Don´t Say it! Don´t Write It! Don´t Hear It!
It was a long day of preparation. The battle of the bands would soon begin and everyone participating was getting ready.
There had been some problems between a certain alicorn and the Dazzlings, however, things were going be sorted out in the concert given by the school´s students.
Suspicion about the siren´s nature had arisen between Twilight and Sunset, however, their spells seemed to avoid them from uncovering the sirens. Everyone´s fate rested in the concert.
As the multiple students prepared, the trio of sirens spent their time inside the locker room alongside the auditorium.
“You done reading that thing?” Asked Aria, an annoyed look visible on her face and an expression shared by Adagio, who turned to look at her fellow siren. Feeling the weight of the stare, Aria simply grunted. “Whatever.”
“What are you reading, anyway?” Asked Sonata, her usual smile shinning on her face.
Getting one last look at the book, Adagio closed it and turned to look at the siren, a wicked smile on her face. “Something that is going to help us greatly.”
“A guide?” The blue haired girl asked, getting an amused look from Adagio.
“Of sorts.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, the Dazzlings caught a glimpse of an incoming figure, which was soon revealed to be Sunset. The former unicorn had seen activity inside the place, while she was hanging out with the rest of the Element´s counterparts and decided to take a look inside the place.
Sunset caught a glimpse of the weird book on Adagio´s hands, making the siren place it inside her locker, before gazing towards the young girl with a furious look on her face. “What are you doing here, you waste of space!?”
With a frown of her own, Sunset turned to leave the place, but not before she took one look at the sirens. “Why? Afraid of me discovering one of you tricks? You will not succeed in whatever you are doing!”
With those words, the girl left, leaving the Dazzlings alone in the locker room.
Once they were alone, Adagio closed her locker, a smile returning to her features. “I guess I have one trick you wont see coming." Suddenly, the siren´s head gave one little shake, catching the attention of her friends, who gave her a confused look.
“Hey, you okay there?” Asked Aria.
After being silent for a few seconds, Adagio finally turned around and gave the sirens a reassuring smile. “Yeah, let´s get ready for our grand entrance tonight.”
The other two turned to look at each other, struggling to know what just happened.
Night had arrives, as news about the Rainbooms forfeiting the match were now made public amongst Canterlot high´s students.
This did not stop the final competition from taking place, with the Dazzlings taking the stage for their final performance.
It had been a lot of work for them, but everything was now in place to create chaos and feed of everyone present, or at least, that´s what Sonata and Aria thought the plan was
Adagio had seemed to be acting rather strange lately, regardless, this was not the moment to worry about it, because they had a lot of people to ´entertain´.
Things were now set in place and the stage was for the sirens. Every single student was present and ready to hear the song from the three students. As they prepared, Adagio took notice of a curious movement on top of a hill, which was not too far away from the scenario. Twilight and her friends were there, ready to fight against the Dazzlings spells.
However, Instead of feeling nervous, Adagio chuckled.
“Welcome Canterlot high!” Greeted Adagio, her wicked smile hiding behind the microphone, as she kept looking towards the Rainbooms. “Tonight, we were going to give you one last performance, one for the ages.”
Behind her, Aria and Sonata looked at each other, a confused look on their faces.
Adagio continued. “However, we changed our initial idea and instead came up with something special, something all of you deserve!”
The crowd went wild, as they all expected the greatness of the immense spectacle that was about to unfold. As the cheers kept coming, Aria and Sonata prepared themselves to sing, an action not followed by Adagio.
Suddenly and much to the surprise of everyone present, the siren´s eyes turned blood red, as an invisible force took hold of every single student present with the exception of the other two Dazzlings.
“What the Heck is happening?” Asked Sunset from afar, as she tried to get free from the invisible hold, however there was no answer coming to her, the reason being everyone was completely shocked about this.
Back to the Dazzlings, Aria took one step up front and grabbed Adagio by the arm. “What do you think you are doing?”
An smiling Adagio turned to look at her friend and responded. “Something that will set us free.”
After the words left her mouth, she returned her sight to the scared crew and cleared her throat to speak, her eyes never leaving the spooked sight of the Rainbooms.
The spell continued to get hold of the Element´s counterparts, making the girls unable to stop the Dazzlings from doing whatever they were about to do, stop them from gaining control, the problem was... They were about to do something no one would have ever expected, something far worse.
With a huge smile on her face, Adagio opened her mouth, but not to sing, but to spell the words that would bring doom to everyone.
The original plan they had come up with, was now overshadowed by a sinister idea, an idea that was about to break hell loose with just voicing words that for anyone, would seem harmless. After this moment, nothing was going to be the same again.
“Kanda... Es-trada... Montos... Ea-grets...
Out of the open area, an invisible force forced his way out of the deepest pits of hell and unto the land of the living, savoring the moment as the underworld´s legions were summoned to conquer, to kill.
Gat... Nos-feratos...
The forces of hell were now on the run, going towards the source of the chant, for they craved to consume.
Kanda... Amantos...
Twilight turned to look at Sunset, equally on a loss for words at the Dazzlings´ change of plans. They were not ready for what was about to come, as the invisible forces made it to the auditorium.
Kanda.”
BOOM!
Suddenly, the sky exploded, before it was covered in thick gray clouds, widening the smile of Adagio. The other two sirens came alongside her, grabbing the girl´s arms, as the other two began to shake her in an attempt to snap the siren out of her trance. After a few seconds, Adagio turned to look at them.
"We now have our chance, come with me after I´m finished here."
Releasing her from their grasp, Sonata and Aria turned to look at each other, silently deciding whether to go with her or not. Adagio had changed, something had happened and it was something they had to know. Finally taking a decision, the two sirens complied. Things had gone different than they expected, but at least they had stopped Twilight and her friends from fighting against them, still, both Aria and Sonata could not shake the feeling away that something very wrong was happening.
In a fit of desperation, Twilight used all of her strength and will power to escape the spell holding her, but it was to no avail.
On her part, Sunset turned from her friend to the rest of the people in the auditorium, her eyes widening in shock and horror at the scene unfolding in front of them. Her heart pounded faster, as her mouth managed to utter. “Twilight, we have to get out of here.”
Looking just below the hill, the princess noticed that everyone was changing amidst the fog, screaming in pain and agony, as the evil spirits entered their vessels.
It wasn´t long before the horrible screams came to a stop, followed by an agonizing silence. The two heavy breathing friends looked at each other, then the mist that surrounded them, barely noticing the shadows amongst the smoke.
Both Sunset and Twilight felt their hearts stop, as the quiet ambiance was soon changed into small chuckles. Soon enough, everyone inside burst out into a high pitched mocking laugh.
“No, no, no, no...” Muttered the princess, taking notice of the diabolical change the Element´s counterparts were going through, whose faces turned into a wicked smile.
A loud roar made it to the entirety of the Auditorium, before leaving the whole place in dead silence. Everyone was smiling and staring blankly at every direction, not exactly taking notice of neither Sunset or Twilight.
No move nor sound was made, and it was starting to get on the nerves of the two uncontrolled friends, whose face pale had numerous drops of sweat running down their faces.
On her part, Twilight wanted to ask what had happened, yet the words could not come out of her mouth, thankfully or rather sadly for her, her doubts would soon be answered, by the one who had chanted to the evil spirits.
A wicked smile appeared on Adagio´s face, as she looked directly at Twilight. “They belong to us.” The princess shook her head in denial, making Adagio widen her grin, before opening her mouth again. This was it, they had the two friends on their grasp.
Their lives were about end...
“Destroy the princess and that sad excuse of an unicorn!”
As soon as the words left her mouth, everyone´s heads turned towards the two terrified girls.
Placing their sight upon her friends, Sunset and Twilight noticed how the Elements counterpart´s heads had turned one hundred eighty degrees, their smiles never leaving their faces.
It wasn´t long before the spell that had gotten hold of everyone inside the auditorium, was now gone, letting the twisted people free to start a bloody carnage.
There was no time to speak or even make a move before the denizens of hell launched themselves to sodomize the two girls.
Sunset and Twilight, who were the ones right behind the Rainbooms, wasted no time to turn around and try to flee.
They didn´t know if it was because of magic, of simple instinct, but their legs suddenly allowed them reach a very high speed to escape the infested auditorium.
Two figures could be seen going out of the haunted place, running at full speed for dear life across the now tall grass. As the run went on, Twilight looked behind her and noticed a horde coming towards them, with some of the possessed even using the trees as a way to speed their march.
“I´m gonna eat a pony!”
“I want a new place to hide my stick!”
“Good, bad... You are the two dead bitches!”
“Your whore princess is ours, pony!”
The demons´ words certainly did nothing to alleviate the tension the two friends were going through, as they rushed as fast as they could through the tall grass. Soon enough, the duo took notice of the school in the distance, the place where they could get refugee from the demonic horde.
On her part, Twilight found herself incredibly surprised at one particular fact. “How the Heck they know we are ponies!?”
“Are you kidding?” Replied an stressed out Sunset. “This isn´t exactly the time!”
As soon as Twilight was about to reply, a strong force tackled her to the floor, forcing Sunset to stop her advance and look at the source of the princess´ fall.
Smiling on top of Twilight was a rather crazy principal Celestia with her arms up high and ready to tear the flesh out of the girl´s bones.
Reacting quickly, Sunset tackled the principal to the floor and helped Twilight to her feet. “We have to move now!” There was no answer, Twilight was simply too scared to even acknowledge her, however, the run continued.
Trying to loose the horde, Sunset threw barrels and everything she could find to the floor, in order to stop the demon´s advance.
