The time is the Great Age of Pirates. Thousands of pirates all across the world of Equestria cast themselves out to sea after the final words of the dread pirate, Gold Reiner.

"So, you want my treasure? You can have it! I left it all in that place."

Now the pirate Pinkie Pie, who is now a Balloon Pony thanks to her balloon Cutie Mark, seeks to claim the treasure Hundred Bits, and become the Pirate King!

In this tale, Pinkie Pie has begun to gather the crew for her journey to the Galloping Line. Her only crewmate is the Wingpony Rainbow Dash, a Pegasus who specializes in the art of using her wings as weapons. Together they travel to Whirlpool Island, where they meet a teenage dragon named Spike. Desiring a navigator, Pinkie Pie asks him to join her crew! Unfortunately, it won't be so easy when his father gets involved.
