He drew his sonic screwdriver, and rushed over to the girls standing in front of Canterlot High School. He stopped right in front of the them and asked, in an exhausted voice, "What's going on? I got a phone call, what's going on?! Cybermen, Daleks, Zygons!?" Sunset added in, "Is there Equestrian magic on the loose? Did something come through the portal?" "Did a giant cake monster cover all the cakes in the world with cake?!" Pinkie Pie shouted, causing both Sunset and Adagio to face palm. Rainbow Dash, who was pulling her guitar out of her case replied, "Um, not exactly." Sunset scratched the back of her head. "Uh, I don't understand." Applejack rolled her eyes, and looked at the Doctor and the others. "I was just telling Rainbow Dash here, that a broken guitar string doesn't exactly count as an emergency." Rainbow Dash replied, "It totally does!" "Really, Rainbow Dash, I was in the middle of sewing a very complex advocate for my latest frock." Rarity said. "And, I was about to tuck in everyone in for the night at the shelter. Now I have to start stories all over again." Fluttershy said, who was petting her rabbit. "I was working on a new magical scanner. I was just finished with the calibration, and now I need to restart it all over again." Twilight said, adjusting her glasses. "I was just about to buy a Cyberman head from the Galactic Market." The Doctor said, placing his screwdriver back in his pocket, "Now, I have to hope to get back before it's sold to someone else." "Wait a minute!" Adagio intervened, and glared at Rainbow Dash, "Are you telling me that you stopped us all from doing something important, just because you have a broken guitar string?! Why didn't you just go to Guitar Center and buy a new one, rather than bother all of us?!" "YEAH!!!" The others agreed. Rainbow Dash smiled. "Well, I was gonna pony up and show our fans some awesome guitar licks," she gestured to the Crusaders sitting on the top step, "But, I kinda need all six strings to do it. Got any extra?" The other eight sighed. Sunset reached into her backpack, and pulled out a low E string. "Here." She said, handing Rainbow the string. "But, everyone finished practicing for the day, I think all the music rooms are locked." "No problem!" Rainbow said, cockily. "The acoustics in the hallway are perfect for power chords." She strummed her guitar loudly. "Come on, let's go!" Everyone followed Dash into the school, save the Doctor, Twilight, and Sunset. Applejack looked back. "You three comin'?" She asked. "We'll be with you in a moment." Sunset said, and sat down the steps, the to other two sitting down next to her. She glanced at the Doctor's look. "What happened to the purple coat?" She asked. The Doctor tugged on his tweed jacket. "Oh, this old thing?" the Doctor said, "I was in a rush, and this was what I had." "It's nice, it makes you look like a professor." Twilight said. The Doctor chuckled. "Funny, I had a friend you use to call me the professor." "Yes, well, I hear there's a spot opening at CHS soon." Sunset said. "I just hope we get a good teacher to replace Mr. Turner." "Mr. Turner?" the Doctor asked. "That teacher who looked liked my last incarnation?" "That's him." Sunset said. "According the Rainbow Dash, he plans to leave the school to spend time with his family." "Oh." the Doctor said. "So, anything new..." the Doctor's voice trailed off, as he saw five girls standing around the Wondercolts statue, each holding a roll of toilet paper. They each wore jeans, and a purple hoodie, and began unravelling the toilet paper. "Hey!" the Doctor shouted, catching the girls by surprise, and causing Sunset and Twilight to look up. "What're you doing!?" Sunset shouted, as she, Twilight, and the Doctor stood up, as the five girls jumped. One of the girls placed a note against the statue, and began running. "Hey! Stop!" Sunset yelled, as the three ran towards the five girls. Twilight stopped at the statue to examine the note, as the five girls quickly boarded a bus which sped away. As the Doctor pulled out his screwdriver to scan the leaving bus. "Who were they?" Sunset asked. "Well, they were human, that's true enough." The Doctor said, looking at the screwdriver emitter. "But, why were they here?" He asked, and glanced over to Twilight, who was stuck looking at the note. "Twilight?" the Doctor asked, walking back over to her. "Are you alright?" The Doctor looked at the note, and mumbled, "Oh..." "What is it?" Sunset asked, and walked over to them. The Doctor peeled it off the statue, and showed it to Sunset, who was at a lost for words. Twilight, You should've stayed with us, You could've won. Yours truly, Sour Sweet Youtube Video Mysterious Figures"They were definitely doing something to the statue, or were going to." Sunset explained, as she and the rest were in the library. "Do you think they came through the portal from Equestria?" Fluttershy asked, petting Angel. "No, I think we would've noticed that." Sunset said. "I think they were from over here." "Well, that's a relief," Applejack said, "The last thing we need is another magical so-and-so bent on world domination comin' over from Equestria." Sunset smirked at the familiar jab. "Agreed." Rarity said. "I have no interest in another fight against the powers of evil magic. The wear and tear of my wardrobe us just too much to keep up with." Adagio raised an eyebrow. "Rarity, don't you only ever wear a similar, if not the same, blue sweater and purple skirt?" "And, you always wore a different dress for each occasion. You wore your dress at the Fall Formal, and a different one at the Battle of the Bands." Pinkie Pie added cheerfully. "I'm simply stating that I don't want to fight against magic again." Rarity explained. "Five girls, and, they left a note for Twilight, which is odd." The Doctor explained, lowering his copy of The Time Machine, and looking at Twilight above his glasses. "Did you get a good look of them under those hoods? Any chance you recognized them?" Twilight was broken out of her trance. "Huh? What? Oh, no I didn't get a good look." "Hm..." The Doctor wondered, "I wonder who they were..." "Well, you don't have to anymore, because I totally figured out who it was!" Rainbow Dash said gleefully, coming around the corner. "Oooh! Is it a night time statue cleaner? A magical portal maintenance maintainer? A gardener!?" Pinkie Pie asked gleefully, getting in Dash's face. Rainbow pushed Pinkie away, and said, "Seeing as they got on a bus heading from the city, and got on a bus heading to the city, I bet they go to..." "Crystal Prep." The five girls exasperated. "Yep." Rainbow agreed. "With the Friendship Games starting tomorrow, they'd totally try to prank us by defacing the Wondercolts Statue." "Hm...it's a possibility." Twilight said. "That would explain the note. There weren't exactly a good amount of happy