Chapters Class had ended and you had nothing to do for the duration of the day. You could go to the mall but you have no reason to, it would be a waste of time. You could study, but it was something you did everyday. You could go home and watch TV until your mom, aunt, and sister came back from work, but it was boring staying home.
You were bored of your same routine of going to school in the morning, leaving school in the afternoon and passing by everyone just because you didn't consider it fun. Nothing you did was considered fun.
You were boring as boring could get, you didn't know many people in school and you bet that most haven't heard of you either. Something that you were use to. Letting out a sigh you looked into your book bag letting out your pet ferret who happened to crawl into your bag in the morning, you discovered her during first period when you saw her tail stick out of your book bag.
Taking out your earphones you stuck them in your ears and placed the headphone jack into the phone and began listening to music, your ferret returned to its place in the book bag sticking it's head out to see where you were going.
Though Nix was the closest thing you went in terms of lifetime achievements, an animal that wasn't really thought of as pet but more as a best friend and member of your family. Most people would pick dogs, cats, even lizards or birds. But you decided to pick a ferret Nix or Snow as her name came from the Greek goddess and snow in Latin.
"What should we do girl?" You asked Nix with a whisper, making her ears perk as she scanned the area before pointing to a vending machine.
"I don't think so girl." Again she scanned the area before pointing towards a bulletin board filled with papers, approaching it you saw many things.
Ranging from Glee Club, Yearbook Committee, School News Anchor, and Animal Shelter Volunteering. The volunteering one was buried behind so many others and it barely got any view time, you removed the paper and push pin and walked over to the other end of the hall where a bulletin with less papers were on it and pinned it there. You backed away and viewed from afar to see students approach the board looking to sign up, they took out their phones and called the shelter. It was only a few like two or three but eventually those who volunteer would eventually tell their friends who would volunteer or adopt a pet.
"The right advertisement could really boost things up huh Nix." Scratching her head you continued forward through school to see more people talking amongst each other, most were people from middle school who'd hadn't changed.
Like Vinyl Scratch she remained the musical hermit who'd rather just listen to her music and talk to another music enthusiast Octavia Melody rather than talk to anyone else in school. You continued down the hall and spotted three younger girls happily talking to one another the three were younger siblings of three girls in your homeroom.
If you remembered correctly they were named Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash. Rarity was a fashionista and often called the best dressed and beautiful girl of school she was also a part time seamstress and fashion motif, Applejack was known for her southern twang and listening to others problems and giving honest opinions people always loved talking to her since she was usually the best listener, Rainbow Dash was an extremely skilled Soccer player often seen around the back of the school playing pick up games with other players of the team, she's also undefeated in singles matches plus a cocky soccer player who boasts that she can't be beat.
One girl you never really talked to and never really wanted to talk to was Sunset Shimmer, the girl who'd badmouth your name if you so happen to go against her. You avoided her at all costs and if you couldn't you'd just take your lumps and go. You didn't need to be called anything here as you were already a loner and stayed quiet.
You had nothing else to do and decided to leave school, approaching the entrance you passed by the several students who were talking to one another near the stairs all seemed happy. You never really had any interactions with anyone in this school, except for a girl you often talked to, her name was Eris.
You two were friends since kindergarten, she was a troublemaker usually loved playing pranks on people who she had never even met and to people she talked to constantly. You were always her accomplice with these hi-jinks and if you two were ever caught she'd take the heat.
You guess she had this weird rule to get that made her think you needed to be protected. Something which you'd always promptly refused, you didn't need someone constantly watching over you.
"RRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" You heard someone shout before you were tackled to the ground, looking up you spotted Eris. Your best friend and frankly the worst student in Canterlot High. She often skipped class and stayed home or pulled pranks on everyone in school or town. Most of her pranks were basically annoying surprise attacks, she might've been the worst student with attendance but she was a pretty smart cookie if you knew one. Her outfits mostly consisted of punk or rock, she had this sense of being out there and having a cool and collective personality.
Her white and brushed hair covered one of her eyes she had a red headband on the top of her head, she wore a white plain T-shirt with a long sleeve button up red flannel shirt, she also had some black skinny jeans with a pair of red slim hi-top shoes.
"Don't do that dammit!" You whispered as you tried regaining your breath.
"Oh cmon it was a little scare don't be such a pansy." She says walking past you and sitting on a nearby bench, her legs placed on it as if she was lounging on it.
"So how was school? Anything happen while I was gone?"
"Monday some practice test for a finale in algebra 2." You say joining her on the bench.
"Fuck me! Another thing I gotta study for. Why the hell do we need algebra anyway? I'll fuckin' work for you when you get a job be your maid or some shit." She says chuckling.
"Tuesday, Sunset made a girl cry in the lunchroom."
"Never approach that bitch, she'll tear you a new one if you ain't careful. Unless you can take it!" She lets out a loud laugh before softly kicking you.
"Wednesday I was called up to the principal's office for using my phone to check your text message. But i gotta say those guys are fun."
"Aren't they? Found them just last week somethin' about a midnight snack I gotta show you that sometime. Now go on."
"Today? Not much besides Nix here, climbing into my bag early in the morning."
"Haha Nix you're an awesome little chick." Eris pets Nix as she climbs from your shoulder and onto Eris.
"Plus Sunset hasn't come to school today, which isn't like her she usually has perfect attendance."
"Maybe she's sick not that you should care, she's a bitch end of story. Anyway I'm bored what can we do today?" She asks
"You could join a club on campus, I'm sure they're in need for some people hell they might even need a delinquent who rarely goes to school." You mention with a chuckle.
"Nah I wanna do stuff outside of school not in, I mean there's a ton of stuff we can do outside this prison."
"I wouldn't consider it a prison."
"Oh it is, and you are the warden's favorite little prisoner, you get off easy when you're in trouble, but us little guys? Nah we gotta go through with it even if it kills us." You rolled your eyes as Eris was overreacting like she usually does and when she does there's no stopping her rant unless you change the subject completely.
"Alright calm down Eris what about playing soccer you're a great runner and kicker you got two of the traits needed to play."
"I wanna do something away from school not close to it, I mean cmon we're friends you gotta know what I like."
"Why not soccer I mean I can tell you're getting a little pudgy around your tummy area."
"I'm not getting fat you ass, if you're gonna lecture me about joining soccer maybe I should lecture you about your life bubble. And you know exactly what I'm talking about!" She says jumping off the bench and getting closer to you.
"W-what're you talking about? I'm plenty social." You informed with a nervous tone.
"If you consider talking to me and your pets social then yeah you're plenty social." She sarcastically states with a glare. "I'm mean cmon you gotta have more friends then me right? How about Brad ain't he your friend?"
"Yeah I don't think so, we were friends when we were younger, but we kinda stopped talking to each other after we left Middle school. Anyway he's not an option anymore if you really want me to be social put me on the spot in front of others then we could do something great." Eris smirked and began to think her right hand on her hip and her left hand tapping her chin, she looked around school to see students all in different groups and plenty of members in each of the groups.
"Well there is your singing voice." Eris pointed out with a smile.
"No, no, no singing will never be an option." Eris sighed and began to think more on it before snapping her fingers.
"Hey how about that talent ya know what I'm talking about, you being the type of guy to get anything done in a snap if someone asks. So why don't we do something big?"
"No, look let's just get to my house. I still gotta think things over for Lotus and Aloe's birthday party." Eris smiled and hugged you.
"Awww you're growing up finally seeing girls in a different light ya know I'm proud of you, here I thought you were-"
"Don't even finish that sentence, look I'm just not interested in girls that's all. I tolerate you so that's something ain't it?" You asked making Eris roll her eyes.
"Aye aye captain." She says with a salute following you home.
Later...
Arriving home you heard barking from inside, the barks were loud and echoed from inside to the outside you pushed the door open and let Eris inside as Malcolm your pet husky ran towards her and demanded a belly rub.
"Awww love you too big guy." Eris says smiling as she patting his stomach. His fur was ruff to the touch with the standard colored coat of Hazel brown and white with blue eyes, a black collar around his neck showed his name. Along with his birthdate which was near the winter around November 30th.
"So you're home oh have you finished reading the batman comic I told you to read, you bought it right?" She asks
Something Eris was that nobody in school besides you knew was that she is a total comic geek often loved reading comics and loved reading the DC side of comics you were more of a Marvel guy, but DC definitely had the better super villains, might've been a stock answer but your favorite super villain was the Joker. Of course the comic Eris asked you to read was the killing joke, something she often praised the batman comics for doing right.
