Chapter 1: The Elements

Eight years have now past, Princess Celestia is now living in the Crystal Empire, doing research on the fragment, while Princess Luna decided to be with her foals living in the town True Heart, it had been founded on the believe of love and kindness, by it mayor Golden William, who was once a prince Alicorn of the Crystal Empire, but after falling in love with a pink pegasus name Aria, he gave up his title and his Alicorn statues to be with Aria.

Luna had live in this town with her two foal a small gray male unicorn with a short blue mane, named Bold Umbra, and a lavender female unicorn with a long dark blue mane named Twililly Moonlight.

This was a good day for Celestia, she had finally found a way to stop Discord without harming him, and it was the Elements of Harmony, but she did not know where they were, so she sent a letter to Luna, that she had found a way to stop Discord.

Luna arrive at the Crystal Empire. As she walked to place where Celestia was staying, she felt uneasy, this place had too many things that remind her dead fiancé Sir Rex Umbra. Eight years had passed since he died, she never fell in love ever again, and although she had a few possible suiters afterward, but none of them could replace Rex.

As she walked to the main Castle, there Luna was greeted by Celestia’s most loyal personnel guard, SunFire, a yellow male unicorn with a red and yellow mane,

“Princess Luna, Princess Celestia is waiting inside for you,”

“Good, less time here the Better,”

“Why, do you not like it here, Princess Luna?”

“No I don’t like here, because there are too many Gems here that remind me of what I lost eight years ago,”

“You mean Sir Rex,”

“Yes!!!!” Luna stated in an anger voice.

“I am sorry Princess I did not mean to anger you,”

Taking a deep breathe Luna and halted her anger, “It is okay,”

“I did not mean to over step, I just never met Sir Rex, I joined the guard duties after he died, I heard the stories of how he was your fiancé, and dead protecting you, and how he defeat the Infamous demon Redsting Blacklist”

“Yes he did, and yes…. I do still miss him. Now take to my sister,”

“Yes, Princess Luna”

As Princess Luna walk, into the Throne room of her uncle King Emerald Teal the Duke, of the Crystal Empire, she saw her sister pleading with the King,

“I demand you tell me what the story of the Elements of Harmony is, and where are they,”

“You Father set it down long time that both his daughters had to be present, in order for me to tell you what they are,”

“Well, is this what you call me for, a story?”

“Yes now that both of you are here, I can tell you.”

“As you know a millennium ago when you were foals, the CalaVoss War going on. It was a war that cost live of many Alicorn, including your Grandmother. It had started by a Dark Alicorn army that believe they were the Superior Race, they were led by their leader Kray Depression father of Morpheus, and Chrysalis. The war itself was never originally called the CalaVoss war, but others would come to call it that after the slaughter that happen during it that would lead to it end. Kray Depression had released an million year old demon satyr named CalaVoss, which by the end of the war had killed and stole the souls of over ten thousand Alicorn, unicorns, earth ponies, batponies, crystal ponies, and especially pegasi, which were it’s favorite.”

“What does a demon satyr, have to do with the Elements of Harmony,”

“The Elements of Harmony, are ten gems that were created for a sole reason, to banish evil, your Grandfather, the great King Heaveonos Nighsky use them to banish CalaVoss to the deepest pit of Tartarus,”

“There are ten, but the book said there is six elements, Loyalty, Honesty, Generosity, Laughter, Kindness, Magic,”

“Yes because six is all we ever use now, the other four are too dangerous to use,”

“Why are the other four too dangerous” Luna ask,

“Because they require more power, and have curtain risks,”

“For instants the Seventh Element, Love requires more than a thousand loving heart to power it, but when used it can a great evil in its tracks,”

“The one with the greatest risk is the Eighth Elements, Self-Sacrifice, which can bring back the dead, but at the cost of the user lifespan.”

