The Nightmare in Ponyville

It was a nice, sunny day in Ponyville. All of the ponies were on their normal routine, coming and going from who knows where. There was a sudden scream from down the road. There was another shout, coming from a frightened pony - "That... sounded like..." "APPLEJACK!"

"Oh my goodness gracious! I-" Applejack seemed very dazed and confused as she stared at the body of a resident of Ponyville lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Ponies where shocked. Some gasped, some fainted, and some puked. Another pony came to the scene and began to examine the body. She turned over the body, revealing a message carved into the pony's flank. THERE'S MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM it said.

More gasping, fainting, and puking took place as the horrifying message was revealed.

Pinkie Pie approached the scene. "Hey guys, what going-" She stopped, completely frozen from the sight. "Wha... what..." She turned in the other direction and ran, crying.

Rainbow Dash, on the other hoof, was not as frightened, but more... interested. She wondered why this would happen, and who would do such a thing.

Fluttershy came up to Dash. "Hey Dash. You wondering about who did this too?" she asked.

"Yeah. Such a horrible thing somepony could do... I think I need to find out who did it." Dash told her

"How are you going to do it?" Fluttershy asked her.

"I'm not sure. I think I'll need some help." She looked up at Fluttershy. "Will you help me, Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy smiled at her. "Um... sure, Dash. I'd love to help."

"Alright. Meet me at Sugarcube Corner, tomorrow morning. We'll figure this out." Dash said.

"Okay. I'll see you then" Fluttershy agreed.

Sweetie Belle woke up in a dark room, not able to see what was going on. She tried to move, but she realized that she was strapped down.

She heard a voice come from the darkness. "It's no use to struggle, you're only going to hurt yourself." it said.

"Who are you? Where am I?" Sweetie Belle shrieked.

"C'mon now, don't be like that." the voice said. "You're just making it harder on yourself." Sweetie Bell then felt a sharp pain in her arm, and fell unconscious.

Rainbow Dash had just arrived at Sugarcube Corner. Fluttershy was waiting for her.

"Hi Rainbow Dash. Are you ready?" Fluttershy said quietly.

"Yeah. So, how are we going to figure this out?" Dash asked.

"Well, I thought maybe we could just walk around and maybe try to figure out some clues or something." Fluttershy replied.

"Alright, sounds good." Dash said.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy went for a walk. They talked about who might have committed the murder, why, when, etc. They weren't very sure of any of this.

"Seems like it could have been a random murder. But then again, they said 'there's more where that came from', so it must have a cause, and whoever it is that did it, they're going to do it again." Dash explained.

"Um... Yeah. That sounds about right." Fluttershy responded. "But if they do it again, who would they kill?" She asked.

"That’s what we need to figure out, Fluttershy." Dash told her.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy continued walking, when a large panic began. There where a lot of ponies running toward the middle of town. They hurried along with the others to see what was going on.

There, lying in the center of town, was the dead, mutilated body of Sweetie Belle. It appeared that all of her internal organs had been removed, along with her ribcage. It had appeared that this had been done with blunt tools, and it wasn't pretty. There was shock among the entire town.

Who would do this? For what? These types of questions floated around the entire crowd.

The mayor showed up. "Alright everypony, calm down." She said. "Everypony go home, this will all be taken care of." She seemed like she really wanted everypony to leave.

Fluttershy had returned to Rainbow Dash's house with her. They sat and wondered. Why did the mayor want everypony to leave?

An hour or so later, a knock came on the door. It was Applejack. "Hey y'all! The Apple family was havin' a little get-together today, and we wanted to know if you guys wanted to go."

"Sure, sounds like fun!" said Dash.

"Um... Yeah, okay." said Fluttershy.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy arrived at the Sweet Apple orchard with Applejack. They entered the small house, greeted by Granny Smith, Big Macintosh, Apple Bloom, and even Winona. They sat down at the table, and they had a large meal consisting of many different home-cooked foods.

"Who's ready for dessert?" asked Applejack.

"Dessert? Awesome!" Rainbow Dash replied.

"Um... I'd like some too..." Fluttershy said.

"Eeyup, think I'd like some as well." Big Macintosh added.

"Don't forget 'bout me now!" said Granny Smith.

"Alright, comin' right up!" Applejack told them all.

Applejack brought out a large apple pie. The entire family, along with Dash and Fluttershy, devoured almost the entire pie.

"How is it?" Applejack asked them.

"Woo! Good stuff!" Dash told her.

"Well, there's more where that came from." Apple Bloom said.

Rainbow Dash looked up at Apple Bloom. She had a smirk on her face, and quickly turned her head to avoid being noticed. This greatly aroused Dash's suspicions.

"Hey Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, I have something I'd like to show you." Apple Bloom said.

"Um...okay." Fluttershy replied.