"Haven't gotten a chance to read it yet, when I get time I'll read it," She looked really annoyed that you haven't finished "One of the best comics in the history of comics." Her words not yours.
"Just read the book, oh one more thing I'm spending the night." You dropped the book and turned to Eris who had a triumphant smile.
"Spending the night? Why?" You asked with genuine surprise.
"Well my dad isn't coming home until tomorrow morning, I'll be all alone in that big house."
"Ya know I wouldn't expect your dad the guy who constantly hits on my mom and basically is the devil in the business world not come home to his daughter who acts the same to the another person in the same family. I mean cmon why just my family."
"Hey can you blame us your mom's cute in my dad's eyes, and you're adorable in some ways. Surprising ain't it? Anyway that and I can't cook so you're my only hope." You let out a sigh and walked into the kitchen with Eris in tow.
"Fine, if I don't agree you're just gonna keep asking until I get tired of hearing it." Eris pumped her fist in the air in victory.
"Awesome! Anyway I'm hungry got anything to eat?" She asks as you already gotten out a bottle of water.
"Nope, when Cadence comes home I'm suppose to go with her to buy some ingredients I gotta cook so you're coming with." Eris shrugs and grabs a can of creme soda, approaching the living room she grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. Putting her feet up on the coffee table she changed it to a channel that showed The Simpsons, one of yours and Eris's favorite shows, something else you had in common were the type of shows you two watched which were comedy sitcoms or just reality shows, not the ones where a group of teenagers live in the house together more like at risk teens visiting a jail or prison. For that you had no idea why you loved it, it was just entertaining.
Grabbing your backpack you removed a journal and pencil, you flipped through the several pages until you got to a section called party plan. A girl named Pinkie Pie asked for your help with a student's birthday party and asked you to gather as much info you could get on them.
There's always this weird mental tug on you to go do whatever people ask if you're put on the spot. The girls you were suppose to ask info on were Lotus and Aloe twin sisters who were kinda cute. Both seemed to have likes and dislikes that were extremely similar though there was one thing they couldn't agree on. What type of cake they wanted.
Aloe loved vanilla while Lotus loved chocolate. You began to think of way of compromise the two, you sat on the couch and tapped on the journal waiting for a wind of inspiration.
A knock was heard on the door, but before you could get up Eris had gotten up and ran towards the door.
"Hiya Eris!" Pinkie happily shouts as she enters your home.
"Hey Pinks still being hyper I see." That made Pinkie giggle and nod like a jackhammer.
"Yup yup yup! Dante there you are!" Pinkie happily shouts as she runs towards you and sits next to you, you looked towards Pinkie and put down the journal.
"What's up Pink, here to see what I gathered?" You asked she nods once more and grabs the journal.
"So Lotus and Aloe aren't that different in terms of taste, the two enjoy pop music and like the opposite colored the other dislikes. The present should be therapeutic based apparently they enjoy relaxation type gifts, and the theme should be some sort of soothing colors ya know something that isn't too bright or too dull." Eris looked at you impressed.
"Damn did you approach them to ask what they like or did ya go into their backpacks and found their diaries?" She asks lowering the volume on the TV.
"Just went up and talked to them, but sorta hid it as a sort of survey. Pretended I was part of yearbook committee." Eris smiled nodded.
"Nice, you're a tricky bastard when you wanna be." You shrug and took a swig of water.
"What can I say I'm pretty good at lyin'." Pinkie tapped your shoulder and pointed towards the words chocolate and vanilla.
"Cake flavors?" She asks you nod giving her confirmation, she snapped her fingers and nodded.
"This'll be perfect! A fusion of the two with a sweet vanilla bean like cake with a slightly bitter chocolate mix! And the frosting will be white chocolate!" She happily proclaims.
"Need any help baking?" You asked she shakes her head.
"Nope! But I do need help finding a venue. It'll be this weekend on Saturday and you're gonna need to convince the two to follow you to the venue." Eris snapped her fingers and smiled.
"Could be at my house! It's huge plus the backyard has a pool so pool party?" Pinkie nodded furiously and circled the plans on the journal.
"Okay! So you and Eris get the supplies, I'm gonna need a huge tent one of those they use at parties, some flowers ya know those you get in bouquets, then those Chinese lanterns but they gotta be blue and pink, after that the inside of your house has gotta lead to the backyard with decor that could match a spa area. Oh now we're cooking with fire, oh this'll be perfect!" Pinkie rips out the paper and begins scribbling the words Operation: Blooming Lotus.
"Music?" You asked
"Vinyl said she'll do it." You nod and looked over the plans, so far it looked really good. But one problem rose Discord would be back home tomorrow evening which was Friday, Eris had to convince her father to let us have the party there on Saturday.
"Okay so everything is planned which means after school me and Eris are gonna have to buy the tent, the lanterns, and whatever else you need." Pinkie nods making Eris confused.
"After school? Um I'm not going to school."
"Yes you are, if you're gonna spend the night you're going to school with me." Eris looked extremely upset but winded up agreeing.
"Fine, I'll go to school with you." Pinkie happily clapped and smiled.
"Oh this'll be just perfect. Thank you Dante for helping out." You nod giving her a short salute before turning to the TV.
"Now that we've got that outta the way back to the Simpsons." You say grabbing the remote and turning up the TV.
Later...
You, Nix, Malcolm, and Eris began to watch tv as Pinkie had to leave to work out extra details. You had placed away your backpack to the side of you, minutes passed as the front door opened to see Cadence, your mother Celestia, and your aunt Luna all enter they seemed to be in a discussion which they both stopped when they saw you with Eris. Cadence had walked away from the two looking pretty happy while your aunt Luna had entered the kitchen leaving your mother to listen in on your conversation.
"Okay that was actually a great scam, if your aunt didn't bust me then I would've bought you something nice." Eris says crossing her arms.
"Pretending to be fortune teller and having me in the background act like a total idiot isn't fortune telling it's stupidity at its finest." You informed making Eris roll her eyes.
"Hey those fake fortunes weren't that embarrassing I could've used my first draft of fortunes then you'd totally be in for it." You roll your eyes and looked towards your family who seemed to be listening in. Your aunt smiling as she and cadence had been leaning in at the kitchen's bar like seating.
"Hey mom." You said to your mother and principal of Canterlot high. After your father who your mother hates to mention ever existed sorta left, she and your aunt raised you, to their best extent which was pretty loving and caring.
"Dante, I just saw Pinkie Pie leave did she need something?" She asks
"Yeah just some party related stuff I had to help her with."
"Yeah planning a party for a pair of twin sisters." Eris teased making Cadence perk up.
"Oh twin sisters? Interesting and who are these girls?" She asks with a giggle.
"They're just two girls who go to school that's all, trust me I'm far off the dating scene." You informed with an exasperated sigh.
"It wouldn't be far off for you to actually like girls at your age."
"Please not this again aunt Luna." Luna approached you and sat next to you brushing your Hazel brown hair.
"I'm only suggesting that there are very nice and cute girls you'd love to meet."
"Why get a girl when I have Eris here."
"No offense sweetheart, but Eris isn't the type of girl who'd like to be in a relationship." Celestia informed as Eris gave a solid nod.
"Trust me Dante and I have this relationship that'll never tread a girlfriend boyfriend bond that'll just be weird. Teasing him and poking fun now that's fun."
"Like your dad and my mom?" You asked giving Eris a deadpan look as Celestia seemed to give the same.
"Speaking of which wouldn't you be accustom at your home Eris?" Celestia asks
"Eh my dad's not gonna be home for awhile, so Dante invited me to spend the night." All eyes were casted on to you, you had no response and shrugged making your family let out a sigh.
"Well if you must, Dante has informed you that you will go to school tomorrow morning correct?" Celestia asks
"Ugh don't remind me, Dante mentioned if I wanna stay over I gotta to school. What a drag." Celestia smiles and nods as she walks away from the living room so does your aunt, looking towards Cadence she grabbed the car keys and signal you to go with her.
"Let's go E." You had said shutting off the TV and making Eris rise from the couch to follow the two of you outside of the house and towards the car.
Later...
Dinner passed by smoothly with some conversation amongst your family and best friend, though since fall was coming soon there was a weird heatwave coming by during the weekend which thank god you could have the birthday party at Eris's house. Also going by the weird coincidences Discord, Eris's father had to go to a business trip later on tonight which Eris got a phone call from him informing her about the situation. The party was a go.
Since Fridays were always early release days, you and Eris had to get stuff from the party store and go straight to her house in order to set things up. With Pinkie's good word the party store would only charge about half price for everything you need which was a good thing too.
