"Finally" I dropped my hoof to the ground, allowing the wrench in my hooves and the screw driver grasped within my magic to fall.
They hit the floor with a rather loud clang, which echoed off the compact walls surrounding me.
"Those robot things are just hunks of metal now" I laughed to myself.
After ten years, ten years of haunting from those sick children. After ten years, I had finally been able to sneak back into this darned pizzeria to destroy what they had possessed.
Those brats I had killed were brought back... by something. They were put into these characters, and then they... possessed them.
"I can`t believe it though" My voice was a bit mad, to say the least. I had been trying to get into this pizzeria for eight years, and finally having destroyed these things was about the best accomplishment I had ever completed.
"I got away with six murders".
I glanced around to make sure nothing lurked around. Before I had gotten my hooves on Freddy, he`d pursued me twice before. The anticipation was still there.
In a way, I still expected some metal monster to lunge at me from the shadows.
"First... That one child, the crying one...." I savored each moment, from whence I found the child, to when I gave him that poisoned cupcake.
Oh how he choked and gaped for air, only to crumble to his death.
"And the other five..." I whispered. I had lured them into the parts room, and then I had stabbed them. One by one.
Their blood had spilled onto the tile floor.
That was their price. They deserved it. Even my eldest son.
For ruining Micheal`s life.
I growled under my breath a few curses.
They had dragged him up to Fredbear. That golden animatronic bit them.
It was only fitting I wore the empty golden suit to kill them all.
"H-h-h-hi there, buddy! And welcome to F-F-F-Freddy Fazbear`s pizza!" a brown beaten robot laughed with a goofy tone. I jumped back, my sides heaving at the interruption.
"Gah! How are you-" I sighed" -Right. Your not completely broken".
I smiled slightly.
The purple one, deemed 'Bonnie', no longer bore a face, and was missing a leg and hoof.
"You were all pieces of scrap metal anyways" I huffed out. A yellow pony, which wore a bib like outfit reading 'Let`s Eat!!!' now had a broken jaw, and was missing her two front hooves. The endoskeleton jutted out of each one, revealing wires and other mechanical parts.
"Ugh, it`s already five in the morning?" I grunted, raising a hoof to check the time.
My mini clock read five forty-five am.
"Idbest be going. The morning guardll be here soon" I noted, right before a small clang went off behind me.
I twisted my head around.
"What was that?" I found myself asking the air. Nothing seemed moved, though there were so many useless utensils in here it could've been anything.
"O-okay then. Calm down. I just need to get out of here and-"
"You killed us" a small voice echoed through my head from within.
"W-what..." I spun around, trying to face whomever was talking.
"We`ll never forget" it went off again, but the voice was different.
"Who`s there!" I yelled at the empty room.
"You`ll pay".
"Wait..." My eyes shrunk, "H-how are you... NO!!!" I shouted with frustration.
"You must pay".
"I thought I killed you! Is twice not enough!?" I shrunk back, my back hooves bumping against the animtronics.
With a startled turn of my body, I was met with six familiar faces.
... All completely pale bodies, adorned with pupil-less eyes, and bland gray tears streaming down their faces.
"You killed us".
"Stay back!" I cried out. Those bodies, those ghostly bodies- they began to move forward, floating above the ground.
"Pay".
I continued to back up. The door was close to me, maybe I could get out...
One child moved towards me, and in my frantic confusion- I fled into the hallway.
"I said, stay away!" my snarl made no connection in their ghostly minds.
"You must pay".
"No! I thought I killed you!" I cried out. My mind was racing everywhere. How had they come back?/
This was the second time I'd killed them.
First they were alive.
Then they possessed those rotting shelves of animatronics.
And so I destroyed those too. After the suits had been moving at night, I had decided to destroy them. Yeah they roamed around at night before the slaughter, but they had never REALLY attacked any guard.
That one night guard was just stupid enough to come up with an excuse.
But those children deserved it.
They ruined his life.
So I ruined theirs.
"You can't run".
I turned around.
The exit wasn't far from here, but if I went straight towards it I bet they'd of got there first. So I was left with the option to loop around, and try to get out that way.
Could the brats hurt me?
