A Glimmer from the Past

Starlight Glimmer is the only filly without a Cutie Mark and an outcast in her class. One day she came out of the libary and there were two unicorns blocking her path. "Well,well if it isn't our favourite blank flank !", the yellow filly with the blue mane said.

" Jet Set and Upper Crust! Leave me alone !", Starlight shouted.

"We just want to see what you are reading.", the grey colt with the darker grey mane said.

"No I won't give you my books!"
"First of all", Upper Crust said, "those are not YOUR books! And second nopony says us what to do!" Then she took the books from Starlight with her horn.

"Hey! Give them back!"

"Interesting books you have." Upper Crust said, ignoring Starlight.

"Hey", Starlight complained, "didn't you hear me?"

"Did you say something?" Upper Crust asked. Starlight felt anger. Who do they think they are?, she thought.

"I said give them back!"
"Okay,okay. No need to get angry. That was just a joke! Here you have the stupid books back!" she threw the books at her and went away. Starlight sighed. Things like that happened to her every day. Just because she hadn't earned her cutie mark yet. Why are these marks so important? She couldn't answer it. She took her books and went to her house and started reading them. But she just couldn't hold back her tears. She began to cry. Why are these ponies such bullies? Why can't they leave me alone?