"So where am I go to sleep?" Eris asks as the two of you said goodnight to your family and went up your room. Your room was pretty big with plenty of running space for Nix who was running in circles around her little area.
"I'll sleep on the couch you can have my bed." You pointed making Eris nod as she began to remove her skinny jeans and white t-shirt. She tossed her clothes on your desk, she still had on her panties and bra. You were pretty accustom to seeing Eris like that as she was accustom seeing you in your boxers. It was a unique relationship between the two of you.
After setting your beds you two laid in the room in complete silence, the only sounds were the squeaks of either your bed or the couch as you or Eris tried to get in a comfortable position.
"Hey Dante?" Eris says from across the room, her whispers were able to be heard which was always a plus. Feeling a small weight on your chest it was Nix finding a perfect spot to lay herself to sleep. Malcolm on the other hand was with Eris who seemed to be scratching his back.
"Hmmm?" You asked as you were starting to get tired.
"I know this is outta nowhere, but thanks. I know I joke around when it comes to our relationship and I usually tease you about your love life you know I'm just joking right? I care for you, you're like my best friend I never had a friend who'd let me spend the night and act like ya know me. Your family is the best all really nice and like any other family. I just wish my house was like that, when I come back home there's nobody to greet me or ask about my day. My dad's too busy with work to say a thing, but I know he's doing that to keep my life great."
"Hey Eris I think your dad's great, I remember when I spent the night over at your house when we were younger we'd stay up all night watching scary videos in the living room with your dad telling us they were just fakes, he's the sort of guy you could admire. Hell you're following in his footsteps and learning to be a business mogul, something most delinquents wouldn't really dream of." Eris giggled a bit and let out a sigh.
"Yeah, just because I act like a punk and dress like one don't mean I am one, trust me there's a lot to this girl then pulling pranks and dressing like a total goof. A total goof who looks hot as a punk, but goof in the end of things." You let out a chuckle and stayed silent as it returned to silence once more.
"Goodnight Dante." She says to you as she closes her eyes.
"Night E." You reply closing your eyes.
The Next Day...
"Don't forget to bring in any missing assignments people, if you don't I'll mark them as missing and you won't get any credit." Your teacher Dr.Turner said warning everyone as they all exited the classroom. You and Eris were finishing up packing and decided to quickly hurry, you had all afternoon to buy the supplies needed. Unfortunately it'll take all day and night to set up the house for the party.
"Alright so Pinkie cleared things up this morning, huge tent it's gotta be white, tables inside the tent some plastic tables and chairs we can order them at the party store and they'll send them later today, then the lanterns which they gotta be set up by the party store guys after that we set up and lock any doors you don't want people getting into your house." You informed taking out your phone as you checked your notes for the party supplies.
"Yep, nobody enters my room or my dad's room plus the guest rooms too. And finally you gotta say the secret code for half off on everything and free set up." You let out a sigh and nodded.
"Pinkie hooves dancing all night, what a password." Eris said with a giggle.
"Dammit Pinkie." You say aloud as you let out a tired sigh.
Exiting the school Nix climbed out of your bag and wrapped herself around your neck, staying very still as you walked out of the school and past the bulletin board you placed the animal shelter request on.
"Hearing a lot of things about the animal shelter around school, apparently someone placed a poster near the exit and people are going out of their way to volunteer and adopt a few pets from the shelter. Man whoever the person put up that poster really deserves some thanks." Eris was a grade-A animal lover, she didn't look like it, but she had a pet iguana back home she called Bella, a rescued animal she takes care of her like she was her own kid. Like you with Nix she loves her to death.
"I heard it was that shy girl, Fluttershy whose been putting up those posters." You informed making Eris nod.
"Good those little guys need someone to look after even if it's a girl who doesn't talk that much in class." Fluttershy was in a class with Eris, you didn't attend it though since you chose a different route.
As soon as you exited the school building the many people who talked amongst each other spotted you and Eris talking to one another, most were surprised to see a Eris at school carrying a folder full of homework, since she always skipped school it was rare to see her around. And since people always saw you alone they were always surprised to see you with someone.
It did bother you that people thought you couldn't get friends by yourself, you did have Eris along with Pinkie who was by default everyones friend no matter who they were so she probably didn't count.
"Hey don't let them get you down, if they wanna stop and stare let 'em it won't kill ya." You gave Eris a nod and walked from school grounds and towards the shopping district of town. You passed many parks and historic buildings once at the shopping district you looked around the area to see a few people scattered around the area, ice cream shops, restaurants and clothing stores laid the area around. The grocery store was a mile away, it was huge, but not where you were going towards.
"There it is." Eris points to a large building squeezed between a clothing shop and bakery. From the looks of it, there was a party there every single day. You and Eris approached the building, once in the smell of candy and soda permeated through the air.
"Smells like Pinkie huh?" Eris asked you gave her nod and proceeded towards the counter where the cash register was.
Just then a girl about 12 or 11 years old popped up from behind the counter, she had a twin obsidian black and snow white colored hair, the hair pins were in the shape of red roses it made her hairstyle into twin tails. She also had a emerald orangish colored irises, her skin was a milky white her clothing style differed from the store she was in, it was a green Sunday dress with an orange colored flower pin on the left strap of her dress.
"Hello." Eris had jumped slightly as the little girl's sudden appearance scared her.
"Why did you do that?!" Eris says panting holding her chest.
"Pinkie told me to do that when I saw a boy with brown hair and satchel like bag on him, Pinkie said you'd get scared but she must've gotten it incorrect the girl beside you was scared not you." She points towards you and looks at you with silence, looking at the girl once more she overanalyzed it, it was probably her as a person who'd do that.
"I'm Dante and the scared girl beside me is Eris." Eris took offense and punched your shoulder and looked towards the girl.
"I'm Serendipity. Welcome, what is it that you need?" She asks tilting her head cutely to the side.
"Pinkie hooves dancing all night." You said with embarrassment even if it was only you saying it to the little girl in front of you, it was extremely awkward. Serendipity looked at you with confusion before having an aha! moment. Ducking behind the counter she took out a note pad and scribbled on it and slid it over to you.
"Everything you needed for the party was sent to party place." Taking the paper you saw that it was a list of supplies.

A row of paper lanterns all either light blue or pink. Each with a flower design with the opposite color on them.
A bouncy castle with plastic balls.
A huge piñata with candy that has either chocolate or sweet candy.
A large podium (DJ set not included)
Large metal vats (ice and drinks included)
Cotton candy mixing machine (kit included)
And finally water guns with water balloons)
"Holy crap, this is gonna be some party." Eris said with a chuckle.
"Tell me about it, looks like we're gonna have to make food for the party. Which means grocery shopping."
"Dammit!" Eris says with a sigh before looking at her watch.
"Which also means spending the whole night to get things set up. Energy drinks and coffee?" She asks turning to you, you nod and look towards Serendipity.
"Hey thanks kid tell Pinkie that we're going to the store." She nods and begins scribbling on a piece of paper, it looked like a drawing any little girl would make with cutesy looking images and stick figures.
"Let's go E. Hopefully we'll get everything." She nods and walks out of the store with you behind.
Later...
Approaching Eris's home, Eris pushed open the door carrying bags upon bags of snacks and dipping. You on the other hand were carrying plastic cups and plastic plates. That's about the best you can make with the limited amount of time you had.
"Alright so we got everything chips and dipping, plastic cups and plastic plates. Oh and the pizzas! I'll order thirty minutes before the party starts." You gave her a nod, and placed the bags on the island bar Eris had in her kitchen.
"Hi guys!" Pinkie shouts as she enters the house from the backyard.
"Jesus Christ Pinkie how'd you get in?" Eris asked panting as she held her chest.
"The backyard, I climbed the fence and the slider door was open. Oh and cmon Dante I need your help with the bouncy castle!" You gave Pinkie a nod and proceeded towards the backyard.
"Hey Eris make sure the sodas and ice are in the fridges in the garage." Eris rolled her eyes and walked towards the garage, while you with Pinkie.
"So Pinks why the bouncy castle?"
"It isn't a party without a bouncy castle and piñata now is it?" She asks putting her hands on her hips as if she was scolding you.
"I guess." You say with a shrug. Pinkie happily nods and continues towards the castle seemingly wanting to play in it. With the three of you, it would take a few hours to place everything in the correct order for tomorrow night.
It took six hours to completely place everything up and set everything in the perfect spot. It was now 10 o'clock at night, Pinkie had crashed on the living room couch. Pinkie may have been hyperactive and pretty much a girl who'd go days without sleeping, but after a whole day of setting up chairs, tables, and climbing the roof of a large house just to put up lanterns and make sure everything was absolutely perfect you'd crash too.