“What?” Luna stated,

Then Luna demanded, “Why wasn’t I told about this element sooner, I could use it years ago to save Rex!!,”

“Because your Aunt Sapphire Amethyst, took the Element of Self-Sacrifice, and the last two element, Forgiveness, and Family, to another continent because she believe the me and your father no longer could represent those elements,”

“Well she was right you are a selfish pony who doesn't even care about his Nieces at all!!!”

“Luna that’s not tru—”

“No Tia it is true, because I have been mourning for Rex’s for Eight years, and the King here could of told me way to bring my beloved back years ago,”

“And let’s not forget all the reason why, because he fear that if I were to bring back Rex, then the King own Death would be the much closer, because he believe in some false Prophecy the he the King would be killed by a crystal unicorn!!!!.”

“WELL I WISH IT WERE TRUE BECAUSE AT LEAST REX WOULD BE ALIVE IN THAT STORY…….. EVEN IF MEANT YOUR DEATH, AS LONG AS MY BELOVED REX WAS ALIVE, SO I COULD HAVE SOMEONE WHO LOVES ME FOR WHO I AM, SO MY CHILDREN COULD HAVE THAT WHICH THEY ALWAYS WANTED A FATHER!!!!!!!” Luna yelled out as she left.

“Forgive my sister’s outburst my King, she has not been the same since that day,”

“Can you still tell me where the other Six Element are?”

“They are hidden deep in the Everfree Forest.”

As the sisters left the Crystal Empire the King call for his oldest son, Blood Diamond,

“Prince Blood Diamond, I want to know how goes your secret hunt for the Pieces of our Lord and Master Sir Redsting Blacklist,”

“Flawlessly my king, we have rescued every piece from the old ruins, save for one Celestia is keeping hidden,”

“Good, because now I want you to burn the ruin to the Ground,”

“Why my King,”

“To trick Luna into thinking there is no way of bring back her fiancé Rex,”

“She now knows of a way to bring him back, but what she will soon find out is that she will require his remains to do so, and need you make sure that there is no remains left for her to use,”

Meanwhile a living Corpse wonders the Ruins waiting for his love to return to him, as the dark blue Goat watches over him.

Chapter 2: The Corpse

“I need you, the foals need you,”

“No Rex, don’t go, don’t go,”

“REX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Luna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Rex’s shouted as he woke up from the dream. He look around the ruins he was worried that Discord might return, but then he saw Grogar.

“Good you’re alive,” Grogar stated to him,

“Yeah what of it, you would still bring me back from Dead, if I die again. What am I, a twist joke to you?” the Corpse replied to him.

“No!,” the goat stated as he laughed.

“Then fix my wound and let me leave these ruins so I can find Luna,” Rex demanded,

“No, not without you agreeing to my deal,”

“I will tell you the same thing I told you for last eight years, I will never agree to those terms,” Rex replied back,

“Find then I will you will just keep bleeding out, die again and then bring you back once more,”

“Damn it, then why can’t you let me stay dead, or at least heal my wounds?”

“ If I did heal you then you would run away to find Luna,”

“Of course I would run to get away from you, you demon, I would run away and go find Luna and my children,”

“Why do they matter so much to you, they all believe you’re dead?”

“Because they are my family, I care for them,”

“You don’t even know what your children even look like,”

“It does matter they are mine and I will Love them and keep safe, father’s duty is to his children, can’t you understand that,”

“Yes I actually can for I have a son of my own, but he doesn’t----“ Grogar stopped before he could finish.

"What, what is it?" Rex ask,

“Silence somepony, heading this way,” Grogar whispered as he cast a shadow spell to camouflage them. Just then a ruby colored Alicorn with platinum mane walked the ruin of the Canterlot Castle.

“It looks like Prince Blood Diamond and his royal guards have returned again,” Rex whispered.

“Why would he be here again, he already found all the pieces of Redsting Blacklist, what else could he be after,”

“Sir I just got the news that Princess Luna has token her children and left Equestria in search for the Element, meanwhile Princess Celestia has gone to the Everfree Forest in search for the other six” the guard stated to Blood Diamond,

“Good, then neither of them will see the castle ruins burning, now let get it done before Discord comes back,”

“Yes your Majesty,” the guard stated as he to lite the flames.