students when I transferred here." "Why's that?" The Doctor asked. "Because the Crystal Prep Shadowbolts are our biggest rivals." Applejack explained. "Because that's just what the students at Crystal Prep would do." Rarity added. "Because even though the beat us at everything," Rainbow held up a yearbook, "Soccer, tennis, golf! They still have to gloat!" Rainbow held up a photo of the statue dressed as a clown. "Sounds like you two are at each others throats." The Doctor said. "Are you sure they'd do that again, even though they haven't even seen what the competitions are yet?" "Oh, definitely." Twilight explained. "When my brother Shining Armor competed in the Games four years ago, he was the only person who didn't gloat all the time, and didn't go to the celebration party, because he knew the students at Crystal Prep were jerks. So, he became assistant coach here." "It's kind of a big deal..." Sunset said, though she sounded unsure. "Oh, that's putting it mildly, darling." Rarity said. "They're still revamping the playing field in preparation." "Hm...I see your point." The Doctor said, standing up, and walzing over to Rainbow and Applejack, placing his arms around them. "But, hey, there's no sure thing said that they'll win this year, right?" "Exactly!" Rainbow said, pulling away. "This time, things are gonna be different." "What do you mean?" Sunset asked. "Oh, you'll find out..." Rainbow said, smirking. "I'm scared." Fluttershy said. Before they could say anything else, Vice Principal Celestia's voice rang out through the library. Will the teacher who applied for the new position please report to my office. "A new teacher?" Adagio said. "I guess Mr. Turner is going to be replaced. I wonder who it will be." "Hopefully someone who knows what he's doing." Sunset said. "And, doesn't give out a lot of homework." Rainbow added. "Hey, where'd the Doctor go?" Twilight asked. The girls looked around, and discovered the bowtie wearing alien was nowhere in sight. "Maybe he left. he did say he wanted to buy that Cyberman head." Sunset said. "Too bad." Rainbow said. "I guess he'll miss it." "Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy began, "That was, amazing! Even I feel like we can win!" "I don't." Adagio said. "I feel like my school pride is at an all time high!" Rarity said. "I never had any to begin with." Adagio added. Rarity glared at her. "You're running the mood, darling." "Is anybody else wonderin' how Dash ponied up without playin' her guitar?" Applejack asked. "I know right!" Rainbow exclaimed, "It's probably because I'm so awesome!" "Maybe..." Sunset said, "I mean, you are awesome, but, there's gotta be more to it than that, right? It just seemed so random." "Well, it'd be nice if you girls could get a handle on it." Vice Principal Luna stated behind Sunset, causing her to turn around. "We get a handle on it?!" Adagio exclaimed, "You get a handle on it! You're the Vice Principal of this school, can't you figure something out?!" Luna glared at Adagio, before looking back at Sunset. "We'd like to keep magic as far away from the Friendship Games as possible. We don't want to be accused of cheating." "That's what you're worried about?" Adagio exclaimed again, "Has it occurred to you that CHS might be in danger with the amount of magical energy developing here?" Rainbow skipped in front of Adagio. "Don't mind her Vice Principal Luna, we can get a hold of it! Besides, we don't need magic to defeat these Crystal Prep students, am I right?!" The other girls, save Adagio, exclaimed in agreement. "Still," Luna continued, "The Friendship Games are serious business." Adagio rolled her eyes. "We don't want any surprises, especially the kind that could cause us to forfeit." She turned to face Sunset. "Sunset Shimmer, you came here from a world of magic-" "So did I." Adagio interrupted, but, Luna payed no attention. "-Perhaps you can get to the bottom of our magical development." "I'll do my best." Sunset said, smiling. "Vice Principal Luna?" Adagio asked, as Luna looked at her. "May I ask why you only asked Sunset to figure out how to fix this magical mess, even though you know fully well I'm from the same world as her, and that I can probably help?" "With all do respect, Ms. Dazzle," Luna said, "I don't trust you. I'd rather put my faith in Sunset." "Oh, you are ignorant, aren't you?" Adagio asked. Luna's eyes turned to ice. "I beg your pardon?" "You're allowing your personal opinion of me to blind your judgment." Adagio explained, "You don't seem to understand that magic is a tricky thing to work with, and just one person to manage is more likely to cause a bigger mess than the one we already have?!" Luna nodded. "You're right." She turned to face Twilight. "Ms. Sparkle, you may assist Ms. Shimmer as well." Adagio's jaw fell open, and her eyes turned to fire. "You are so stupid!" She exclaimed, causing Luna to stare back at her with her cold eyes. "Are you so ignorant, and so blind to realize that I can help, and I'm willing to help, but you are so stubborn, you can't get past your opinion of me! Have you yet to realize that I've changed?!" Luna stared directly into Adagio's eyes. "You haven't changed a bit Ms. Dazzle. And, because of your language, I will see you in detention this evening." With that, Luna turned away, and swaggered off. "Why you self-centered moron!" Adagio exclaimed, causing Luna to turn back. "Can you not see how you're acting?!" Luna walked up to Adagio, and stared at her with her ice eyes. "Remember this, Adagio Dazzle: I am above you. I can send you out of this school and send you back into the hole you came from with nothing but the clothes on your back. Don't cross me, or I will end you." Adagio stared at Luna with genuine fear, as all signs of aggression disappeared. "Luna, may I have a word with you?" A voice said behind Luna. "If you'll excuse me." Luna said, turning and walking off. Adagio ran off in the opposite direction, tears streaming from her face. New Teacher7th Hour. Science. Sunset Shimmer and several others were sitting in the same classroom where Mr. Turner used to be. Sunset's thoughts were busy with anything and everything. Adagio was normally in this class, but, she was nowhere to be seen. Instead all the other students were chatting up a storm, while Sunset simply thought. But, before she could continue, Principal Celestia entered the room. "Students! If you'd please take your seats, I have an announcement to make!" Celestia said gleefully, walking over to the desk in the front of the room. As the students took their seats, Celestia continued. "As you all know, Mr. Turner has retired, and you are without a teacher. Fortunately, we were able to find a temporary substitute, who has all the same qualifications as your former teacher. May I introduce, Doctor John Smith!" And, a man entered, wearing