As Sunset sis her best to create as many obstacles as she could, Twilight noticed the janitor´s small warehouse and had an idea. Focusing as much as she could and grabbing Sunset´s hand, the princess conjured a quick spell to create two holographic clones of themselves.
As the magic began to take form, a confused Sunset turned her head, noticing the approaching demons getting closer. “Twilight, whatever you are about to do, do it quickly!”
They were going out of breath, their chests were on fire and their throats completely dry from the sheer amount of force they had been using to escape. They would not be able to resist for much longer.
“Twilight!” Sunset screamed, feeling each time more anxious.
Soon enough, the princess succeeded and managed to create the doppelgangers and just as they were about to reach the warehouse.
Smiling, Twilight pulled Sunset towards her, as they forced the door open with one strong push, successfully getting inside as the two holograms kept running.
Not wasting any second, Twilight got on her feet and quickly closed the door, then hid herself under the window.
As the duo tried to control their breathings, they could notice the demon horde going past them and unto the doppelgangers.
The last of them had just passed, allowing Sunset and Twilight to release the breaths they were holding, as they simply sat in silence, in order to catch their breaths.
The two friends were completely quiet, not daring to speak as they struggled to comprehend what had just happened. They had expected the Dazzlings to use their songs to create an internal fight amongst the Element´s counterparts, but what they had done instead, wasn´t only unexpected, but completely sinister.
“Sunset, are you okay?” Asked Twilight, speaking quiet enough to avoid them being spotted.
Sunset turned to see her friend, her breathing still heavy. “I´m... I´m okay, thank you.”
Twilight smiled in response. “Don´t worry, Sunset, that´s what friends are for.”
The girl grinned in response to the princess´ mention of her. It was hard for Sunset, to be able to regain humanity and achieve retribution for everything she had done and while the rest of Canterlot high did their best to hate her, at least Twilight managed to consider her a friend.
However, this was not the time to thank her. “We need to get out of here and search for a way to get them back to normal.”
“I know,” answered Twilight, her face grimacing as she spoke, “but where to start? I wasn´t aware the Dazzlings had that kind of power." She grunted. "I don´t even know where Spike is, he simply disappeared after the Dazzlings used a spell to keep us still.”
Upon hearing the words, Sunset took her sight off the princess and unto the floor, thinking about what had happened. She didn´t know about the power either, but she had a hunch it wasn´t theirs.
Suddenly, her eyes widened, a memory assaulting her. ” Wait a minute,” said Sunset, catching the attention of Twilight, who turned to look at her, “I remember seeing Adagio placing some kind of book inside her locker.”
“What kind of book?” Asked Twilight.
“It was... Weird, the cover had some kind of face, I thought she simply loved horror novels, I mean, who doesn´t?” Answered Sunset.
The princess placed her hand under her chin, deep in thought about this fact. If there was indeed some kind of magic book involved in this and it was one that could create this kind of massive possession, she shuddered to even think what book it was.
In all of her years as a student, she had been in contact with the occult and while she was restricted to practice any of its arts, she had enough knowledge to come up with a bunch of books that could match the power description of the artifact in Adagio´s possession.
However, she could not be certain about the thought of a magic item being involved. “Do you really think this book could have some involvement in this.”
Sunset closed her eyes and let out a grunt. “I don´t know, but she did look kind of startled about the fact that I saw her reading it.”
“I guess we have to go with that by now.” Answered Twilight.
Sunset grunted again. “We have to go outside.” The princess sighed in response at the girl´s words, she wasn´t particularly happy about the idea. Sunset continued speaking. “Which book you think she´s using?”
“I don´t know,” answered Twilight, “but I hope it is not the one I´m thinking.”
The princess turned around and took a look outside of the room with the intention of seeing any kind of movement. She was expecting at least one of them, but what greeted Twilight, was simply the gentle breeze of the air, coupled by the obscured trees amongst the tall grass.
“I don´t know how it is that the grass changed size so quickly.” The princess muttered.
“Maybe a side effect of the book´s power.” Answered Sunset, as she placed herself alongside Twilight, looking outside as well.
After a few seconds of staring into the nothingness, Sunset turned to see Twilight and placed one hand over the princess´ shoulder. “We better move now.” Twilight nodded in response.
The door was slowly opened, with the two girls being careful not to make any noise, just in case one of them was close. Soon enough the duo went out of the room an unto the open camp, immediately spotting the place where the lockers resided, just alongside the huge stage.
“Let´s go.” Quietly said Sunset, as she started the slow walk, with Twilight going behind her.
On their way towards the place, the duo turned their head towards the sky, noticing the thick black smoke still covering the once shining moon, almost making it seem like it simply disappeared from the sky. They wondered if this event managed to affect everyone in the city, but they were not going to waste time looking into it.
“I can´t even see the stars.” Whispered Twilight, managing to get the attention of Sunset, who turned slightly to stare the princess.
“I can´t even see the sky at all, I have never seen anything like this.” With those words, she returned her gaze towards the road ans sighed. “This doesn´t feel like your average invader, does it?”
Twilight grimaced. “No it doesn´t.” She answered. “Not even the Everfree felt this wrong, I mean, there isn´t even a single sound.”
“Kind of eerie, actually.” Replied Sunset, getting one good look at her surroundings, before turning to stare at Twilight. “Come on, lets hurry.”
The princess nodded, before they continued their march. It wasn´t long before the two girls made it to the locker room, standing outside the place.
Sunset took one look inside, just in case something dangerous popped out, leaving Twilight to stare into the wide open space. The alicorn noticed the numerous trees around them and while they sure looked creepy, it was the fact that they seemed to have faces that spooked her, coupled with the illusion that they all seemed to be staring at her with what looked like lust in their expressions.
The princess suddenly felt an uncomfortable feeling between her legs, something that warned her to avoid getting close to the trees.
“Nothing inside.” Finally, Sunset´s words cut Twilight out of her trance and turned her gaze towards the opening door.
There wasn´t a single sound or even a movement, it was all dead silent. The once illuminated room was completely pitch black, a darkness that invited the duo.
Turning slightly to look at her friend, Sunset gave her a quick nod with her head, before taking Twilight by her hand and proceeding inside the darkness.
“Wish we had a flashlight.” Muttered Sunset, as she struggled to see inside.
The place was a wreck, almost as if a mini - tornado had passed inside the locker room. Clothes, backpacks and some books were lying on the ground.
“Great!” Said Sunset, a frown appearing on her features. “How are we going to find her locker or even that book with all the place trashed?”
“How about we try the only locker glowing in a strange blue light?” Taking notice of the princess´ words, Sunset noticed that indeed, amidst the wreck, only one locker remained completely untouched, with a weird blue glow emanating from it.
The two girls remained completely frozen, deciding whether they would get close or not, when suddenly, Twilight felt a small push on her back.
“Well, go get it, princess.” Sunset said, instantly alarming Twilight.
“Wait, why me?” She replied.
“Because for one, I´m not an egghead and two... Well, actually there isn´t any other better reason than that.” Twilight deadpanned at her friends words.
Finally releasing a grunt, the princess turned her gaze towards the glowing locker, slowly approaching it. Just as she was midway, the princess turned around to stare at Sunset, a worried look painted on her face. Sunset gave her a smile and a thumbs up, making Twilight roll her eyes, before returning her sight to the front. I wasn´t long before the young girl made it in front of the locker, then slowly reached with her hand.
With an almost quiet click, the door gave in and opened to reveal it contents. There, almost waiting for Twilight to find it, was the book and a twisted one at that, but ultimately one the princess recognized.
Holding it with her hands, Twilight´s eyes widened, as her hands began to shake. Taking notice of her reaction, Sunset got closer and took a look at the object on her friend´s hands, her reaction being the same as the princess.
“Is... Is that?” Asked Sunset.
As shaking Twilight turned to look at her friend, her face showing a concerned expression. She had heard about this particular book and the things it was capable of... This was definitely not good.
“Yes, Sunset, it is... This book is the Necronomicon.”
“Twilight, you should really start hurrying it up.”
It had been five minutes since the princess grabbed to book, reading its contents to find some kind of counter spell, something that could return what the book called ´Kandarian demons´, to their dimension in the depths of hell. So far, there was no answer to this interrogative and it was driving Twilight mad.
“Twilight!” Sunset called once more, this time getting the attention of the princess, whose face was covered by several drops of sweat.
“Ugh! I can´t find anything to stop this!”
Sunset sighed. “Did you try the final pages already?”
Instantly skipping some lectures to reach the end of the book, Twilight was greeted with a horrible truth. “No, this can´t be!”
“What?” Asked Sunset.
Twilight turned to look at her, as her expression grimaced. “The last pages... They´re gone.”
Letting out a grunt, Sunset walked towards Twilight, getting a look at the book and discovering that indeed, the last pages had been taken. “Adagio must´ve taken them.”
“Then we have to get them from her.” As the princess said this, she skipped once more through the pages of the Necronomicon, looking for something else of interest between its weird content.
Soon enough, Sunset got a look on something rather interesting. “Wait!” Placing her finger on the book to stop Twilight from changing the page, Sunset returned a few lectures, stopping in a particular image.
“What is that?”
Twilight took a look at the picture, before reading the passage in silence. As the princess did this, Sunset waited for the short version, while she she analyzed the image.
Between to towers, laid a man in what looked like a blue shirt, with something attached to his right arm, the object looking awfully a lot like a chainsaw, which he held up high; on the other hand, the man was grabbing another tool, this one strangely resembling a shotgun releasing some kind of spell; lastly, she noticed the strange gibberish underneath.
Finally, Twilight stopped reading and readied herself to explain. “It has been quite some time since I saw this kind of language, but I think I can make most of it.”
“So?” Asked Sunset.
