The beginning of the new season.
???: Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect? No? Well simply put its a sequence of choices that you are presented with in your life. A chance to truly show what you are capable of in your life to make it worthwhile or not. In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. Well, heh, allow me a chance to show you just that by experiencing my story. It was a great life, but who would have thought it had to end like this...
In the confines of the canterlot library a purple unicorn was busy working on a project to impress the Princess. A spell that even Princess Celestia herself dared not to use. She wore a white button up shirt that looked to be tight against her chest, and some jeans that lined along her figure to help accentuate her well toned thighs. Her eyes were made of pure magenta as she moved the books within the library around in order to do some more research on the spell. "Spike, I need some help, I can't seem to find the book on theory of relativity!"
"On it! Hey twilight? why are you trying so hard on the forbidden spells? I am still surprised that Princess Celestia even gave you access to some of her private collections. Oh here it is, Twilight I-" He was interrupted abruptly to the book being lifted out of his grasp with a magenta shaded force around it. It floated down to twilight as she was eating apple crisps while she began to read. "Keepin' up her brain power?", Spike was thrown off by the book suddenly leaving his grip and began to flail off the edge of the latter. Right before abruptly falling into the books below, "Twilight come on! This place is a mess we really need to clean up the Princess has a mission for us later on today. Maybe you could at least go out now and then?"
This caught Twilight's attention as she simply answered, "I don't have time for friends and the outdoors Spike! I have research to do. Also do you remember where I placed the book on the elements of harmony? I want to refresh my memory on it, I could have sworn I heard about it somewhere before." Spike sighed before perking up as he grabbed the book she wished for off the counter side.
"Hey twilight, Moon dancers party is today, maybe you should go out and wish her a happy birthday?"
"Oh spike, you know we don't have time for those sort of things! Now help me find that book on predictions and prophesies!"
"Its over here!" The book is suddenly tugged and with wide eyes he is thrown to the floor holding the book now floating beside Twilight with a stare that said. "really?"
"E,E,E, Ah ha! The elements of harmony, see mare in the moon?" She looked to spike, then to the other books. "You know what, I am going to focus on one thing at a time." She then began to draw something up on the floor in her library. "Alright, so according to this spell I have everything I need, all that is left is someone who doesn't wish to belong in their world anymore?" Her ears flattened at the sound of this. "Why would someone not want to live on their world? Thats so horrible!" She sighed then began to cast the spell, "Oh beings from another world who wish upon this day, bring forth a being just as I say!" With the incantation, the books began to swirl around her and winds began to uproar. Lightning cackled across the area before in a flash a being laid upon the floor. He looked beat up and his clothes were tattered and torn. "Wow.... I did it!" She began jumping around as spike rushed over to check his vitals.
His eyes widening, "Twilight! We need to get him to the hospital quick! His vitals are dropping at a rapid pace!" Twilight froze and began to panic before grabbing spike and using her magic to lift the being to the hospital. As she stormed out and the door slammed, the books pages flew aside on a certain book that lay upon the floor. Within it showed a picture of the mare in the moon.
Before the summons to Equestria.
"My day started out pretty rough huh?" He laughed as he looked behind him, there was a few of the local bullies chasing him.
Back about an hour ago!
He had just gotten out of high school having had a busy day; he just wanted to get home and relax a bit. On his way, he stopped to look at the gardens along the fronts of the houses, admiring the beauty they gave. With a content sigh and looking to the sky, he felt a tear stream down his cheek. "Mother, I hope you are doing well up there..." He found himself in front of his house and right when he reached for the gates that's when "They" arrived.
A man who looked to be at the age of 25, looked down at him with an intimidating glare. His arms crossed on his chest with a disappointed look. "You owe us money that your mother couldn't give us. You are barely scrapping by as it is!" The man had picked him up off the ground and slammed him into the brick wall. This caused the high schooler to cough out some blood upon impact and tremble in fear.
"Please.... Don't..." right before a fist slammed into his gut knocking him to the ground as he coughed from the wind knocked out of him.
"Get him boys!" The man walked away where as 2 thugs came in wearing thick jackets and black boots, kicking him while he was already down and laughing.
"Wow, look at this wimp! To think he can't even stand up to anyone and just isolates himself from society! I wonder if he even has any friends!" They both cackled as he began to cry the feeling of rage building up within him. "Oh it seems someone is offended? Too bad that slut of a mother you have didn't even stay long enough to teach you how to fend for yourself! She was hot maybe I should have banged her before we threw her to the curb!"
With a scream and loud cough he gathered up all the energy he could muster and stormed off down the alley way.
"Hey! Hes getting away! Sneaky little devil!" They began to chase him and gain on him over time.
Current time.
"Leave me alone! I didn't do anything to you why!?" He said through sobs as he ran down the stairway to the pier on the edge of the beach.
"Your mother owed us money and her body wasn't enough! Now since you can't pay the same way we gave you a chance! Get back here and take your beating like your supposed to!"
He ran around the lighthouse in a panic he looked around for a way out. "Damn it!" He spoke through his tears that stained his blood splattered face, by the injuries he had sustained from their beat-down. "I don't want to die.... My father is dead.... My mother is dead... What can i DO!?" He grunted with his voice cracking from the pressure. However a light was shown within the water where the moonlight now shown below.
A mysterious voice spoke out to him from the moons reflection. "I can offer you a chance at something new.. You won't have to die here... A new life... A new world.... A new power...." The voice sounded motherly and sympathetic as a blue whirlpool grew within the moons reflection.
"Come on he can't have gotten far! We have a job to do lets find him!"
Through gritted teeth he jumped into the whirlpool as he twirled within and as the blue ocean moved around him, he slowly faded into unconsciousness feeling that this was going to be his last moments.
