Former Heroes
Chapter One
Sounds of aggravated voices could be heard coming from behind the door. Nevertheless, the guards outside stayed put and didn't move, the usual routine, one would say. Though they had their temptations to move every now and then, they knew that they must obey the princesses, whether they liked it or not.
'Guards! Enter, please,' shouted Tia through the thick doors, the sound somehow traveling to the other side to reach the guards. The guards obeyed and opened the door, walking over onto the castle balcony. It wasn't often they were permitted to enter the balcony of the left tower, where Celestia rose and set the sun everyday.
'Yes, your majesty?' one guard said, all of the three guards standing at attention. The alicorn tilted her head sideways, pointing towards Luna. Instantly, the guards approached the princess of the night and got hold of her in a tight grasp. In their grasp, the princess squirmed and attempted to get out of their strong hold, but it was no use. Her magic had been stopped and had been unable to use whilst the argument with her sister took place. Tia didn't want her escaping or attempting to attack her.
Luna rebelled against being taken to her room. She had an argument with her sister to finish.
My horn sparked, a sign of something wrong, usually coming from my sister. We both share a special power, allowing us to feel each others emotions. But I know what's wrong with her, and I can't forgive her after what she just did yet. If she comes to say sorry, then sure, I will also apologise and help her with the problems she is facing. But I'm not expecting that apology to be said anytime soon. It usually takes her a few moons to recover from one of our arguments and for us both to forgive eachother. These arguments are usually started by her, and I usually finish them. The younger sister always tends to start the arguments and the older always tends to finish them.
I giggle to myself at what I just said. Those giggles soon stop though, as I realise something.
Today, I started the argument. Not Luna. That's strange of me, I usually don't do that. When we were younger, of course I started a couple, but not now we have aged a little more.
Strange, to say the least...
Inside, Luna was thrown into her room, as the princess ordered. They locked the door behind them and walked away. Devastated, the night princess started to cry, wondering what she did wrong.
I did nothing wrong... It is Tia's fault! Not mine! she thought to herself As she continued crying, Luna shuffled into the corner of her room. New bruises adorned her body after being thrown. Immense pain was all she could feel at this time, some parts of her body numb.
She would get her revenge. Soon...
An eerie ilence adorned the halls of Canterlot Castle. All was quiet. Midnight was the time. A shadow appeared on the wall as the night guards flinched, wondering if they were seeing things. Ignoring the figure, they continued to stand still and for fill their duty, ready to go home in the morning.
One guard nervously shuffled about his spot, his spear standing tall next to him.
'W-Who's there?' he nervosuly called as it echoed throught the long, dim lighted hallway. A guard next to him snickered and whispered something about him to the final of the three guards.
'Noponys there, idiot.'
The figure in the shadows picked up on this and started to move faster. It could sense somepony was nearby. The guard who shouted to it backed into the wall, terrified and shivering. His mouth agape, he lifted his hoof to point at the shadow which was running away. All the other two guards did was snicker and go back to their duty.
Now that was creepy, the night guard thought to himself.
Tia trotted down the hallway cheerfully, heading in the direction of her little sisters room. She kindly greeted the guard as she went past him, the guard responding in the most normal way he could. But he certainly wasn't okay. Far from okay, in fact.
Ignoring this, the young princess arrived at the door of Luna's room and knocked. No response. She knocked again. Still, no response. She let out a long sigh and shouted to her through the door.
'Luna? I know you're in there! Listen, I'm really sorry for what happened yesterday, but you got out of hoof! Oh won't you forgive your sister, please?'
Once again, no response. Tia groaned and shouted that she was coming in as she pushed her strength to its limit as the door opened. A loud crash came from behind it.
Wood?
A pile of heavy wood in a pile stood high behind the door. Everything seemed to be there...
But one thing was missing.
'Luna,' Tia said, her emotions twisted.
Running out of the room and down the hallways, her mane blowing behind her, she ran to the main room where the guards were. Ordering them to set out on a search to find her beloved sister. As soon as they were commanded, they saluted and got in a circle, forming a plan. Only moments after did they split up into small groups to different parts of the castle, including the gardens. The best guards of them all stayed put, in case they were needed to go further than the castle grounds with Celestia.
Hours passed as the day turned into evening, evening turning into night. Still, nortinng was found, nor any evidence of where she was left behind to follow.
Celestia was absolutely devastated.
'That's enough for today guards, you may go home now. We will continue the search tomorrow. Thank you for your cooperation and help, it means a lot," Celestia stated, hiding her emotions from her guards.
What have I done...