Returning her eyes to the page, Twilight spoke. “It talks about a hero that fell from the sky, some kind of chosen one. It is said that it was this man that stopped the advance of these... ´deadites´ forever.”
“Well, it doesn´t seem like he did a very good job.” Replied Sunset. “Is there any way to summon him?”
“Unlikely.” Twilight shook her head. “This story goes way back in time, I doubt even the chosen could last that long.”
Sunset placed one hand under her chin, when suddenly she came up with an idea. “Twilight, this books basically brings the dead back to life, can´t we just try to bring this guy?”
Twilight shook her head in response. “The Necronomicon only deals with evil spirits, I don´t it is going to bring something that could stop its power.” Sunset sighed in response. “It seems we are on our own, no chosen one to help us.”
Handling the book to Sunset, Twilight walked towards the door to look through the window, but not to search for any kind of danger, but for her baby dragon, now turned dog. She didn´t exactly know where he went, but the princess could only hope he was okay.
Suddenly, a voice caught Twilight off guard.
“KLAATU, VERATA, NIK...”
“Sunset, wait!”
BOOM!
Just before she could stop the girl, a loud thunder collided against the earth, almost blinding the two girls in the process, with a very intense white light.
As soon as the effect was gone, an angry Twilight turned to look at her friend. “What did you do!?”
Sunset panicked. “I was just trying to see if this chant worked.”
“No help will come from the book, it is downright evil! Sunset, we can´t just play with every single word that comes inside, we could be awaking something far worse than these deadites!” Replied the princess, her tone returning to normal.
Giving away a deep sigh, Sunset couldn´t help but to feel bad about her actions. Twilight was right, something bad could have happened. “I´m sorry, Twilight, I thought this could help.”
“Don´t worry, Sunset, I´m sure you just wanted to help, but we don´t need another kind of demon going after us.”
Sunset opened her mouth to reply, but was interrupted by a sudden noise coming outside of the locker room. Instantly getting into motion, the two girls placed themselves under the windowed door.
Something was walking outside and even if its steps were barely audible, they could still hear them. Watching around the room, Sunset noticed a broom and proceeded to grab it, before turning to Twilight, who nodded in response. The princess grabbed the handle, getting ready to head out, until...
“Twilight? Twilight!”
“Spike!?” Almost screamed the surprised girl, as she opened the door completely.
The princess released the breath she was holding, as soon as she took notice of an all too familiar dog. She had feared this evil took hold of her friend and although Twilight wasn´t sure how exactly he was untouched, she was glad to have found him.
Taking her friend by surprise, Twilight wasted no time into locking the dog into a warm hug, which lasted a few seconds, before she released him from her grasp and held him in her hands. “Where were you, are you alright?”
“Yes, I escaped when everything started.” Spike answered, a thin grin on his face. “Twilight, what is happening? I went to Canterlot high when I saw most students rounding up around the statue, I tried to get close but Luna attacked me.”
“Did she hurt you?” Asked Twilight, clearly worried about the dog´s well being.
He gave her a small chuckle as a response. “No, I managed to escape, I figured I would find you here when I didin´t see you at the school.”
As soon as he finished, Twilight once more pulled him into a warm embrace, moments before Sunset decided to get close.
“Spike,” she called him out, grabbing the dog´s attention, “Did you see any of the Dazzlings around there?
“No, I didn´t, there was only a huge crowd of humans, maybe they were inside,” Sunset grunted at his response. “I also heard some of the students talking about someone named Dagan, or more like praising really! Everyone in Canterlot high looked like zombies.”
Twilight and Sunset turned to look at each other. “Dagan?” Asked the princess, getting a nod from Spike.
“Do you think this Dagan was the one who gave Adagio the book?”
Standing from her crouching position, with Spike on her arms, Twilight faced her friend and opened her mouth. “It could be, but nothing is completely certain right now, our best bet is to head towards the school and search for the Dazzlings.”
Heading towards the door, Sunset gave her friend a smile. “You know? I wasn´t expecting a suicide mission when I called for your help, which makes me wonder if you were the one that brought us bad luck.” Twilight rolled her eyes, a grin appearing on her face, as Sunset turned to look at the dog. “I´m surprised you managed to get here without getting attention.”
Spike gave her a worried look. “About that...”
CRASH!
Just before Spike could finish his sentence, a loud sound came from the outside, alerting the three friends, who placed themselves behind the door. Twilight grabbed a backpack that laid on the floor alongside her and placed Spike inside it, meanwhile Sunset looked outside.
The girl grunted. “Seems like you didn´t get rid of Luna after all.”
Moving towards the door, Twilight noticed that indeed, Luna was outside, running around the place like a lunatic. The princess turned to look at Sunset. “Lets wait until she´s gone.” Sunset nodded.
The silhouette of Luna was running around the place in circles, a lunatic smiled carved on her face. It almost seemed like she was only playing with them and could only hope that she went away. Soon enough, Luna stopped on her tracks and remained still, not a single muscle moving.
Spike, Twilight and Sunset remained in complete silence, staring at the bizarre image. On her part, Twilight thought the demon was resting, giving them the opportunity to escape, as such, she turned around to stare at Sunset. “This is our chance.”
With a nod from her head, the trio went out outside, being careful to avoid getting the deadite´s attention.
Slowly making their way behind a possessed Luna, the trio could see the school in the distance. As soon as they found themselves at a considerable safe space, the girls turned around, now confident that they had escaped an unnecessary confrontation, when...
Crash!
The sounds of feet moving caught the trio by surprise, who turned around to look at Luna and much to their disdain, she was no longer there.
“Um... Twilight?” Said a terrified Sunset, never taking her eyes off the spot.
After a few seconds of heavy breathing, Twilight finally managed to gain enough courage to speak. “Yes, Sunset, I know, Luna´s gone.”
“Where...”
HE HE HE HE HE!
A diabolical laugh caught the two girls by surprise, who slowly turned around to see where the sound came from.
Their eyed widened as soon as they saw what happened... Luna was behind them, a kill look on her face and a full grown smile plastered on her face.
A few tense seconds passed before the deadite spoke. “Where´s my little doggie!” As soon as the words left the Kandarian demon´s mouth, she raised her arm, which held a long pointy knife, before bringing it to the two frightened girls.
Moments before the knife made contact, Sunset and Twilight moved from the way, then began their run towards the school.
Not wasting any second, Luna went after them, but instead of running like a normal human would, she went on all four legs, still managing the get a lot of speed.
“Dead by dawn!”
“No, not again!” Said Twilight, feeling the weight of the situation once more.
Sunset turned slightly to face her friend and talked. “We need to get to Canterlot high, fast!”
From the inside of Twilight´s backpack, Spike came into view, eyes widening at the scene. “What the Heck is going on?”
“The dazzlings summoned various demons with the Necronomicon´s aid.” Twilight answered, still on the run.
Reaching inside the backpack, Spike took out the aforementioned magical object. “You mean this book? Man, it surely gives me the creeps.”
“Leave it inside, Spike! Don´t touch it, we don´t know what else it is capable of...”
Just before she finished her sentence, a shining object made it past the trio, with the pointy end of the knife cutting some of Twilight´s hair. None of them had enough time to react, before a maniacal Luna jumped against them. Soon enough, the deadite had Twilight pinned down and facing the floor, meanwhile Sunset landed a few feet away from them.
A scared Spike noticed the widening grin of the deadite, as it looked at him with hungry eyes. “Little puppy too big for my mouth! Let me fix that!”
Placing both of her hands inside her mouth, Luna began to pull apart her own jaw from the upper side of her mouth, ripping the skin of her cheeks. Quickly pulling both hands away, the deadite went for the kill.
A wooden stick found its way to Luna´s head, as she was about to bite Spike. The deadite was sent to the floor, blood going everywhere as her body touched the ground.
“Twilight, come on!” Exclaimed Sunset, pulling the princess to her feet. “The school is right up ahead, we need to move now.”
A moment of silence came from the girl, who noticed the blood all over them, forcing her to remain catatonic for a few seconds, before a hand shook her from her trance.
“We need to move now!”
Finally shaking her head, the princess returned to reality and gave Sunset a shaky nod, before they resumed their run.
The screams of the deadite could be hear behind them, as the trio made it to the back doors of the place. Sunset used her body to push both doors, letting Twilight and Spike come after, then closed them as fast as she could and locked it.
A brutal force collided against the metal entrance, leaving a mark in it, however, it did not brake. Not wanting to stay and figure if the door could handle, the two girls ran away into the long hallway and inside Celestia´s office.
Quickly closing the door behind them, Sunset dropped to the floor, catching her breath in the process, meanwhile, Twilight took hold of the dog and held him in her arms “Spike, are you okay? Did she hurt you?”
The dog looked at her, his eyes wide open, as he tried to stomach what had happened. He forced himself to speak, but words could not come out, not after such a traumatic experience. Spike´s chest could be seen moving at a high speed, proof of his uncontrolled heavy breathing. After a few moments, the first tears started to come out from the dog, making Twilight place her hand on the dog´s cheek.
“Spike?” She called gently, not wanting to startle him.
“Her... Her m... Mouth.”
Quickly understanding the situation, the princess took hold of Spike and placed him in a warm embrace. “It´s okay Spike, you´re safe now.”
As the moment of silence passed, before Sunset got close to the duo, placing herself on one knee, as she placed her hand over Twilight´s shoulder. “Is he okay?”
Twilight sighed in response and shook her head.
“Twilight,” Sunset called, “we need to move, do you think he can make it?”
Twilight sighed again. “I... I don´t know, Spike is... “Instantly feeling something weird, the princess turned to look at the dog. “He´s asleep.”
