, starting to cry. I stared at him for a few moments, seeing my best friend do something he's never done before. "Fine," I said. Jacob rushes up to me and hugs me hard. "Thank you, thank you so much," he said. I sighed. "Jacob, I understand how it feels," I said. "If we're going to escape though, we need a plan, an elaborate ruse," I said. "Anything Sam, anything," Jacob said. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8: The Plan //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8: The Plan Chapter 8: The Plan I shoved Jacob out of the room, anger and hatred in my eyes. "Jacob you son of a bitch, you're out of here!!!" I yelled, chasing him out of the hallway. He fear in his eyes as I walked down the hall with the emergency gun pointed at his shoulder. Ponies didn't mind too much to my surprise. When I got to a corridor, I bumped into Rainbow Dash. "Oh hey Dash! I um, I was just testing Mr Crazy here to the gates. That way, there's a less blood," i said. She looked taken aback by this and I continued on. She thinks I'm insane. I didn't care at this point. This is not the Rainbow I know and love. Jacob's explained everything to me. He saw Chrysalis. Chrysalis was some sort of supreme knock off of 'The Master of Disguise'. Only difference is she is actually smart. I found out about everything. Jacob heard her talking about a big plan. She dissapeared when the conversation progressed apparently. He does know that I play a major role. Once we got to the gates I lied to the guards and said I'd deal with him at my house. When I got inside I pointed the gun up and shot. Jacob scrambled. "Dude! What the hell!?" He yells as I bursted into laughter. I couldn't stop myself. Soon, I calmed down and we discussed what we were going to do. "Alright, so we need to find Joe, Henry, Max, and the um, yeah the other one," I said, Jacob looks at me dead-panned. "Yeah yeah, his name's Tom, anyway, after that, we need to make them good again! Any ideas how?" I ask. He shrugs. Then, by a miracle that God had sent, Max walks in the room with a guilty look. I run to the opposite side of the room. "Max, good to see you buddy!" Jacob said, smiling. I hid behind him. "Jacob, Max is in love with a serial killer!" I said, keeping my distance. He rolled his eyes. "Sam, I already reformed him, he's on our side now," he said. I slowly walk out of behind him and looked at Max. He waves and I wave back. I look at Jacob. "So, who's next?" I ask. "Tom," he said simply, looking at the clear table in front of him. "... Can we skip him?" I ask. Jacob looks at me like I'm an idiot. "I'm joking I'm joking!" I said putting my hands in the air. "Alright, well we need to pry him from the crazy experiments first," he said. I looked at him wide eyed. "Experiments!?" I exclaimed. He nods, grimacing. "The Twilight in this dimension is a nutcase, and she experiments on ponies, animals, even her own friends," he said. I grew nervous. "What kind of experiments?" I ask. "Biological. From taking all the blood out of a patient to see how long it'll live to how mentally damaged it could be in complete solitude," he said. I almost threw up at the first bit. "That's torture!" I yelled. I'm glad Scootaloo wasn't here to see this. That reminds me. "I didn't think she'd be crazy! From what Scootaloo told me she's a leader in an organization!" I said. Max nods solemnly. "Well, I thought Pinkamena was an okay mare, but no," he said quietly. I look at the man I see in front of me. "She tortured ponies Sam, I was afraid of her," he said. "All the screams, all the blood, and that monster," he said, shaking a little. I put a hand on his shoulder slowly, and he hugged me, crying. I had no idea what to do when a grown man cries so I just pat his back. "It has got to be horrible in both of your cases," I said. Jacob rolled a blueprint in front of us. A blueprint of a castle. Twilight's castle. I looked up at Jacob. "If we get to Tom, and turns out he's in another castle, I'm going to beat the living hell out of you guys," I said. They nodded and I looked at the blue prints. "Alright, we must go through the front door," Jacob started. "Wait, the front door? What about a window?" I ask. "Crystal," he said. "Now, then we have to go down the stairs and into a hallway. There's going to be a door at the end with a magic spell on it. The spell is broken if you say a word that I don't know yet. Once we figure out how to get past, we have to go towards the last door on the right in a testing chamber. Once we get Tom, we have to go to that room there," he said, pointing to a small room. "There's a hole there that we can go through to get out. Now, any questions?" He asks. "Yes, how the hell won't Twilight notice?" I ask. He smiles widely. "You'll see," he said. Max raises his hand. "I have a question, when are we gonna do this?" He asks. "First thing in the morning," he said. He rolls up the blueprints and lights a match with the broken wall. He burns the blueprints, leaving no evidence that we are going to break someone out of prison. "Hey Jacob? Where did you get the blueprints?" I ask. He sighs. "Well, someone came up, bat me on the head with it, and told me to put it into good use," he said. "When I tried to ask her who she was, she disappeared," he