Resurrection and Damnation

I had returned from the Crystal Empire two weeks ago. And wish know more about the Crystal Heart. As you know the Crystal Ponies and Cadence use it destroy King Sombra. But I was wondering if you could tell me more about it. I tried sending a letter a to Princess Celestia, but she sent a letter that told me to go to send a letter to you. I want to know any Truths about the Crystal Heart.

Princess Luna put down letter. she thought to her that this was the first letter that her sister student Twilight Sparkle had sent Luna. And She did not know how to answer, what Twilight was asking. Luna had remember the day she first met Twilight. On that day that Princess Luna had been set free from Nightmare Moon, she knew instantly who Twilight was, and what her appearance meant. That maybe Luna could make things right before he reappear, but in the end. Twilight could not save him like she did Luna.

Princess Luna felt tears going down her face as she remembered the day that King Sombra return. Luna's sister Princess Celestia forbid Luna from leave the castle. Celestia told Luna that Twilight was ready. That if anypony could save Rex from the Madness of being King Sombra, it would Twilight. But in the end Twilight had failed to save Rex, and instead Princess Cadence, and Crystal Ponies use the Crystal Heart the destroy him.

Princess Celestia never told Twilight, her true reason for being there. Celestia felt that Twilight was not ready to know the truth. Princess Luna agreed with her sister choice, and in the end did not hate Twilight in failing to save Rex. For even though Twilight failed, she still succeed in doing right thing. Even if meant that Princess Luna losing her husband for possible ever. Luna knew deep down that his love would always be with her. Then Luna look up a special blue gem that had writing on it. It was unreadable, the writing had been wore down by time. But Luna remembered the day that she found it. It the Night after the day the Crystal Empire first vanished.

Princess Luna had just witnessed the banishment of an entire empire. Tears were rolling her face Luna did not know what to put in word, horror that she saw. Crystal Ponies screaming as they were unable to escape, as they all finally vanished.

Princess Celestia finally woke up. As she looked around noticing that there was nothing left. Celestia then saw her sister and ran over to her. As Princess Celestia ran to her sister, she ask,

"Luna what happen to the Crystal Empire,"

But Luna stood there silently.

"Luna please tell what happen, what did Sombr--" Celestia stop talking once got she got close enough to notice her sister face covered in tears, as Luna finally responded,

"I.....I.....I.....tried...to....stop....him...but...he..charging towards me with a blade.....I....I...didn't...want....to....kill...him....I just, I just, I just,"

Luna couldn't say anymore as she threw herself into Celestia hooves and began massively cry for lose of her beloved husband. Celestia simply just wrapped her wings around her sister and began tear up as well, Although Celestia had long hated Sombra, she couldn't help feel sad for what her sister had to do. Celestia would not ask anymore about what happen that day. Although Celestia did find out what happen eventually. But for now she did not want to burden her sister with reliving that painful memory.

Celestia and Luna finally return to Canterlot by night fall. Luna didn't have the heart to tell anypony or even her children what happen. So Celestia inform them instead, while Luna simple ran to her room. Once inside the privacy of her room, she began to cry again. But then she notice a shine of moon light being reflected at her. she open her eyes look to see that it was blue gem with writing on it. It was a Crystal Letter, from the only pony she knew that could carve gem in such a way. So she pick it up with her magic and floated it to herself and began to read.

Dear Luna,

I want tell you how sorry I am. That I did not want this. Nor would I dare wish it. But I need to be stopped. I know I went to far, and there is no way back now. Just know that no matter how the battle ends I will always love you, now and forever. And my love for you will shine just as bright as the Element I once wielded.

As the flashback cleared, Luna knew instantly how to answer, what Twilight was asking, and without tell her to much. Luna grabbed some parchment with her magic and began to write a reply,

He was powerful Stallion that love his Mare so much that he will to anything for her. No matter what the cost. Whether it was defeating monster, overthrowing a Corrupt King, or making the Ultimate Sacrifice. Even when the Stallion and his Mare became enemies, he still loved her. Twilight Sparkle you want to know the Truth about the Crystal Heart. Well we did not send you there to simply just save the Crystal Empire. We wanted to see if you or your brother Shining Armor could wield it. And Why because the Stallion that I that knew was none other than your Ancestor, and his name was Rex.