“Once Luna realizes that there is no way she can bring back her dead fiancé, she finally given and she right for the picking, then when the time is right I will swoop in and claim her as my wife, and I will make those Hybrid children of hers disappear,”

“Damn it, I would kill him if I could move,” Rex whispered angrily,

“Hmmm, look like I will have to accelerate my plan, if you want to stop him,” Grogar whispered as he look at Rex.

“Fine then what ever you want just help me save my family,”

“Of course, now let's go,”

“How, we are surrounded by flames,”

“Simple we go thou the Shadows,” Grogar stated as he rang his bells, and then out the Shadows rose forth his loyal zombie zebra servants, as they lifted Rex’s still bleeding body, and then all them went into the Shadows as the Canterlot Castle ruins went up in flames.

After a long journey, Princess Luna and her Children arrive in the new Continent, once there she ran into one pony she never expected to find………

Chapter 3: The New Land

As Princess Luna and her children arrived in the new land they set up camp for the day. Princess Luna’s children were always like their mother awake during the Night and sleep during the day.

After the camp was set up she set the Moon, Luna look at her children sleeping and then outside as Sun rose, “Forgive us sister but we have to bring him back no matter what the cost, for them, and for me” Luna whispered as she fell asleep.

That day she had a constantly repeating uncontrollable dream which were strange because she usually could control dream pretty well, but this dream different, it full of bugs, insects, and arachnids, and voice that sounded so familiar. But she could not remember who it belong to, just then Luna was woken up by her son Bold Umbra, “What is it son, the Sun still high in the sky,” she ask her son.

“Mother I think there is somepony here to see you,”

“Fine, go wake up your sister and I will go check it out,”

As she step outside Princess Luna noticed the whole camp was surround by Changelings,

“Who are thou what is your reason for being here,” Luna demanded,

“You will follow!!” they all stated in unison,

“We will not!” Luna replied back,

“You will follow!!” they all stated in unison again,

“What if I refuse?”

“You will follow!” “Our leader, he wish to speak to you about the Element” they all stated in unison,

“Well then, if he know about the Element, then lead the way,”

Princess Luna and her children follow the Changelings, to a Gigantic Hive, and then to its throne room, where there she finds siting on the throne a very old male Changeling with a thin long beard that could rival Starswirl’s beard in length.

“Hello my old student,” the old male Changeling stated,

“Hello King Morpheus, my old teacher,” Luna replied with a surprise look on her face.

Princess Luna knew long ago that King Morpheus, and the Changelings, were banished from Equestria, when his sister Chrysalis was found feasting the love of others.

“Morpheus is this where you were to banish to,”

“Yes, this where we banished to, when we arrived in this new land, and we were excepted with open hoofs by your Aunt Sapphire Amethyst, the ruler of this land”

“You met my Aunt here,”

“Yes she was a Generous, big heart Alicorn Ruler,”

“Was? What do you mean “was”?”

“I mean she is no longer alive,”

“What,”

“She died a few centuries ago,”

“I did not know,”

“Yes but enough of the past, you here for the Element of Self-Sacrifice,”

“Yes, but how did you know what I was looking for,”

“Princess Luna, did you forget that I am the King of Dreams,”

“Walk with me Luna, there is much for us to talk about, and don’t worry about your children, my son Dark Hornet, will keep an eye on them so they don’t wonder off”

Luna did as she was told. Luna had a lot of respect for King Morpheus, after all he trained her in magic and dream-walking, and when she was a foal, her parents were too busy trying to making her sister Celestia the best princess ever, that Morpheus was the only one ever there for her, he practically raise her. And after he was force to leave, there was nopony that understood her that is until she met Rex.

As they walked, Morpheus ask her,

“So those children of your, what are their names,”

“Well the mare’s name is Twililly Moonlight, and the colt’s name is Bold Umbra,”

“Umbra, as in Shadows,”

“Yes I named him after his father, shadows always seem to follow him, but I am just hoping these Shadows are not like his father’ Shadows,” Luna stated with a worried look,

“So who and where is their father?”