a light blue shirt, tan tweed jacket, and crimson bracers and bowtie. "Hello everyone!" The Doctor exclaimed gleefully, waltzing over to where Celestia was standing. "It's so good to see you all!" Celestia smiled broadly, as Sunset sat there with her mouth agape. "Dr. Smith is the perfect teacher to take over for Mr. Turner." She turned to the Doctor. "I've set the current curriculum handbook on the desk, so, you can just continue where Mr. Turner left off." With one last grin, Celestia left, and the Doctor leaped over the desk, and grabbed a piece of chalk and wrote physics on the board. "Right then, physics! Physics, physics, physics! So, you have all done physics before, am I right?" No one moved. "Come one, if you've done physics before, raise your hands." The Doctor instructed. No one raised they're hand. "Really? Was this teacher a nutcase?" The Doctor asked, and opened the curriculum handbook. "Oh, that's why, you're in biology at the moment, I thought that you'd be in physics by now. Oh, you know what?" The Doctor closed the curriculum handbook, and threw it behind him. "Screw the handbook. We're doing physics." A student raised her hand. "Yes, you with the red hair." The Doctor said, pointing to her. "Blimey, that is red hair, and I don't mean gingers, I literally mean you have red hair. Sorry, I'm rambling. What's your name?" "Roseluck." The red-haired girl said. "The thing is, well, we don't have physics until next quarter. Shouldn't we wait until then?" The Doctor smiled. "Roseluck, are you aware of the Aralias Theory?" "No." Roseluck said, shaking her head. "The theory states that you do the difficult things first, and get them out of the way, so you can do the simpler stuff later." The Doctor explained. "That way, you can simply have it easier as time progresses. So, that what we're going to do. Any questions?" No one raised their hand. "Right then, physics!" For the next hour, the Doctor kept babbling about physics. Once the hour ended, and school was out, Sunset stayed. "You became a teacher?" She asked, as the Doctor reopened The Time Machine. "I saw there was an opening." the Doctor explained, "I figured, 'what the hell' and I went to Principal Celestia's office this morning and applied." "Why?" Sunset asked, slinging her backpack over her shoulder. "You gotta live in the moment." The Doctor said. "So, nothing's going on?" Sunset asked. "Not that I know of." The Doctor looked at Sunset through his glasses. "Besides, this way I can watch the Friendship Games." "Okay." Sunset said, smiling. "Well, it'll be good to have you. Wait, are you on the team?" The Doctor chuckled. "Of course I'm not on the team. It's for students only. But, I can be a coach." Sunset smiled. "You? A coach?" "Of course." The Doctor grinned, "I can be a coach. It's relatively simple, isn't it?" "I believe so." Sunset said. "I took a Sports Officiating class last year, and it was relatively simple." "Good." The Doctor said. "Any idea what the events are?" "No." Sunset said. "They haven't even shown us the field yet. It makes it difficult to practice when you don't know what to practice for." The Doctor stood up, and took off his glasses, placing them back in his jacket pocket. "Well, as long as it isn't archery. I'm rubbish at that." Sunset smiled. "Well, I guess I'll see you later." Sunset waved good-bye and proceeded towards the door. "Oh, Sunset, do you have any idea where Adagio is?" The Doctor asked, stopping Sunset. "She was supposed to be in this last class, but wasn't here, and was here for her previous classes, but, she hasn't been seen since the pep rally." "No, I haven't seen her." Sunset replied. "Although, she did get into an argument with Vice Principal Luna afterwards." "Yes, I was there." The Doctor said. "I had a nice chat with Luna afterwards." Sunset cocked her head to the side. "Chat?" Luna, may I have a chat with you?" The Doctor asked, dragging Luna away from Adagio. Luna said one last thing before turning to the Doctor. "Yes, Dr. Smith, what can I do for you?" Luna asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "Do you have any idea what you just said to Adagio?" The Doctor asked, his arms folded over his chest. "I just told her the truth, Dr. Smith." Luna said. "Is there something wrong with that?" "There is everything wrong with that." The Doctor explained. "Do you have any idea what you just did? What you just did to Adagio?" "I did nothing wrong, Dr. Smith." Luna said, and began walking away. "If you'll excuse me, Doctor." The Doctor grabbed Luna's arm, stopping her. "Remove you hand, Dr. Smith." "Luna, you just drove Adagio to tears." The Doctor explained. "She's trying to change, and yes, she has a bit of an attitude, but, she's trying to become a better person, and you won't let her forget her past. Is this how you treated Sunset Shimmer after the Fall Formal?" Luna eyed the Doctor. "How do you know about the Fall Formal? You were not employed to us until today." "Listen, that isn't important." The Doctor said. "What is important is right here, right now. Now, I know you, whether you know me or not, never mind how, but, the Luna I know wouldn't talk like that. What is bugging you?" Luna pulled her arm away from the Doctor. "Why do you care about this so much, Dr. Smith?" "Because, I care about you." The Doctor explained. Luna pursed her lips "It's Time-Mr. Turner. The teacher you replaced. We had a...relationship. I thought it was important to him; I was wrong." "So, that's what this is about." The Doctor said, bowing his head. He looked up at Luna, and noticed tears developing in her eyes. "Hey, listen, I know he must've been important to you, but, you have to get over it. Taking your anger out on someone else won't solve anything. If you need anyone to talk to, you know where to find me." The Doctor smiled. Luna smiled softly. "Thank you, Dr. Smith." Luna said, gratefully, "It's odd, I've never met you before today, and yet, I feel like I've known you for a long time." The Doctor smiled back. "You have, you probably just don't remember. Trust me, I'm a Doctor." "A Doctor of what?" Luna asked. "A lot of things." The Doctor replied. "Good day, Luna." The Doctor bowed slightly, and turned and walked away. "Dr. Smith?" Luna asked, causing the Doctor to look back. "I would appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone about the details of this conversation." The Doctor smiled. "Of course Luna. Doctor, patient confidentiality." And, with that, the Doctor walked off, leaving Luna alone. "What did the conversation consist of?" Sunset asked. "Oh, nothing." The Doctor said. "So, what should we do?" "I don't know." Sunset said. "I don't know it is then!" The Doctor said, gleefully. "Come on, let's find your friends and do something." Cyber EncounterMusky. That was how the janitors closet felt. It was old, and moldy, and there were cobwebs in the corners on the room. And, Adagio's tears weren't helping either, as they had created a tiny puddle under her face. She wasn't sure how long she'd been there, but the tears kept flowing. Why was she crying? She never dried before. Before, if Luna had spoken to her like that, Adagio would've done two things. 