Chapter 1: Hearth's Warming Eve
Soarin’s POV
“Soarin! We’re late for Hearth's Warming Eve! I have a play to perform! Let’s gooooooo!” Rainbow Dash grabbed my hand and sprinted through the hallways. It was Hearth's Warming Eve at our school. I blushed really hard at the touch of her hand. She’s my best friend, my sports captain and my secret crush. The only one who knows about it is my best guy friend Rapid Fire and Lightning Streak. Rainbow didn’t seem to notice though. She’s still considering me as her childhood friend. Well, at least that’s better than nothing… Okay you get it. I’m desperate! I love her so much! I just want to pin her down and kiss her right now!!!!.... Well that was a little embarrassing. Of course I know she wouldn’t like me like me. I’m her BFF and nothing more! At least, in her point of view…
Rainbow’s POV
Soarin and me were running down the hallways. I was literally dragging him since his legs didn't seem to be working. We were late. Super late. And….
CRASH! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
Okay. We made it to the speech room. Barely. We kinda… how should I put this? Crash…Yeah…Ouch.
“Bye Soar. Gotta go on stage in 30 seconds!!!” I gasped, quickly hugged him (that's what we do since we were kids, don't get any ideas), sprinting to the stage and into the curtains. All of my best friends were there, staring at my angrily. Twilight was slightly annoyed.
“Rainbow Dash! I simply cannot BELIEVE you could be late for this. The whole crowd is waiting for us!” She overreacted.
“I’m not that late you know?” I said, trying to find my costume. These are really hot and itchy clothes. OF COURSE I would be late!
“Ye’re early for wha’? 10 seconds before the play?” Apple Jack asked me. “Yea. Way too early ma friend.” She then added sarcastically.
"Ooh! Ooh! They are all cheering for us! The lights are dimming! Does this mean that we’re starting? Wait – is that a banner with big ‘GO CAPTAIN’ letters written on it?” Pinkie showered us with questions when the light dimmed down a little.
"Pinkie darling, go puff your hair." Rarity said tiredly. This showed me that Pinkie's question tornado has happen more than once today.
“Okay girls, we’re on in 3,2,1. Good luck!” Vice Principal Luna started counting down as she signaled us to go on stage. That was when I saw the big ‘GO CAPTAIN’ banner Pinkie was talking about earlier. It was held up high by the whole soccer team. Then I saw Soarin mouthing ‘Good luck’ towards me. I nodded and waited for Vice Principal Luna to signal for the play to start.
Vice Principal Luna’s POV (cuz I can)
I smiled at the banner the soccer team made for Ms.Dash, my secret favourite student. The reason why I adore her is she’s confident, active and loyal – all the things that I am not. She’s different from all of the kids. She’s not one of those goody two shoes. I was more like Ms. Timid when I was their age. Oh, it’s time for the play to start.
“The History of Hearth's Warming Eve – performed by our students:
Twilight Sparkle as Clover the Clever of the Magical kingdom
Rarity Jewel as Princess Platinum of the Magical kingdom
Apple Jack as Smart Cookie of the Earth tribe
Pinkamena Dianne Pie as Chancellor Puddinghead of the Earth tribe
Fluttershy Timid as Private Pansy of the Weather city
Rainbow Danger Dash as Commander Hurricane of the Weather city
And side actors… The play shall begin!”
Everybody clapped as I raised a thumbs up for the girls to wish them luck.

Soarin’s POV
The soccer team and me were heading out the speech room, carrying the big banner we made for Dashie. Spitfire and Fire Streak were talking about something with Misty and Surprise. Lightning seems to be very uncomfortable after the play. Suddenly he shouted really loud, “SOARIN WAS DROOLING!” And he let out a sign of relief. Shoot. I knew that guy couldn’t handle secrets. The others stopped their conversation and stared at me.
“Over what?” Misty questioned.
“We can’t tell! We promised Soarin!” Rapid Fire sounded very firm. Good. At least he’s trustworthy.
“Rapid…Honey tell me…” Misty flirted with Rapid as he tried his best to not laugh at how bad Misty's flirts are. Shit. I forgot they are a couple.
“Soarin…. drooled…” That was all he managed to say. Then he was drowned in laughter. I want to die right now. If they know about –
“Hey guys!” A familiar voice called. I turned around and saw a sexy Commander Hurricane smiling at us.