Shaking my head, I decided not to risk it.
"Stupid kids! You should've stayed dead!" My taunting growl broke their slow movements, as I began to gallop down the hall.
They looked at each other, before seemingly breaking into a run too- after me.
"You must pay up for the suffering you've caused!" one filly broke out, her pitch black eyes scraping into my soul.
"No, you had to pay. Your all the ones who started this!" I shouted as I turned the corner to the hallway, and broke through another tiring gallop.
My hooves broke the silence of this pizzeria, drowning my panting.
It was odd... As I noticed something.
I stopped near the end of the hall.
Boxes aligned the walls, crates full of random screws and pipes and broken glass.
I watched the end of the wall where I had come from.
Where were those children?
The voices had stopped too.
Was it all an illusion?
"No", I thought with a rapid shake of my head, "That's impossible. I saw them. They talked. It was real".
I found my hooves taking me down the hallway to my left, which would then lead into the dining room, and then I could leave.
The tiles had chipped away over time- due to those pesky robots destroying it with so much weight- and the lights flickered on and off absently.
"Perhaps I should have taken some pony with me," I muttered, "So that I could get out of here without the hassle of any more tasks besides destroying those hunks of metal and killing my unlucky accomplice".
It would have worked, too.
All I would have had to do was kill the pony and leave- it would look like the perfect scene. They were taking apart the animatronics and died when... Something got them.
The pizzeria seemed rather quiet, especially after I'd been chased by those... things.
The end of the hall was all the more chipped, as I ducked under the broken door frame into the dining room.
The whole bucking place was dark, and I'd only become accustomed to part of it.
I flicked my magic towards my side, attempting to grab something that wasn't there.
With nothing being gripped, I looked back.
Where was it?
A mumbled curse escaped my mouth.
I had forgotten my flashlight in the safe room.
"Buck," I sighed angrily, "I have to get out of here blind!".
As I felt my way around the chairs and tables- keeping in mind to head right, I swore I caught tiny bits of sound in my ear, different than just my hoofsteps.
Even though my earlier experience was terrifying, I occasionally glanced around to see if those dumb foals were here. They didn't seem to be.
Of course, that was behind me.
I whipped my head back to where I was going, and spotted a chair as I passed it.
"Good, maybe I can get out before I hallucinate again" I smirked to myself. Until I noticed something.
My hooves stopped dead in their tracks.
How had I been able to see before- after I left the room, and then had been at a loss of any- and can now see again.
It flashed into my eyes.
Those children.
THEY were here!
I backed up, into a table, and quickly jumped forth again.
"Where are you!?" I yelled furiously. My ears twitched as a few soft sounds entered them, foreign voices and hooftaps.
"Stay away, I swear!" my threats sounded weak with my posture, a shaky defensive position ready to break into a heap of nothing.
Then a tiny voice came.
"You MUST pay".
"Wait- WHAT?! No, you had to pay, " I snarled, "YOU had to die because of what you did".
A tiny white silhouette trotted out into the dining room. It had no eyes- if only one pinprick on the left side of it's face, and seemingly walked a foot off of the ground.
"You killed us" a small colt-like voice resounded to my left. There was a child there, masked tears running down it's face in a curtain like motion, swaying precariously in front of the dead eyed colt.
"I said s-stay away" my voice caught in my throat.
A light appeared in front of me, bringing along another child.
It was more lively, with pinpricks in its eyes, and a... Smile across its face.
"Why did you kill us?" she tilted her head at a right angle as she walked towards me.
I stepped back, seeing that another had joined them- as four little undead foals came towards me.
My vision raced whenever I noticed something terrifying.
With wide eyes, I realized the exit was past them.
Could I get there?
What if they could kill me?!
"No," I shook my head, "You little brats deserved death. You couldn't escape it even after the knowledge was under your snout!".
None of them seemed fazed in any way or form.
"Why did you kill us?" the small smiling one repeated, as it took a few more small steps towards me.
"Because of what YOU did!" I spat, while turning and jumping onto the table behind me, trying to get away from them.
"Why did you kill us?" she only repeated.
I glared at her, my eyes glazed with pain.