1: Slap her across the cheek, and 2: Use her magic to charm her into embarrassing herself. But, Adagio didn't have her magic, as her new jewel had yet to finish growing. Instead, it was just a plant growing on the side of the school. But, it hadn't even occurred to her to try and hurt Luna. Was she trying to change? Her mind said yes, her heart was unsure. If she thought someone was wrong, she'd make them know it. But, what if someone did her wrong? She continued sobbing. The puddle under her grew, and she stayed in the closet, curled up, with her head in between her legs. Then she heard a loud noise, like a banging. She looked up, and wiped the tears from her face. There was a shadow of a man in the corner. "Is someone there?" Adagio asked, wiping away the sorrow in her tone. She slowly walked towards the silhouette. "Are you okay?" The man slowly stepped into the light, revealing the metal surrounding his body. "You will be deleted." Adagio screamed. "What was that!?" The Doctor asked, whipping around towards the source of the sound. "It sounded like something crashed." Twilight said. Then there was a scream. The Doctor took off, following the source of the scream, the seven girls following him. There was a massive road block in the hallway, and the Doctor spotted Adagio rushing through the crowd, shoving students out of her way, making her way towards the Doctor's position. The Doctor stopped, and Adagio all but collided with him. "Metal...man...closet..." She gasped between breaths. "Hold on, hold on, slow down!" The Doctor shouted, grabbing Adagio by the shoulders. "What exactly did you see?" By now the seven girls were standing alongside the Doctor, and Adagio whipped around and pointed in front of her. "That!" There was a metal man shoving students out of it's way, making it's way to the Doctor and his friends. "Cyberman!" The Doctor shouted, "Get down!" He pulled the girls into the art wing, just as a red laser bolt shot past them. "What the hell is that!?" Rainbow Dash asked, as a crowd of students rushed past them. "A Cyberman!" the Doctor answered, "sort of a half-human, half-robot thing! But, how did it get here?" "Never mind that, how do we stop it?!" Adagio shouted. "Let's see, we're in a school..." The Doctor pondered, "Is there anything we can drop on it? Something heavy?" "Like what?!" Rainbow shouted. "I don't know!" The Doctor shouted back, "What do you drop on a bullet-proof metal man?!" A laser bolt whizzed past the Doctor's ear. "I got it!" the Doctor shouted. "Lure it into the gym!" "And how do we do that?" Applejack shouted. "Just do as I do!" The Doctor shouted. He turned and ran into the hallway, stopped, arms and legs spread out, and shouted, "Look at me I'm a target!!!" He ducked behind a staircase, as several red laser bolts tried to hit him. "You want us to do that?!" Sunset shouted. "Don't worry! It's only got one laser arm!" The Doctor shouted. "Just stall it for a few minutes, and get it into the gym!" The Doctor ran off, leaving the six girls alone. "He's insane!" Rarity shouted. "Very much so!" Sunset shouted. She straitened her jacket, and said, "Oh, Geronimo!" And, she ran into the hallway, heading towards the gym, laser bolts streaming past her. Within the next few minutes, each of the girls had made their way to the gym, all except Twilight. "Oh, why am I the last one?" Twilight asked herself. The Cyberman was very close now. Twilight had died once before, se really didn't want to again. She whipped around the corner, and ran out, laser bolts streaming past her. The Cyberman chased her, as she bolted for the gym. She entered the gym, and ran it. The Doctor and the others were standing at the end of it. Twilight ran toward them, and the Cyberman entered. The Doctor had his screwdriver drawn, and stepped forward to face the Cyberman. "You will be assimilated." The Cyberman said, raising it's arm. "Sorry, but, I'm not exactly compatible." the Doctor held his screwdriver in the air, and pressed the button, as the sound of the screwdriver filled the room. The Cyberman's arm was raised, and it's laser gun had been drawn out of his arm. But, before the Cyberman could fire, a supporting beam from the ceiling fell down, and collapsed directly on the Cyberman's head, crushing it, and causing the Cyberman to topple the floor, as blue liquid leaked onto the floor. The Doctor walked over to the Cyberman, while the girls cheered, all except Twilight, who examined the Cyberman too. "How did this get here?" The Doctor asked himself. "This is an older model of Cyberman. Look at the chest plate, it still has the Cybus Industries logo. The new ones have a glowing blue light." "What if there's more of them?" Twilight asked. "Not likely." The Doctor said. "According to Adagio, it just showed up in the closet she was in. Cybermen don't come alone, they always travel in packs. This one is alone. But, how did it get here?" The Doctor reached into his pocket, and put on a pair of 3D glasses. "Hm..." "What is it?" Twilight asked. "Well-" "What is going on here?!" A voice shouted from the gym entrance. The Doctor stood up, and saw Principal Celestia, with a deep scowl on her face, and her hands on her hips. She looked at the Doctor. "Dr. Smith, would you like to explain why there's a huge disaster in the middle of the gym?" The Doctor stepped forward. "Sorry about the mess." the Doctor said, "but, you had a cybernetic man trying to kill your students, so I, with the help of these students here, lured it into the gym, and unscrewed one of the beams from the ceiling and had the beam fall onto the metal man smashing it's head." Celestia looked at the ceiling. "How did you unscrew it?" "With a screwdriver, what else?" The Doctor said, rubbing his hands together. Celestia rubbed her forehead. "I don't have time for this. We need to get this place cleaned up quickly. Within an hour, at most. Dr. Smith, could you handle it?" "Of course!" The Doctor said, nodding. "Pinkie Pie!" Celestia shouted, and Pinkie hopped up to her. "Pinkie, do you think you could get this place decorated before tomorrow?" "I know I can!" Pinkie said, gleefully. "Good. You need to hurry. Will the rest of you come here?" Celestia asked, and the other six girls walked up to her. "Yes, Principal Celestia?" Sunset asked. "We need to bring concessions tomorrow, for both the Wondercolts, and the Shadowbolts." Celestia explained. "I'd like each of you to bring something. Twilight, Sunset, Applejack, I'd like each of you to bring the