“Okay…now I know what Soarin was drooling over…” Thunderlane said, staring at Rainbow’s revealing costume.
“Wha – what are you staring at?!” Rainbow stammered as she covered herself with her hands. We all laugh our heads off and Rainbow said, “I gotta go. But to congratulate how AWESOME I was up on stage, how about another Victory Sleepover at my room?"
“Yay! Captain’s room is da best!” Surprise jumped up and squealed.
"I love to joke around with your roommate! She's such a drama queen!" Fleetfoot chuckled. The others high fived Rainbow as she left to go with her BFFs.
"Get ready Soarin and Thunderlane. Tonight's gonna be the best night of your life!" Lightning joked after Rainbow left as the whole team laughed.
Just you wait Thunderlane! She's my BFF! She's my crush! You better watch your back since I'm gonna squeeze you like what I did with my oranges in the morning if you dare to flirt with her! SHE'S MINE! ALL MINE!!!! ....Uh, hehe, I mean.....hehe....you know what? Forget what I just said...
Rarity's POV
Rainbow Dash walked towards us. She was still wearing her costume. I must say it really suits her. The hat is dark grey and golden and - WAIT - IS RAINBOW BLUSHING????
"Rainbow Dash! You are b-blushing?!" I exclaimed.
"What? No! I just - um - got hit by a ball! Hehe" She protested, but her blush even grew bigger.
"Right. Rainbow Dash got hit by a ball without killin' the person who did it. Come on. Ya stink at lying! And it's comin' from me!" Apple Jack's southern accent is funny as normal. What? It's hilarious how she talks!
"Whatever Rainbow Dash. Today I'm shooting a video so you and your team better be quiet. OR ELSE!
"Let me guess. You're throwing diamonds everywhere and singing 'Shine Bright Like a Diamond' filmed by Spike?" She smirked.
"M-maybe. But that's not my point!" I stammered. That was what I had in mind. Since when did she know how to read minds?
"Hehe, my team never learn from our mistakes." Rainbow smiled sheepishly. "Let's just hope that this time is not going to be like last victory sleepover."
Even though my tomboyish best friend has horrible taste at fashion, I need to agree that I shall not repeat last victory sleepover. I'm Rainbow's roommate FYI.
Flashback
Fleetfoot dear! That dress does not need your coffee to spill on it. Soarin, Fire Streak and Lightning Streak! I demand you 3 to put those jewelries down! Surprise darling, that eye shadow shade looks,..um...not so charming on you...*barf* Misty and Rapid! You two cannot draw on my bed sheets! Oh. My. Diamond. SPITFIRE! YOU'RE SHREDDING MY MAGENTA CURTAINS! STOP THAT AT ONCE! URGH!!! RAINBOW DASH!!!!!!! THIS SPAGHETTI ARE LIKE STICKS! HOW CAN WE EAT THIS???!!!

"You are very right darling. Tonight I will cook. Not that you're not an...um....amazing cook." I sighed as I started filing my perfect purple nails.
"Deal!" Rainbow jumped up and punched her fist in the air. I know she's really horrible at things usually girls would do like washing clothes, cook, sewing,... so it's a better idea if I cook.
"Well, Me and Flutters are goin' to hit the hay. Righ' Flutters?" Apple Jack turned her head to Fluttershy, who was looking at the sky blankly.
"Oh, right. What she said." She blushed as Apple Jack rolled her eyes.
"Well, I think I would invite Cheese over to play my new twister game! Sorry if we are loud tonight Twi." Pinkie said, strangely in a normal tone a normal person would speak at.
"I'm inviting Flash over. Hey maybe we could make it a double twister date Pinks!" Twilight exclaimed as she pulled Pinkie to their dorm room. "See ya! Woah Twi, too fasttttttt!!!!"
"Well I need to pick up some stuffs for tonight. Wanna go Rares?" Rainbow Dash asked me. I smiled at Fluttershy and AJ. "Have fun you guys." And turned away. I don't know if Fluttershy knew what I meant, since she was blushing furiously. I knew that Fluttershy was having a crush on AJ for the longest of times! Oh well, right now I need to worry about my beautiful room first. I'll make sure you won't be shredded again my curtains....
Chapter 2!