continued. I look down in thought. I look at him. "I don;t think we should do this, I've got a bad feeling," I said. He shakes his head. "I am not going to wait for my friends to die again!" He yells. I was taken aback as he is heaving. He turns and I put a hand on his shoulder. "Let's postpone the plan until the next day," I said. He sighs. "You guys were put through hell and back, I am not gonna let either of you push yourselves," I said. He sighs. "Fine, we'll put it off," he said. I nodded. "Now, get some rest, both of you," I said. "Yes mother!" Max said. Jacob sighs as he goes into the guest room. I hope Scootaloo doesn't freak out. Author's Note Please tell me whether or not the paragraphs are spaced. She walks up to me and shakes me awake. "Sam?" She asks, making me wake up. "Huh? Oh hi Scootaloo," I said. I stood up. "Who are they?" Scootaloo asks again. "They're my friends, Jacob and Max," I said. Scootaloo smiles shyly and looks at me. "They won't try to kill us right?" She asks. I nod. She gives a sigh of relief. Before anything else happened, I appeared in a dark void. Chills crept up my spine like two snakes. I turn around to see if there is any light. Instead, I see a bat pony with a black coat and an orange mane. "Hi Sam, my name is Fireheart! And boy do I have deals to make with you!" He said. "What?" I asked. "Let's get straight to the point, I have three options!" He takes out three cards. "Pick a card amigo!" He said. I took the middle one. "Optiono numero uno is your death! In exchange, everyone lives!" He exclaimed. He takes the left card up. "Option two is your mare friend dies!" He said. I glared at him. "Ooooor, number three: all of your friends die, except you and your loved ones!" He said. I glared. "What if I don't chose one?" I asked. He chuckles maniacally. "Then you die and watch as your friends and loved ones suffer in an eternal torcher, I privately suggest you choose this option!" He exclaimed. "You're insane," I said. "What else is new?" He replied. "Oh yes, there is one more option though! Show him what we got Fire!" I look to the right at whatever he's pointing at, which turns out to be him wearing a moustache. "He could kill this dimension's Mane Six and live in the world he knew!" He said. I grew confused. "Let's spin the mind!" Fireheart said. He straps me to a table and took out my brain in a flash. He puts it on a spinning wheel and spins. I have no idea what the hell is going on. I thought about my options. Well, actually, it's not that hard. Maybe I'll just kill these six ponies. It seems like the right thing to do right? They're all evil, this entire dimension is, but they are still living beings. Again, they are evil, and I know it. I processed the rest of my options and sighed. "I'll take the-" before I could finish, he throws the suicide card out the window. "Oopsy, guess suicide is not an option!" He said. I stared at him. I can't believe it. He just freaking did that didn't he? "Aaaaand lookie here!" He continues, pointing at the wheel. "What?" I asked. "You just picked: Kill this dimension's Mane Six!" He said. "Hope you have fun! Now go, you have at least a week to kill them!" He said, laughing hysterically. "Why're you doing this!?" I asked. He stops laughing and looks at me, chuckling. "It's fun, and I need to provide to my king I'm powerful," he said. Before I could say more, I'm in the living room, staring into space. "Jacob! Max! Change of plan!" I yelled. "We are gonna take care of them ourselves!" I said. I walked passed Scootaloo, who had a frightened face. "Where are you going?" She asked. "On a mission," I said. She looks at my eyes and gasped. She knew that look. She starts shaking. "Why?" She asked. "So that me and my friends can be at home," I said. She then runs out the door, scared out of her mind on what I would do. She should be. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10: To Kill or not to Kill //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10: To Kill or not to Kill I'm doing this. I'm totally doing this. For the love of everyone, I'm doing this. What Fireheart said, made me think. I carried my concealed weapon, it took a couple hours, but we firegured out a plan. A foolproof plan. We have everyone in spot. We even had Tom, after some 'convincing'. I'll get into that later, but we have everyone in one spot. Joe's fine, no dramatic problems surprisingly, and Rarity didn't even need convincing luckily thanks to Henry's skills. We are doing this friggen' thing in a day. I look at the Rainbow Factory. I know it's history, thanks to Twilight. I'm not afraid to do this. I walk in to work, sit in my office and I buzz my manager instantly. Rainbow walks in, a timid look. "Yes Sam? What's wrong?" She asked. I sat silently. "Want to go get some breakfast, I'm buying," I said. She tilts her head. She nodded and we both left, and I feel my confidence growing every second. I figured out something thanks to Fire heart. Me and Rainbow are the same. Rainbow and I are the same. We're crazy in a way. We walk up to Sugarcube Corner, me smiling and Rainbow looking nervous. She knows about Scootaloo being freaked out. Good thing she didn't hear what I did. As we enter the pastry place, Pinkamena and Max