"Everything is up and we finally get some rest. I'm so tired." Eris complained as she had crashed on the couch next to Pinkie whose butt was over the couch as she landed face first on the curved couch in the living room. "Did you invite everyone Pinks?" Pinkie gave a thumbs up and dropped her hands on the couch before laying back down.
"Well looks like we're crashing here for tonight, you don't mind right Eris." You looked towards Eris who had fallen asleep her eyes closed and her hands on the back of her head. You turned your head towards Pinkie to see her butt still in the air, completely asleep and not moving a bit. Letting out a chuckle you made yourself comfortable between the two girls on the couch closing your eyes as you thought about the party tomorrow night.
Later...
The party was going on with loud music and people happily laughing and cheering as they were either dancing or talking amongst each other. You walked out of the house and looked towards a podium to see Vinyl or her alternate name DJ-Pon3, she looked as if she was having a good time playing music she thought was appropriate for the party.
You walked towards the bouncy castle and to your surprise a lot of people were in there having fun and messing around, the bouncy castle looked really childish, but honestly you were just happy to be at a party with everyone there. Eris was off with her gang of friends who looked like punks and skaters, and Pinkie was off enjoying the party either dancing or eating the many sweets she made.
You on the other hand were just looking over things wanting to see if anything bad would happen, the birthday girls were extremely happy to see their party in full force. They were with other people you didn't know, most likely in the pool.
"Dante!" You turned to see both Lotus and Aloe smiling as they had wet hair along with bikinis. Both had good looking bodies though you wouldn't admit it.
"Oh hey you two, having fun?" Both nod and smile.
"Of course, it's just amazing things we both like are here and the cake Pinkie made was just delicious. So is that the reason why you hung out with us during school and after to get ideas on what we like." Lotus asks
"Pretty much getting to know you two was pretty fun, and you two are really interesting."
"Oh my, are you flirting with us?" Aloe asks teasingly as she pokes your shoulder.
"I'm not trying to, but I gotta say if I was interested in a relationship I'd totally try my luck on you two." Both giggle and nod before they approached you and gave you a kiss on both your cheeks.
"You're a sweet guy, hopefully we'll see you at class again." You nodded and looked as the two jumped into the pool, you looked at your work with tomorrow being Saturday you, Eris, and Pinkie had a full day of cleaning.
Monday...
School was a lot more interesting with the party came the praise by the people attended, most of the praise was given to you generously by Pinkie who boasted how you made the cake and decided on theme, of course you tried denying it, but Pinkie and Eris would cover your mouth. They thought of it as a way to boost your reputation as the recluse who barely talked to anyone to a normal person as Eris explained it.
Like any other day in Canterlot High there were students going to their classes with ease like you, you had to get to class and fast before you'd be considered late and get yelled at by either your Aunt Luna or Celestia.
You walked past the several students getting to their classes, but as you walked you noticed a girl with mint blue colored hair about you'd say a year younger then you having trouble getting her locker unstuck, she seemed like she was struggling and need some help. You felt as if you could help her on one side you'd be late, on the other you'd gain a friend you began debating on what to do. Until you felt pity you walked past the several students lightly pushing them away from your way and approached her.
"Oh cmon please I can't be late I just can't!" She says mumbling to herself as seemed extremely exasperated and annoyed, she looked as if she'd just give up and endure the verbal lashing she'd get by the teachers for not being prepared.
"Do you need help?" You asked as she turned to see you, she happily nodded and stepped aside as you gripped the unlock mechanism and pulled it with all your strength making the locker door pop open, you stepped aside and gave her a bow as she giggled and hugged you.
"Thank you so much, I would've been late without your help. What's your name?"
"Dante, yours?" You asked
"I'm Coco Pommel, I'm new to Canterlot High I started a little late so I began my school year this month."
"New student huh? So I guess you're familiar with the school?"
"Yeah, the day my parents brought me here and I had a chance to look around. It's really big, I didn't know it would be this big." You chuckled and smiled
"Ya know somebody could misinterpret what you mean by its really big." She gasped and looked down blushing like crazy.
"I made a crude joke I'm so sorry." She says clearly embarrassed that she had said it out of context.
"Calm down I'm only joking, look you might wanna talk to the school about the stuck locker so they could transfer you somewhere else. Just tell them the locker gets constantly stuck and you need a transfer also mention your locker number it'll be easier for them to fix it for the next student." She happily nods and begins taking out the necessary supplies she needed to remove, closing the locker door she turned to you holding her books close to her chest as she gave you a smile.
"Thank you Dante um this may seem a little forward, but would want to hang out with me. You don't have to say yes, but it would be easier if I had more of a guide to help me around school. Plus I don't have any friends here." You thought about it for about a second and looked towards Coco she looked a little upset that she didn't have many friends in School, it was her first day and all so being the changed young man you decided to actually befriend was it a small step, but it was step nonetheless.
"Why not it'll be fun, right?" She nods and smiles as closes her locker and walks towards her classroom saying goodbye as she left to her class.
"Better go before Ms.Cheerlie reams me for being late." You mumble walking towards the stairs and going to class.

2. Mysterious Girl and Odd Tours
"Okay now you're all ready and set for the school, you know the layout from every side." Raiden mentions smiling as he bows towards a few new kids in school.
Raiden is Assistant Principal Luna's young child, about a few years younger then you. He was also your cousin who was a bit of a know it all, but he was still family.
The people who joined the tour had finally been released by Raiden. As Raiden left the area he spotted a girl fallen on the ground. Her hands on the ground along with her knees, he tilted his head as she rose from the ground her legs shaking as she fell over with a small puppy near her.
"Are you ok?" He asks with a smile.
"Huh ahhhh w-who're you!" She shouts in complete fear as she falls on her butt.
"Sorry, for the lack of introductions." He helps her stand up. "My name's Raiden, nice to meet you, what is your name?"
"T-Twilight S-Sparkle, why are you here Raiden?" She asks
"Ah…because I study here?" He points at school behind him. "Why are YOU here?"
"N-no you're suppose to be with Princess Luna and Dante." She shouts.
"Princess Luna? Oh! You mean Principal Luna, are you a new student too?" He shakes his head. "Miss you really need to get yourself a watch, missy you are late, the tour just ended 5 minutes ago." He says tapping on his digital wrist watch.
"Tour? What're you talking about?" She asks with confusion.
"Well you're in luck I have some time to spare I suppose I can give you a second one!" He grabs her hand and drags her with him.
"W-where are we going?" She asks
"To the school, I'm going to give you a personal tour!" He mentions with a smile as they entered students walked around the main entrance with a few talking amongst their small groups. "Oh we're just in time, fourth period just ended, good, that means that I can show you some of the classrooms."
"I don't know about this, I should really be going."
"Sorry school rules, no students can wander the halls without escort, unless they know where everything is exactly at. Meaning new students need a tour before they're able to go anywhere on campus."
"Who made that ridiculous rule?" Twilight asks
"I did." Twilight froze when she hears Principal Luna's voice behind her. Her rather strict sounding voice frightening her as she turned to see Luna's intimidating scowl.
"Hi mom! I was just showing the new student the school, her name is Twilight Sparkle." Raiden mentions with a large smile.
"Sparkle eh?" Luna gets closer to Twilight a bit frustrated by Twilight's lack of respect. "Tell me miss Sparkle do you have a problem on how we do things around here?"
"N-no ma'am I'm just questioning is all." She mentions backing up a bit.
"Good." She steps away and looks at her son. "Keep an eye on her would you dear?"
"You can count me mom!" Raiden happily mentions.
"I know I can, and if miss Sparkle gives anymore trouble." She gives a small glare at Twilight again. "Make sure to send her into my office if she breaks any rules."
"I will mom." Luna nods and walks away. Leaving Twilight in a state of both shock, sure Luna did project a cold nature from time to time back in Equestria, but even she was nice to Twilight. Her confusion only made things worse as she seemed too frighten to even notice Raiden speaking until she spotted his lips moving.
"Don't feel so bad, mom can get a bit sensitive with the rules she made, you should know, you have heard of her before right?"
"She's not as terrifying as before." Twilight mentions as she feels Spike shaking in her backpack.
"Nah mom's a really cool lady, once you get to know her…well as long as you keep on her good side that is." He takes her hand once more and continues. "Okay lets start this tour, what would you like to see first? The classrooms? The cafeteria?"
