Twilight Sparkle, a teenage scholar, wandered through some sort of boiler room. She was confused as to where she was and why she was here. "Hello, is anyone there?" Twilight called softly. Her only response was the sound of metal scraping against metal. She covered her ears, and shiver went down her spine. "Show yourself!" She cried fearfully. All of a sudden several metal pipes fell from an upper level. The sound surprised her, so in turn she screamed at the top of her lungs. Twilight began to laugh at herself, "It's just some pipes," she chuckled to herself, as if one of her friends were there. She walked up a set of stairs the spiraled up. She could have sworn she heard footsteps behind her, but when she looked back, there was nothing except the stairs. The floor has disappeared. Twilight ran up the stairs as fast as she could, when she reached the top, she saw that the stairs were gone. If fact she was now in a red void. Just her, the rafter she was standing on and an eerie red light. She walked for what seemed like hours until she just stopped. Some outside force held her in place. She stood like this for two whole minutes. A clawed hand reached around Twilight, trying to cut her. It missed her and slashed four holes into her lavender nightgown. A burnt hand grabbed her hair and for a few heartbeats she could see a scarred face and fedora. The image was quickly lost when her fore head collided with the railing, all went black. Twilight woke up on the floor. She had guessed that the dream left her tossing and turning so much, that she flopped out of the bed. But what was strange was that when she touched her head there was blood! She calmed down and realized it was probably from the fall. But when she looked her night gown, there were four holes exactly like the ones in the nightmare. Twilight cleaned the wound and put a large, water-proof, band-aid over it. She grabbed a crucifix she kept in the drawer  and curled up on her bed. She didn't get any sleep for the rest if the night. Twilight got ready for school when morning came. She showered, dressed, and considered staying home. Of course there was no way that Shining Armor would let her. Shining Armor became head of the household when their parent died in a car crash about six years before. Shining Armor was twenty when that happened and was fresh out of the police academy. He rose quickly through the ranks and was rather close to becoming chief. He had subbed a few times and did a damn good job when he did. Many found him too young, but he never lest a case without solving it; and he absolutely didn't let the DA take someone to trial without enough evidence to put them away. And seventy-three percent of the time he even got a confession to boot. Twilight sighed when she heard Shining calling for her. Twi walked downstairs and saw their adoptive brother Spike eating a bowl of Lucky Charms. "Twi I heard some noises from your room," Spike began, "What did Big Mac sneak into your room again." Twilight rolled her eyes, "No, I fell out of bed and hurt my head Spike!" she snapped earning a laugh from the younger male. He could always get a reaction like that from her. "I was about to ask what happened to you're head. How did you fall out of your out of your bed?" Shining asked. Twilight shrugged, "I was having a nightmare, and I guess I just tossed and turned enough to roll out of bed. I guess my head hit the floor pretty hard because I was bleeding," she said conveniently leaving out that part about her night gown being torn "I thought you just popped a giant zit and was hiding the wound," Spike said getting a frown from Twilight, and a chuckle from Shining Armor. "All right, all right. Stop teasing your sister." Shining armor said setting down three plates of food. The three ate bacon, eggs, french toast, and sausage. Twilight had a cup of coffee along with Shining Armor, while Spike had a large glass of OJ. Twilight, after she ate, left for school pretty early, she wanted to talk to the counselor about her dream. She needed to find out what it meant. She arrived at School with a full hour before the first bell. Thankfully the School counselor, Cadence, was there already. Privately they had been good friends long before Twi entered High School. Cadence had babysat her multiple times in the past and they knew each other well. In fact Cadence was the reason that Twilight convinced all her friends to go to their high school. "Cadence, can I talk to you?" Twilight asked softly with a bit of an awkward expression. "Of course Twilight, " Cadence said noticing her expression and the bandage, "Is something wrong?" Twilight sighed, "It's... it's a long story." Twilight wen through every last detail. She had memorized what she saw, heard, felt, smelt, and even the taste of the air. She spoke of the burned man that had attacked her, Cadence listened to what she said and then pulled out a list of names. She saw seven names, including Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Cadence herself. Cadence added Twi's name to the list, "You're the eighth person over the past month to have a nightmare with a burned man. All accounts of this man have been very similar, although you saw the least of him." "I've had dreams like this for almost a week, but I woke and my head was bleeding. My night gown had the exact same cuts as the ones in the dream!" Twi exclaimed. "This is all quite weird Twilight; I'll research this. In the meantime I think you should go home and rest. You don't look so good. "But..." "I'll take the heat. You go home, find a distraction." Twilight sighed, "Maybe you're right. But what about Shining Arm-" Cadence already had a phone in her hand, "I don't think he'll argue with me." Twilight left, At least I can get to the bottom of this she thought as she walked home. The last time she had been this disinterested in something was when she taught her little sister how to cheer. It had been a nightmare, Sweetie Belle, for the life of her, couldn't pull off some of the most simplistic moves. Rarity had taken it slow, and was gentle with the young girl. In the end she decided that Sweetie was still to young for cheering. Sweetie belle had been quite disappointed, but decided her sister was probably right. Rarity was captain of the cheer squad, but despite that, she didn't like very many people on the team. She found most of them to preppy and shallow. Rarity was a bit shallow herself, but