“Oh, okay.” Answered Sunset, a little surprised at this turn of events. “Cool self defense system.”
“Yep.” Not long passed before the two recovered their senses, making them focus on the goal. “Sunset, we need to move, the faster we find the Dazzlings, the better.”
The girl grunted. “Not that crazy to return to the freak show, you do realize all of our friends are possessed?”
Twilight lowered her head. “I know and I don´t know how we can get them back, or even if we can get them back.” Turning her gaze towards Sunset, Twilight let out a sigh. “I can´t believe this is happening. Oh dear, did you see Luna?”
Sunset shook her head. “Look, let´s just keep moving, if there is a way to get everything back to normal, then we need to act now.”
“I know,” answered Twilight, “but what if there isn´t a way? We don´t know how far this possession went, for all we know all the city could be infested.”
“The more reason we need to get answers from those sirens.” With those words, Sunset turned around and headed towards the door, placing her hand on the knob, before turning to look at her friend. “You ready?”
“Not really.”
With one movement, the door was opened, giving way to the two girls, with Twilight behind setting Spike on her backpack. The hallway was surely dark, although not to the point where they could see nothing, which gave them a sigh of relief.
The duo started to walk, watching in all directions in search of a deadite. It was all rather quiet, not a single sound, just as the forest alongside the auditorium.
So far they had been witnesses of a horrible experience and while injuries such as the one Luna made upon herself look far too bad, they still had hope they could fix this.
The walk continued without problems, as the two girls reached an intersection. They had no clear idea on where the Dazzlings were, making their search the more stressful for them. Several photos and trophies were on the floor, with many of the lockers either open or down on the floor.
Suddenly, the walls began to make a cracking noise, almost as if the ceiling was alive. Focusing on her thoughts once more, Twilight wondered why these deadites were close to the portal. She was almost sure demons could not enter it, however, there was a sick feeling on her chest that wouldn´t simply leave her.
Amidst the silence, Twilight turned to look at her friend. “Sunset, about what Spike said, do you think these Kandarian demons made it to Equestria?”
She sighed. “I sincerely hope not, but even if they did, I´m sure the princesses will...”
“HELP!”
A sudden voice caught them by surprise, instantly stopping their advance, as they turned to the source of the call.
“Twilight,” called Sunset, “that sounded awfully a lot like...”
“Please, someone help me!”
The princess was soon assaulted by recognition. “Celestia!” She turned her gaze towards Sunset. “We need to hurry, she´s in danger.”
The two girls suddenly found themselves running towards the cafeteria, passing down the lab, when Sunset suddenly stopped midway, her eyes completely lost in the door´s window and inside the room. Noticing this, Twilight faced her.
“What´s wrong?”
Sunset shook her head, as she set her eyes on the road ahead once more. “Nothing, It´s just that I could have sword that deer head was laughing at me.”
“What?” Twilight asked, not exactly knowing what to think about this, making her shake off the thought. “Let´s just get to the cafeteria.”
Leaving the strange illusion behind, Sunset continued her run behind Twilight, getting ready to fight whatever is in the other side of the doors.
“Someone, please!”
“We´re coming!” Screamed Twilight, as she pushed both doors with her shoulder, instantly bursting inside the place. “Celestia!”
Just in front of the two girls, laid the principal chained by her hands, blood dripping down her stomach,as well as her forehead; besides her was a rather particular guy. Sunset narrowed her eyes.
“Flash.”
The boy turned his head around to greet the two girls, his face obscured by the darkness surrounding them.
“Girlfriends!” He called out, passing his hand through Celestia´s hair, then her face and finally her breasts.
Twilight frowned. “Let her go, Flash!”
The boy chuckled. “Why? I haven´t fucked in a millennia.” The two girls placed themselves in battle position.
“I won´t ask again, Flash.” Said Sunset, greeting her teeth. “Let her go.”
The tired principal turned to look at Twilight, her eyes pleading for the princess to save her. “Twilight, please, don´t let him hurt me.”
The deadite gave her one slap to the face, before giving one step up front, his face serious, with most of it hidden under the shadows. “You want her? Come get her.”
As the words left his mouth, a sinister cackle made it to the entirety of the room, forcing the two girls to attack. The due grabbed their hands, as a white light emanated from them. It wasn´t long before a powerful beam was released towards the Kandarian demon, who had launched himself against the two girls.
The blast made impact as they expected, leaving Flash´s body fall to the floor and leaving the place free for the girls to approach the principal.
Not wasting any second, Twilight grabbed one kitchen knife to cut the ropes surrounding Celestia´s wrists, letting her fall to the floor. Instantly reaching for her, Twilight held her in her arms.
“Celestia, are you okay?” Asked Sunset.
The principal let out a weak smile, as she tried to recover her strength. “Yes, I am, thank you Sunset.”
“We should get out of here, the whole school is in trouble.” Replied Twilight, getting Celestia to her feet.
The principal used as much force as she could to stand up, looking at her surroundings, then faced the duo. “Thank you girls and thank you Twilight, I knew I made the right decision when I made you an alicorn.”
Upon her words, Twilight couldn´t help but to smile, whereas Sunset lowered her head. She had been her student in the past and while the girl knew she had failed the princess, she still saw her with love. In the end, she had no anger against Twilight, she simply had proved to be a good friend for her.
Soon enough, the moment was ruined by the sound of a maniacal laughter, getting the attention of the two girls and the principal. Sitting on the floor, was a still smiling Flash, looking at the girls with a mocking face.
“Where are the Dazzlings?” Demanded Sunset. “And why are you laughing?”
Finally, after a few seconds of the mocking laugh, Flash´s face turned serious. “The sirens are deep up your ass and to answer your question of why I´m laughing... Well, it is simply because you are so gullible.” A widen grin appeared on the deadites features, making Twilight frown.
However, contrary to the princess, Sunset held a worried look. “Twilight,” the girl turned to look at her friend, “how does principal Celestia know about alicorns?”
Upon hearing Sunset´s words, Twilight couldn´t help but to widen her eyes in both shock and fear, just before an evil laugh came from behind them.
“Uh oh.” Was all that Twilight could say before she felt an object penetrating her shoulder.
The poor girl couldn´t help but to scream in pain, as the kitchen knife found its way to her bone. Instantly reacting, Sunset grabbed a nearby plate and crashed it against the principal´s face, then reached for Twilight and helped her to her feet, before running towards the kitchen´s exit. As the two girls ran, a distant shot was fired, however, they did not pay attention to it.
Two forces made their way behind them, but they were too far to know where the two girls were, giving them the opportunity to hide inside another room and wait for them to pass.
Pushing a nearby classroom´s door, Sunset and Twilight got inside, finding themselves hiding from danger yet again. As the sounds of moving objects stopped the silence of the school, Sunset turned to look at Twilight´s injury.
“How do you feel?” Asked the girl, getting a grunt from response.
“How do you think? Celestia just stabbed me with a knife.”
Rolling her eyes, Sunset tore one piece of her cloth and placed it around her shoulder. “Stop being such a baby and for the record, that wasn´t Celestia, at least not anymore.”
As she was in the verge of crying, Twilight couldn´t help but to give her friend a thin smile. “Sunset, thank you.”
The girl was about to answer, when they heard someone approaching the classroom where they were hiding.
Taking refugee behind the huge desk in front of the classroom, Sunset could notice that the approaching figure was none other than Flash.
“Are you here, girlfriends?” Asked the deadite. “I don´t know about you, but you two plus this classroom really turns me on.”
The figure suddenly turned towards the direction the two girls were hiding and approached the desk, scratching the walls of the classroom with his now long nails, a perverted smile on his face.
“Come on girls! There´s enough Flash for the two of you and we can always sort things out in a threesome!”
The girls found themselves shaking uncontrollably, doing their best to remain as silent as possible. They could only pray the deadite would leave the place.
Sweat began to run from Twilight´s face and not only from the tense situation, but for the horrible pain on her shoulder. She was at least glad that Spike was well protected inside the backpack, at least she didn´t have to worry about him, however, she still had the Necronomicon inside with the dog.
On her part, Sunset took the decision to have a look out of their hiding, only to see if the deadite was gone, however, what greeted her was the classroom completely empty.
Sunset´s face paled as soon as she noticed what had happened.
“Waifus!” Screamed the demented Kandarian demon, as he used his hand to grab Sunset by her head, before throwing her across the room. His eyes once more focused on the hurt princess, who did her best to crawl away from the deadite.
“You know,” said the demon, preparing himself to jump on Twilight, “you are my favorite, Twilight, I always wanted to savor your skin... As I rip every flesh from your bones!”
Just as the perverted deadite was about to launch himself towards the downed Twilight, a gun blast resounded across the room, culminating with the boy´s head exploding from the impact.
The princess let out a scream of surprise at the sudden scene, then turned to look at Flash´s dead corpse between her legs. Quickly realizing this, Twilight backed away and tried to clean herself from the blood splatter.
“Twilight, are you okay?” Said Sunset, who had just made it to the princess side, however, the young girl did not answer.
Twilight´s eyes had noticed something at the other side of the door, a shadow that was approaching them and the thing that had killed the Kandarian demon. It wasn´t long before Sunset realized what Twilight was staring at and was soon fixed in the figure.
Not wasting a second, they got on their feet and in combat position, just in case it was dangerous.
Soon enough they recognized the silhouette as human, even though his right hand held what looked like a chainsaw, with the other one holding the tool that had killed the deadite.
The shadow came to a stop in front of the two frightened girls, who simply stared at what was clearly a man. They waited for him to make a move. Finally, after a few moments of silence, Twilight managed to speak. “Who... Who are you?”
