It's been almost a year since I last saw them. Their smiling faces, their beautiful manes and coats. I longed to see them once more, before I left this world, and that could be at any second. My name is Rainbow Dash, former Element of Harmony. And this is my story.
Lightning struck the ground, rain poured down like a leaking faucet. Ponies could be seen running into their houses, parents huddling their kids up like a group of wild cattle. I watched them, in a bored manner, it wasn't like I could do anything else anyway. Derpy was already inside, she never liked going out anymore. Not since..The Incident. She didn't like talking about it, and when anypony else did, she got furious quickly. She was the only pony I could trust now, and the same went for her. Everypony else would do anything, and I mean anything, to survive.
Not long ago, I had 6 other ponies I trusted. They're gone now. I don't know where they are either, so it's not like I could go out and find them. I tried that already anyway, and I failed miserably.
"Rainbow Dash! Dinner!"
Derpy called me from inside, her bubbly-voice ringed through my ears. I had almost forgotten I was still outside in the cold, rain. And by the time I realized I was, everypony I was originally looking at was already inside. I'd just been dazing out in the middle of nowhere for almost 10 minutes.
"Coming Derpy..." I answered. I flew off the cloud I was currently sitting on and landed on the ground with a quick thud. Running into the direction of the old shelter, rain dripped down my sides.
Entering the shelter, I shook off the cool water on my coat. Derpy was standing alongside me, she had a deep frown on her face and her derped-eyes looked coldly at me like glass. I remembered a few months ago, Derpy was always smiling, always had a happy-look on her face. That wasn't the case anymore.
"What were you doing? You know being outside when lightning is shooting out of the sky is a bad thing to do..Right?" Derpy joked. She flew up, flying towards the small dinner table we managed to build out off the leftover wood from the shelter. Dinner was set up, two wooden bowls of daisy-stew sitting quietly.
"Of course I do..." I said.
"Then why were you out there? You know better then that, Rainbow Dash.." Derpy smirked. She sipped a bit of the daisy-stew.
"I was just...Thinking.."
"Well next time..think inside..."
"Sure Ditzy."
Derpy froze at me, her derped-eyes narrowed. I bit my lips in a ignorant manner.
"What did you just call me?"
"Nothing..." I sighed. Derpy didn't like being called that anymore, it was what the Doctor used to call her, and...well...The Incident happened.
"Sure...Just come eat before I throw your food out..." Derpy mocked. She smiled softly.
I flew over to the table, sitting down on the floor, hardly. I picked at the food for a while, looking at it in a weird manner. Derpy was a good cook, but The Incident really ruined that.
"You not gonna eat it?" Derpy said.
"I will...." I assured." You know..Pinkie Pie used to make the best dinner."
Derpy looked at me, worry in her eyes. She knew how deeply I cared for my friends, especially Pinkie Pie, who was like a younger sister to me.
"I know..She worked at Sugar Cube Corner..remember?" Derpy agreed.
"Before it burned down in that fire..."
"Well...at least she made it out..."
"Barely..."
Derpy's expression turned sour. She ate another sip of her daisy-stew before continuing her part of the conversation.
"Well you should know..you are the one who saved her..."
"I didn't save the Cakes though...or their foals..."
"Well...Their in a better place..."
"Their dead, Derpy..."
"Celestia's taken care of them...They'll be fine..."
Derpy flew up from the dinner table, flying over to the trash can and throwing away her and my stew, both. She flew over to the other side of the room, slipping into one of the two sleeping bags on the floor.
"Night Dashie..." Derpy joked. I froze. She knew how much I hated being called that name by anypony, well, anypony except Pinkie.
"What."
"Just doing some quick revenge." Derpy smiled. "Night Rainbow Dash."
"Night Derpy.."
I flew into my sleeping bag, blowing out the candle that sat next to our bags. I closed my eyes, trying to focus on my prime goal, getting a good's night rest. Dear Luna...Please give me a good's night's rest. I haven't had one of those since before this torture started. Well, Night Girls...Night Spike...Night Scoots...Night Tank...Wherever you are...Night..

The sound of cannons woke me up like an alarm clock. And the sun wasn't even up either. I slipped from out of my sleeping bag and looked towards Derpy's. She somehow managed to stay still asleep, even when thousands of metal weapons were being flung around the sky. But, somepony's have gotten used to that. The ponies who weren't able to escape Ponyville of course. And it was all because...
11 months ago, a new enemy came from Tarturus, and managed to be immune to the Element's of Harmony.
Because of that, Equestria was flung into complete chaos, everything being even more messed up then Discord's return. My friends had managed to escape, each going their separate ways at separate times. I, unfortunately, was stuck in Ponyville when I was trying to help Pinkie Pie escape. She stayed there for hours, looking through the barrier in between the woods Ponyville, watching me with a guilty expression. It took that same number of hours to convince her to leave and try and find some shelter. I found Derpy moments later and we became as close as me and my other friend's were.
I still remember the look of horror on Pinkie Pie's face, tears were running down her face and her mane was deflated in a depressed manner. I had never seen her look so sad or miserable. And it was all because she thought it was her fault that I didn't escape. She cared for me that much.
I never understood how the Elements didn't work though. Was it possibly because of that fight the 6 of us were having earlier. Did fights affect the Element's of Harmony? I might never know.
I might not want to know, but I just couldn't sit here any longer either. I was tired of waking up in the middle of night to the sound of thousands of ponies still trying to fight their way out of the barrier. I was tired of the chaotic weather and the depressed state of Ponyville. I needed everything back to the way it was. Back to way it's supposed to be. And I was gonna do it, if nopony else was going to.
I shook Derpy awake, her eyes opened slowly, tiredly.
"What is it Rainbow Dash..." Derpy replied quietly. I tossed her an old saddlebag that I kept in my pillows to keep it sturdy.
"Pack your things...We have an adventure to go on.."

