//-------------------------------------------------------// If ONE Human wasn't enough.. -by GeneralFallenAngel- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The First Impact, and a Lasting Impression //-------------------------------------------------------// The First Impact, and a Lasting Impression Kahmi’s POV ~~~ Kahmi flew through the sky, his chestnut brown hair flipping all around. His golden yellow eyes were narrowed while he took off at great speeds, and his black feathered wings were pumping hard. He had planned on doing some barrel rolls and flips, Until… Wait, What is that?... he thought with great confusion. A giant purple portal had opened up in the middle of his flight path. He moved to dodge away from it, but he was going too fast and it was too large to dodge. He felt tingly as the portal touched him for a split second, then he saw nothing but purple and a whirling motion overtook him, giving him a nauseous feeling. His eyes hurt as a sudden white light attacked his eyes, and he felt himself in a falling motion. As suddenly as it had come, the white light disappeared. He opened his eyes to see a big mountain that was getting bigger and bigger. Wait… not getting bigger… getting closer!! Turn, turn, turn, turn, tur--!! Well, shit. "BOOM" He felt nothing as he fell into the dark abyss that was a coma. Branch’s POV ~~~ Branch was in the middle of a forest, his brown hair ruffled by the cool breeze. He pulled up the hood of his camouflage jacket, scanning his surroundings carefully. Beside him was Lane, his friend and partner. His friend’s neck-length blonde hair was blown back by the breeze as they walked. They were currently working on a patrol in the Druid Wildlife Reserve to make sure there were no poachers roaming the woods. But sure enough, Branch and Lane saw three poachers, strolling around the forest with their weapons in hand. “Hey!” Branch called, starting to walk forward. “You can’t-” He was cut off when the three bolted away. Branch and Lane dashed after the three, rounding multiple corners before Branch lost Lane. “Lane?” he called out, looking around for his friend. He started to move forwards again, but the ground beneath him began to shake. What’s this, an earthquake? he thought to himself as he fought to keep his balance. Suddenly, a purple portal opened beneath him. Branch yelped as he plummeted into it, feeling very nauseous as the portal’s multiple shades of purple swirled around him wildly. All of a sudden, he tumbled back out, the purple waves being replaced by a bright blue sky. And the hard ground some hundred feet below him. He flailed in the air for a few seconds before crashing into something - or rather something crashed into him. Before he could even yell, he felt a second impact, then everything went black. Kahmi's POV ~~~ As his eyes fluttered open, Kahmi could tell he was in a dream. He had always known when he had a dream, because even though they were rare, he was always a lucid dreamer. But this was different: he could not feel the dream bend to his will, and a sight worried him to no end A dark cloud off in the distance, which would not usually worry him, somehow made him feel uneasy. Small, purple eyes, the same shade of the portal, opened from the cloud and gave him a piercing stare. His eyes opened wide as a small whisper was heard, even though it was quite clear to hear. "You're not welcome here.” Suddenly, a young man's voice filled his dream, one that sounded urgent. "Sir!... Sir...!" A blinding white light filled his vision, as the cloud disappeared from view and he was jolted back into reality. Branch’s POV ~~~ “Sir!” Branch called quietly once more as he looked down at the man. “Are you alright?” The man's eyes fluttered open, and the golden yellow orbs that scanned around him were wide open. He quickly got up in a panic, and backed away quickly from the Human. “I won’t hurt you, sir!” Branch assured the strange winged man. “May I know your name?” The winged man's head tilted in surprise, but told him anyway. “Kahmi," was the only thing he said. Branch nodded. “I'm Branch.” He slowly walked up to Kahmi before looking around them at their surroundings, a shiver running down his spine. “Do you know where we currently are?” Kahmi looked around, then looked back at Branch. "No." Branch looked at Kahmi, before asking himself out loud, “Where’s Lane?” Kahmi eyed him, and surprisingly answered. "Castle, Branch." “Castle? What castle?” Lane’s POV ~~~ “Oh shit, oh shit, oh no NO NO--!” he exclaimed as he fell through the air, falling through the roof of a huge castle and landing on solid ground, knocking the wind out of him as he passed out. His vision was very blurry, and he heard a loud high-pitched ringing in his ears as he tried to regain his sight. Once he did, he was met with a petrifying sight. Staring at him were two horses with horns and wings, alicorn mares (he had assumed): one large and confused white one, and another dark blue one in a defensive stance. Lane was frozen in fear, looking at the two. The guards had already gathered in front of the throne, spears and swords already pointed at him. Their eyes betrayed their fear, as they were all as wide as dinner plates, yet they still put their bodies in front of the two. " 'Tia, what is the meaning of this?" The blue one asked hesitantly. His eyes widened, It talked... How much alcohol did I have last night? "Honestly, I have no idea, Luna." The larger white one replied. He decided to inquire about that later, right now, he needed to stay alive. Lane got up as slowly as possible, as to not startle them into poking him to death. He slowly raised up his arms in defeat, he was not about to go resisting, since the ones with horns could probably turn him into dust at the bat of an eye. One of these said unicorns lit up their horns, and he closed his eyes. Well, he was about to for at the hand ~ hooves? Of a unicorn. That would crack Branch up, Oh well. He felt something try to take control of him, but resisted it. He waited for his end, but after a while he opened his eyes. The same unicorn had just fell to the ground, it's horn sparking a few times, before giving out. The unicorn groaned, and pitifully whimpered. The others were too stunned to notice him running towards the door. SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT! Lane had knew where that was gonna go, and he wanted to keep his head upon his shoulders. He weaved through the stunned Maids and Waiters.