“Me?” Answered the figure. “Well, they call me by many names, some call me the chosen one, others call me the handsome devil, but for you baby... I´m the king.”
The sun was only four hours away to rise on the horizon and every student and teacher now turned deadite, were rounded up around Equestra´s portal. From the inside of the school, three figures made themselves be seen.
Aria and Sonata walked behind Adagio, who made her way between the possessed students and towards the statue. As the siren made it without a problem, every deadite was instead seeing with watering mouths the other two girls.
“Psst.” Suddenly, Sonata called Aria. “Is it just me or she´s acting a little weird?”
Aria rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed at her friend. “And just now you noticed it? Be honest, did you suffer a fatal injury in your head when you were little?”
“No need to be that rude.” Exclaimed Sonata, a frown appearing on her face, which was only replied by a grunt from Aria.
“Yes, I need to, its not everyday you find someone as stupid as...”
“Come on, girls,” interrupted Adagio, her eyes still fixated on the statue, “there is no need to fight, we have achieved something great.”
“And what is that?” Asked an annoyed Aria. “Taking control of this stinking world?”
Adagio chuckled in response, placing herself alongside the portal. “No, this world does not matter, but rather the one behind this mirror and now we have the tools to enter.” As the words left her mouth, the siren took out a few pages from her pockets, setting them up high for her friends to see. “These pages contain the spells necessary to allow us cross the portal.”
“And?” Asked Aria. “As soon as we set foot in Equestria, the princesses will not even give us the opportunity to walk a meter.”
“Well... We wont be going alone.” Answered Adagio, making the two sirens realize her plan.
Aria wide opened her eyes. “You didn´t summon these demons just to get rid of Twilight and absorb her magic, did you?”
The siren chuckled, turning her gaze towards the rest of the deadites. “When the first light hits the statue, the portal will open, allowing us to release the Necronomicon´s evil into Equestria.” In a moment, Adagio´s eyes turned red. “We will be free, we will no longer remain chained in the misery of the observer! After this day, we will have the freedom we have long searched for!”
Turning her eyes towards the two sirens, Adagio noticed the unsure expression on their faces and decided to act. “Isn´t that what we wanted? To find a way back to the world we deserve?”
Aria and Sonata turned to look at each other, not knowing what to answer. Yes, they craved to return, but they did not know for how long these Kandarian demons would remain loyal, not to Adagio, but to them... Considering they were for a start.
On her part, Adagio took the time to admire her physique, every single feature on her face and every single hair on her head. “When dawn comes,” she turned to look at the two sirens, raising her finger, “its shinning light will illuminate this side of the mirror and...”
BANG!
In a moment, the crystal Adagio was pointing at, was shattered, catching the attention of the surprised siren, who turned around to look at what happened, when a sudden voice caught her off guard.
“And that´s why you don´t buy second hand.” Adagio roared in anger at the approaching figure, who held a shotgun in his hand. “You want to avoid those kind of problems? Shop smart, shop S-mart.”
Adagio hissed, walking towards the figure. Her face showed clear anger, as she recognized the man standing in front of them.
“You...”
The man smiled. “That´s right bitch... Me!”
One hour earlier
“Wow, hey! Why the hell was that for?” A book went flying over the man´s head, who did everything in his power to stop the wrath of an angered girl.
Suddenly, the man was tackled to the floor by Sunset, who grabbed his limbs to stop him from moving, then turned to look at her friend. “Twilight, now!”
“Now what?” Asked the confused man, as something hard found its way to his head.
In a moment, the human male was attacked by numerous punches committed by a purple teenager holding a broom stick.
“Oh, stop it, you little bastards!” Screamed the man, who did his best to protect himself with his only free hand. “Not the face! Not the face!”
The punches continued for a few moments, before Twilight stopped her rage attack, taking a few deep breaths in the process. As she did this, the man turned to look at her, a frown clearly visible on his face.
“Are you done playing piñata?” His question was soon answered by a another hit.
This time, the guy had enough and used all of his strength to get up with Sunset still attached to his back. “Oh, you little...”
Throwing Sunset away, the man turned around in time to stop another incoming attack with his hand, then took the weapon away from Twilight´s hands and broke it with his knee, then proceeded to grab the girl by her hand and pin her to the ground.
Far from the punch Twilight was expecting, the human simply stared at her. “Answer me a question, do I look like one of those damned things to you?”
“No you don´t,” answered an angry Twilight, “but you killed one of my friends!”
“Listen to me, Barney girl!” Called the man. “That thing there was not your friend anymore.”
What?” Asked Twilight, calming herself more by each second that passed.
“Once these deadites get to you, there is no turning back, not even if they voluntarily leave the body.” Twilight widened her eyes in horror at this new fact. “Your friend was already dead the moment this asshole took control of his body.”
As the news hit against her hard, Twilight remained in silence, her eyes wide open as she struggle to swallow the man´s words.
Noting that the girl had calmed, the human let her go and stood right, staring at her for a few moments... Then something tackled him once more to the floor.
“Oh, come on! Not again!” Sunset had the man on the ground, as she started punching his face. “Get off me, you crazy bitch!”
Returning to her senses once more, Twilight stood up and walked towards the two of them. “Sunset, stop, let him go!”
However, her friend and the human were too lost to even hear her. Noticing none of them them was listening, the princess decided to step in the middle and grab Sunset with her arms. “Leave him be, he is not here to kill us.”
“What!?” Replied the angry girl. “Didn´t you see him kill Flash?”
As Twilight struggled to keep her friend at bay, the man stood up, cleaning his shirt off in the process. “I´m sorry to have killed your bed diversion, but that kid was already gone.”
Angered by the man´s statement, Sunset once more used all of her strength to get herself free from Twilight´s grasp. The angry girl launched herself against the man, once more pinning him to the ground, as she ended on top of him.
Twilight was about to aid this human, when she noticed something about him. The blue shirt, the shotgun, the red chainsaw and the knowledge he had about what was happening. Recognition hit her hard, almost making her facepalm at her stupidity. Now she knew who the man was.
Running toward the two, the princess once more grabbed Sunset, but she didn´t let herself get caught again. “Sunset, you have to let him go, we can trust him!”
“Are you crazy?” Asked the girl. “How do you even know that.”
“Because I think he is the chosen one.”
A right hook made it to the man´s winnie between his legs, making Twilight cringe at this. As the guy rubbed his member in complete pain, Sunset turned around to look at Twilight, her eyes wide open. “What?”
Calming herself a little more, Sunset began to stand up, leaving the guy on the floor, who was still occupied on the pain he felt.
“Look at him, who else would be crazy enough to come here? Who else would know what these things are? Also look at his clothes.”
Following her instructions, Sunset turned to look the man, analyzing his features.
A moment of silence endured before the guy talked again. “You know? Lets start with the first rule of this beautiful relationship: Stay away from little Ash.”
Letting the guy´s words slip by, Sunset got close to him, a worried look on her face. Getting on one knee, she gave the guy a helping hand. “Look, I´m sorry, I thought you were going to...”
“You though I was going to waste my time ripping apart your little pretty body, when there is an army of deadites outside? And you decided to attack me, instead of them?” Sunset closed her eyes, ashamed of their actions. “Girl, I would be very mad at you for such a dumbass action, if you weren´t so gorgeous.”
As soon as the words left the man´s mouth, Sunset couldn´t help but to furiously blush. It had been quite some time since someone called her that, Heck, she wasn´t even sure if someone or somepony had called her that in her life.
Interrupting the moment, Twilight, who had taken her backpack again, walked towards the human. “Are you really the chosen one?”
“That´s me in the flesh, baby, but please don´t call me that, it really sounds like one of those board-game heroes nerds play.” Standing to his full height, which was similar to Celestia´s, the man placed one thumb on himself. “My name Is Ashley J. Williams, just call me Ash.” Twilight chuckled a bit at this. “What´s so funny?”
The princess smiled. “Isn´t Ashley a girl´s name?”
Ash crossed his arms in response. “What about your name?”
Extending her arm forwards to shake Ash´s, which he handed, the girl´s grin went wider. “My name is Twilight Sparkle.”
After the words left her mouth, Ash couldn´t help but to release a loud mocking laugh. “Seriously? Is your name actually Twilight?”
The princess frowned. “Yes, why?”
“Girl, with a name like that, I´ve officially lost eighty percent of respect for you.” Twilight crossed her arms, and angry look on her face. “No seriously, the movies are painfully atrocious.” As the princess let out a grunt in response, Ash turned to look at the other girl. “And what about you? You look like the kind of girl whose name can melt any man.”
“I´m Sunset Shimmer.” Replied the girl, the blush on her face refusing to leave, which made Ash chuckle as he turned to look at Twilight.
“You see that, Bella? That´s what I call a fitting name.” The princess grunted.
“My name is not Bella.” Replied an annoyed Twilight, however her words went completely unnoticed by Ash.
“You know, you should really sue your parents,” Twilight replied with a ´what?´that once again was ignored by Ash, “although, if they are the soapopera kind of folks, I understand something went wrong inside their heads when they named you like that.”
Contrary to Twilight´s anger for having her name mocked, Sunset let out a hearty laugh, however, the princess would simply not stand for this.
“Can we stop making fun of my name and get out there to sort things out?”
Just before she could even give a step, Ashley placed one hand on her chest. “Woah there, girl! In no way I´m letting you go confront those lousy bastards, better let me do the work.”
Removing Ash´s hand, Twilight grunted in response. “We are not helpless you know?”
“Hell, after that serious beating, sweet cheeks here gave me, I´m sure you aren´t, but these deadites are not joke.” Twilight rolled her eyes. “I really need to know why these guys are surrounding that statue.”