main course. Bring several, as we don't know if any of the Shadowbolts are vegetarians." "You can count on us." Sunset said. "Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, I'd like you three to bring snacks. Potato chips, small sandwiches, thing among those lines." "You got it!" Rainbow Dash said with confidence. "Good. Pinkie Pie, Adagio, I'd like you two to work on dessert. I believe that will be no issue?" "None at all!" Pinkie said, happily, "I love baking!" "Dr. Smith, if you could bring something as well, it would be helpful." Celestia said, breaking the Doctor out of his concentration. "What? Oh, yes, I was just thinking of something to bring!" The Doctor said, grinning. "Good. Now get started, you're on the clock." Celestia nodded, and walked off. The Doctor whipped around. "Okay, here's what I need: A large rubbish bin-" "Five streamer rolls," Pinkie Pie added. "The Football Team-" "The Banners that were made-" "A mop-" "Twenty packs of balloons-" "A bucket of water-" "Some markers-" "Twelve Jammie Dodgers-" "Five bottles of glue-" "And a fez." The Doctor finished. Everyone stared at him and Pinkie. "Well, go on, get started, we're on the clock!" Everyone rushed to grab the set items, but the Doctor stopped Adagio. "I need to see the closet where you saw the Cyberman." Void Stuff"This is where I saw it." Adagio said, opening the door of the closet. The Doctor entered, and pulled out his screwdriver scanning the room. He flicked open his screwdriver, and read the readings. He walked over to a corner, kneeled down, and scanned it. "Is this where you saw the Cyberman first?" "Yeah." Adagio said, kneeling beside the Doctor. "It just appeared. One second it wasn't there, and the other second, it was." "There's an unusual amount of Artron Energy here." The Doctor said, checking his readings. "Artron Energy?" Adagio asked. "It's kind of like radiation." the Doctor explained, "Those who travel through the Time Vortex absorb Artron energy in the form of background radiation. Harmless stuff, but, when there's too much of it, it can be disastrous. Only in the TARDIS is it truly safe." "There's a lot here, but not enough to cause an issue. It's just residual energy from the Cyberman. It's possible that this Cyberman was filled with a unusual amount of energy, and was teleported across time and space to here." The Doctor reached into his pocket, and pulled in his 3D glasses. "What're those for?" Adagio asked. "They detect void stuff." The Doctor took off the glasses and handed them to Adagio. Adagio put them on, and looked at the corner, and saw a lot of green dots, floating around. "What is..." "You see?" The Doctor said, "Void stuff. It's like background radiation. If you've been through the void, it's around you." She looked at the Doctor. "You have it too." "Yeah, it was a while back, but, yes, I've been through the void. A few times." The Doctor said. "So has Twilight, but, not the rest of you." "So, the Cyberman was through the void?" Adagio asked. "It would seem that way." The Doctor said. "I'm guessing it's one I defeated earlier, back in 2007." The Doctor stood up, "But, it would seem to be the only one. Small accident, that's all. Everything should be fine now." The Doctor turned around, and saw Adagio standing unusually close to him, cornering him. "What're you doing?" "Seizing the moment." Adagio replied. The Doctor shifted uncomfortably, and leaned back, trying to get away from Adagio. He looked at his feet, and saw blue electricity cackling around them. "Oh no." "What?" Adagio asked. "Get back!" The Doctor shouted, pushing Adagio away. "What the hell-" "The Artron Energy is combining with the Void Stuff!" The Doctor panicked, as the electricity turned green, and travelled up the Doctor's waist, "I'm going to be teleported to another place in time and space!" "How do I stop it?!" Adagio shouted, panicked. "You can't!" The Doctor said, fear in his eyes, "But, you can get me back!" "How?!" Adagio shouted. "Twilight can do it!" the electricity was now around the Doctor's entire body, "Tell her she can follow the signature by reversing the feedback loop of the-" There was a bright white light, and Adagio was knocked to the ground. She rubbed her eyes, and looked at where the Doctor was standing. "Doctor!? Doctor, where are you?!" The Doctor slammed onto the floor, with a loud bang. "Time tunnel." The Doctor examined his surroundings. He was in a similar closet, but, the coloring was different. And, there was some machinery around, and a large diagram on the wall. It was covered with papers, and photos, and red string all leading up to one thing: Canterlot High School. "Hm..." The Doctor said, running his hands along the string. He looked around. There was a lot of different hand-held devices on the desk, and several more photos. "Let's see..." The Doctor peeked into the hallway. They were dark colors. Purple, green, it was actually kind of ugly. The bell rang. "Oh no." The Doctor slipped back into the room, as he heard several footsteps. He heard someone fiddling with the doorknob, and dove into a corner. The door opened, and closed again. "Let's see..." a girl's voice said. A voice the Doctor recognized. "If I'm right, I should be able to figure out what's going on! But, I'll need to check the school before the Friendship Games next week..." Next week? the Doctor thought, I thought they were tomorrow? "I might have to take a bus there." The girl concluded. The Doctor heard her raveling through papers, and decied it was time to slip out. He tip-toed to the door, trying to avoid being spotted by the girl. Then, the floor under his foot squeaked. the girl whipped around. "Hey! Who-who are you?!" The Doctor got a good look at her. She wore a Crystal Prep uniform, but, had lavender skin, violet eyes cover by think glasses, and blue hair, neatly tied up in a bun. The Doctor narrowed his eyes. "Twilight?" Twilight's face turned from fearful, to shocked. Lost in Space and TimeAdagio rushed into the gym, stopping just in front of Sunset and Twilight. Pinkie was already decorating the gym, and the Cyberman bits were being cleaned up. "Adagio, are you okay? You look pale." Sunset said. "We have a problem." Adagio said. "What kind of problem?" Twilight asked. "The Doctor. He's gone." Sunset's eyes widened. "What?" "Twilight, is that you?" The Doctor said, his hopes raising. "How do you know me?" Twilight asked, covering her notes. "It's me. The Doctor." The Doctor said. "Don't you remember me?" Twilight stepped back. "I've never seen you before in my life." "What?" The Doctor said. "Hold on, I heard you say the Friendship Games are in a week, correct?" Twilight debated answering. "Um...yes?" "So, if they're tomorrow, but yet they're a week ahead, and you should be at CHS by now so..." The Doctor rubbed his chin. "Oh, of course!" He shouted