The Rainbows of Life
Prologue: Trucking Fiasco
Load Full StoryWildfire Blaze was always one of the rebellious types, regularly making trouble around the Equestrian Isles, along with her friends Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.
After being enrolled as a spectra transporter for the Cloudsdale Weather Corporation, the things she glimpsed of the spectra creation in the Rainbow Factory, haunted her to the point where the images erased any thoughts of rebellious streaks in her brain, leaving her a broken shell of what she formerly was, the only thoughts ever on her mind were those of, "I'm never letting them take me inside there!!" and, "Focus on the job and they won't put you in there."
However, after hearing of Dash's involvement in the Factory, especially her role as General Manager, she snapped: Her friend was part of this horrible ordeal and she would do everything in her power to stop it continuing.
So, one day, she decides to turn on the CWC, and drive her SCANIA T730 8x2*6 tanker truck, into the Factory while she was making a run to the Factory for more spectra.
I sit in the cab of my SCANIA, tears streaming from my eyes as my brain processes the information.
"No." I say to myself. "This can't be true. My friend, Manager of the Rainbow Factory."
I growl as rage and fury flows through my veins and my knuckles go white as I grip the leather steering wheel, tightly.
'I have to end this once and for all. And the only way to do that would be to destroy the factory and it just so happens that I am sitting in the right tool for the job.' I think to myself.
I shift the gear lever into 'auto' mode and press my right foot onto the accelerator and the tanker pulls forward; slowly at first, but it gradually builds up speed as the auto gearbox slides through all 12 gears the SCANIA has to offer.
A few minutes of driving later, I see the Factory loom into view; the towering, grey monolith that is the main building, bringing the memories of what is inside of there back to the front of my mind.
I shake my head as I dispel the images back to the deepest and darkest corner of my brain and focus on the task at hand.
I look around inside the cab for anything to wedge the accelerator into a permanently fully pressed position.
After a few minutes of searching I find the perfect tool, a hammer, and wedge the head of the hammer onto the accelerator as I take my foot of it, making sure it is fully pressed down. I then wedge the handle into the base of the dashboard. I make sure it will not budge, which it doesn't, and then prepare to make my escape.
As the truck draws nearer and I feel that I would be a safe distance away from the Factory that the explosion won't harm me, I fling the door open and swan dive out of the cab, landing hard on the asphalt, my right shoulder happening to be the first thing that hit.
I tumble around on the ground for a minute, before I finally come to a stop. I sit up, just in time to see the SCANIA crash through the entrance gates and into the side of the main tower: The cab crashes through the side of the tower and into a back-up generator, crushing flat against it, unfortunately not exploding it, but the trailer does that action for the truck; the trailer flying off the fifth wheel, smashing into the crushed cab and exploding the generator.
The resulting explosion was so big that I could feel the heat of it, even from my safe position, a fair distance away from the Factory.
I stand up and punch the air in celebration, but I am cut short as the shock wave from the explosion knocks me off my feet and onto my back. I don't care though as I just lie there, my eyes closed as I smile in accomplishment.
