6700 years after their deaths, the exploits of Twilight Sparkle and her friends have long passed into legend. Additionally, the winged unicorns known as alicorns have left the land and become myths to many. The country of Equestria has been lost to time, but it wasn't the first country to grace the world of Sanctuary. Those that remain could become the last however, as demonic forces have arisen and are wreaking havoc upon the races of the world. Twenty years ago, a group of heroes rose up and fought the hordes, but their efforts were only partially successful, and the heroes were lost.

Now, Aurora Lulamoon, a magically talented unicorn filly from the past, arrives in the present to fulfil her destiny and purge Sanctuary of evil. Alone in a world changed by time and war, she will need the help of new heroes who will emerge from the conflict. But how will they succeed where others have failed?