catching Twilight by surprise, "This isn't just another time, it's another universe. The Artron Energy combined with the Void Energy, and cause be to travel to the void, so, I travelled to a parallel universe, where everything is similar, but, different. No wonder you don't know me." Twilight simply stood there. She had absolutely no idea what to think of this strange man, who apparently knew her. "Okay...who are you?" "I'm the Doctor." The Doctor explained, grinning. "I am the oncoming storm, the bringer of darkness, and my home is another world. And, right now, you're the only one who can help me get back." Twilight adjusted her glasses. "Right, um, I'm just gonna go see Principal-" "No!" The Doctor shouted, pleading. "Please, I'm trapped here, from another universe, and I need your brains to help me get back. Help me Twilight Sparkle, you're my only hope." The Doctor chuckled at his reference. Twilight licked her lips. "Why me?" "It's your closet." The Doctor said. "Plus, I know you, and know your brain power, and, between the two of us, I think we can send me back." Twilight looked up at him. "How do I know I can trust you?" "You don't." The Doctor admitted. "But, I know, deep down, you feel like you trust me, because, your mirror universe counterpart knows me, and trusts me. If you don't trust me, let her trust me. I need your help, Twilight." Twilight straightened her tie. "What do you want me to do?" "First, we need to find a way to send them a message." The Doctor said, and scanned the corner he appeared in. "There's still a massive amount of energy here, we might be able to send them a message, but, it can't be anything tangible. We need to use sound waves, or something fights, and our voices won't work. It's a too complicated pattern, but, something simple might be able to go through." Twilight was already on it. "I think I have something." She pulled on a new tab on her computer. The Doctor skipped over, and looked at the tab. "Oh, you are brilliant, you are." He kissed her forehead, and grabbed the keyboard, and began typing. "Let's send them a message." "Are you sure this is where you last saw him?" Twilight asked, scanning the area with her magimeter. "Definitely." Adagio replied. "He said you could save him by reversing the feedback loop of something. He disappeared before he could finish." "Well, I am detecting energy," Twilight explained, standing up, examining her readings, "It's kind of like static electricity, but, more tangible, and there's a large amount of it here. But, what was that other stuff you mentioned? Void Stuff?" "Yeah," Adagio confirmed, reaching into her pocket and pulling out the Doctor's 3D glasses, "Here, look through these." Twilight took them, and placed them over her regular glasses, and looked into the corner. "Whoa..." She said, "There's a lot here." Adagio scratched her head. "So, happened to him." "Judging by these readings," Twilight explained, "I'm guessing the Doctor was sent to another point in time and space, where's he trapped. Being here, there's not much we can do for him, at least not that I know of. However, wherever, and whenever he is, there's the same, if not equal amount of Artron Energy and Void Stuff there." "So, why doesn't he just walk back into the energy, and come back here?" Adagio asked. "It doesn't work that way." Twilight explained, "From what these readings tell me, this energy teleported the Doctor to a random place. While there is an trace of the previous journey left, it's more just an after image than anything. The only way to travel back here using the energy is by stimulating that exact part of the energy. It's a mish-mash of different times and places, and unless we can pick out that exact one, we can't help him." "So, what do we do?" Sunset asked. "Nothing." Twilight said. "There's nothing we can do." Both Sunset's and Adagio's head sank, but, Sunset heard something. It was a low beeping. "Anyone else hear that?" Twilight perked up. "It sounds like...beeping." "Where's it coming from?" Adagio asked. Twilight raised her magimeter, and scanned the area. "That corner, where the energy is." "What is it?" Sunset asked. "It sounds like...Morse Code." Twilight said. "Oh, perfect!" Twilight exclaimed, and ran out of the room, coming back with her laptop, and a microphone connected to it. "What are you doing?" Sunset asked. "If that's Morse Code, than it could be from the Doctor." Twilight said, setting up the microphone, "If he can send a message to us, and we respond, than maybe, just maybe, we can bring him home." Rescuing the Doctor"Okay, I've got most of the message." Twilight said. "Well, let's hear it." Adagio said. "Okay, here goes: It is the Doctor. I need your help. I am trapped in a parellel universe, but, don't worry, I've convinced this universe's Twilight to help me. Here's what you need to do: reverse the feedback loop of the time tunnel by reversing the polarity of the Artron flow. We are doing the same here. If we do that at the same time, a portal will open, and I can come back. You will have to use the TARDIS. It won't want to come here willingly, so you'll have to persuade her. Use the TARDIS voice-visual interface. That's about it." Twilight finished. "So, you know what to do?" Adagio asked. "Yep. Sunset, you get to the TARDIS, and figure out how to get it into the portal." Twilight said. "I'll send a message to the Doctor, telling him we got his message, and when we'll start." Sunset raised an eyebrow. "When will we start?" "One hour." The Doctor finished. "So, we have everything set up, and now we simply have to wait." Twilight was sitting on a desk a few feet away. The Doctor stood up and joined her. "Why are you here?" "I go to school here." Twilight replied. "No, I mean why are you here. As in this closet, and why is there a huge diagram on the wall?" The Doctor asked. Twilight sighed. "I think there's something going on at Canterlot High. There's been strange occurrences going on, and I'm trying ot figure it out." "And, the Friendship Games?" The Doctor asked. "They're the perfect opportunity to figure out what's going on there. That's why I joined the team." Twilight explained. "Well, I think, that you'll understand what's going on." The Doctor said. "Really?" Twilight asked. "Quite certain." The Doctor explained. "You see, in my universe, I already know you, and know everything about you. It's a scary thought, but, it is true." "It is creepy." Twilight admitted. "So, I know you? How did we meet?" "Oh, it's a long story." The Doctor said, "But, needless to say, we became good friends." "Oh." Twilight said. "Am I as obsessed with Canterlot High as I am now?" "You were." The Doctor said, "But, once you solved the mystery, you changed, and you actually transferred to CHS." "Really?" Twilight asked, "Why would I do that?" The Doctor smiled. "You made