Soarin's POV all the way down
“Get ready! We are heading to Dash’s room in 10 minutes!” Spitfire told the whole team. We were all in Lightning Streak’s and my room. Fleet was applying night cream that smells like...*sniff* …perfume? Thunderlane and Rapid were talking about something and was laughing really loudly. Lightning and me were packing things up for the whole team. The others were somewhere.... Suddenly, Fire Streak asked no one in particular, “How did we meet Dash anyways?” This question wasn’t meant to be really serious, but everyone stopped and started remembering how we met Dash.
Flashback
It was the freshmen fair at CHS. Spitfire, Fleetfoot, Rapid Fire, the Streak twins and I were in Cloudsdale high together, and are all moving to CHS when we reached grade 5.
“Sheesh, these kids are spoiled little royals. This school is for royals and wealthy people after all. We should be lucky we have an opportunity to learn here, but I doubt we’re going to fit in….” Spitfire mumbled loudly. She has always hated nosy little brats, and is assuming the students here are like that just because they are rich. Typical Spits.
“I don’t know, they could be nice, you know. We will fit in for sure!” I blurted out before I could cover my mouth.
“Yeah. Since we are WAY BETTER at sports than they are and can totally make them adore us!” Fleetfoot said sarcastically. They maybe royal and posh, but their soccer team can play!
Before we transfer to CHS, we have played against them before.
We walked through the surprisingly not crowded hallways. It’s the 1st day of school for Celestia’s sake!
“Urgh!!! Aunt Tia, I hate this uniform! Can I just wear my normal clothes?” I heard a voice coming out of a room with gold ‘Principal’ letters carved on the door. It sounded like an 8 years old boy.
“Ms. Dash, your parents have paid more than the enough just to help you learn how being feminine is good. And you ARE a girl. Remember that.” Another voice said, but lower and more adult – like.
“What’s THAT supposed to mean???”
“Dash, we are a proud school. We need to have uniforms to keep our reputation. Now go and enjoy the 1st day of school.”
“Fine…” The first voice said.
Suddenly, the door crack opened and a girl walked out.
She has this crazy, tangled up rainbow hair. She looks even sloppier and tomboyish than Spitfire, the most tomboyish girl I know! All of us stood there, staring at her like she’s the only thing to look at. She must be very ticked at us as she growled at us furiously not long after that.
“WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?”
“N-n-not-nothing…” Spitfire stuttered fearfully. That is a real keeper. Spitfire has never been so scared in her entire life! She finally managed to apologize to the scary’ girl.
“W-we are so sorry. We are new here. My name is Spitfire, and these are my friends Soarin, RapidFire, Fleetfoot, Lightning Streak and Fire Streak.”
The girl examined us from head to toe, then mumbled something like ‘this is all the school can get for newbies?’ but then looked at us with a friendlier face. She didn’t smile to be exact, but this is way better than the yelling.
“Name’s Rainbow Dash. Call me Dash.” She said calmly. Suddenly, RapidFire let out a fan boy scream as he pointed towards Rainbow Dash and stuttered.
“She-she’s-shesheshe-Rainbow-she”
“Spit it out already!” I lost my patience and shouted louder than I expected.
“Don’t you recognize who she is? She’s Rainbow Dash – daughter of THE Spectrum Streak and THE Firefly and is the captain of CHS’ sports team that kicked our flanks last tournament!” He shrieked with excitement and soon being joined by all of us except for Spits. What? She’s famous!
“Oh my freaking god! I can’t believe I didn’t recognize you! Pardon me, your royal um – studentness.” Lightning Streak bent down on her knees and held Dash’s hand, trying to kiss it.
“Yuck! You guys! I’m not those stuck up famous royals! Sheesh, no need to be so formal!” She pushed Lightning playfully and then we all laughed our heads off. I caught a glimpse of Rainbow Dash trying to hold her laugh but then let out a small smile anyways. That was the cutest smile I’ve ever seen!!!
“Since you guys are new here, you could go to Aunt Tia and she’ll show you around the school.” Dash said as she pointed at the door she went through earlier.
“Aunt Tia?”
“Oh, I meant Principal Celestia. She’s one of my mom’s closest friends.”
“Ok then. Is there…um…any chance that YOU could show us around instead of the principal?” I blurted out before I could stop myself, earning a death glare from Spitfire.
“M-me? You want me to show you around?”
“Yes!!!” We all shouted, making Spitfire face palmed.
“Well, okay then. Which class do you have in first period?”