"Because you ruined his life..." I fell onto the ground, about to bury my hooves into my face.
"Why did you kill us?" she only came closer.
"Shut the buck up, you idiotic ghost! Stay away from me! You deserved it! You killed him!" I sprang to my hooves and stepped back, getting off of the table. Another child floated into the room, bearing an eye patch like curtainy tear over his right eye.
I glanced around.
Another foal joined them, more dead than the rest, his mouth stuck in a silent scream.
Where was the sixth one?
"Why... Why did you kill us?" the smiling one only persisted.
That idiotic brat wouldn't shut up with the question.
"You know what you did! What all of you did! You killed him..." I stepped back once more, to find my back against a wall. I quickly twisted my head around to search for a door- and I found it.
It led backstage.
"There must be a reason" the smiling girl stated softly.
I glared at her.
"There IS a reason. My son is dead thanks to you. There. Is that better, you insufficient idiots?" spat at her, tears welling up in my eyes.
The girl stopped for a moment, as if in thought.
She then looked up at me.
"No".
The ponies continued to advance upon me.
"You know what, you heartless demons?" I asked lightly, and engulfed my magic around a doorknob, "Buck off".
I sprinted into the Backstage room, dashing past the haunted heads that looked at me as I ran.
The Endoskeleton eyed me, but with his servos being locked up (praise the stormy weather outside) he couldn't pursue me.
"I'm an idiot, "I sighed as I shook my head, staring at the door in front of me, "but let's hope their dumber" with that I swung the next door open- which was actually out of sight of the camera's view, and galloped in.
The door slammed behind me, and locked, even though I doubted that would stop those pesky foals from getting in.
My hoofsteps were loud as they banged along the creaky metal stairs- rusted with lack of usage, and covered in blood from unlucky Janitors.
Some of the dry blood was even sticky, clinging to my hooves as they pounded down on the metal.
I turned to my left as I began to make my way down the last set of stairs.
It was quite bright in here- due to some back up generator light- so I didn't need puny ghosts to light the way.
Though I noticed that they had entered, and were coming down at me now.
"Why did I come down here?!" I retaliated at my stupidity, "This place only leads to a dead end".
Even with that in mind though, I made my way to the bottom of the stairs, galloping straight to the back of the room- which was unnervingly dark.
While my eyes adjusted to the shadows, the foals had began to advance at the end of the stairs.
They all held blank expressions, well, except that smiling one, as they float trotted towards me.
I backed up quite a bit, eventually hitting a section of lockers- old rusty ones the employees at Fredbear's Diner used.
I looked around for anything I could use to hide, my heart racing frantically, sweat beading down my forehead.
There had ti be something.
And then I spotted it.
Over in a corner of the room, to my left, was a... A suit.
Not like Freddy Fazbear, or Chica, or anything.
It was a Spring Lock, or 'Hybrid' suit.
The golden Bunny one from Fredbear's diner.
Holes and wires decorated the thing in an ominous pattern, making it seem as unsafe as possible.
But what other thing was there?
The whole room was vacant, and now that I could actually see around it I knew those pesky brats were here. Those murderers.
"You must pay" the smiling girl stated lightly.
"Shut the buck up" I retorted. All of the children- except Smiley- backed up. She stepped forward.
"Die".
"What?" I perked up at her.
"I said Die".
That was all she needed to say to get me worked up. But it didn't help when she suddenly began to twitch out, her head moved at demonic speeds, as she smiled at me even more now. Her mouth had... Sharp teeth, and she just overall was more devil-ish now.
With one last snap of her head, she charged at me.
I dodged her, running to my right to get away. She only followed at my heels. I made a rough turn for the suit, but had to double over and turn left as soon as I felt a literal claw scrape my hind leg.
"So she can actually hurt me "I noted hastily.
The children only watched me run from a foal less than half my size- it was probably quite funny to look at, as some were giggling at my soon to be downfall.
With a hasty growl, I jumped to my left, landing right beside the Golden Bonnie, know as Spring Bonnie.
The girl seemed confused as I grabbed a small crowbar- which luckily happened to be right beside the suit, and began to undo a few hinges.
She stopped in her pursuit to kill me, I guess deciding to just watch.