she didn't overdue it. One example was last week, "Hey if you're so good at cheering why do you hang out with the bottom of the barrel?" Britney had asked. She looked like some stereotypical dumb blonde with huge tits that you'd find in a horror movie. It didn't help her in that regard that she was the slut that had slept with Rarity's boyfriend. Rarity was smart, and knew that the relationship wouldn't last forever. But that still didn't lighten the blow. She knew it had to end eventually, but why did it have to end that way. "Now listen here you whore!" Rarity snapped, "A slut like you has no right to talk bad about anyone, let alone my friends. They're the best people I could have hoped to meet, and I know they'll stay by my side through thick and thin. But you, you have friends that would betray you the second they got any kind of dirt on you." She held her friends close to her, she loved them all like sisters. Especially Applejack who had helped her immensely with forgetting about Jeff. "Aw is someone mad that their boyfriend preferred me over you?" Britney asked laughing. The only response Rarity gave was a deafening slap that echoed through the locker room. The slap left a giant, purple bruise and Rarity was pretty sure she knocked a tooth loose. She had been given a warning considering Britney had been in a fight earlier that day, and because this was only the second time in her academic career that she had been in trouble. Rarity came back to the present when their teacher, Ms. Moon, smacked a hand down down on her desk. Ms. Moon had been nicknamed 'Nightmare Moon' because she was notorious for giving harsh punishments. She once gave Big Mac a referral for daydreaming. "Are we daydreaming?" Nightmare moon asked in her sinister, serpent like voice. "N-no!" Rarity lied. "You're lying, and you're also lucky because I'm in a good mood. I'll let you off with one warning and that's it!" Nightmare snapped. What? Did you're husband touch you for the first time. Who am I kidding, what husband?  Rarity thought, "Thank you Ms. Moon." She said hiding a humorous smile, with a grateful one. "Hm... You're welcome." Nightmare Moon said, "Stay after class though." Rarity groaned but nodded. Nightmare Moon had done this before. She kept kids after class until there was maybe thirty or less seconds to get to their next class. And she didn't write you a pass. Luckily for Rarity, her next period was literally right next door. The class continued as it did normally, which was enough to put Rarity to sleep. Rarity's was simply her sitting in class, in fact she was unaware that she was even beginning to drift off. Everything felt normal. At least did until Nightmare Moon stopped talking, and just stood there. It was creepy, Nightmare Moon usually talk from the second she had the students had their books open to the end of class. Her silence was unnerving, as if you had just watched a man's sanity break right before you. All of a sudden she brought her hand to the chalkboard, she was wearing a clawed glove The clothing item made her look as if she had claws on her hand. Rarity looked around and saw that nobody else seemed to notice. In fact they looked like Ms. Moon was still teaching. Ms Moon dragged the claws down the chalkboard. The screeching, and excruciatingly painful, sound echoed throughout the room. It sounded eerily similar to screams of pain and agony, which scared Rarity. Rarity covered her ears and closed her eyes tightly. She felt literal pain in her ears; not the normal discomfort that comes from nails on a chalkboard. But the again, these weren't exactly nails. After a painful eternity of that wretched sound, it stopped. Rarity slowly opened her yes, and saw the classroom, but it was drastically different. It was burned out, like a fire had swept through there in the short seconds that she actually was in pain, "What the hell!?" she exclaimed her breathing increasing in speed. No one was in their seats. She felt as they left her for dead in whatever inferno had raged though this hell hole that was once a classroom. A feeling of loneliness and sadness swept over her, she felt truly alone. Then she finally noticed there was someone else in the room, "Ms. Mo--?" "So think she was a nightmare, I'll give you a real nightmare." A masculine growling voice spoke. "Nice Christian Bale impression." Rarity joked. He gave no response. He simply turned around and stared at her. He was in a brown, burnt fedora. He was wearing a Christmas color striped, ash covered sweater that made Rarity want to laugh at him. His lower half couldn't be seen because the desk obstructed her view. "You think you're funny don't ya?" "Yes in fact I--" Rarity was cut off as his burnt left hand wrapped around her neck. "I'm gonna tell you something, YOU'RE NOT!" he snapped. "Oh is this some kind of game, want me to be the helpless cheerleader? Here let me put on my acting face. 'Please god help me'!" Rarity mocked. "I'll send you to god!" He yelled stabbing her in gut, all for claws sinking in as deep as they would go. Rarity couldn't believe what she felt. She threw her head back and scream in agony. The burnt man dragged her up and removed the blades from her intestines, "Still think this is a joke." "You're just a dream." Rarity said before spitting some blood. "No, I'm a nightmare, you're nightmare." The burnt man seemed like a man possessed as started cutting and stabbing all over her body. After three minutes he finally stopped. Rarity spit his eye so in turn he threw her out the window. She landed, glass shards stuck all over her soon to be carcass. Her body began to spasm, she had been thrown from the third story of the school. She tried to get up, but trying to move her arms slammed her head into the ground. His drum like footsteps could be heard in her one good eardrum. She tried every possible movement but it too late. He kicked her over and brought his four blades close enough together to be looked at one blade. Her stomach was slashed open revealing her pink and squishy intestines. Red was splattered among the pink. With his ungloved hand, he used her to own guts to strangle her. Rarity had a lot of fight but she was starting to wane. In his last act of cruelty, he hung with her own intestines. "We should hang out again, bitch!" The burnt psycho said laughing. "W-what are you?" Was her last words. The last thing she heard before joining god was, "I am Freddy!"