“He was a Crystal Unicorn named Rex Umbra,”

“Was?”

“He died Eight years ago trying to protect me,”

“I am sorry, did you love him,”

“Yes, In fact we were going to get married, but then he died,”

“I am so sorry for you loss Luna,”

“I never found another like him, and I probably never will, but that doesn’t matter because once I use the Element of Self-Sacrifice then he will back and we can finally get married,”

“But are you willing to take the risk, or should I say would the stallion you loved be willing take the risk,”

“What do you mean?”

“To understand the risk then you must go find the current owner of the Element of Self-Sacrifice, he lives in the great Kirin-Ryu Mountain,”

“But be care the journey up the Mountain is dangerous so you must alone, and you can’t just fly up the mountain anything flying will shot down instantly, so you must go by ground,”

“Yes, King Morpheus, I am willing to take any risk to get my beloved back,”

“Well then you will also need something that belonged to him,”

“I have his old red scarf, he gave to me once,”

“Good because even though it is believe by most that you require the remains of one that you wish to bring back but the truth is all you need is something that belong to them, now go Dark Hornet will keep watch over the children,”

As Princess Luna left the hive, King Morpheus whispered to himself, “Luna hope you ready, to make the Ultimate Sacrifice,”

As Princess Luna travel to, up the mountain she fought though several monsters to get though the top. Once there she encounter a Massive Cave opening, bigger than any other cave she had ever seen.

Princess Luna enter the cave and inside it was massively gigantic horde of gold and jewels. Luna knew right then and there, that she was in front of a Dragon’s Horde.

But where was the dragon of this horde. And what was weird the horde itself was caked in dust as the dragon of this horde no longer care for it. Luna began to think the horde been abandoned.

But then a loud booming voice fill the cave as gigantic purple Celestial Dragon descended from the horde. The dragon was so big that he would make an Ursa Major look like it was the size of filly in comparison,

“What thou reason for being here in my Kingdom,”

“Your Kingdom, what kind kingdom consist of just a massive cave,”

“Cave? This entire Continent is my Kingdom,”

“What how can be, my Aunt Sapphire Amethyst ruled this land centuries ago,”

“Did you say that you are related to Sapphire,” the Dragon asked as he lowered his massive head to look more closely at Luna,

“Yes?”

“This brilliant I had no idea she had a niece,”

“So are you the daughter of Helios Quarts, or Emerald Teal,”

“I am the Daughter of King Helios,”

“Good because I can’t stand Emerald Teal,”

“You know my family well,” Luna stated with smile,

“Well of course he does Luna,” a mysterious voice stated,

“King Morpheus, are you the reason she is here,”

“Yes I am,” Morpheus stated as walked in cave,

“Morpheus, wait this was all was a test wasn’t it,”

“Yes, and No,”

“Then who is this dragon,”

“This is King Dracos Ryu, King of all Dragons, and I think it would best for you to call him Uncle Dracos,”

“Why would I call him my uncle?”

“Because he was your Aunt Sapphire Amethyst’s Husband,”

Luna’s jaw dropped, at this information, “I had no idea my Aunt had gotten married,”

“Yes, and it is the reason the your aunt left Equestria, because she fell in love with a dragon, and her brother your uncle King Emerald Teal fear that hybrid would be born of this union, so he tried to destroy it,”

“Okay that make sense on why she left and took the other Three Elements but what does this have to do with Element Self-Sacrifice,”

“Because your Aunt was willing to sacrifice everything for what she believe for the Dragons she loved, even her own life,”

“What do you mean?”

“King Dracos show her the Egg,”

Then Dracos bought down from top his horde a small purple baby dragon egg covered in spots,

“This is your Cousin, the son of Dracos and Sapphire, when he born there was no heart beat at all, he was born dead, so against her Husband’s wishes, Sapphire use the Element of Self-Sacrifice to save her son at cost her own life,”

“You see Luna the risk is not just your own life span, it also cost your life force to use, so are will to die for Rex, are willing to leave your children without a mother, and Celestia without her sister, is that what Rex would want,”

With tear running down her face Luna stated, “No he would not want that at all,”

“Here Luna take this with you when go back to Equestria,” Dracos stated as he handed her the Egg,

“Why are you giving this to me?”