Getting close to the duo, Sunset looked at Twilight, who nodded in response, before setting her eyes on Ash. “Actually, we may know why they´re there.”
The man turned to look at her, with an expression that said ´tell me´.
“To tell you the truth, it is... Rather complicated to explain what is at the other side of that mirror.”
Getting huge interest on Twilight´s words, Ash went through a lot of meanings behind the sentence. ´Behind the mirror´, this was the phrase that caught him off guard and it could only mean one thing. “You mean the thing is a portal to another world?” Twilight nodded. “Okay... “
“Please, don´t panic or anything for what we´re about to tell you,” started Twilight, “I know it could be a little complicated to understand or even believe but...”
“Come on, get on with it, pronto!” Reclaimed the impatient man, letting out a grunt from Twilight.
Just before the princess could even speak, Sunset got closer. “We are actually ponies that come from another dimension and that portal is our way home.”
“See there, Sprinkles? Easy and straight to the point, my kind of girl.”
As Sunset, once more, found herself blushing, Twilight couldn´t help but to feel surprised at Ash´s seemingly lack of response for the sudden information about them. “Wait,” she called out, “why aren´t you surprised?”
“Lady, you´d crap your panties if you saw to the kind of worlds I´ve been to.” Twilight grunted. “Let´s just say that a land of ponies pales in comparison to the things I´ve seen.”
Suddenly, Sunset got closer, interest clear in her eyes. “So, you are some kind of world traveler?”
Just before the man could even answer, Twilight stepped between the two. “Can we leave this for later? We need to find the Dazzlings before they find a way into Equestria and I´m not really feeling that comfortable around Flash´s dead corpse.”
“As I said before,” Ash replied, his tone serious, “I can´t let you go with me, these guys aren´t joking around.”
“And as I said before, you... Lady...named guy...”
“Wow, that was horrible.” Replied Ash, not really annoyed by Twilight´s words.
Already getting angry at the situation, the princess decided to cut things short. “Look, were I come from there aren´t only ponies, but also ponies that can use magic and I´m one of them as well as Sunset, so we´ll be coming with you, want it or not!”
After a few seconds of silence, before Ash let out a deep sigh. “Alright, it´s your funeral.”
“Don´t underestimate us, chosen one, we have been through a lot.” Said Sunset, a smile plastered on her face.
The man couldn´t help but to chuckle at her words. “Geez, just call me Ash, alright?” With those words, he began to walk towards the door, placing himself right at the exit, then turned around to look at the two girls. “From now on, you follow each and every single one of my instructions, if you don´t you´ll be most likely dead, understand?”
The two gulped in unison.
“Also, don´t... I repeat DON´T trust deadites, they will trick you into thinking they are the ones you love and when they get you on their lies... BANG! You´re a goner, you got that?”
This time, the two remained silent, their expressions horrified at this.
“Good, now let´s go.” Replied Ash, who went out of the classroom, with the two girls going behind him.
As soon as the trio went outside, Sunset and Twilight noticed an all too familiar corpse on the floor.
“Celestia.” Whispered Twilight, who turned to look at Ash. “Are you sure there isn´t any way to get them back?”
Ashley sighed in response. “If there really was, I would have used it years ago to bring back the people I´ve lost.”
Sunset lowered her head. “I´m sorry.”
“Hey! Don´t worry, things happen and that´s that, no point in loosing your cool about these things when you can just act.” Ash answered, getting a smile from the girl.
“Beautiful words for a demon killer.”
Ash chuckled. “Just part of my job, baby.”
The walk continued in silence, as the three figures approached the entrance of the school. Twilight had been observing the chosen one all time, trying to deduce what kind of man he was, sure, he would have to have a good soul for being the one to carry all this weight on his shoulders, but there were things about his personality that seemed a bit too rude for a being chosen to contain the evil. She figured this kind of job did things to one´s personality.
On her part, Sunset was struggling to have a clear idea about him, sure she liked Ash, he was kind of cool, but not everyone that found themselves in these kind of situation would always leave the battlefield intact. At least she was glad that the words she spoke earlier had worked. ´What were they?´ She thought, trying to remember the chant, ´I think it was Klaatu, Verata, Nik... Umm Nik, Nikle, Necktie, ugh! It was an N word, it was definitely an N word.´
“So...” Suddenly, Ash´s words caught the attention of the duo. “You were telling me these Dazzlings,” ´Stupid name´ he thought, “were the ones that wanted to get to your world?” Twilight nodded. “So that must mean they´re the ones that summoned these deadites with the aid of the Necronomicon?”
“Yes, they did,” answered Twilight, “but they do not have the book,” upon hearing the words, Ash stopped his tracks and turned around to stare at the two girls, “we have it.”
“And... If you have the book, why didn´t you try to get rid of them? Sprinkles, you´re really living up to your name.”
Twilight grunted in response to Ash´s words. “We do have the book, however, the Dazzlings stole some of these pages.”
Thinking for a second, Ash turned around to continue his march, followed by the two girls. “If they have the pages they need, why aren´t you freaked out about them going to your world?”
This time, Sunset answered. “If such thing had happened, we would have known by now, although why they haven´t, we don´t really know.”
“Deadite´s power diminishes with the coming of dawn, however, they can control weather to their liking.” Explained Ash. “I´ve seen some of their portals work with sunlight, even if the entire sky gives you the impression it´s still night.”
Twilight gave him a confused look. “Why would darkness creatures have doorways that work on sunlight?”
“It´s either some kind of mock to the light,” answered Ash, “or these bastards simply love being sodomized; either way, I´ve seen deadites powerful enough to withstand light and when this happens... You luck is over.”
Gulping in response, the two girls continued their walk across the long, dark hallways of the school. Same as before, everything was in silence.
On her part, Twilight was struggling to understand how the Heck these demons managed to remain so silent, then again, she had never been in such contact with the dark arts.
Not long passed before the silence was over.
“Dagan! Dagan! Dagan!”
As the trio approached the exit, they could hear several deadites chanting the name in unison, almost as if they were praising the appearance of a lord. For Ash, he made an effort to remember where he heard the name before, it simply was too familiar to him.
“Ash?” Suddenly, Sunset interrupted the man´s thoughts. “Do you know who this Dagan is?”
“The moment I know, you´ll be the first I tell,” Sunset smiled, “come on.”
As the chants continued, the trio placed themselves alongside the enormous metal doors and took a peek outside. Indeed, all the school was outside, with every single deadite surrounding the statue; Ash figured this was the portal the girls were talking about. Averting his sight from the statue, the chosen one spotted three girls walking towards the portal.
“So, these are the girls with the stupid name.”
“The Dazzlings.” Corrected Twilight, getting a dead pan expression from Ash.
“You have a problem in the head if you think I´m going to say it.” Twilight frowned. “I already have to bring myself to remember the worst two hours and a half of my life, each time I say your name.”
Just before Twilight replied, Sunset grabbed her friend by the arm, catching her attention. “Twi, aren´t those the Necronomicon´s pages?”
In response, both Ash and the princess turned around to notice Adagio holding the pages in her hands, as she held them up high.
As the two girls stared at the Dazzlings, Ash used the time to look at his surroundings. They needed the pages and they needed them now. Suddenly, the chosen one overheard some important information about the portal, proving his theory right and indeed, they could only cross when the light of the sun touched the mirror... He had to do something.
He figured that while these deadites couldn´t simply cross, with Twilight, Sunset and possibly him, was a different story. “Sprinkles?” Twilight turned to look at him. “How much self esteem you have to perform a suicidal mission?”
“Well, I...”
“Don´t answer me.” Twilight grunted. “These guys can only access two portals, the ones the sun can touch, not the other two.”
“Your point?”
“Can you enter the other two?” Asked Ash, making Twilight place her hand under his chin.
Just before the princess answered, Sunset asked.“Yes we can, why?” However, Ash simply smiled at her, making her realize his plan. “You really expect us to go on a suicidal run with that many demons?”
“Who said you were the ones to go up front?”
As soon as the words left Ash´s mouth, the two girls turned to look at each other, worried about this plan. They knew there was a back door that gave them a path to reach the statue from the other side.
Setting their gazes back on the chosen one, the two girls nodded, before turning around towards the back door.
On the way, Sunset turned around. “Ash, be careful.”
“When haven´t I been?”
Sunset grunted. “I just met you an hour ago.”
Ash chuckled. “And baby? It feels like I´ve known you all my life.”
The girl blushed, as she rolled her eyes, a thin smile appearing on her face. Soon enough, the moment was over, with Sunset going behind Twilight and towards the back door, leaving Ash to prepare himself.
Standing up, Ash readied his chainsaw, then grabbed his shotgun before getting close to the door.
“Time to give pain.” With a strong kick, Ash opened the door, then raised his shotgun to shoot at the mirror Adagio was pointing at.
BANG!
The siren wasted no time to look at him.
Me!”
Six month earlier
“Who is Dagan?”
Fire surrounds the field, consuming the green grass beneath its heat; I can hear the sounds of million feet a mile away, marching to their destination... an army of the dead, an army of darkness.
The skies turned red with the blood of the fallen, they are adorning the once beautiful gardens rounding the inmense white castle at the top of the mountain.
I look up and see its structure shadowing over millions of black blurs surrounding the place, waiting for its leader to hand her head to them.
“Hey!”
From the balcony, a figure steps out, her once wonderful flying hair, which is half burned now, is covering the silhouette´s face, succeeding in keeping her tears a secret from the evil.
The million army separates into two bands, giving way to a sole figure. He walks towards the front of the army, his right hand grabbing the sword laying at the side of his torso.
Suddenly, he stops midway and turns to look at me. What is he holding in his left hand? It looks... It looks like...
“Adagio!”
