Chapters Today was a big day the first day of a new school year and evrypony was getting ready, this of corse included Storm chaser whose mom swift wing was currently going on about not flying near the end of Cloudsdale "now remember there are strong winds this time of day so take the cloud bridge instead of flying over" Swift wing sad
"I know I know," said a very irritated Storm chaser heading out the door. Stormy as her friends called her was a normal pony who got straight A's and never broke a rule she was, however, shy and short tempered. Pulse she did not have a cutie mark at 13. It was a good five miles to school and most of it was over the gap in the middle of Cloudsdale wich meant she had to take a narrow strip of cloud called the bridge across, meaning she wold have to wait because it was only wide enuff for one pony to walk hoof to hoof on and ponies were going both ways, mainly foals who cold not fly used the bridge but today there was a storm which meant EVRYPONY was using the bridge! one hour was the time she had to get to school, it took ONE ENTIER HOUR TO GET ON THE BRIDGE! from the start of the bridge it was for miles to school she was late.
Terena left home late and was running to cross the bridge over the river when she was half way across the bridge she felt as if she was high in the sky in the middle of a storm on a bridge that you needed to walk heel to toe on she panicked and fell it only lasted a second. she got up and ran to school an hour and a half late she had the feeling that someone or something was watching her scared she took out a piece of paper and wrote who is there what she did not expect was

"Terena what are you doing?" the teacher said
"um i am doing my work,"terena said. she looked at the paper and folded it up for later she needed to work now.
back in Cloudsdale Storm chaser was waiting at the bridge again, this time, she wanted to go home with the magickly folding paper and strange messages, along with being late to school all she wanted to do was go HOME but nooooo! she had to wait here and listen to "blank flank blank flank blank flank blank flank haha haha haha loser" and so on she thought about all that had happened
"hay you it is your turn to cross," a gruff voice said. she got home and told her parents she had a great day.
"Terena what kept you?" her mom asked
" I came in late so I had to do work sorry mom" she sad
" Tomaro you have to wake up early and I will take you to school and you are grounded wich means no friends and no going out after school for a week" her mom yelled.
"BUT MOM PLEAS"terena said as she started to cry. she needed a nap a long one, but she had home, work and her mom had a strict no sleeping before bed, time at ten policy, she also had to help around the house and since she was an only child her mom never gave her space wich meant she would have to wait till Tomorrow to figure out what happened today.
"get in the basement there is a storm coming hurry" her mom's voice yelled it was bed time now but with a tornado warning she had to go to the basement,
"mom can I sleep in the basement?" she asked
"no, we need to be on alert" here mom said.
When the storm finally cleared it was one in the morning and the power in the city was out wich meant she had to stay up even longer, and there was a flood which meant her mom wold have to go out and help clean up since that was part of her job and that meant she had to help after school wich was in five hours and she had to sleep "ok terena you go to sleep I will see if I can get the stove to work" her mom said. about an hour later "FIER!! GET UP" her mom yelled now they had to evacuate and the power was still out.
When school started Terena was sound asleep in class hay can you see my wrighting the paper she had taken out right as the bell rang said y e s n e e d s l e e p she wrote back what happened the paper then got all soggy from drool as terena fell asleep in school.
stormy thought this over and figured out that if they pulled out a piece of paper at the same time they could talk. she decided that they should figure out if it worked everywhere for once she had someone who wold not tease her and had similar interests she had a friend. That night after her mom gave her flight lessons she sed "mom I made a friend today" her mom was thrilled
"that's great can they fly yet"
"no they don't have their cutie mark either," she said the smile her mom gave her made the long day yesterday worth it.
all it takes is one miss step
"no no you WILL NOT be doing the flying and balance test today there is a rain storm planned for today no way!" Storm chasers mom screamed it had ben three days since she had met terena it was fall and that was the rainy season in Equestria and that meant storm chaser was not flying anywhere.
"mom it is mandatory I WILL FAIL if I don't take it" she whined before heading for the door with saddle bags full of paper and school stuff.
"you haven't had breakfasts and why are your saddle bags so full?" her mom asked
"one I can eat at school and need paper for math". waiting was not something she was good at and she was a whole hour late AGEN it was finally her turn to cross the bridge she took a single step forward.
"wh where am I," a small voice asked thru the darkness
"is someone there" storm chaser asked to the pony that was behind stormy it looked as if she had vanished first it was dim but soon the strange space lit up and it was so bright it was hard to see as the lights dimmed to a comfortable level Stormy could make out a figure that looked a lot like the picture terena glued to the paper "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!"stormy screamed
"there you are" the teacher yelled "how late am I," she asked
"two hole hours".
"woo" "no" "aa" "ops" "and eek" "help" screams from her classmates trying to pass the flight and balance test in the wind it was her turn next
"OK STORMY YOUR UP" the flight coaches voice boomed she climbed the steps onto the small strip of cloud that was not as wide as her
"one wrong step and I am a goner, careful calm focus calm careful calm no distractions wings closed steady and wings jump fly waa STEADY!!!!!! point your wings with the wind and do the obstacles land"
"GOOD JOB YOU COMPLETED THE TEST IN A WIND STORM!!!!!"he screamed.
"wow how did you do that without a CUTIEMARK," the school bully asked and teased at the same time
"it is so obvious she had som good luck," said the other one.