“Because it is prophesied the egg can only be hatch by a powerful unicorn, and there no unicorns in land,”

Princess Luna took her children and the egg and headed back to Equestria. Meanwhile Rex finds himself and Grogar, in the Deserts of Saddle Arabia.

Chapter 4: The Truth and the Darkness

Grogar and his zombie zebra servants make their way through the dangerous deserts of Saddle Arabia, with the servants caring Rex’s still wounded body on a cart.

As they went through the Deserts, Rex demand Grogar why they were out there, “Grogar you will tell me now why we are out here in Saddle Arabia of all places,”

“Simple we are looking for something to fix your wounds,”

“Eight years and now you want to fix them,”

“Why now?”

“Because a day that happen once a year, the Day of Dark Renewal is just three months away, we need you ready by then,”

“I was going to wait a few more years but with that threat by Blood Diamond has force me to speed up my plans,”

“Why, do you need me and Luna for plan?”

“No I don’t need Princess Luna for the plan,”

“Then why are you helping me, to save Luna,”

“Because she is important to you, simple as that,”

“We are here,”

Rex looked forward to see a massive temple surrounded by an Alicorn Shielding Spell,

“What is this place?”

“This the Temple of Sealed Sciography, it was a temple where the Dark Alicorns that survived the CalaVoss War stayed hidden while they did twisted experiments to create the Superior Alicorn, while doing their experiment they created many magical weapons, one in particular you need for the next part of the plan,”

“But we will never get past that shielding spell only Alicorns can go through that, if we go through that we be kill on the spot,”

“I will go it alone from here,”

“Did you not just hear me, you will be killed instant—”

Before Rex could finish Grogar step through the Alicorn Shielding Spell, and it flicker like it was about to kill him, but Grogar just kept walking, and he did not die, or even flinch.

Grogar enter the Temple, as Rex waited for his return. Weeks he was forced to wait, while still bleeding he would fall in an out consciousness. Always losing too much energy, and blood from the wounds, Rex would often have dreams of Luna, while out consciousness, she often would be too far out of his reach.

Grogar finally exited the temple caring mysterious blue Amulet. Grogar then stated,

“This Amulet once powered, will amplify your magic power tenfold,”

Grogar then placed the Amulet over Rex’s neck, as then Rex was covered in a blue glow that allowed Rex to walk again,

“My wounds no longer hurt, what kind of amulet is this,”

“This Amulet was created by the most powerful of the Dark Alicorn that ever existed, he was a tall purple Dark Alicorn, He created the Amulet with many purposes for to heal the wielder the Blood will stop soon,”

“You see Rex the reason I never healed your wounds is because the blade that you were impaled with, were cover in a spell that prevented anyone from heal the wounds that they delivered,”

“But this amulet has enough power to match a full blooded Alicorn in magic, and that is what you wield now, and now that you can move on your own we can go to our next destination is a frozen lake that north of Crystal Empire,”

Princess Luna finally arrive back in Equestria with her children and the Egg, they head to the Castle of the Two Sisters, once there Princess Luna tell her sister what happen.

Afterward, Princess Luna put the Egg in a safe place, and then put her children to bed so they could rest. Her children were tired from traveling so far. Then Princess Luna went to her room she wanted to be alone.

After Luna went to her room, there was a knock at the castle front door, Princess Celestia open the door, as Prince Blood Diamond walked in stating,

“I just heard that Luna has returned,”

“Yes she just got here an hour ago, what do you want?”

“Well I am here, because I was hoping I could have talk with Luna, about her failed attempt to bring back her dead fiancé,”

“She never attempted it, was too dangerous, besides how would you know if it would failed or not,”

“Celestia, I thought you of ponies, would been told the news,”

Meanwhile Luna walked her room and down the hallway, when she heard Blood and Celestia talking

“What news?”