friends." Twilight looked down. "I don't have friends." "Oh, but, you will." The Doctor assured, "Everyone makes friends. It takes time, but, you'll make friends. You'll find someone who loves you for who you are, and wants to be with you. Trust me, Twilight, you will make friends." Twilight looked up. "Thanks. Did you rehearse that, or did you make it up as you went along?" "As I went along." The Doctor said, "But, I do it, brilliantly." Sunset entered the TARDIS, and walked over to the console. "Let's see... I need the voice interface..." "Voice interface enabled." A voice off to the side said. Sunset looked over and saw the Doctor standing there, or, rather his previous incarnation. He stood straight, in his brown suit, staring at Sunset. "Wait, why do you look like that?" Sunset asked. "I'm programmed to select the image of a person you esteem." The Holo-Doctor said. "Of several billion such images in my database, this image best meets the criterion." "Okay, that makes sense." Sunset said, though she was surprised it was the previous Doctor. "Okay, listen, in about ten minutes, we need to take a slight trip to a parallel universe." "Unable to comply." The Holo-Doctor said. "Why?" "The entrance would drain the energy from my heart," The Holo-Doctor explained, "In four seconds I'd be stranded. In ten, I'd be dead." "Listen, it's this or never see the Doctor again, take your pick." Sunset said. "Very well." The Holo-Doctor said, giving in. "I'm giving you control access, but, know this: After three seconds in the parallel universe, I will return here, with, or without the Doctor." "Got it." Sunset replied. As the hologram disappeared, she pulled out her phone and called Twilight. "We're ready." "We're?" "Yeah." Sunset replied. "The TARDIS and I." "Whatever, we're ready on this end. I'll send the Doctor a signal. I'll signal you when ready." "Okay, got it." Sunset replied. "We're ready." The Doctor said, reading the new message. "Signal us back. Sending signal...now!" "He's ready!" Twilight shouted. "Reversing polarity-" "Now!" The Doctor shouted, and a portal opened in the corner of the closet. Wind blew out of it, slightly bowing Twilight and the Doctor back, as white light poured out of it. Sunset pulled the lever and the TARDIS dematerialized. The Doctor grabbed Twilight by the shoulders. "Twilight, listen, you need to forget me!" The Doctor shouted. "You can't remember anything about me!" "What?!" Twilight shouted, "What not!?" "Because it could alter the course of action in this universe! You need to forget it ever happened; that you ever met me!" "But, I don't want to!" Twilight shouted. The Doctor heard the TARDIS dematerializing. "Oh, I didn't want to do this..." He slammed his head against Twilight's knocking both of them back. The Doctor recoiled in pain, and whipped out his screwdriver, and erased the computer's memory. He stumbled over to the materializing TARDIS, and grabbed the side, just the TARDIS dematerialized. The TARDIS landed in the closet, just as Twilight closed the portal. The Doctor stumbled off it, and Sunset exited the TARDIS. "Are you okay?" Twilight asked, looking at the Doctor. His clothes were dirty, and needed washing. "I'm fine, just some back pain, that's all." The Doctor said, cracking his back. "The TARDIS can absorb the residual Artron Energy here. We should be safe." The Doctor looked at his clothes. "Blimey, I need to change." "What about that universe's Twilight?" Sunset asked. "I erased her computer history, and implanted the idea in her head that everything was just a dream. She'll be fine." Twilight woke up, her back and head in pain. She looked around. Her closet was trashed. She wasn't sure how, or when, but, she needed to fix it. She apparently dosed off. After all, a mysterious doctor in a bowtie, popping up from nowhere, claiming to be from another universe? She needed some Tylenol. SuspectingThe Doctor exited the TARDIS wearing all new clothes. He wore a white shirt, blue bowtie, and green trench coat. “Still no purple coat?” Sunset asked. “It was just lying around.” The Doctor said, jesting to the green coat. “Besides, I’m cold.” He shoved his hands in the coat pockets, and began walking toward the school. “We’ve fixed the portal issue, and now have to work on the Friendship Games.” “We’re still gonna work on that?” Sunset asked. “Yep.” The Doctor said, wagging a finger at her, “It may not be an alien invasion, but, if Amy taught me one thing, it’s that real life is important too.” “Okay, let’s see the progress.” Sunset said, as the two proceeded towards the school. “Whoa…” the Doctor said, upon entering the gym. Pinkie Pie had finished putting up the decorations, and the girls were setting up the table where the food would go. “Well, it looks almost done!” The Doctor said excitedly, walking up to them. “It’s a work in progress.” Rainbow Dash said. “Although, getting setting everything up was a little more difficult when four of you disappear.” Sunset looked over to Twilight. “You didn’t tell them?” “I thought they’d get worried, and stop working.” Twilight replied, shrugging her shoulders. “Wait, what happened?” Rarity asked. “I got teleported into a parallel universe, and might’ve been stuck there forever, but, I’m okay now, so, let’s all forget about that!” The Doctor clapped his hands together excitedly. “Right then, we have to get cooking! Let’s start!” “Wait, you got trapped in another universe?!” Applejack shouted. “I said let’s forget about that.” The Doctor said, “Come on, we need food for tomorrow, so, let’s go home, and cook food!” Twilight was still living with Sunset. In fact, Twilight had completely made the spare room her own, whilst the Doctor has bunked on the couch. He was helping them cook. Applejack had gone home to cook, while the rest of the eight girls were off cooking something else. “With the games tomorrow, I’m a bit worried.” Sunset said, mixing some batter. Her leather jacket was hung up. “How so?” The Doctor asked. He was still wearing his green coat, but was busy enhancing the oven with his screwdriver. “Well, it’s just, first Rainbow was able to pony up without her guitar, then the portal sending you to another universe,” Sunset explained, “I have a feeling that there’s something coming. A magical disaster.” “Why would you think that?” Twilight asked. “Well, remember that day before Christmas, when we all had nightmares?” Sunset asked. Twilight shuddered. “I can’t forget.” “Well, remember the dream you had Twilight?” Sunset asked. “Yeah…” “Well, it seemed to be connected with reality.” Sunset said, “You ended up in the Void, but, came back. And, when we found you in eighteen eighty-four, there was a man there who was causing splits in reality. What if something similar is happening now?” “It’s a possibility…” The Doctor wondered, “Although, the dream I had was with my