Trixie wrote a letter to Twilight Sparkle, asking if she - or one of her friends - could visit Manehattan and help her work on building a private library, so that she can grow from "The Great and Apologetic Trixie" into "The Great and Wiser Trixie".

Gilda has worked on restoring Griffonstone to the glorious city that it used to be, one friendship at a time. But restoring the buildings that have fallen into disrepair is a more difficult task, particularly with Griffonstone's limited resources.

Twilight Sparkle has a proposition: Gilda should fly to Manehattan and work with Trixie to build book collections together. Both of them are interested in accomplishing similar goals, and working together could help them learn about Friendship together.

Things don't end well.