“That a fire broke out in the ruins of the Canterlot Castle, and by the time anypony got there, it was dust and ash,”

“When did this happen?” Celestia asked,

“A Few days after Luna left, such a shame that journey was a complete loss from the beginning,”

Luna fell down in tears as she listen from behind a wall,

“It was all meaningless,”

“Indeed Celestia, both your missions are pointless, after all you two Alicorns are just trying save two freaks of nature,”

“What did say?”

“What, that you two loving such Abominations, that they were disasters waiting, or that they were meant to both die, Rex, and Discord,"

Prince Blood Diamond was too busy talking to notice how angry Princess Celestia getting from the raciest comments that Blood Diamond was making.

As Princess Celestia’s mane started to flare up like flame, and her coat was turning to a white ash color, there were only a few that knew of this meant only one thing that she was about to let her rarely seen anger out on Blood Diamond.

But Celestia most loyal Personnel Guard SunFire step in stop her anger with a simple look that always seem to stated that he protect her, then once she calm down, and mane and coat turned back to normal, SunFire then turn toward Prince Blood Diamond, and demanded,

“Leave at once Blood you are not welcome here,”

“How dare you order me, I am of Royalty, you are just a low level guard, I shell duel you for that,”

“Name the place and I will fight you right now,”

“Fine then this Castle’s Courtyard right now,”

Blood Diamond was expecting an easy battle, but how wrong he was when he lost in ten minutes flat. After losing the a guard, Blood Diamond left castle, then Celestia found Luna.

Rex and Grogar arrive at the frozen lake, as they enter Rex asks,

“Grogar what is our reason for being here of all place there nothing here,”

“What this place doesn’t look familiar to you at all,”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, Legend states that millions years ago, when the world ruled by tall Apes, they created CalaVoss, and for that CalaVoss slaughter them all and poured their blood in to this lake, creating what is the Frozen Lake of Blood,”

“So what does that have to do with me?”

“Because this was the where I was born, and where you will be reborn,” Grogar stated cracked the Ice causing Rex fall into the Blood Lake,

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!!”

“Legend also states millions years later this area was the birth place of the very first Dark Alicorn, and he was considered to be the father of all Dark Alicorns, but after only a five hundred year reign his kingdom was overthrow by his own children, and he was curse to live in a non Alicorn image for all but one day a year, the incredible part is that day is today, the Day of Dark Renewal”

As the Sun rose to reveal the truth. Light hit Grogar as shape began to change revealing his true form was that of a giant purple Dark Alicorn.

“What are you?”

“YOU KNOW ME AS GROGAR, BUT ALL OTHER FEAR MY TRUE NAME AS GROGAR THE FIRST DARK ALICORN!!!!!!”

“And being the first Dark Alicorn I can sense other Dark Alicorns, and even their descendants so when first saw you during the war with Tirek, I knew instantly that you were a descendant of a Dark Alicorn, After all only a pony with Dark Alicorn power in his/her blood can wield the Shadows as a weapon,”

“What?”

“That why I save you, because if you are a descendant of a Dark Alicorn, then you are a descendant of a ME, son,”

“And that’s also why I brought you here, to help you Ascend to your true potential as the new breed of Dark Alicorn, can’t you hear it Shadows as they wrap around you engulfing you in Darkness,”

As the Darkness wrapped around him, Rex could see his whole world turn black, as it change his entire body, he let out loud roar of agony that could be heard as close Crystal Empire, and as far as the Everfree Forest,

In the Castle of the Two Sister, Celestia and Luna could hear roaring, but neither could recognize the voice, for all Luna knew is that it filled her with sorrow like she reliving through losing Rex all over again.

Then the Rex’s roar of agony stop he step out of the blood as a Dark Alicorn, the blue Amulet turned red, becoming the Dark Alicorn Amulet. Indeed he had Ascended to being a Dark Alicorn and it felt Great.