bring out a cupcake platter. I smiled widely. I take out my revolver, and pointed it at the ceiling. I shot, and Pinkamena sighs, shaking her head. "Why the buck do I even bother?" She asked Max. He shrugs. Rainbow covers her ears. "The hell Sam!?" She asked. Before she could ask more, I grab her head, kissed her lips, and smiled insanely looking at Pinkamena. "I'd like a couple unglazed donuts please," I said. Rainbow just sat stunned. I grab a donut and look at her. "What's wrong?" I ask, chuckling a little. Rainbow looks at me. "Did you kiss me?" She asked. "I dunno, did it feel like this-" I leaned over, grabbed her head, and firmly kissed her again, and then let her go to offer a donut. "... Um, I uh, I don't um, the hell?" She asked. "Well, I'm gonna die in a week, so i might as well do everything I ever wanted to," I said. "And the first thing I want to do, is say good bye to someone I love. You may be different than the Rainbow I knew, but you're still her," I said. She stares. I hug her, and walk off, leaving money on the counter for two donuts. Max sighs. "Bye, Pinkie, it's been such a pleasure being with you," he said, kissing her. She puts her hoof on his face. "Bye Max, do me a favor and stay handsome will ya?" She asked. He nods, crying. He leaves, and the room became silent. That was until Twilight through a book into the room through the window. "... Son of a bitch Twilight," Pinkamena muttered. I walk down the brown, trashed road. I was soon joined by Tom, Jacob, Henry, Max, and Joe. See, when we got Tom out, turned out Twilight was doing "special" experiments on him. She thought we'd kill him until we prooved it to her. Joe was fine because Applejack in this world was pretty much the same. I'll miss this place a lot. Even if it's not home home, it's a home none-the-less... I gasped at the sight before me. The six freaking humans just jumped ahead to phase two of the plan. I must thank Fireheart graciously. Thanks to his nonsense, I've finally gotten to phase 2. I can only hope that they're ready. Equestria. Will. Be. Mine! Author's Note No, this is not the end, in fact it's the middle! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 12: Living the Life Before... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 12: Living the Life Before... I groaned, and got up. It took me a minute to realize what's happening. I look around to see that I'm in my old room. Everything is different though. There's color. There's fresh air. There is an all too familiar pegasus in bed with me. I smiled happily. I got out of bed quietly and went around the cloud house. Everything is just the way it is since I left it. I look at the calendar and gasped quietly. It said I died a long time ago. About two years. I almost cried for them. It said today was my son's birthday. I doubt they'll miss me too much now, but they miss me none the less. I walk outside to see the starry night, the sun about to rise. I sighed in relief. I went back inside and headed upstairs to see my little angel. Fretus Wing. He was laying sprawled out, his brown hair messy and almost the same style as mine. His blue wings were in good condition. I got out before anyone woke up, and headed to the cemetery. I found all of my buddies' tombstones. Even mine. I look at all the epitahs. Mine said, 'A good person who was stubborn, and cared for his friends and family. He was a great husband and father'. I stood for a minute, reading the engraving. I didn't read the others, I lost interest. I looked around to realize that there was a bunch of snow. I smiled, loving the cold. I sighed as I heard a distant familiar song. Pinkie. Pinkie's morning song. She still sings it. I stopped a minute when I realize it was quieter than usual. Normally it's almost blasting, but now it's so faint I can barely hear it. Even stranger, it stopped in the middle of it's chorus. At first I thought Max met her again, but Pinkie wouldn't cry like this. I sat down next to my tombstone. It's weird. To me, it's weird to be technically dead for two years. I smirked and got up and walked. I have a plan on how to give my son a present. I took out everything in my pockets to see I have enough money for a toy. I hope so anyway. I looked up to see all of my best friends looking at their tombstones. "Weird isn't it?" I ask. They all jump and look at me. "Today is a very convenient day for me. Today is my son's birthday, and I've been gone for two years," I said. Tom nodded. "Today is the anniversary of my wedding," He said. Tears have been going down his face. "I have been gone for at least two years as well," he said. Max nodded silently. I felt myself smile. "Well, today is a great day to give our family and friends a great present," I said. I stood up, about to walk to a shop. "Where are you going?" Max asks. "I can't go to Fretus' birthday empty handed," I said, walking off. It's three o'clock, and Fretus is happy for all the gifts he got. He got action figures, wonderbolt posters, and even a new helmet! He could be completely awesome with it! Especially in hoof ball! Rainbow Dash smiles as he sits on the couch, playing with two action figures. She looks at the calendar that was marked with multiple marking. She looks at the month and sighs. "Two