In a moment, the girl´s head twitched, as she was forced to go back to reality, taking a look at her surroundings. She was inside the small apartment the three sirens had acquired.
“What?” Adagio finally said, as her sight was placed on her friend.
Aria grunted. “I asked, who is Dagan?”
Adagio looked at her left hand, noticing the Necronomicon, which she held under the table and close to her backpack. Before the other siren could notice, she placed it back inside. The girl faced her friend, staying silent for a few seconds before being able to collect her thoughts.
“He...” Adagio began. “He is not important.”
Aria grunted. “You serious? You´ve been talking about him for whole week, I figured you had fallen for one of these trash bags called humans.”
Adagio frowned. “I would rather be kept inside a box for a century than coo-relate with these abominations!”
“Then who is Dagan?” Far from the response Aria was waiting, Adagio simply chose to stare at her, her mouth shut and giving her friend a silent ´not important´, which made Aria roll her eyes, before walking away. “Whatever.”
The siren went to her room, leaving Adagio at her desk. She looked around her, taking notice of her surroundings, the apartment the sirens had bought, which wasn´t too much, but it wasn´t too little either.
It was a three room home, spacious enough for the sirens to at least feel comfortable. Inside Adagio´s room, was a bed, with its sheets showing a yellow coloration. To her right, was an immense bookshelf, filled with magic-related books.
Adagio had figured that magic in the human world was nonexistent, but she still had hope she could find only one book that could give her a chance... Yet she found nothing.
Her gaze went from the normal size TV to the desk in front of her. A lamp illuminating her workspace from the darkness of the night. A few pencils and a notebook covered the table and the thing that was beneath. Then she remembered.
Adagio turned to look at her door, noticing that while Aria had gone out of her room, she had left the door open. The two of them were alone, with Sonata volunteering herself to go for something to eat. Adagio would be surprised, but knowing that Fridays were the days for ´Taco night´, it wasn´t so strange for her seeing the siren going on her own.
Standing up from her chair, the siren silently went to close her door, placing the lock on it, before returning to her seat. Adagio had thought she had no usable books, when in reality, she had the most special.
Quickly opening her backpack, the siren took out the skin covered item, its eyeless face staring at her while she placed it on the table.
Adagio stared at the book in silence for a few moments, before she began to reach with her hand. The siren felt the rough skin that covered the item, as she opened it to see its contents.
The place suddenly went cold again, as Adagio rushed trough the first pages until she reached the sixth one. The siren read in silence its words for a few seconds before releasing a deep sad sigh.
“I wonder how you felt.” She whispered. “How you managed to cope with you exile, with your loss.”
The siren turned the page, with the next showing a huge hand covering the two pages. “The world was yours, but he took it from you, just as the old fool took ours from us, yet...” The siren placed her hand over the book´s image. “Yet you fought again, you fought for your kind.”
Without the siren noticing, her room began to get darker, but not to the point of her seeing nothing. “Is... is my moment coming? For me to free us from this exile?”
“Adagio...”
In a moment, the white printed in the book, began to turn red with blood under the siren´s own hand. It wasn´t long before she felt something warm, making her take her hand off the book and look at what had happened.
Adagio gasped in surprise.
Present day
“Tear the chosen one apart!”
In a second, every deadite outside turned to look at Ash, who, even though maintained a straight face, was mentally cursing himself. ´Brilliant, next time make sure your brain does the work instead of your...´ He thought.
A sudden attack coming from a deadite, cut Ash´s thoughts, who stepped aside just as the kandarian demon jumped against him. As the deadite made it to the floor, Ash pointed his shotgun at the downed enemy´s head and shot.
Turning around, the man´s heart almost stopped, as he saw an army of crazed students launching themselves for the kill.
“Well, shit...”
Was all he managed to utter before he swung his chainsaw to cut a deadite in half, then raised his shotgun once more and shot another in the head.
Ash figured he wouldn´t last long outside, forcing him to take cover inside of the school. ´Hope those two manage to break that damned portal´ he thought, stopping midway to swing his chainsaw against a demon´s head, before giving a one hundred eighty degree spin once more to cut the other coming from behind in half. As the chainsaw made its way through the deadite´s torso, Ash raised his shotgun and shot an close by kandarian demon... Then everything went to shit.
The incoming swarm of demons forced their way into the door of the school, entering the enormous hallway as if they were some kind of twisted avalanche.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit!”
Outside the school, three figures watched as an army of deadites made it inside the place.
While Adagio witnessed the scene, the other two sirens could not help but to stare at their friend in silence. They saw her expression, the way her face changed upon seeing the man enter the scene, the way she reacted and it was getting on their nerves.
“Adagio?” Asked Sonata, getting the attention of the siren. “Do you know him?”
Adagio opened her mouth to respond, but words would not come from her mouth and instead came from Aria. “What kind of stupid question is that? Of course she knows this guy!” The siren turned to look at Adagio, an accusatory look on her face. “Don´t you, Adagio?” The siren turned to look at Aria, her expression showing amusement. “Why don´t you cut the act and tell us what exactly is happening?”
“I already told both of you, We´re going to use this demons to...”
“That´s enough Adagio, stop it with the stupid answers!” Aria relied. “Tell us what is happening! How do you know this guy? Why didn´t you tell us you had the Necronomicon?”
Adagio stared at her for a few moments, frown still in place as she contemplated whether to answer or not, however, Aria kept talking.
“Who is Dagan? Why are these demons following him?” Adagio lowered her head in response. “Oh come on, Adagio! We´ve bee together in this for too long, I thought we were a team! Don´t we deserve some kind of recognition? Or we simply were your crap eating bodyguards!?”
Sonata frowned. “Hey, I´m not a crap eating bodyguard!”
“Shut it, Sonata!” Answered Aria, her eyes never leaving Adagio, who found herself looking back at her friend.
A few seconds passed before she gave a deep sigh. “Very well, I...”
CRASH!
Just before the siren could even answer, a sound came from behind the statue, getting the attention of the three sirens who turned their gazes towards the source of the sound and spotting two well known girls.
“Twilight, Sunset!” Roared Adagio, her eyes starting to glow red, as she began to levitate.
An unnatural power started to come out of her, surprising both the sirens and the two girls, who could only watch silently.
Ash had provided them with a secure path to avoid the sirens from going to Equestria and they took it without failure. The mirror was broken, as well as the sanity of the siren that was now looking at them.
“Twilight?” Called Sunset, who noticed the night getting darker.
“Yes?”
Adagio´s face started to deteriorate, her teeth sharpening as the seconds passed and scaring both the girls and the sirens. “ROAAAAR!”
“Run!” Answered Sunset, before running away from the raging siren.
The two figures sped up across the school´s garden, with Adagio flying behind them, alongside the other two running sirens.
“How is it that she can use that kind of magic?” Asked Sonata.
Aria grunted in response. “Is that damned book that´s handling her powers, but the fool hasn´t realized its influence is changing her!”
“And what do we do?” Asked Sonata, trying to keep up with the enraged Adagio.
“We must make sure she doesn´t kill them!”
Sonata couldn´t help but to feel surprised. “Why?”
Aria grunted. “No Equestrians, no way for us to get back!” Normally, she wouldn´t worry about Adagio loosing her head, but something was very wrong with her and she knew it. “That book she´s been reading, it has done something to her.”
“What do you mean?” Asked Sonata.
“Something contacted her! And I bet my life it was this Dagan that screwed with her head!” Sonata didn´t respond and simply gave her a worried look. “We go with her, if we see she´s about to do anything stupid, we stop her, think you can do it?”
Just before the siren could even answer, a powerful blast caught their attention, who turned their gazes to find a fire crater on one side of the school.
The roaring Adagio flew as fast as she could to catch the two fleeing girls. Her way to enter Equestria was destroyed and could no longer sustain her army, something she would not take lightly.
Letting out another roar, Adagio shot a fire ball, this time succeeding in hitting both girls and sending them to the floor. Quickly rushing towards their way, the siren got hold of Twilight´s neck and lifted her from the ground.
“I knew you would bring me problems.” Twilight tried to struggle against the unnatural strength of the siren. “Do you have any idea what you have done?”
Suddenly, Sunset found herself tackling Adagio, although much to her surprise, the siren did not even flinch and instead grabbed her with her other hand.
“And you, waste of space!” The siren hissed. “I know it was you who brought him to this world!” Sunset began to feel her throat being squeezed each second that passed, yet she could do nothing to free herself.
“Adagio!”
A distant voice called the siren, but she did not answer to it, as her eyes were solely on the unicorn that had brought the chosen one.
On her part, Twilight noticed to color leaving Sunset, who did her best to fight for her life. In a moment of desperation, the princess began to kick Adagio´s face, trying to divert her from killing her friend.
The siren took notice of the blows a little too late and felt the impact full force, however, even if she stopped crushing Sunset´s throat, the siren wasted no time to focus on the princess.
After letting Sunset fall to the floor, Adagio used her strength to send Twilight against a wall, leaving a mark on it, the she approached the downed girl.
“Adagio stop!”
Both alicorn and siren heard the call, yet did not bother to pay them any mind. Blood was about to paint the floor.
The hallways of the school seemed to get smaller by the second, as Ash rushed through them, occasionally shooting a deadite before continuing his march. He had to loose them, otherwise there would not be a king to stop the Necronomicon.
It wasn´t long before he noticed the playground right ahead, from where he could go around and look for both Twilight and Sunset. In a moment, Ash turned to look behind him, noticing the, although smaller, still imposing horde going behind him. He had an idea.
Through all of his years and across the places he had visited, Ash had learned a few magic spells, even some coming from the Necronomicon itself and this was a very great place to test them, even though they were a bit risky inside a tight space. He had to make it to the playground.
