Well shoot, I mean, bark?
Sonic the hedgehog, the Blue Blur, is awoken by a soft, gentle female voice calling out. "Breakfast is ready, everyone!"
"What the?" Sonic said. Or at least, he thought he did, but instead of his own voice, a higher pitched, yet somewhat gravelly voice said it instead.
"Okay, this is way past weird!" he cried out as he took a good hard look at himself and his surroundings. He was in what looked like a giant bedroom, and he was nearby a pillow on a very soft bed. He looked at the pillow, and there were a few strands of what appeared to be pink hair.
"Woah," Sonic muttered to himself as he looked at his feet, which were now snow white paws, and stuck what was supposed to be his hand out, but surprise, surprise, another white paw was in its place. He twitched one of his ears, to feel way too much movement in them compared to usual. Confused more than ever, he reached up to touch one of them, and felt that it was longer, softer, and a bit floppier than his normal ears.
His train of thought was interrupted when the door to the room he was in gently opened, Revealing a butter yellow horse with wings, and a soft pink mane that was only slightly wavy. The horse seemed to be looking for something with her wide teal eyes until she saw Sonic just sitting there on the bed.
"There you are, Angel Bunny!" said the winged horse.
"When you didn't show up for breakfast, I got so worried, I even had to ask Discord to help me find you! I made you breakfast anyway, it's your favorite kind of salad, but I couldn't get a cherry again, could you eat it anyway, please?" She set down what appeared to be a glorified pile of lettuce, cucumber, celery, and carrot in a bowl in front of Sonic, while giving him these hopeful, almost desperate eyes. Who's Angel? thought Sonic, Is she talking to me? His train of thought was once again interrupted by a loud growl emurged from his stomach regions. Should I eat whatever the heck it is this chick set in front of me? It might be a trap, the hero pondered, years of falling into traps and being caught in them racing through his mind. Against his good nature, he cautiously grabbed a cucumber and sniffed it before eating it, then slowly making his way through the rest of the salad.
"Oh, thank you, Angel! I didn't want to use the stare on you, and you'll need the energy for our pony-pet playdate today,"
Pony-pet what now? Sonic was now seriously debating if he was awake, half-lucid dreaming, or sane. Suddenly, there was a knocking down what Sonic was almost certain were stairs, then the sound of a door opening then closing. An elegant voice soon followed.
"Fluttershy, dear, I've come to pick up some more of Opalescences food!"
"Oh, that's Rarity!" The winged horse, now known as Fluttershy, said, picking up Sonic unceremoniously and flying downstairs.
"There, you are, Fluttershy, I was just about to come look for you," A white horse with blue eyes, dark purple hair, and a horn sticking out her forehead said. Sonic could only assume this was the Rarity that Fluttershy talked about.
"I'm just here for a few small containers of Opals wet food, nothing more," Rarity said, giving Fluttershy a few gold coins.
"Of course Rarity, I'll go get it right away! Oh, would you mind holding Angel Bunny while I go fetch it?"
"Of course I can Fluttershy, dear! Anything for a friend."
"Thank you, i'll go get Opals food."
Sonic then found himself in Rarity's hooves, who began stroaking his head gently. Sonic decided to use this time to contemplate what was going on.
Okay, apparently i'm a bunny now named Angel and I think I belong to this Fluttershy girl, who's Friends with this Rarity lady, who's petting me, of all things. Sonic then decided that dignity no longer mattered as long as he was in these walls, and soon somewhat relaxed as Rarity continued petting him, and only looked up from almost falling asleep when Fluttershy returned.
"Here you go, Rarity, four containers of wet cat food, just as usual."
"Thank you Fluttershy, I am just so excited for our pony-pet playdate later, though I am a bit concerned for Opalescence today." said Rarity, giving Sonic-Angel back to Fluttershy.
"Oh my, Is something wrong with Opal? I can come help-"
"Oh no, Fluttershy, you musn't worry yourself! All i'm worried about is that opal was sleeping in a bit later than usual, i'm sure she just was dreaming about something and got worked up so she's sleeping it off" Rarity interrupted.
"I should hope so, but i'm a bit worried for Angel too, he slept in later as well, and he didn't complain nearly as much when I couldn't get him a cherry for his salad today."
"I'm sure it's just a coincidence," Rarity shrugged, as her horn glowed and a similar color to her eyes not only covered her horn in what appeared to be sparkling mist, but the bag holding the cat food as well, and Sonic was only a little freaked out when the bag started floating closer to the white horse. And here I was thinking only Silver knew telekinesis. Sonic thought.
"I really must me going now, the last time I left Sweetie Belle alone with Opal too long Sweetie dyed Opals topknot orange!" Rarity said jokingly as she waved goodbye. Fluttershy giggled and waved goodbye as well, then turned and closed the door.
"Alright Angel, I have to go take care of the other critters, then we can start heading to the park for our pony-pet playdate with everypony else. Be good!" Fluttershy then set Sonic on the ground, and trotted into her backyard to do just as she said. Meanwhile, Sonic could only think one thing.
"What have I gotten myself into." He sighed.
