Her eyes were almost bigger then Mac's when he'd seen them. 'Why, Mac Twilight's map is summon'n ya! I had no clue it could send ponies that aren't the holders of the Elements!" She paused for a moment in confusion then seen her big brother who looked like she just turned into a vampire pony. She mumbled something to herself but Big Mac didn't hear. Then Applejack turned her gaze over to look him directly in the eye," Ah know I sometimes run off for a while, but I make up for it by putting in extra effort when ah get back to work, that goes the some for you ye hear?" What in tarnation did that all mean?!Then he realized Applejack had spoken again and he stiffly nodded and said," Eeyup.." Applejack then spoke up again," Ah reckon y'd better get to Twilight's castle soon, she'll be expecting ya." Twilight continued" I'm not sure why but it wants you to find an ogre tribe called the "BloodSpear" tribe" He could see Fluttershy was now shaking in fear as she shrunk even smaller, Celestia knows how she was already as small as she could get, at least he thought so. "You'd better get going if you want to be there by the end of the week." Twilight said and looked at Fluttershy with a hint of sympathy toward the timid pegasus. " I know it's scary Fluttershy but you need to get find the Bloodspear tribe, I doubt you can skip this mission." *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Fluttershy tried to shrink even more and hide in her mane but she knew Twilight wouldn't leave her alone until she agreed to go. So she slowly came out of her mane and Twilight looked at her with an encouraging smile. The sympathy must've been replaced by encouragement. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes she knew Twilight meant well but sometimes all of the encouragement could be annoying. Twilight's smile grew a bit as she seen her yellow friend emerge from her pink hair that was hiding the yellow until now and said" Good, okay so you will need to start here..." Fluttershy looked to where Twilight pointed and sighed she might as well get this over with and she'll never have to do it again, until the map sends her on some other mission with her friends. She wondered why the map had sent Big Mac,and she had noticed how he always acted weird around her. To Fluttershy that was like cutting Angel's paw off and wearing it around her neck. How could she ignore such cute little creatures. Twilight shooed them out the door with saddlebags filled with supplies they'd need sitting on Fluttershy and Big Mac's back. Fluttershy was wrong. These so called 'cute little critters' were savage beasts. Fluttershy and Big Mac had run into a three foot long squirrel that tried to eat off her head, thankfully Big Mac bucked it unconscious so they could get away. A few minutes later Fluttershy exclaimed as she sighed in relief and lowered her head to shoulder height, "Oh thank you Big Mac, I would've been a goner!" then she heard a twig snap. Her and Big Mac's heads swiveled over to the bushes where the twig snapped. Then there was a rustling in the bushes, the two made eye contact for a split second until Fluttershy darted swiftly run through the moist leaves and was struggling to dodge trees and stay as quiet as possible, but it was impossible with Big Mac's running, uhmm.. crashing would be a better word for it, behind her. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac's huffing and puffing could probably be heard from a mile away when he noticed how swiftly the pegasus ran. He paused his thoughts for a moment and chuckled a bit to himself, he'd never would have thought he would say, uhh 'think' I guess you could say, that a pegasus was running for dear life instead of flying. The chuckle was replaced by panic and fear as the squirrel that he had bucked earlier jumped onto his back with it's claws outstretched. " AGHHH!!" Big Mac yelped in pain as the squirrel sunk it's claws into his flank. He started bucking as he ran but that only made the squirrel angrier and it clambered toward his neck and took a chunk of skin off of it. His scream was even louder and more pain filled then the last," AHHHHHG!?!?!!!" he screeched "YOU CELESTIA DAMNED VARMIN!!" he screamed and stopped running to swivel his head around to look the squirrel square in the eyes. The hatred in his eyes made the squirrel step back a bit and Big Mac bit down on the thing's paw and threw it across the clearing. He looked over to see Fluttershy staring and the injured animal a mixture of shock, fear, and pain in her eyes. This confused him for a minute until he tasted the metallic taste in his mouth and he spit out a finger that had once been attatched to that thing's paw. Gross! He thought as he spit out as much of the crimson liquid that had been in his mouth as he could. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_ Fluttershy had her eyes glued to the nine fingered squirrel that lay limp on the ground. She could feel her eyes watering up a bit as she finally turned her gaze over to the red and orange stallion spitting out blood,"I know that h-he hurt you-" her voice was breaking" b-b-but did you have to b-bite it's f-finger off." a small stream of tears now ran down her face. She could tell Big Mac wanted to say something and she looked at him expectantly but nothing came out. Fluttershy trotted over to the squirrel cautiously, afraid it might get up and try to claw her eyes out but it lay still and didn't even twitch when her hoof touched it softly. She inspected it's paw and seen that Big Mac only bit off half of his finger. She shivered and dug into her saddlebag to take out the first aid kit. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac wanted to object when he saw Fluttershy taking out her first aid kit but he decided against it she'd probably feel better if she helped it, though it made him uneasy, what if it woke up and bit off one of her ears? After Fluttershy had finished cleaning and wrapping up the squirrel's paw it woke up. Fluttershy flinched a bit as it's head lifted up, it was about to take a blow at her,and Big Mac was prepared to get rid of it once and for all even if Fluttershy hated him forever for it. Then it looked at it's missing finger and growled at it turned it's head over to him. Fluttershy quickly picked it up and the squirrel it was getting ready to hit her once more when she started snuggling it. This took the squirrel completely by surprise and it just stared at her, but the surprise passed when realization hit the creature. Then it started making a purring sound. Bic Mac was disgusted, not by Fluttershy but by the squirrel, what kind of animal attacks somepony, nearly takes her head off and injures her friend then suddenly has a change of heart and purrs at her. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes, this thing reminded him a lot of Angel bunny. Angel would be a jerk to Fluttershy all day, or at least when Big Mac seen him, then the next day be, well an angel. Big Mac didn't understand how she put up with him. Fluttershy started baby talking it a bit until she sat it on the ground and it whined. Big Mac was ready to go the faster they found this ogre tribe the faster they could get home and go about their lives. Finally she'd talked it into leaving and going back home, thank Celestia that thing finally let her go! Big Mac looked at the map that was in his saddlebag for a minute and soon they were back on track. *_*_*_*__*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* They walked through the now dark and musty forest silently. Fluttershy took in the scenery, it was scary. She wanted to be home in her cottage having a tea party with Angel but she knew you can't always get what you want. She sighed softly. This was the first time Big Mac has really talked to her just to talk other then telling her what they might find within the next few miles," Oh, well it's nothing... it's just I'd rather be home then.. here." she said softly. From the looks of it this place was in a drought, weird aren't the pegas- oh, she forgot there are no pegasi to control the weather here. She decided to fly up to a tree and see if it would be more comfortable up there. Fluttershy had settled herself down on a thick branch, her back pressed against the trunk of the tree. She peered around and saw Luna's moon gazing at her, she smiled. At least she could see one thing from home. She closed her eyes and sighed softly. I wish I were home in my soft bed with Angel. She opened her eyes again and the hairs on her neck stood up, she could feel something watching her she looked around and seen two yellow, merciless eyes glaring at her. To make things worse she couldn't even cry, she was paralyzed in fear. Fluttershy knew she was a goner as she seen ten more sets of eyes appear, she closed her eyes hoping her end would come quickly. One of the creatures emerged and growled. It was a green-skinned ogre covered in iron armor. Her and Big Mac must've already been in ogre territory. She could've sworn it was a few more miles north. The ogre gave an ear piercing roar and the others emerged from the bushes. It gave a sign with it's hand and it charged. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac heard a roar and this made him push himself harder, he had to get to Fluttershy before something bad happened. He heard another shriek and then more roars and birds emerging from treetops in fear. His face lost all of his blood and the usually red fur on his face seemed a bit paler. Then he heard another shriek, Fluttershy was fine, at least he hoped. He followed the birds fleeing from treetops, yelling from the attackers, and occasional scream from Fluttershy. Suddenly Big Mac burst into a clearing with a green creature raising a mace over a terrified Fluttershy with blood coming from a few scratches on her canary coat. Out of panic he jumped in front of a now confused ogre. The ogre growled and Big Mac growled back. *_*_*__*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Fluttershy almost knew she was a goner she had been brushed by the occasional axe or mace and now there was blood streaming from the scratched parts on her body. She now lay on the ground at the mercy of the ogre that ordered the others around. She cried out one more time before it raised it's mace it was about to strike her when Big Mac burst into the clearing and jumped in front of her. Tears began streaming from Fluttershy's eyes, not from fear, not from pain, but from the joy of Big Mac being there to save her. The ogre growled and Big Mac growled back the only thing she could to was watch in fear of what could happen to Big Mac against nine ogres. Then suddenly an old looking ogre with a white beard and eyebrows emerged from the bushes, his eyes showed calmness with a hint of anger. He made some signs with his hands and gave the ogre confronting Big Mac a scolding look. The elderly ogre spoke with a dumbness in his voice but he seemed wiser then the other ones,"I truly sorry ponies, my nephew Axetooth mean no harm, he only protecting BloodSpear territory. Other animals want to take it but they not have it!" He nodded " Please come to camp ponies, we welcome with open arms." He gave a toothy grin.

