Chapter 1. The summoning.

Five champions. Five chosen heroes from different areas around their world, all carrying different ideals, desires, goals and skills, found themselves summoned to a dark chamber very unlike their usual summoning place. They looked around with a frown upon their faces, with the exception of one single champion, who was sitting in a meditating position, a look of concentration on his expression as he frowned gently.

One of the champions, a black male with a long grey cloak and two special designed guns at his side, stood front and called out “Why have you summoned us here, Summoners? This is not our usual battle-field and it is far from the usual battle-time.” Him frowning in confusion and slight anger at suddenly being summoned from his quest without a given notice or a warning.

Suddenly light appeared down around the many humans around the chamber. Six humans in various sizes and various forms of clothes or armour, and five Summoners, humans with their identity hidden by their purple robes with golden streaks at the sides. One of the Summoners spoke, his voice filled with power and age “Lucian. You and your fellow champions has been called here for a special quest that you all have been chosen personally for, because of your skills and your legendary tales.”

He was about to continue his line, before a woman, in a mix of metal and light clothing with a staff attached to her back, stepped up and asked confused “What do you mean with ‘special quest’?” her voice light and soothing.

One of the other Summoners spoke “Let of finish Lux, and you shall learn of what quest you have been chosen for.” A light tone of scolding in his tone, as Lux huffed and crossed her arms, while another male, a larger male wearing a thick suit of heavy metal armour, stepped up and said with a frown.

“You shall not speak to my sister that way!” The Summoner, who was spoken to, glared down at the male, who goes by the name of Garen, and was about to call Garen out on his insolence, before another Summoner called out with power,

“Silence! Stop this meaningless banter and let our brother continue with his explanation!” a warning glare at the other Summoner, who frowned, but nodded none the less as he kept in silence. The Summoner, who had spoken first, nodded in thanks, as he began to explain.

“We are facing a great problem. In our quest to seek our more champions to join the League of Legends, we oversaw a growing problem, which was plotted in the shadows and darkness, out of our unfocused sight. The champions, who has originated from the Shadow Isles have all escaped our grasp and has used our summoning spells to flee to a so far unknown world that we have just learned about, by tracking their magical signature. We need you six, to go to this world, seek them out and destroy them before they can bring their evil to this world, who has no idea of the danger they are.”

The champions all had various expressions, just from disbelief and shock, which was worn by Lux and Garen, to outright anger and rage, from Lucian, as the latter of the group said in rage “I knew those foul beings were up to no good! It is impossible to control those undead creatures!” his fist clenched in pure rage, as he was reminded of what had happened in his past and what he had lost in his hunt for those foul beings from the Shadow Isles.

Finally a fourth member of the group, a very large and muscular male with a thick and heavy shield in one hand, his large chest revealed and only wearing a pair of pants to cover his lower part of his body, spoke in a thick accent “And how many of these champions has escaped?”

The Summoner to the far left said, with a great sign “9 champions of the Shadow Isles, all undead or at least with evil intentions.”

“And why us?” the last voice, belonging to the male in a meditative position, he wore a blind-fold for his eyes, as well as a pair of pants and his chest also revealed, showing his muscular body, spoke up in a calm and collected tone “Why choose us of all the mighty champions at your exposal?”

One of the Summoners, a bit larger figure and younger in appearance, spoke up with a light chuckle “because of your each an individual past and story.” He smiled and looked at the male who had asked the question.

“Lee sin. Your story is tragic and you have shown you are willing to do right to correct your past mistakes. We trust you with this mission, because we know you are incapable of doing any evil, as it goes against your very nature.”

He looked at the two people, the male in thick heavy metal armour and the women in light metal armour. “Garen and Lux, sister and brother. You will fight well together and your sense of justice will prevail and make you take the right choice in the end.”

He looked onto the next champion, the very large male with the heavy shield and thick moustache “Braum. The giant of the Freljord. The kindest and strongest man known. You will protect the innocent and put a stopper to all evil.”

“And finally you, Lucian.” He said, as he spoke to the frowning male with his hands near his energy-guns. “Your story is probably the best reason we could choose you. We know you will never stop, until this quest is done and will see to that every one of the undead champions shall find rest in their undead life.”

Lucian, who was the one who seemed to take charge, snarled, before nodding and said “Fine. We accept your quest.” The other champions nodded in agreement “What can you tell us of this recently discovered world?”

“Not much…” One of the Summoners said with a sigh, “We haven’t had much time to discover it. What we do know, is that it is heavily influenced by magic and has a specie ruling that is unknown to Runeterra, so be warned, when revealing yourselves to the public, as it may spread confusion and terror, if given the wrong first impression.” The champions nodded in understanding as the Summoner continued, “We shall send you there now. There is little time to waste, as each second the undead grows stronger from their needed rest, after having cast such a strong summoning spell on their own.”

The champions nodded and prepared themselves, as each Summoner raised their hands and they began to glow in a brilliant light-blue light, each of the champions felt their bodies slowly transported across dimensions, before they disappeared in a huge burst of magical energy, being sent to places only the gods could help them now.

Meanwhile in the capital of Equestria, in the castle of the capital and inside a certain bedroom of this castle, a pony woke up with a startled expression, but not just any pony. No, the pony who woke up was one of the four ruling princesses and the one that was considered the greatest of them all by many of her subjects. The pony in question was Princess Celestia herself, as she had slept peacefully, until she, with all of her being, had felt a great amount of magical power, the same magical power she had felt days ago of the same strength, strength that surpassed her own and would make even the most skilled unicorns pale in comparison.

She was just about to get out of bed and walk to her sisters room, as said sister appeared in a flash of magical light and said with a serious tone "I assume you felt it too, sister?"

Celestia looked, feeling quite tired, at her sister, Luna and the other princess of Equestria and controller of the moon, and said with a soft worried smile "yeah... I don't know what these powerful surges of magic that has appeared the last few days means, but I can feel it in my bones, that this magic... it can either mean great news to Equestria, or really bad news and I pray it is the first of my guesses."

Luna sighed and walked up to the window, as she looked out over Equestria, covered in the calming and soothing coolness of night, as she said "We can only hope and pray sister... We can only hope and pray."