years Sam, I hope you're okay up there," she said. She has been keeping track of how long it has been since I died. She sighs again and looks out at the snowy winter outside. She then saw something odd. She thought she was seeing things based on what she was seeing. She saw a familiar man outside with a black jacket, a weird t-shirt with Halo: Reach on it, jeans, and black sneakers, walking to the front door. Knocking was heard and Rainbow reacted quickly. "Coming!" She exclaims. She reached to the door and opens it. What she saw made her gasp. The same man was standing in front of her, holding a red fedora. The man smiled softly. "Hi," he said. Rainbow kept her shocked face. "H-hi..." Rainbow sat stunned for a minute before the man chuckled. "Two years I was gone and you already don't recognize me? I always thought that pegasi never forget," he said. Fretus looked over at who his mother was talking to and gasped. "Dad?" He asks. I, the familiar man standing in front of them, nodded. "Hiya kiddo, how have you been while I was gone?" I ask. Rainbow was still stunned, watching the man she loved that died, had come back to life. "Is this a dream?" She asks. I leaned over and kissed her lips passionately. "If it is, I hope it doesn't end," I said. Fretus runs over to me and hugs me extremely tight, crying happily. I hug him back and dragged Rainbow over to join in. As we all hugged, I look at Fretus. "By the way, today is your birthday isn't it?" I ask. He nods. "This is the greatest gift ever!" He says. "Well, guess what else I got for you?" I ask. I pull out the red fedora I had and gave it to him. "What is this? A hat?" He asks curiously. "Yep, it was a hat I would always wear when I was first here. It holds many special memories. I want you to have it," I said. Fretus smiles widely. He tries to wear it on his head, but it was a little too big. It leaned onto one side, covering his left eye. I chuckled a little. Rainbow kisses me again and hugs me crushingly. "Don't die again please?" She asks. "Don't worry I'm not going to go away too soon," I said. As we all happily hugged, our lives felt complete again. I was glad that the journey was over. Now, I have to complete the true journey of life. Joe was hugged and squeezed to death at his home. Tom was actually missed to my surprise. Jacob's daughter couldn't hug Jacob hard enough. Max had the biggest party that Pinkie had ever made. Henry and Rarity had a great, great time at the spa, then at the movies. I, Sam Smith, am happy I don't have to go through trials as bad anymore. Now, the next generation however, just started. Author's Note Yes yes I know, chessiest ending ever, applause applause, no encores for this story though. I think literally everyone is happy that it ended. Well, thank God in my opinion! I'm not saying I hated making this, but it was really tiresome, hope you all enjoyed, BYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11: Abandon Plan //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11: Abandon Plan Chapter 11: Abandon Plan "No! No no no no!!!" Chrysalis screams. Death sighs, sipping his morning coffee. "That filthy demon ruined everything!!! It did not turn those damn humans insane! It did not make them want to kill! He lied to us!!!" She continues. Death rolled his eyes. "Well what do you expect from a literal demon dumbass, besides, isn't lying what you changelings like to do? To get food?" He asks. "That is for a need. A need Death, it's not a want, it's not an urge, it is a bucking need!!!" Chrysalis slams her hoof into the table, Death lifting his cup first. "Demons have a need to lie as well," he said. "Oh really? Pray, tell, what is it for!?" "It's in their own character," he answered smoothly. "Why didn't you tell me before that he was lying!?" She yells. "I was interested," he said. "Wanted to see where it goes. So, now that your little plan has failed, you owe me a debt to pay," he continued. Chrysalis looked at him with fear. "No, I just need more time, that's all, please! Please! I beg of you!" "Forget it you buggy bitch, you had a chance and blew it, and now you have to bring all of your little children to me to 'bless' them," he said with a wry smirk. Chrysalis cried, her hooves in her face. Death smiled. "I hope your little minions love afterlife," he finished. He gets up from his table and walks over to the crying queen, and whispered," You've been messing around with fate, and you're paying the price. I hope you like the taste of your second defeat." "Please, give me another chance!" Chrysalis begs. "I've given you a chance, and don't bother thinking about getting back alive because being impaled after a long flight from Canterlot is a one way ticket," he finished, walking away to the double doors. Before he closes it, he says, "Since you've messed with these poor humans, I'm giving them another chance because of the hell you put them through." He walks down the hall and into his office. The walls are black, mist around the floor in a weird green color. He picks up a list and looks at his watch list. Sam, Jacob, Tom, Max, Joe, and Henry. He scratches them off and takes a list called 'recall'. He puts the six names down and he put his pen beside the paper. "Have a good second life..."
