They came from the Everfree Forest - massive wooden ships floating on air. Without cause or reason they covered the towns and cities of Equestria. After that everything changed.

With Princess Celestia taken away and only a hoofful of unoccupied cities remaining, the free species have formed a resistance in their attempt to rid Equestria of this new aggressor and take back what was theirs.