II. The Fake And Doubtful Trixie
Walking to the barrier was the easy part, but what was really hard was getting outside. I stared at the barrier carefully, trying to remember what I would do in situations like this before. Probably be arrogant. Infact, I remember Twilight usually being the one to actually solve these types of problems. But of course, Twilight isn't here to help, anymore. I stared at Derpy for a minute, she too was trying to figure a way out of the barrier. If the Doctor was here, he'd be proud.
"We need unicorn magic." Derpy said, confidently. Her eyes were narrowed and her mouth was in a frown.
"Why would we need unicorn magic?" I asked. Besides, many of the unicorns that formerly lived in Ponyville escaped using teleportation spells. Finding a unicorn to help us would be a difficult task to complete.
"We obviously we can't do anything else but dig under the barrier, and if we dug, it would possibly take months. A unicorn, however, could use one of their spells to do it in less then 10 minutes. "
I thought about Derpy's idea for a moment, before smiling brightly at her. It was genius. Except for one flaw.
"That could work. But who would we get to help us, exactly?"
Derpy's frown turned deeper at my remark. She had nothing.
"Let me think. What about Lyra?" I asked, trying to brighten up the mood.
"She escaped...with Bon Bon, too."
"Vinyl Scratch?"
"Escaped.."
"Colgate?"
"Escaped."
"Who didn't escape?!"
Derpy thought for a minute before resting her eyes back on me. "Trixie."
My eyes widened with rage at the sound of her name. This pony did so many bad things during her visit, it definetly beat all the good things she's done in her life!
"Are you sure?,"I asked Derpy," I thought she didn't leave in Ponyville."
"She didn't." Derpy replied." But she moved here around the time Tirek came."
"Where?"
"Follow me.."
I followed Derpy away from the barrier, looking back at a far distance. Don't worry girls..I'll be there soon enough.

"You're asking Trixie..to help her?!"
Arriving at Trixie's house from the barrier had been a hard trip. Trust me, dodging flying objects and crazy weather is harder then Derpy made it look like. This pony better agree..
"Yes, Trixie." Derpy sighed, rolling her eyes in annoyance.
"B-But..she's a nuisance!" Trixie shouted." She absolutely ruins everything!"
"Like what." Derpy asked.
"W-Well.."
"Ha! So you have nothing!" I spoke up. Derpy and Trixie looked at me, coldly, making me move back a bit.
"Anyway! Why would Trixie help any of you?!" Trixie said, resuming the conversation."
"I don't know. Maybe the fact that if you don't, Equestria will stay like this forever and we will eventually all die.." Derpy smirked. Trixie looked at her, in a scared way. I had to admit, Derpy had gotten a lot scarier during these past months.
"Well, Trixie guesses you are right.."
"I always am.." Derpy said.
"Ya..." Trixie twisted her lips." When are we going?"
"Right now."
Derpy dragged Trixie out of her house, and launched her onto her back. Trixie struggled with Derpy for a while before finally deciding her attempts were useless and stopped. Derpy looked at me, in a way only I could understand to be pride. After that, she launched into the air with Trixie and they raced to the barrier.
I looked at them for a second, Derpy had gotten fast. I remember a long time ago, I used to be fast. The fastest pony in all of Ponyville. I wasn't really into flying anymore...it reminded me too much of...her...
I walked after the 2, my head drooping down low. Someday, maybe I will fly again. But until that day, I'll continue to be on the ground and dodging meteors.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
After Trixie had dug us across the barrier, it was uphill from there. The world outside the barrier was beautiful, full of life. Just like Ponyville, before the bad times. I smiled, nudging Derpy a bit as we continued to go into the forest. The sound of animals ringed through my ears, Fluttershy would've loved this. I missed her...her cute way of getting scared and her shy yet brave actions.
"Will you stop standing there?!"
A voice interrupted my thoughts as I looked towards an annoyed Trixie. Derpy was already far ahead both of us and I hadn't realized that I had been standing in one place instead of walking.
"Sorry..Trixie.."
Trixie's eyes softened up, she looked at me carefully.
"It's about them..isn't it."
"What are you talking about?" I deflected.
"Your friends..especially the pink menace."
"She's not a menace! She's just...unique."
"Exactly my point."
"Look-"
Something interrupted me as the sound of leaves rustling caught my attention. I looked over Trixie's shoulder and gazed at the bushes. Something yellow was inside of them, probably a lost animal. I walked up to it.
"It's okay little guy." I laughed. But what I saw wasn't an animal.
"Fluttershy?!"