past incarnation, and he was in it, not me.” “What if,” Sunset speculated, “It was only part of a dream? Like déjà vu. Maybe it was a prediction of the future, not the full thing. Or, only a glimpse, rather than the entire thing.” "I suppose it is a possibility..." Twilight began. "And, if it's true, then we're in for trouble." The Doctor said, standing up, "We need to be extremely careful. The universe has been very odd lately, more odd than usual. Twilight came back, from the void, which is near impossible. Let alone everything else that has been happening. Twilight, do you happen to have a magical scanner?" "I do, but, it's not great." Twilight explained, "You see, it can detect major magical occurrences, but not minor ones." "No, that's not what I was questioning." The Doctor clarified, "I'm thinking I might be able to hook it up to the TARDIS and scan for magic. I could maybe even connect it to my sonic screwdriver." "You probably could." Twilight said. "Right, good, do you have it?" The Doctor asked, rubbing his hands together. "No, it's at school." Twilight said, which caused the Doctor's energy to leave him like air blowing out of a balloon. "Oh well, I suppose we'll have to do it tomorrow." The Doctor said. "DONE!!!" Sunset shouted, pulling a fresh meatloaf out of the oven. "There we go! Oh, this will be amazing!" She said gleefully, then noticed the Doctor's and Twilight's confused looks. "Sorry," Sunset began, setting the meatloaf on the counter, and removing her oven mitts, "I just get excited whenever I make something like this." She smiled softly. Twilight placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, I do too." "Wait, what time is it?" Sunset asked, and glanced at the oven. "It's eleven-thirty! Oh my goodness, I didn't know that we had stayed up this late! We really should get some shuteye." "Yeah, probably." Twilight said. "Doctor, are you okay sleeping on the couch?" "Don't worry, it doesn't bug me any." The Doctor walked into the TARDIS, holding Twilight's magical scanner. Advantages of being a teacher. He hooked it up the TARDIS console, and activated it. He walked over to the keypad, and he starting typing. "Adding new protocol...commencing calculations." He hooked up his sonic screwdriver to the TARDIS. "Adding setting, and...done!" The Doctor unhooked the sonic screwdriver and pressed the button. "Oh, lovely." The Doctor said, admiring the new magic scanning setting on the screwdriver, looking at the bright purple light the screwdriver shone. He pressed his hand off the button, tossed it in the air, caught it, and placed it back in his jacket. "Well, we have a new setting." The Doctor said, walking toward the TARDIS entrance, "As long as the calculations are correct, everything should be fine. If they're wrong, well, the consequences would be drastic." And as he closed the door behind him, the TARDIS cloister bell rang through the time machine. Dancing on the Moon"Enter." Principal Cinch said, as the door opened. "Sit down. I bet you are wondering why I asked to see you today." Moondancer nodded. "I have a feeling I know. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Friendship Games." Cinch nodded, stood up, and began walking toward the Friendship Games trophies. "Moondancer, I'll be honest: It doesn't matter whether we win the Friendship Games or not. The important thing is that we are expected to win because Crystal Prep has a reputation." Cinch walked over to Moondancer. "And it is that reputation, my reputation, that is responsible for everything we have here. For everything you've done here. And, you've done quite a lot, haven't you?" "I'd like to think so." Moondancer replied, fiddling with a loose string from her turtleneck. "Yes, you are the best student we've seen here," Cinch complimented, "But, what I can't understand is why my best student wouldn't want to compete." "Frankly, Principal Cinch, athletics aren't really my thing. I'm not very good in them." Moondancer replied, as Cinch walked over to her with a pair of scissors. "Your grades say otherwise." Cinch said, cutting off the loose string on Moondancer's turtleneck. "After all, you are doing well in your physical education class." "Well, yes but-" "What truly matters is that you represent your school in the Games." Cinch sat down at her desk, and pulled out a think packet. "It seems Canterlot High is going through something of a renaissance. Test scores are up, grades, even athletics are on the rise. You see, they are developing somewhat of a reputation. This cannot happen." "Listen, I can't play in the Games." Moondancer explained, "My work here is very important." "Ah, yes, your work." Cinch said. "I understand you've applied to Everton, haven't you? You see, one of the advantages of having a reputation is that I have a certain amount of influence in some things. So, let me offer you a deal. In return for contributing your agile mind to these Games, I will use my reputation to make sure your application is accepted. Though, I suppose I could also have it denied. What do you think I should do?" Moondancer gulped. "I'll...I'll play in the Games." Cinch stood. "Excellent. Now then, when the Games begin, you must not let any emotional attachment to get in the way." "Emotional attachment?" Moondancer asked, confused. "Yes, I understand you have a friend who transferred there." Cinch said, "Her name was Twilight Sparkle, I believe." Moondancer frowned. "I don't have any friends." "Well, not now, since your only friend left you, for your school's biggest rival." Cinch said, her voice ice. Moondancer's face fell. "She didn't even say good-bye..." "Now what kind of friend would leave you without even saying good-bye, hm?" Cinch asked. "A very bad one." Moondancer concluded. "So, wouldn't beating her in the Friendship Games make you feel better?" Cinch asked, "After all, wouldn't Canterlot High losing to Crystal Prep make her realize that she was wrong all along?" And as Cinch spoke, the ice in her voice found it's way into Moondancer's heart.
EmergencyThe TARDIS finished dematerializing, and the Doctor ran out of, wearing a light blue shirt, red bracers and bowtie, and tan tweed jacket. Yours truly, Sour Sweet Youtube Video
Mysterious Figures"They were definitely doing something to the statue, or were going to." Sunset explained, as she and the rest were in the library.
"Come on, let's find your friends and do something."
Cyber EncounterMusky. "I need to see the closet where you saw the Cyberman."
Void Stuff"This is where I saw it." Adagio said, opening the door of the closet.
"If that's Morse Code, than it could be from the Doctor." Twilight said, setting up the microphone, "If he can send a message to us, and we respond, than maybe, just maybe, we can bring him home."
Rescuing the Doctor"Okay, I've got most of the message." Twilight said.