He paused his thoughts for a moment and chuckled a bit to himself, he'd never would have thought he would say, uhh 'think' I guess you could say, that a pegasus was running for dear life instead of flying. The chuckle was replaced by panic and fear as the squirrel that he had bucked earlier jumped onto his back with it's claws outstretched. " AGHHH!!" Big Mac yelped in pain as the squirrel sunk it's claws into his flank. He started bucking as he ran but that only made the squirrel angrier and it clambered toward his neck and took a chunk of skin off of it. His scream was even louder and more pain filled then the last," AHHHHHG!?!?!!!" he screeched "YOU CELESTIA DAMNED VARMIN!!" he screamed and stopped running to swivel his head around to look the squirrel square in the eyes. The hatred in his eyes made the squirrel step back a bit and Big Mac bit down on the thing's paw and threw it across the clearing. He looked over to see Fluttershy staring and the injured animal a mixture of shock, fear, and pain in her eyes. This confused him for a minute until he tasted the metallic taste in his mouth and he spit out a finger that had once been attatched to that thing's paw. Gross! He thought as he spit out as much of the crimson liquid that had been in his mouth as he could. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_ Fluttershy had her eyes glued to the nine fingered squirrel that lay limp on the ground. She could feel her eyes watering up a bit as she finally turned her gaze over to the red and orange stallion spitting out blood,"I know that h-he hurt you-" her voice was breaking" b-b-but did you have to b-bite it's f-finger off." a small stream of tears now ran down her face. She could tell Big Mac wanted to say something and she looked at him expectantly but nothing came out. Fluttershy trotted over to the squirrel cautiously, afraid it might get up and try to claw her eyes out but it lay still and didn't even twitch when her hoof touched it softly. She inspected it's paw and seen that Big Mac only bit off half of his finger. She shivered and dug into her saddlebag to take out the first aid kit. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac wanted to object when he saw Fluttershy taking out her first aid kit but he decided against it she'd probably feel better if she helped it, though it made him uneasy, what if it woke up and bit off one of her ears? After Fluttershy had finished cleaning and wrapping up the squirrel's paw it woke up. Fluttershy flinched a bit as it's head lifted up, it was about to take a blow at her,and Big Mac was prepared to get rid of it once and for all even if Fluttershy hated him forever for it. Then it looked at it's missing finger and growled at it turned it's head over to him. Fluttershy quickly picked it up and the squirrel it was getting ready to hit her once more when she started snuggling it. This took the squirrel completely by surprise and it just stared at her, but the surprise passed when realization hit the creature. Then it started making a purring sound. Bic Mac was disgusted, not by Fluttershy but by the squirrel, what kind of animal attacks somepony, nearly takes her head off and injures her friend then suddenly has a change of heart and purrs at her. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes, this thing reminded him a lot of Angel bunny. Angel would be a jerk to Fluttershy all day, or at least when Big Mac seen him, then the next day be, well an angel. Big Mac didn't understand how she put up with him. Fluttershy started baby talking it a bit until she sat it on the ground and it whined. Big Mac was ready to go the faster they found this ogre tribe the faster they could get home and go about their lives. Finally she'd talked it into leaving and going back home, thank Celestia that thing finally let her go! Big Mac looked at the map that was in his saddlebag for a minute and soon they were back on track. *_*_*_*__*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* They walked through the now dark and musty forest silently. Fluttershy took in the scenery, it was scary. She wanted to be home in her cottage having a tea party with Angel but she knew you can't always get what you want. She sighed softly. Big Mac heard her and said," Is there somthin' wrong Miss Fluttershy?" This was the first time Big Mac has really talked to her just to talk other then telling her what they might find within the next few miles," Oh, well it's nothing... it's just I'd rather be home then.. here." she said softly. Big Mac said," Eeyup.." Fluttershy felt Big Mac's side brush her feather's slightly. She flinched a bit and slowly walked slightly to the side. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac had tried to inch closer to Fluttershy but when his fur brushed her feathers she shyed away. He resisted a sigh and they continued walking on until Princesses Luna's moon came up and they settled next to an old oak with a fat trunk to rest until morning. Tomorrow they should reach ogre territory they'll need all the energy they could get.