Smirking, I placed each leg in the suit, before slipping a few hinges loose to get into it.
I dropped the crowbar as I tightened those screws back, and threw on the head to the suit.
The children only watched.
Once finished, I stepped forth.
"You can't kill me now, girl," my voice was determined and, for once, brave. Smiley just frowned before stepping back with the other children.
Her features were still nightmare like, but it didn't bother the children. They'd been stuffing guards into Freddy Fazbear suits for a number of years now anyways.
"You shall pay" a new foal entered the place where the others were. He had no teary curtains streaming down his face, instead though a dark gray line of painted tears going down from his eyes to his mouth.
The foal seemed to be troubled, as he kept his head down, as if only talking to the children.
I smirked underneath the suit.
"I doubt that" my voice came out a bit muffled, but I knew they had heard me when I saw Smiley frown even more, her ears drooping.
"You do know what suit he's in..." The masked teared one mumbled. His eyes were both pinpricks of light, glaring at me.
I tilted my head slightly.
"What would be different abou-" I stopped mid sentence as a spring snapping sound echoed throughout the room.
Smiley perked up as it reached her ears.
"Wait. What?" Another Spring like sound resonated. And by the time I realized where it was coming from I was too late.
A sharp pain dug into my front hooves, as if knives had been stabbed into them.
Another line of pain dug right above it, as the spring locks on the suit began to fail.
"No!" I screamed in agony as another lock broke, on both my back hooves.
The children only watched, as if confused as to weather they should be content with this or not.
I shot painful glares at them, as more locks broke- digging into my pelt. Blood began to ooze out of the holes, painting the floor red.
A spring lock broke at my neck point, as it dug straight through my skin.
"Gah!" My pupils shrunk immensely, as I gaped for air.
"Y-You dumb brats!" I choked on blood. A spring fell through my flank, cutting straight through any bone to the other side, causing me to stumble, and almost fall.
Locks broke around my legs, but that was the least of my worries.
My whole body ached from these knives. And they only kept coming.
A Spring lock fell on my back, forcing it to bend forward unnaturally. I spasmed, stumbling to the floor.
Now in a worse position, the locks only broke faster. I forced out a hoof to the children.
"H-Help..." My voice was choked out. Blood now dripped in a large pool around me. More locks broke, causing me to spasm in pain.
When the children backed up, shaking their little heads, I decided to try to get up myself.
With that effort, more locks broke into my hooves, and I let go as I slumped against the wall, spasming as springs dug into my neck.
There wasn't much I could really do.
"Help..." my moan was barely natural.
I held out a hoof as best as I could, but it slumped downwards.
Most of the children actually began to fade, even Smiley. They weren't gone, I could sense that. But they were definitely becoming more transparent the more I greeted death.
One child, the smallest one, a tiny colt, seemed to stay opaque though- for whatever reason.
"P-Please, hel- urgh!" two thin poles dug into the roof of my mouth, and I lifted my head in pain as they cut through my gums.
My mouth hung partially open, and I couldn't close.
I also noticed that my magic was gone. It just... I couldn't do anything.
"-lease..." I attempted to talk now, but it was gargled with the fact that I could not move my mouth to speak anymore.
The ghostly colt seemed to be crying- literally.
He shook his head at the sight of my bloody and unnaturally bent body, which spasmed every so often now.
He looked at me with full on sorry.
And then began to pad over to me.
I felt a weak smile form on my face, even though I couldn't truly do that now.
The tiny colt stopped as he came about a foot away from me.
He lowered his head sorrowfully. The only definable thing about this ghost was the scar that ran along his left eye, which was missing a pinprick pupil- kind of like an eye patch would cover one's eye.
I knew who it was.
And I could only think of one thing to say.
My voice came out half mechanical.
"Goodbye".
Author's Note
I know it sucks. Too bad.
I tried, I'm getting better, so too bad. I hope you like it though. I did the last two thirds on September 25th, so I've been waiting to publish this for so long~
(if there is cover art, it is done by me)
Besides that, who was the one he knew? Who was the one he kept mentioning?
Okay one of those was answered but who cares.
Toast? *It's only fitting*