“Me and Rapid are having history.” Fleet reported.
“I have literacy with Fire Streak.” Spitfire said.
“I have science at first period.” I sighed. No one’s having science. Tragic…
“Dude, I’m having science too!” My pal Lightning Streak smirked at me and we started singing awkwardly, “We’re together, we’re together!”
“Well then, I guess we should get to it Mr. Streak and Mr. Soarin.” Dash moved near to us and slapped us on the back.
It’s the hardest slap ever! My back was burning.
“Ouch…Meanie weenie…” Lightning whined, making Dash chuckled. “C’mon, you don’t wanna be late on your first day. See you guys at the locker hallways later!” She waved to Spitfire, Rapid, Fire Streak and Fleet as we walked off.

“And that is how homogenous mixtures can not be seen. Heterogeneous on the other hand…” Harshwhinny kept yapping on and on about this science stuffs. I’m officially bored. I wish someday Harshwhinny would choke on her own words. I bet NOBODY is learning ANYTHING. I was actually trying to pay attention and taking notes!!! Darn…I know, I know, the newbies need to learn properly on the 1st day of school, but this is beyond boredom. All lame stuffs…Oh! New kid other than me and my friends! New kid with minty hair!!! He’s as bored as I am I think. I tapped the new kid on the shoulder.
“Hi, I’m Soarin. What’s your name?”
“H-hi, my name is Thunderlane.” The kid said nervously.
“Yeah. Whatever.” I rolled my eyes. “Are you bored? Cause I am.”
“Actually, bored is not the right word here.” Thunderlane said, feeling way more confident. “I learned homogenous and heterogeneous mixtures precisely 2 years, 4 months and 10 days ago. Did you know that a homogenous mixtures could do-” He kept on yapping and yapping about Luna knows what. I sighed and turned my attention back to my book.
Lightning Streak was focusing on the work. I waved at him but he didn’t even notice. I sighed. Wait a minute. There’s still one more person I could talk to…
I searched the room for a rainbow head and…BINGO!
“Hey Rainbow.” I heard snores. She was probably dead because of boredom…
“Rainbow Dash…Dasher…Dash…”
“Dashie?” What a cute name for a cute girl. Dash woke up shockingly.
“Wha- cool and awesome –huh? Soarin?”
“Hello Dashie!” I said pretty loudly.
“What? Dashie???” She shouted at me, putting on that wtf face.
“Shhhh!” Ms. Dash and Mr. Skies, do you have something to share with the class?” Mrs. Harshwhinny raised an eyebrow at us. Before I could open my mouth, Dash stood up and yelled:
“THIS CLASS IS SO BORING! DISMISS US OR WE’LL DIE!” My jaws hung opened. “Ms. Dash! Because of your unacceptable attitude, you and Ms. Skies will have detention. Stay after class!”
“Oh gawd…” I muttered. The bell rang to show that we have another class coming up. Dash stood up, grabbed my hand and ran out of the class.
“Ms. Dash and Mr. Skies! You have detention, remember???” Harshwhinny yelled after us but we kept on running and laughed our heads off.
“Yep…” We said. “Haiz...so much for my first impression…”Thunderlane mumbled as I snickered loudly. I like Rainbow, a lot. It’s a bit weird for a bff to like a bff, but what the hay, I can do whatever I want. This is my life, right?
Best Victory Sleepover Ever?
Rainbow's POV
Okay. You can do this RD.
I've been 'sorting' video games for all of us to play tonight. And by 'sorting' I mean playing. I'm serious. I'm really easy to be distracted. It's 7:30pm, which means I've been playing video games for 2 and a half hours. Amazing, right?
Rares is cooking some stuffs down stairs. I really hope she called pizza or burgers 'cuz I love them. Speaking of food, I've just realised that I'm super hungry. I paused 5 Nights at Freddy's and went downstairs, where the kitchen is.
The kitchen was filled with food like it was Thanksgiving or something. I just rolled my eyes and grab a bottle of coke and started making my way upstairs again. Just then, my awesome sixth sense told me that Rarity was grinning mischievously behind me, which is super weird since she was always lecturing to me about how ladies should smile softly, not grinning as big as Joker's mouth. I turned around and surprisingly, it was true. (N-not that my sixth sense is always wrong or anything!)
"Um....can I help you?" I asked her, standing on the steps of the stairs. Hey, don't expect me to go down there! If you know Rarity as long as I've been knowing her, you know that standing still is the best choice.