Meeting an Ogre Tribe isn't Very Pleasant Fluttershy opened her eyes. Her and Big Mac had just settled down next to a tree to rest for the night about thirty minutes ago. Big Mac was already snoring loudly in her ears, she tried to fall asleep but she couldn't. She felt like an owl that had forgotten to get a good day of sleep. She sighed and heaved herself up from the dry, prickly, and patchy grass underneath her she looked around and wondered if there was a more moist patch of ground she could lay on. Nothing. From the looks of it this place was in a drought, weird aren't the pegas- oh, she forgot there are no pegasi to control the weather here. She decided to fly up to a tree and see if it would be more comfortable up there. Fluttershy had settled herself down on a thick branch, her back pressed against the trunk of the tree. She peered around and saw Luna's moon gazing at her, she smiled. At least she could see one thing from home. She closed her eyes and sighed softly. I wish I were home in my soft bed with Angel. She opened her eyes again and the hairs on her neck stood up, she could feel something watching her she looked around and seen two yellow, merciless eyes glaring at her. She stared back, her body tensed up and the only noise she could make was a scream. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_**_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac's eyes shot open as a shriek echoed through the trees, it was more of a hushed scream .Oh no, Fluttershy!! He frantically stood up and looked where she was laying before he fell asleep. No, no no no no no!!! He bolted in the direction he could of sworn the scream came from. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Fluttershy sat stiffly on the tree, her eyes locked on the eight eyes now peering at her. She seen more sets of eyes appear. She wanted to run. She wanted to run and never stop, but her legs wouldn't move. Her wings were even more useless locked in place to her sides. To make things worse she couldn't even cry, she was paralyzed in fear. Fluttershy knew she was a goner as she seen ten more sets of eyes appear, she closed her eyes hoping her end would come quickly. One of the creatures emerged and growled. It was a green-skinned ogre covered in iron armor. Her and Big Mac must've already been in ogre territory. She could've sworn it was a few more miles north. The ogre gave an ear piercing roar and the others emerged from the bushes. It gave a sign with it's hand and it charged. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Big Mac heard a roar and this made him push himself harder, he had to get to Fluttershy before something bad happened. He heard another shriek and then more roars and birds emerging from treetops in fear. His face lost all of his blood and the usually red fur on his face seemed a bit paler. Then he heard another shriek, Fluttershy was fine, at least he hoped. He followed the birds fleeing from treetops, yelling from the attackers, and occasional scream from Fluttershy. Suddenly Big Mac burst into a clearing with a green creature raising a mace over a terrified Fluttershy with blood coming from a few scratches on her canary coat. Out of panic he jumped in front of a now confused ogre. The ogre growled and Big Mac growled back. *_*_*__*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Fluttershy almost knew she was a goner she had been brushed by the occasional axe or mace and now there was blood streaming from the scratched parts on her body. She now lay on the ground at the mercy of the ogre that ordered the others around. She cried out one more time before it raised it's mace it was about to strike her when Big Mac burst into the clearing and jumped in front of her. Tears began streaming from Fluttershy's eyes, not from fear, not from pain, but from the joy of Big Mac being there to save her. The ogre growled and Big Mac growled back the only thing she could to was watch in fear of what could happen to Big Mac against nine ogres. Then suddenly an old looking ogre with a white beard and eyebrows emerged from the bushes, his eyes showed calmness with a hint of anger. He made some signs with his hands and gave the ogre confronting Big Mac a scolding look. The elderly ogre spoke with a dumbness in his voice but he seemed wiser then the other ones,"I truly sorry ponies, my nephew Axetooth mean no harm, he only protecting BloodSpear territory. Other animals want to take it but they not have it!" He nodded " Please come to camp ponies, we welcome with open arms." He gave a toothy grin.