"Cafeteria I suppose." She mentions with a sigh
"There you go we just-" Before Raiden could continue his overdrawn speech he pushes Twilight to the side and covers her mouth before she can protest. "Shhh, don't speak." He mentions as he removes his hand and points towards Sunset who was passing by as the many students moved out of the way when they see her. "That's Sunset Shimmer, another rule you must always learn, never get in her way."
"Why not? She's not scary she's just another pon-er person isn't she?"
"Yeah we wish, she's a living nightmare, ever since she got transferred she took control, not even my mom or aunt can do anything to stop her reign of terror every time someone reports her she always somehow gets away with it, they just think she's a ray of sunshine." He sighs with sadness. "A real shame really, this place could be much more fun if it wasn't for her."
"Why not? You just can't have a bully in the hallways, what about Dante can't he do anything or is he hating life like usual." She asks that confuses him for a second.
"You know my cousin? From where?" He asks
"From Canterlot he's here too right! Celestia and Sombra's son." She mentions with worry.
"O-k, you're officially worrying me." He put his hand on her forehead with worry. "You know my cousin, but have your memories all wrong, by any chance did you hit your head? Are you feeling dizzy, lightheaded perhaps? Oh what am I saying, of course you do, I found you in the ground, quick lets go see the school nurse she might be able to help you!" He starts to drag her towards the nurse's office.
"Wait no! I'm not dizzy or lost my memory! I know exactly what's happening!" She shouts as students turn their heads seeing Twilight's small fit as Raiden calms her down letting out an awkward laugh.
"I'll believed it after Nurse Red Heart tells me that you're okay until then try to relax."
School Infirmary...
The silent ticks of the clock hanging on a wall with a few students getting their temperatures checked as they either were faking being sick or really were sick, Twilight felt so out of place then again she does see this almost every other day since she arrived to Ponyville many months ago. With almost every week having an adventure.
"Nurse Red Heart, this poor girl hit her head pretty badly, can you help her out?" Raiden says with worry.
"She did? Oh you poor poor thing." Using a mini flashlight in front of both of her eyes, she begins inspecting them making sure Twilight was okay. "Tell me dear, do you know your name? Or know where you're at."
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, and I am in Canterlot aren't I?" She smiles and puts her mini flashlight back into her pocket.
"Well hmmmmm, if you don't mind I would like to run a quick test, Raiden do you mind waiting outside?" Red Heart asks.
"Not at all. Get well." Raiden mentions with a smile as he closes the door behind him.
"He's such a nice boy don't you think?" Red Heart mentions with a giggle.
"If you say so but why is the tour mandatory, I only need to find something and I'll be out of everybody's mane." She mentions with a shrug.
"Its mostly for your own good." She points at a bed in the room. "Please sit there and look to the side. Canterlot High is a pretty big school, so unless you know exactly where and how to get there, you'll be completely lost." She pats her head a couple of times. "That's why it became a rule."
"I suppose that is true, from the outside it looks small." Twilight mentions
"Yeah it's really interesting optical effect the benefactor of this school, Mr.Discord, thought it was a fun way for the students to not feel so small when they enter."
"Of course he'd create something like this." She says sighing
"Well all seems good, you're free to good miss, oh and welcome to Canterlot High." Raiden looks at her when she exits the room, smiling a bit.
"How did it go?" He asks
"Normal check up I guess." She says sighing
"Thank god it wasn't anything serious, c'mon I'll take you to the cafeteria." Raiden began guiding her to the cafeteria smiling as he tugs her hand.
"So, you really aren't here as a new student?" He asks sparking up a question.
"N-no I'm trying to find something Sunset stole." She mentions.
"Oh well whatever it is, you might want to find another, if Sunset has it, it'll be extremely difficult for her to return it, I'm sorry but its gone."
"I can't let her have it and I won't give up, if you and Dante are here. Then my friends would be here. Is Fluttershy dating Dante?" She asks curiously
"Ah no, and I don't think they'll even try, Shy's a bit…well her namesake shy."
"What! This is so weird they have to be together dammit! Did they kiss at the gala?" She asks
"What gala?" He asks tilting his head.
"There isn't a gala! This isn't the way things are suppose to be. If they aren't together then he doesn't have much confidence in himself."
"Well you got that right, Dante lives in a pseudo bubble all around us, he barely lets me, my aunt, mom, and Eris in on it, and only talks to others when they need his help, its really sad, I don't think he'd even have the confidence to talk with girls."
"That isn't the Dante I know, the Dante I know is a womanizing jerk of a friend who knows how to talk to girls with ease, and is currently dating Fluttershy who hopefully one day become a royal couple!" She says with annoyance.
"Um Twilight do you by any chance have a crush on my cousin?"
"W-what no! N-not that I haven't thought of it! Oh why am I justifying myself to you!"
"I don't know, but it's a bit funny too." Raiden chuckles a bit. "Now I understand why Rarity likes to tease some of her friends when they get boyfriends."
"Rarity? She's here too!" She asks
"Oh yeah, she's here, I could guide you to her if you wish."
"Yes please show me her now!"
"Ah don't you want to finish your fo-" Before Raiden could answer Twilight had stuffed her face with the food not bothering to use her hands, surprising Raiden as he backed up a bit as he passes her a napkin once she was done.
"Ya know, if you were in such a hurry you could've have just said." Raiden stands up once more and begins to guide her to the home economics room. Near the second floor, as they walked up stairs Twilight felt afraid.
Her friends she had no idea where they were, and Dante, the guy who knows how to solve problems isolated and not talk to his girlfriend. It was like a bizarro version of her Equestria, though she let out a sigh. Complaining about it wouldn't solve her problem, entering the room Raiden approached the rather slender and framed young woman Rarity. One of the most premiered fashionistas of Canterlot high.
"Rares, you have a visitor!" Raiden shouts.
"Hmmm, Oh bring them in darling who is it." Turning she looks to Twilight and smiles. "And pray tell who are you?"
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, you don't remember?" She asks with confusion Raiden approaches Rarity and whispers.
"She thinks we all know her, just play along." She whispers
"But I do know you all!" Twilight shouts
"It's quite alright to know us dear, no ones making fun of you." Rarity informs trying to calm her down.
"I know that dammit!" She shouts
"Okay okay relax, we believe you, you seem to know a lot about us, we know you aren't lying, so don't be mad." Raiden says trying to calm her down.
"I am not mad!"
"Then maybe you can stop yelling, lets try have a nice quiet conversation okay." Twilight lets out a breath of air as she nods.
"Fine. I'm calm I'm relaxed and I feel just fine."
"Okay great, now lets start again." Raiden take a deep breath and smiles. "You said Sunset Shimmer stole something extremely valuable from you right?"
"Yes she stole something of mine and I don't know where exactly it's at."
"Well what is it? Perhaps someone in the school saw it." Rarity asks with a smile.
"I don't know Raiden took me on the tour I couldn't leave Raiden's side." Twilight says with a sigh.
"I mean what is the object she stole from you…you DO know what was that right?"
"A crown. She stole my crown."
"A crown?"
"You mean like the crown Fluttershy found?" Rarity asks.
"Huh y-you mean she found it! I could've asked her for my crown!" She mentions with excitement.
"Fluttershy returned the crown to my aunt, she thought it was the reward for the fall formal." Raiden mentions as he remembers seeing the crown being brought to the faculty office.
"A prize that Sunset had won 3 years on a row." Rarity mentions with a sigh.
"Then I'm gonna have to face Sunset!" She says with confidence Rarity and Raiden share concerned glances before looking at Twilight.
"Um Twilight there's a reason why it's called fall formal its for students only, and you can't face Sunset unless you enroll yourself here." Raiden tries to break the news.
"Then who do I talk to, to enroll." Twilight asks
"That will be my aunt, principal Celestia."
"Then I'll need to talk to her." She mentions with a smile.
You...
"Okay so now that I'm here with you Coco, I'm gonna give you a tour of the school. There's a lot of ground to cover and we'll start in the cafeteria, when you get in there you have to show which clique you belong in. In this school everyone is separated into cliques."
"Why's that?" Coco asked tilting her head.
"I dunno, it's just how things are. I myself use to hang out with the rockers until a little while ago when my friend Eris made another."
"Can you tell me what the cliques are maybe I'll find a place to belong." You chuckled and nodded as the two of you entered the busy cafeteria as everyone of the students were either eating or talking to one another. Each person had their very own things going on, many of which was pretty normal.