"Rainbow Dash. I really want to plan your Victory Sleepover just this once. I-"
"NO WAY!!!" I shouted. Rarity's not even in the sport team!
"Humm...What if we make a deal. If I win one of your...video games, I will plan your Victory Sleepover."
"And if I win...."
"I'll do one of your...urgh morning routine exercises....sounds fair?"
"Let's do this fashion frock!"
We raced up to my room (I won of course) and started playing. After about an hour or 2, she won. Yes. SHE WON LIKE WHAT THE **** (don't tell your parents kids) She just press random buttons! How could SHE beat ME?! And now SHE can plan MY victory sleepover! I can imagine it! Brrrrr.....nothing's as scary as Rarity planning a party.
"Oh well, looks like I won Rainbow. I shall be ready in about 15 minutes! Call your friends to come! This victory sleepover shall be the best one yet!"
Rarity squealed as she darted into her room, possibly getting decorations. I called my friends and waited. And waited.

"Hey people! We're here!" RapidFire's weird high pitched voice woke me up from my nap. Urgh, he does that all the time after the sleepover. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Ha...weird. My room has no decoration. No streamers, no banners, no nothing. I've always thought that Rarity will turn our room into some kind of 'Princess Chamber'. Oh well, good for me.
I went down the stairs when I saw the thing I thought I wouldn't see tonight. Elegant pink and purple streamers, pink bean bags and fancy pillows, pink and purple tables with a selection of fancy food. Oh god no. This isn't real. I'm having a nightmare. Wake up, idiot, wake up! Oh no. This is real. Why are there PINK, SPARKLY GEMS in our room?!
"Wow Dash, never thought you would take my ideas seriously." Fleetfoot grinned at me, her nose expanding full of pride.
Well, enough pride to make her nose explode.
The others just rolled their eyes at the bubbly Fleet and unpack their sleeping bags. Spitfire, Lightning and Fire looked around. Spitty looked....curious. That's when I pointed towards Rarity and she snorted. Soarin, Rapid and Thunderlane automatically jumped on the bean bags and pillows, relaxing. Rarity walked by and giggled.
"Well you guys look comfy. There's food, music and fun. But first, could you all change into your pyjamas?"
"Sure. Come on guys! I wanna taste that bejewelled apple pie!" I heard Soarin yelled up stairs.
He can be really fast at times. Thunderlane too. They would make good attackers on the field. If only they could cooperate. They always fight, I mean, what's your deal dude? Is there something to fight over? Man - up!

"Yum! That pie is the best! Any chance you could bake it again Rare?" Thunderlane asked, turning around to face Rarity.
"Anytime darling! But now, it's for the fun part! Who's ready for......SPIN THE BOTTLE?"
"Ew no way! I am NOT kissing these losers!" Fleetfoot jumped. Literally.
"How about truth or dare?" Soarin asked. "I always have the best dares!"
"Again, Soar, your 'eat a burrito' isn't a dare. Burritos are good man!" I laughed.
Soarin pouted playfully. He hates burritos for some reason. Burritos are the best! Well, behind pizza, but still!
We started playing truth or dare. It's now Fleet's turn. She always chicken out. Daring her is no fun, not like daring me! I can do anything! I'm a....DARE DEVIL! That's right!
"Okay Fleet....Truth or dare?" RapidFire asked, all spookily and stuff.
"Truth!"
"Um...How many boys did you make out with?" Thunderlane quickly said, grinning evilly at Fleet.
Fleet blushed, but she raised her hands and slightly shook her head like she was defeated or something.
"10,11,12....Lost count. Around 15 or 20 or something like that."
"That's a lot dear!"
"Okay okay enough about me! Dash, truth or dare?" Fleet changed the subject quickly and turned to me to ask for help.
"Dare, of course! I'm not a coward like you Fleet!"
"Let's see about that." Lightning chuckled as he scooted over to Fleet and whispered something in her ear. Fleet giggled.
Oh no. They are planning something. Better run before they get the chance to speak.
"I need a bathroom break!" I said as I quickly stood up but Soarin grabbed my shirt and pulled me down.
Note to Self: Kill Soarin when he's asleep.
"Woah missy. Sit back down!" He chuckled and turned to Lightning Streak.
"Okay Dash, I dare you to........."