"Sure thing." Dash said in a suspicious tone.

They headed out to the barn. Apple Bloom opened up the cellar doors, and they proceeded down the steps.
The barn cellar was pitch black, nopony could see anything.

"One sec, let me find the light switch." Apple Bloom told them.

In a moment’s notice, the light flickered on. Dash and Fluttershy gasped as they saw the remains of Sweetie Belle scattered into a corner. They realized Apple Bloom was gone, but before anypony could look for her, Rainbow Dash felt a sharp pain in the back of her head, and everything went black again.

Dash awoke with a painful ache in the back of her head, and realized that she was strapped to the cellar wall. She looked to her right, and she saw Fluttershy tied up as well, whimpering. "Don't worry Fluttershy, I have a plan. We're gonna get out of here."

Fluttershy looked at her, and replied "Okay."

"Please turn your attention to the front of the room!" Apple Bloom's voice boomed throughout the cellar.

They saw Scootaloo tied onto a table. She was unconscious.

"Wakey, wakey!" Apple Bloom screamed.

Scootaloo woke, moving about frantically, but gave up after realizing she was tied up.

"Let the show begin." Apple Bloom announced.

Dash turned to Fluttershy. "Fluttershy! Close your eyes!" she yelled. Fluttershy did as she was told.

"Aww, you're gonna miss the show. Oh well, suit yourself." Apple Bloom said.

Apple Bloom began by pulling out a small knife, and cutting a line from Scootaloo's collarbone down to her waist. She then cut from shoulder to shoulder, and then hip to hip. She opened the newly created flaps to reveal Scootaloo's vital organs. Apple Bloom dug her hoof into the organs, pulling them out one by one, and placing them into a tray, starting with the intestines, the stomach, then the kidneys.

When she got to the pancreas, there was a loud noise from the door.

"Hello? Apple Bloom? Rainbow? Fluttershy? Y'all down here?" It was Applejack.

She walked into the cellar, everypony stopping and staring at her, except for Fluttershy, still trying not to look.

"Hi there, sis..." Apple Bloom said.

"Howdy Apple Bloom. Whatcha doin' there...?" Applejack said.

"Nothin. How 'bout you?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Nothin here." Applejack said. She looked at Rainbow Dash, who was looking straight at her. They both nodded, and Applejack charged at her little sister with full force. Apple Bloom tried to hit Applejack with the knife, but it was knocked out of her hoof before she got the chance to use it. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash managed to pull herself from the braces, and then freed Fluttershy.

"Fluttershy, go hide over there, okay?" She pointed at a nearby corner, leading into a hallway.

"Okay." Fluttershy said, quickly advancing to the spot.

Dash picked up a large wooden pole, and quickly joined Applejack. She wacked Apple Bloom across the face with it, causing her nose to burst out with blood and knocking out several teeth. Apple Bloom tried to fight back, but the duo was too strong. She fled into a back room, locking the door behind her. There was a short silence, followed by a large bang. The steel door flew off its hinges, and Apple Bloom walked out with a chainsaw in hoof. She charged Dash and Applejack, quickly scrambling for anything they can use against her. Applejack found a steel pole, and quickly braced herself with it as her little sister swung the chainsaw at her. Sparks flew everywhere, the light so intense it was almost blinding. Dash charged from the side, knocking Apple Bloom into the wall, and falling onto an open toolbox full of nails. She dodged the toolbox, and grabbed it, hurling it at Dash. There was a large bang, followed by the chatter of the nails hitting the floor. Dash picked up a sledgehammer and swung it at Apple Bloom, barely missing her head. The hammer was so heavy that it flew out of her hoof and across the room. Then, there was a faint noise, and everyone stopped, looking over at Fluttershy, who was now standing in the middle of the room, wielding an axe. She turned to Apple Bloom.

"I've had about enough of you." she said.

Then, nopony expecting it, she charged at Apple Bloom, swinging the axe at her. Apple Bloom struggled to start up the chainsaw again, but it wouldn't start. She ducked as Fluttershy swung the large axe at her, barely missing and going into the steel wall. She pulled it out, ready to swing again. Apple Bloom grabbed a pipe laying on the ground, but Fluttershy quickly knocked it out of her hoof. She swung the axe again, Apple Bloom still ducking for cover. Dash charged, knocking Apple Bloom off her feet. Apple Bloom got up, trying to shake it off, when she heard a quiet voice.

"Hey, Apple Bloom?"

"Whaa.....Wh..."

Fluttershy then did what nopony would have ever expected. She swung the axe, aiming perfectly, and slicing off Apple Bloom's head, now resting on top of the axe embedded in the wall while the rest of her body slid to the ground.
With one final remark, Fluttershy took a deep breath and said,
"...There's more where that came from."