"Well from the little info I have there are Rockers, pretty much anybody even musical talented mostly what you'd see in a group. Fashionistas, anyone with a fashionable bone in their body. Environmentalists, care for animals and love absolutely anything about nature. Jocks, usually anyone in particular who is physically active and people who love exercising. And finally my best friend and my group Outsiders, basically students who have nowhere else to go, but with a couple of people who don't have place in the other groups. My best friend Eris rounds up students who don't belong, but once they find their place in a clique they're welcomed to leave, though any is always welcomed with us. And well she does a damn fine job leading. Now to the part of the tour where I introduce you to Eris, cmon." You walk with her towards a lunch table where Eris and a couple of her friends were hanging. You knew a few of them, but not like you did with Eris they were nice enough to you even when Eris was gone.
There was Echo Notes, a nice, good looking and talented singer she often loved participating in Eris's pranks. She had light silver gray colored hair with light blue colored skin, she wore a black and gray plaided skirt with a white t-shirt underneath a black blazer with a gray colored tie around her neck.
Another was about 12 years old, as old as your cousin, her name was Serendipity, the girl you met at the party store beneath that sweet and naive shell was a pretty laid back and fun girl to be around. She often planned what items to get to complete said prank often getting eggs, food coloring or general supplies Eris would need. Even if she was new to the group she was still well liked by everyone.
Then there was Winter Notes, Echo Notes twin brother, he had warm auburn colored skin with peach colored hair. He wore almost the same as Echo except his pants were black colored slacks with a gray suit vest with a white dress shirt underneath the vest. Though they might not look exactly like twins the two acted almost similar, with Winter being more of a singer and a smooth talker while his sister fairly sophisticated and slightly more elegant singer then her brother.
"Guys, I want you to meet Coco Pommel. New student here in C.H.S." Your friends turn to you with smiles as they all didn't have food and instead opted just to hangout and talk to one another.
"So you must be Dante's new girlfriend." Eris joked as Coco looked away embarrassed her cheeks a little red.
"Oh would you stop that Eris, she's probably a new student and maybe a friend of Dante's." Echo mentions smiling as she rolled her eyes.
"A new student, where did she transfer from? Oh did she transfer over from Crystal Prep?" Serendipity asks tilting her head.
"Um y-yes." She mentions hiding behind you.
"Oh that boarding school that Dante's sister works at, wow so you rich or something?" Winter asks with a smirk.
"Oh um my family is just a little well off, my dad works as a Lawyer and my mom works as a seamstress." She mentions.
"Hehehe that's cool." Winter says smiling as Coco looked at him with somewhat of admiration look.
"Oh shit looks like the new girl had the hots for you, Winter." Eris mentions with a laugh.
"H-huh!? N-no I-I'm not!" Coco's blush betrayed her as the rest of your friends let out laughs.
"Coco doesn't look sick, she doesn't even look disgusted except the redness on her cheeks! Oh is she starting to get sick?!" She gasps and rushes over to Coco and feels her cheek and pokes at it too. "She needs apple juice!"
Serendipity jumps off the table and runs over to the lunch line, and begins wait as students waited for their turn in getting some lunch.
"Um is she always that excited?" Coco asks
"Yeah don't worry about her, she's just a little different, an adorable little difference" Echo mentions with a giggle.
"Well she does look cute, she seems so helpful what year is she in?"
"She's a freshman, she's a bit of cutie that way too." You say laughing a bit.
"Anyway since Coco isn't your girlfriend tell me, what's the first thing Dante helped you with?"
"A stuck locker, it was giving me troubles and I was going to be late to class he just appeared and helped me out. It was sweet of him." She said smiling.
"Now that's cute, let me give you a congratulating handshake." You sighed and took her hand and brought it down.
"Don't mess with her, Eris, please she's new and a friend."
"Finnne, did you tell her about Sunset? She's going to need every single information mark for that girl."
"Well lets see she's really really bossy, she's the type of girl that'll take your generosity for granted and even get blackmail on you to take advantage of you. And one more thing try not to look at her direction she might not look intimidating from faraway, but she can be a real bitch." You mention sighing as Serendipity came back with a bunch of juice boxes. She had a massive smile on her as she only placed them on the table.
"I got wild berry juice, apple juice, orange juice, oh and grape juice! What's your favorite?" Serendipity asks smiling as Coco giggled a bit.
"I like apple juice. Can I have it?" Serendipity nods and hands her the apple juice making you smile as Serendipity grabbed the grape juice and began drinking the juice staring at Coco as they both drink.
You smiled as the two seemed happy with one another, though today was only one day and Coco still had a lot to learn you were going to be with her all the way.
Once lunch passed you were walking around the school, with everyone on lunch break Eris decided to take Coco around the school while you adjust. You continued down the halls to see Sunset walk away from a darken area of the school she looked upset and rather annoyed, whatever happened you wanted to know.
Approaching the hall you turned the corner to see a girl with light lavender colored skin with a twin purple mane with a light pink streak. You heard her talking with someone else in the hall, but you couldn't see who.
"You can't just give up Twi, everyone back in equestria is counting on you. And somewhat on me since I kinda ran after." The voice says with slight embarrassment, the voice sounded child like and filled with some kind of determination.
"This gonna be challenging Spike, without any help at the school I'm not going to get my crown back. I know this much I've seen Fluttershy, Rarity and Raiden. If anybody could help me it'll be Dante."
"But we haven't seen Dante! We don't know if he even exists here!" You stayed silent as you hid behind the corner as you continued hearing more.
"We can't give up Twi, sure Dante is human back in Equestria, but he was born by Celestia and Sombra. Remember what Celestia told him on how he became human. Dark magic from his dad hit him and changed his appearance he's a pony at heart, it's just his appearance that's changed." You looked at the girl who nodded as she wiped away her tears, petting the small puppy.
"Now we gotta find Dante!" The puppy mentions with determination.
"D-did your dog just talk?" You asked completely startled, the two looked at one another before nodding making you slightly afraid of what was to come.
Author's Note
Took me awhile but I got around to writing a chapter of this story, since this is an alternate universe story. Things will go different in how each girl is convinced to be part of one team so enjoy.
It was about a good five minutes before you spoke up, but as you tried it felt as if you had a frog in it. You quickly turned and ran, sure a talking dog was cool but also extremely weird and frightening. You did a quick turn and walked away, as you did you heard the weird girl call out for you.
Though you didn't turn back, if she had a talking dog with her she bound to be weird. Or at least somewhat of a magician then again the only magician you knew was Trixie, she was a bit of a bitch, but at least she was nice from time to time. You had no idea who Twilight was affiliated with or even nice or hell even sane.
As you left the hallway you looked behind you before running into someone.
"Owwww damn! What was that for?" Turning you spotted Applejack, a fairly nice and decent girl with an Apple farm a few miles away.
"H-huh oh sorry about that AJ, I was distracted by something on my mind. So hey you okay, need anything?" You asked curiously smiling as you helped her up.
"Hey wait up!" The girl from before shouts as she finally catches up, her smile was a bit of putting as it was wide and frightening.
"Pinkie asked if you were going to help with decorations in the gym, hey you sure you're okay? Ya look scared." She mentions tilting her head as you nodded before looking down to see the girl's dog look at you, his bark startled you as you hid behind AJ.
"The dog of hers can talk, and before you say anything. No I'm not crazy I saw him talk and before you add that I was hallucinating, I wasn't I'm pretty well good and all." AJ looks at you with a simple deadpan look before looking at the puppy and smiling.
"So you're the talking dog, speak boy." The dog simply growls and barks making you sigh as AJ giggles and pats your head.
"Maybe you should go and get checked up on Red Heart, trust me you'll probably feel a lot better after a check up." You stayed silent as AJ began pushing you towards the nurse's office, but before she could continue. You ran towards the gym shouting that you were fine.
The two equestrians looked at one another sighing as they began walking.
"Twilight, if we don't get his help and we don't get the crown back. We are up a creek without a paddle." Spike mentions as Twilight nods.
"I know, but he won't talk to us. Not since you spooked him so much, look we need to at least get close enough to where he won't get freaked out. At least tell him a bit of why we're here other then looking for the element." Spike happily nods as Twilight continues on towards the gym.
Later...
"Cmon Dante go and see Redheart, its not like a check up will kill you. Or that talking dog in your head."
"I'm fine AJ, I was just imagining things that's all. I'll be all fit and done when we get to decorating this damn gym." She sighs and nods.
"Just don't get yerself in more trouble then it's worth, ah'd hate for ya ta get some kind of mental trouble." AJ informs as she punches your shoulder making you nod as you walked away from her.
"Hey you! I'm so glad you're here! I've been actually trying to see things over the gym decorations and I wanted to ask what did you think about do you like it?!" Pinkie asks as she begins showing every corner of the gym including the closet which was pretty festive.
"Pretty awesome Pinks, ya seem to have everything checked off. I'm kinda surprise we're decorating a few days in advance." Pinkie giggles and nods.