Just before he could continue with his plan, a force threw him to the floor. Ash got up quickly to see a rather disturbing light blue female with her lower jaw hanging.
“A ´ant ´I ´oggie.” The deadite tried to say, regardless of her inability.
A rather amused Ash looked at her. “Here, let me help you.”
BANG!
A well placed shotgun blast ended the demon for good, allowing him a free pass. Ash got on his feet and took a look at the destroyed demon´s face. “Geez! Now, you truly are ugly!”
Sensing the pressure, the man continued his run, soon making it to the playground´s doors. Ash brought his shoulder to the front and opened them with force, letting him step into the open space.
“That looks like a good spot.” He said to no one on particular, as his sight was placed at the middle of what looked like a football yard.
Not wasting any more of his limited time, Ash placed himself at there to start the spell, however, another demon made it to his way.
“You little bastard!” He roared in anger, trying to take off a small yellow skinned girl with red hair.
The small demon laughed maniacally, as she tried to stab Ash with a pair of scissors. Ash felt pain on his shoulder, as a metal object found its way inside, forcing him to react and get hold of the imp, before pinning her to the ground.
“Hey, do you want to know who is adorable?” Ash asked, placing his shotgun over her head and taking a well placed shot. “Not you.”
Just before he could even give a breath of relief and contrary to the last deadite, another full grown and very strong demon gave him a knock out punch on his cheek.
Ash got on his feet quickly to see a tall man in a red open shirt and light orange hair. “You hurt mah´ sister! I was going to do that later!”
The chosen one grunted. “Oh god! A red neck!”
The deadite let out a mocking launch, as he launched a punch against Ash, who blocked it with his arm, before giving the kandarian demon one of his own, however, the deadite did not flinch.
On the corner of his eye, Ash noticed the incoming horde getting closer and decided to stop joking around and turn his chainsaw on.
In a moment, the man swung his weapon against the demon, who rather simply moved to the side to avoid it, then gave one step to the front and give Ash an uppercut, sending him to the floor.
The deadite wasted no time and grabbed the man with his two hands, raising him into the air, but just before the demon could do anything, Ash brought his chainsaw up front and cut the demon´s arm.
The chosen one landed on his two feet and used his shotgun to shoot the deadite´s foot. “Come on, red neck... Dance!”
In a roar of anger, the demon ignored the foot injury and grabbed Ash with his good arm, then pinned him to the floor. The chosen one noticed the horde coming closer to him and decided not to waste any more time.
The smiling deadite did not see it coming, as Ash grabbed him by the shirt and smiled.
“Aton Neran Ofas!”
In a second, a huge lightning made it to the ground, striking every deadite on the area and the demon on top of Ash, who used its body as a shield from the magic attack.
Soon enough, the attack had finished, leaving the chosen one under the now dead demon. Pushing its body to the side, Ash remained a few seconds on the ground to catch his breath, until something caught his attention.
Not too far away from him, a fire blast had exploded, making the man immediately know what was happening. “Damn, the bitch just got crazy!”
Sunset found her way to the floor, letting her catch the breath she almost lost because of Adagio. The girl grabbed her throat, still feeling the siren´s fingers wrapped around her neck.
In that moment, a lightning stroke against the earth, landing in the playground and catching Sunset´s attention. “What was that?”
Setting her attention away from the weird occurrence, Sunset turned to look at Twilight´s backpack just a few feet away from her, with Spike still inside. Not wasting a moment, the girl began to crawl towards the object.
It wasn´t long before she had the backpack on her hands and quickly opened it to reveal a still sleeping Spike. “Talking about a tough sleep.” Now that she knew he was alright, Sunset proceeded to search for the other important object.
A laud scream caught the girl off guard, as she saw Twilight flying over her, later landing against a nearby trashcan. Sunset had not time to waste.
With a smile on her face, she held the Necronomicon on her hands, until a shadow placed itself on top of her, wiping the grin on her face. Looking up, Sunset noticed Adagio, with the other two sirens.
Instincts taking her, Sunset got up quickly to leave with both the backpack and the book, sadly for her, Adagio would not simply let her go.
The siren gave one quick step up front and grabbed the girl´s arm, before taking the book from Sunset. Adagio looked at the Necronomicon for a few seconds, before an smile appeared on her face, as she turned her gaze towards the girl. “I will make sure you don´t make another mistake.”
A cold feel went through Sunset´s spine, as she saw Adagio raising her long clawed hand, alerting both her and the other two sirens. Adagio did not care and simply brought her claw against the girl´s face, until...
BANG!
Adagio´s hand was obliterated by a gun blast coming from the chosen one, who held a serious look on his face. The Necronomicon made it to the floor, but was soon grabbed by Sonata.
“Let the girl go.” Ash commanded, getting an angry look from Adagio, who found herself grabbing her wound. “I´ll give you five seconds, or I´ll be your judge, jury and executioner.”
She remained silent for a few moments, trying to make the words leave her mouth, but the pain of her newly acquired injury was too much to contain. Finally taking her decision, Adagio let go of Sunset, who crawled her way towards the knocked out Twilight.
Ash and Adagio looked at each other in complete silence, none of them making a single move, until the chosen one decided to speak.
“I don´t think your pretty... Hand, is made to hold that book,” he said, “how about you give it to someone who knows what to do with it?”
Adagio hissed. “And let you stop the army of darkness again? I will not let you stop me from freeing ourselves from this exile.”
“Girl, I don´t know who you think I am, but...”
“Oh, but I know who you are!” Adagio replied. “I know what you did, in fact, I know you better than anyone else.”
Ash gave her a confused look. “Who are you?”
Adagio smiled. “Someone who will make things right!” With that, the siren used her power to lift herself alongside the other two sirens towards the sky.
Ash tried to fire another shot against Adagio, but it simply seemed to have collided against an invisible barrier. Seeing how an attack was impossible, the chosen one decided to go aid Sunset and Twilight.
On the sky, a rather scared Sonata couldn´t help but to feel the height getting to her, as she noticed the entirety of the city beneath them. The siren turned to look at Aria, who held a worried look on her face. Suddenly, she felt the Necronomicon being stripped from her hands, and taken in front of Adagio, who seemed like she was ignoring her wound.
The book was suddenly opened, as the other pages which had been taken away, were now reattaching themselves to the Necronomicon.
Adagio controlled the book, setting it in the page she was looking for. “The army of the dead will not be stopped this time.” Suddenly, a cracking sound was heard beneath them, as the statue holding the remaining two portals levitated alongside the two sirens. “The chosen one will not stop my entrance to Equestria.”
Back to Ash, he used his hand to left Sunset from the floor, before carrying the unconscious Twilight on his arms.
It wasn´t long before the girl took notice of Adagio, the book and the statue, instantly reacting. “Ash, the book!”
The chosen one turned to look above him, noticing the smiling Adagio with the Necronomicon in front of her, however, he was not worried about the portal, but rather the look she had on her face.
“Oh, no.” He muttered, getting the attention of Sunset, who could see the worried expression on Ash´s face.
“Ash, what is...”
“Kanda... Es-trada... Montos...
“Run!” Screamed Ash, pushing Sunset to move.
“Ea-grets... Gat... Nos-feratos...
The duo wasted no time in getting inside of the school, which unable them to notice the massive cloud taking over an entire city, covering houses and skyscrapers alike.
The ground began the shake, alerting the city´s citizens who struggle to understand what was happening. The earth began to crack, leaving countless holes on the ground scattered across the place.
“Kanda... Amantos... Kanda...
A moment of silence endured, before the cracks on the ground began to glow red, a horrible roar coming out of them, as thousands of evil spirits found their way to the land of the living.
Chaos was soon to take hold of the city, with its people running around in panic from the incoming evil. Buildings fell, vehicle crashed, people either died or become possessed in this hell on earth.
Roars made it to the skies, not only in the form of spirits, but also from the numerous creatures that crawled out of hell. Flying monsters, earth beasts and many more would soon call this place home.
As she flew alongside the other two sirens, Adagio couldn´t help but to smile, her body turning towards Sonata and Aria, who noticed the unusual red eyes on their friend.
“Hope is not lost, we have the portals, the Necronomicon and a city full of demons to stop the chosen one should he follow us.”
“What are you planning to do, Adagio?” Asked Aria, a worried expression on her face.
Adagio´s grin went wider. “Conquer.” With that, she used her power to take themselves away from the place to a far away position, where the ritual to enter Equestria could continue.
Inside the school, both Ash and Sunset felt the earthquake assaulting them, as they did their best to remain on their feet. Soon, they entered a classroom, before closing the door behind them.
The room was in silence, with neither of the two making a sound. While Sunset took the opportunity to look outside the classroom, Ash made his way towards the desk, placing Twilight on top of it.
It wasn´t long before, Sunset grabbed the backpack, taking the still sleeping Spike in the process and placing him close to the desk.
“Ash?” She called, noticing the chosen one looking through the window.
“This is bad and not the ´woman on her days´ type, but rather the ´we are screwed´ one.” He said, not taking his eyes away from the enormous clouds covering the sky.
Sunset got closer. “What for you mean?”
“That crazy girl has the Necronomicon and the portals.” Ash turned to look at her. “I don´t think she was kind enough to wait for us to kick her ass.” The chosen one returned his gaze towards the window. “She must be far away by now.”
“Then we have to go after her!” Said Sunset, grabbing Ash´s arm.
Taking his stare off the window, the chosen one turned to look at Sunset. ”And we will, only problem, there is a city of deadites between them and us.”
Sunset wide opened her eyes. “What do you mean?”
“Welcome to the city of the dead.”