"Yeah I know! But when we're super early it means we have time to do other things!" She mentions with a giggle.
"You got that right Pinks. Anything I can help with?" You asked
"Hmmm no nothing much, you could help throw streamers in the air. It's really fun." She mentions as she goes over to a box and proceeds to throw a few streamers along with confetti, but just as she was to approach you unknown to her a roll of streamers had gotten near her foot. With a quick mind you caught her as she had the confetti stuck to her hair.
In all honesty this was the first time you saw a girl in well, an attractive sight. You usually tried ignoring girls and just continue on with your school day like normal, but see Pinkie in such a giggling beauty made you feel warm inside. As you helped her up she didn't say a word and just looked at you in complete silence.
"Little help." You heard someone say, releasing Pinkie's hand you looked towards the gym's open doors to see Big Macintosh struggling with a few crates of cider, running over to him you carried two crates. You had no idea how Big Mac could've held so many crates, as the cider in your arms was already heavy and began slowing you down a bit.
"Thanks Dante, guess I carried way too much. Just put them on the table over there." You nodded and walked over to the plastic folded table near the stage. You looked towards Pinkie who looked back at you with an embarrassed blush to her cheeks, she was cute when she had a dark shade of pink on her cheeks.
"Pinkie's give ya some looks. I bet she's into ya." Big Mac taunted making you shake your head and punch his shoulder.
"Cmon that's Pinkie, a girl who could barely handle being well sane for a few minutes. I'm sure she's just being like that to tease me."
"Ah've seen Pinkie tease, and that isn't her usual teasing. Ah mean she's blushin' and only glancin' at you. Take a look." You subtilely looked past Big Mac to see Pinkie tossing confetti in the air while she gave you side way looks.
"I guess she's into me, b-but that's not really something I need. I'm pretty sure I'll just mess it up." Big Mac laughs and nods.
"Just try to not mess yourself up." He mentions as he walks away, but as he did the same girl you spotted in the hallway entered the gym. Scanning the room she spotted you and walked up to you, it frightened you for a second but you couldn't very run away. Considering the only exit was past the girl who was now near you.
"I'm so glad I've found you, look I know you're freaked out about Spike and him talk, but you have to listen to me. It's extremely important that you do."
"Look girl, I don't who you are, or what you want with me. So as far as I'm concerned I don't have to do anything for you." You try walking past her only for her to tug on your arm as she stops you.
"Dante, I'm not messing around! I need your help, the ponies in Equestria are counting on you to bring peace and harmony back to my world. For celestia's sake I have no idea what to do in this world and I have difficulty doing the most simplest things you consider mundane. So please, please I'm begging you, help me." The girl says with a pleading look as you sighed and looked at her once more.
"My policy about the people at school and helping them sure does give me weird requests. Alright look, I'm gonna try my best to help you with whatever you have. Even though I think you're an escaped mental patient you're someone with a request. And I can't refuse." She hugs you and cries on your shoulder and as she does her puppy barks from her backpack almost as if he was saying praise.
"Now tell me, your name and what exactly are you looking for? I mean I need some info on what I'm helping somebody with." You inform as she lets go and sipes her eyes.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle, I need to get the crown from Sunset, I know I can't steal the crown. And if I don't win the crown from Sunset she'll continue to rule the school with a iron fist."
"Whoa, that's a big request. Something like that won't be easy, it'll be almost impossible. Well without the top party marker around."
"Nothing worth doing is ever easy, maybe Pinkie Pie could help us. So is she around?"
"Yup! I'm here! So whatcha need?" Pinkie asks her usual perky self once more showing.
"Oh Pinkie I'm so glad to see you, Dante told me if I want to take down Sunset I'd need your help." Pinkie giggles and shrugs.
"Well I'm not one hundred percent sure we could take her down, buuuut we could try! Now all you need to do is sign up for the Fall Formal popularity contest, I guess you already have your first vote right here." Pinkie grabs your shoulders giggling as she does, smiling you nodded and looked towards Twilight.
"All we gotta do is sign you up, and you're in the running. Pinks where's the sign up sheet?" You asked
"Oh Raiden took it, he said that a crazy girl was trying to pass Sunset's winning record and he needed the sign up sheet as soon as possible."
"Shit! This is bad, we gotta hurry Twi." Taking her hand you ran past the gym's double doors and through the halls.
Later...
"Wait! What's wrong with Raiden taking the sign up sheet to the office? Isn't that where it's suppose to go."
"You'd think so, yes, but Raiden probably thinks he's protecting you from Sunset's wrath and mostly likely won't let you sign up. We gotta get it back before he does, if he gives it to my mom well you can forget about getting your crown back. Well unless you wanna mug Sunset."
"We aren't doing that." She says glaring at you as you two continue running through the hall.
"Your call Princess." You mention as you finally spot Raiden. "There's the little runt." Letting go of Twilight's hand you ran forward and quickly slid on your knees passing by Raiden as you grabbed the clipboard from him and stopping just mere inches away from the office.
Twilight finally catching up she smiles as you handed her the clipboard.
"No! Dante, don't you remember? You forgot of what she's capable of, she could use whatever she has on Eris on you, or…hurt Rarity." He mentions with a slight blush. "It's too risky, she's won, we lost we can't beat her." He mentions with a defeated look.
"And so what, look I'm tired of being her whipping boy. If she wins somehow we'll rid her influence and we'll finally restore order back in school. Don't you wanna feel good coming to school every morning?"
"I'd love to feel that feeling again." He looks back to Twilight with a small frown. "Are you sure you can do it? Do you really think you can beat her?"
"With Dante's help and some persuasion I'm sure." She says with confidence.
"Do it, just…save this school from her." He says sighing as Twilight signs her name smiling at you as you gave her nod.
"One more thing, you're from another world right?" You asked
"Yes."
"Well you don't have a place to stay?" You asked
"Unfortunately no, as far as I'm concerned I was hoping I'd be provided a room." You chuckled and rubbed the back of your head and began to think. Smiling you snapped your fingers and looked at her.
"While you're here you can sleep in my room."
"Don't you think that'll be inappropriate Dante, you just met this girl." You shake your head.
"No, if she's telling the truth and nothing but the truth then she must've have at least been close to me and you."
"Oh of course! During our first year in Ponyville me and Dante were roommates in Golden Oaks Library. He was there to protect me if anything went wrong, Princess Celestia called him the Harmony protector. He was always there to help us with anything we needed, and of course he was there to protect all of us when we needed it of course." Hearing Twilight gush was plenty reason for you to trust her, she'd never steer you wrong or so you hoped.
"You say you know us, if that's true then tell us about us in your world. What do we accomplish." Raiden mentions crossing his arms.
"Well Dante is Prince of Equestria, but that's a given. He has an arranged marriage with a zebrica princess named Helena, she's his first friend in the world and usually spent time with her when he was lonely. Dante also has a really loyal maid named Dew Drop, she always called him Master and does her best to please him. There's a lot of things to go over from Canterlot, but I'll sum it up. He has a childhood friend named Aleksandr Sherbet, till recently we found out he was a changeling hiding amongst ponies, but he turned on his own kind to protect him and his girl friend Soot. Eris is also his best friend she sorta appeared one day when Discord was released and they're basically roommates in the Friendship Castle, then there's Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, Dante's girlfriends. Those two really love him, Dante and Fluttershy confessed their feelings during the Gala and Pinkie Pie during a wedding when Princess Cadence, my foalsitter and his older cousin/sister married my brother Shining Armor. From there you could say things calmed down, well that was before Tirek almost killed him for trying to fight back. But in the nick of time my friends and I got our magic back and fought back. Around this time you doubted yourself as a protector and thought you failed, but you knew that you could always protect us even if you were good with swords. You didn't have the magic to do it, then Celestia gave you a pair of gauntlets that were your dad's King Sombra and that's it so far. You have dark magic and living pretty great with all of us as friends and with your girlfriends." Twilight finished your story with a smile as you were dumbfounded, you did all that in her world. Yet in this world all you're worried about is talking to others.
"That's quite the story Twilight, I think I need a bit to handle this." You stood back as your back hit the wall.
"Oh oh do me!" Raiden shouts with a smile.
"Well you're next in line for the throne, after Dante of course. You were pretty entangled with a lot of things in Canterlot, you have three best friends, Midnight Ash, Flora Shine, and Morning Sun. All of them were pretty happy they're you're friend. Your life is pretty normal with stuff in Canterlot being exactly the way you think, well there was this one time where you and Screwball single handedly defended yourself against a horde of changelings. You're pretty brave Raiden, trust me." She says smiling as Raiden smiles and cheers.
All in all things were looking up and hope they'd continue like that.
Next Day...
With a day at school come and gone you and Twilight were ready to make your marks on the students of Canterlot High, sure it would be difficult but like Twilight mentioned before nothing worth doing is ever easy.
"Look we need to cement yourself as a potential runner, you being new here not a lot of people are gonna notice or even care for you, that goes double when it comes to announcing your presence as a potential queen. As far as things go the only leaders you're influencing is me and Eris's group of misfits. The fashionistas, the Rockers, the Jocks, and finally the Environmentalists."
"Well how exactly are we going to garner their attention? We have attain it somehow." Twilight mentions as she looks at you with a slight frown.
"Well there's always Vinyl, we get her on our side she uses her awesome beats to get more students on our side. Think of it as political campaign, we won't slander Sunset's name that's been already done." You mumble. "But one problem with Vinyl is that she's incredibly hard to garner her attention, she might be cool with everyone but even talking to her would be prove to be a challenge."
"And whys that?"
"Well Vinyl isn't known to be all that social, instead of isolating herself like I do around others. She welcomes everyone she just likes listening to her music in her own little world." She laughs and nods.
"Well you must be good with girls right? I mean you must've had a lot of girls circling to be your alpha mare."
"Uh no not really, I mean girls are easy to speak to, but I don't get involved with girls all that often. I'm pretty sure it's fear or some type of rejection."
"Well I need her support so please, try to get her on our side." Twilight says with a smile.
"I dunno, Twi. What if I'm not good enough?" You asked
"Not with that attitude you won't." Raiden mentions as he approaches you two with a cardboard box. "Save the 'why are you here, and shouldn't be here'. The moment I let Twilight sign in to the competition it turns into my problem." Removing a vinyl record from the box, he passes it over to you and begins spraying you with some oddly great smelling cologne. "What I'm spreading is Vinyl favorite cologne, and what you're holding is one of her favorite EDM tracks, her free time is usually around 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00, used that to approach her and show her the vinyl record and that'll get her to pay attention to you." Twilight smiles and looks at Raiden with surprise.
"What? I did some research too."
"Not to mention he has the combinations to everyone's lockers." You say with a deadpan look
"Lets not go into semantics, ok? She needs votes and nothing gets it faster than upbeat music team 'vote for me' Vinyl is the girl, and Dante is the man who can convince her, while you go talk with her. Twilight and I will pay a visit to Rarity she can work on a dress for her to address the student council. Take Twilight's puppy with you."
"Great the talking dog." You mention sighing.
"I'm more then a talking dog!" Spike whispers back to you.
"Look puppies are perfect ice breakers, he's your ticket in. Though if you insist on not talking, then we'll let Spike do the talking." Taking Twilight's hand, he begins taking her towards the home ec room. "Let's hurry, Rarity's home period is almost over and we need her to make a dress for you."
"Let's go pal, no room for failure."
"Yeah I hope you're at least as good as the equestrian version of yourself." Spike says sighing.
Elsewhere...
"Okay Twilight if you want votes you will need the leaders of the different circles of school to be on your side." Raiden mentions as he begins explaining names of each person. "Photo Finish, the leader of fashionista circle, knows what's good and bad around the fashion industry, ya know what's in and what's so last season. Brad, Rocker's leader and former best friend of Dante's those two really inseparable when they were kids, I think after middle school those two went their separate ways. Point Dexter, Intellectuals leader, basically one of the smartest student in Canterlot High little nerdy but has a good heart. And finally Rainbow Dash the leader of the jocks she has a bit of an ego and usually boasts on how good she is in playing ball."
"I hope this Rarity is the same as in my Equestria, if she can't help then nobody can." Twilight mentions sighing.
"If she's not, she's even better!" The two enter the room and see Rarity hard at work, her focus solely on her task. "Hello Rarity, your admirer came to say hi again."
"Oh and who's that dear? That shy cousin of yours?" Rarity asks with a giggle as she concentrates on a dress.
"Nope it's Twilight the girl that knows us all, came here with a request for you."
"Oh and what's that?" She turns and gives her a smile.
"I need your help going against Sunset Shimmer, and the only way I could do that is garner support from the different groups around school, Dante's dealing with Vinyl to get a bigger draw from others in school but I need your help in moral superiority." Twilight explains smiling
"And image adviser." Raiden mentions as Twilight begins walking on to a step podium letting Rarity begin taking measurements. "Okay Twilight if you are going to appeal as queen you need a dress that is daring, friendly, and is not afraid to be a bit flirty…oh like this one!" Raiden takes the exact copy of Rarity's current dress. "This is screaming, look at me, I'm powerful and beautiful hmmm?"
"It's flattering but having two dresses of the same style? Oh that'll never work amongst the students of school." She mentions shaking her head.
"Okay we'll keep working, Rarity can we count on your help to bring Sunset down?" He asks
"Well we aren't exactly that powerful of a group to take down a girl like her. I mean even if Vinyl agrees to help Dante, the very few students who are on our side won't compete against the large amount of students on Sunset's side." Rarity explains
"Oh Rarity, you sweet gorgeous, goddess, Rarity…" Raiden gets lost in thought for a second before reacting. "What was I saying? oh yes, oh Rarity, that's why I'm here, I'm going to make Twilight gets more votes from all other leaders of the circle that might even included Pinkie, and before you say something I know you and her are…enemies. But she's the lesser of 2 evils, like you said we'll need her help if we want to stand a chance." He mentions with a smile.
"Oh the pink omen would surely bring down our campaign but if you insist I'll tolerate her for only this one chance." Raiden surprises her with a hug, as Rarity hugged back smiling at his sweet sensitivity.
"Oh thank you, thank you Rarity you are the best…marry me." Rarity mumbles.
"Hmmm what was that?" She asks
"Nothing!" He says with a smile.
Elsewhere...
"There she is, now how do I get remotely close to her? There's gotta be a way right?" You whispered to Spike.
"Why don't you just approach her? Back in Equestria you're Casanova to a lot of mares. So maybe this'll be easy."
"But I'm not that Dante, I'm the one from earth. Cmon give me some advice." Spike sighs before nodding.
"All you have to do is approach her, spark up a conversation. Maybe use that record player near her, my god that's one modern looking record player." He mentions as you nodded and continued walking forward, walking near Vinyl you removed the record from its sleeve and placed it in. Placing the needle down, the music played through the stereo. The music was pretty good nothing you could complain about. Then again EDM was new musical styling to you.
From inside your backpack you heard Spike whisper.
"Alright now, we play the waiting game. Won't take long anyway look." You looked towards Vinyl who removed her headphones as they wrapped around her neck.
Once to her feet Vinyl looked around the room before smiling and walking towards you and swiping the vinyl cover her eyes widen as she removed her sunglasses.
"Holy crap! Where did ya get this hella mix?" She asks
"Uh I got it from a friend, she didn't like the music. She thought it was classical music and pretty much mixed the two." Vinyl nods as she walks over to the record player and begins to turn up the music to almost max. The music was intense and almost made you want to dance, then again EDM was always like that. It was suppose to make you feel good and dance till you dropped.
"You seem to like the music, any reason as to why?"
"Cmon bro? You don't know them, they're the Jaeger Twins! A goddamn god send to the music industry, way better then that poppy bullshit on the radio. And even better then the classical music people at school like. How the hell did you even get a copy? They only sell them in Germany, and even then shipping and finding a copy costs hundreds even thousands of dollars."
"Well, I got it from a friend. He travels the world send it to me as a Christmas present, I guess he forgot I don't have a record player back home." Total lie, you did have one in your room. But it was modernized with a built in radio and dials to turn the volume up or change stations. Your father who was divorced from your mother sent it to you as a Christmas present, the same person who sent you the record thinking you'd listen to it.
"Man! You're one lucky bastard, if I could I'd just lay in here in the music room and just tone everyone out." This was your opportunity, you smiled and walked beside her as you sat down near her.
"Well why don't we just listen? I mean me and you will probably get detention for skipping our next period might as well go out with a bang." Vinyl smirks and nods, getting up from the floor she runs over to her DJ set and connected it to the stage lights built in the music room as the several colored lights brightened up. Running to the door, she locked the door and turned off the light. There was styrofoam covering the walls as it was pretty much silent in the room aside from the music.
"Cmon dude. We're gonna party like we never partied before! Rip off the damn knob and dance like a bunch of jackasses." You chuckled as she helped you putting down your bag and letting Spike out you began your first step into getting Vinyl to be on your side.
