ButtonBelle

It has been a week since Button passed out at SugarCube Corner. He had gotten a disease from the cave and was resting after getting antibiotics for it. He wasn't able to go to school or do anything but stay in bed. The only times he had fun was when the CMC came over and when he was able to play his Joyboy. Luckily for Button today was the day he could go back to school if he truly wanted to.

"Mom where's my saddlebag?" Button asked, as he got out of bed.

"It's in the kitchen, but I really don't think you should be going to school yet." Lovetap said, as she served a plate of eggs and toast.

"I'll be fine I was cleared, wasn't I." Button said, with a grin on his face.

"Fine just eat your breakfast  than I'll take you to school." Lovetap said, as she whiped the sweat off of her brow.

"You don't have to take me, Sweetie Belle said she would walk with me to school." Button said, as he started to eat.

"Really?" Lovetap asked, as she raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, but she seemed nervous about it." Button said, as he bit into his toast.

"Really, is that so?" Lovetap asked, as she raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah" Button said, as he started to eat his eggs.

"I think she might be planning to ask you out." Lovetap said with a chuckle.

"What?!" Button said, as he almost choked.

"I'm just messing with you." Lovetap said, as she gave her son a juice box.

"Ok, thanks for the juice." Button said, as he drank his juice.

"Your welcome." Lovetap said, as she served her own plate.

"I'm going to go and get cleaned up, then I'm heading to school, ok Mom." Button said, as he heard a knock on the door.

"Well I'd hurry it seems Sweetie Belle is already here." Lovetap said, as she rushed her son upstairs.

"Hello, Button are you home?" Sweetie asked, from the other side of the door.

"He'll be outside in a second." Lovetap said, as she grabbed Button's plate and put it in the sink.

"Oh ok, can I come in?" Sweetie asked nervously.

"Yes, come in." Lovetap said, as she opened the door.

"So, where's Button?" Sweetie asked, as she walked inside.

"He's just getting cleaned up, so how has school been?" Lovetap asked.

"Its horrible! The only good thing is that there is a dance tommarow and I was going to ask Button to it." Sweetie Belle said, as she saw Button come down the stairs.

"Ask me to what?" Button asked, as he tilted his head in confusion.

"W-Well I w-was wo-wondering if you would g-go t-to the dance with m-me" Sweetie Belle asked, as she felt like there was an apple in her throat.

"Wow, I can't say I didn't expect this, but I can't give you an answer right now." Button said, as he walked over to his saddlebag bags.

"Well ok." Sweetie said, as her ears dropped a tiny bit.

"Well let's just get going." Button said, as he walked up to Sweetie Belle and smiled.

"Ok you lovebirds time to go." Lovetap said, as she playfully shoved Button next to Sweetie Belle.

"Seriously Mom, let's just go Sweetie Belle." Button said, as he dragged Sweetie Belle out the door.

"Button I can walk by myself." Sweetie said, as she removed her hoof from Button's grasp.

"Ok race you there." Button said, as he started to run towards the school.

"Oh your on!" Sweetie Belle said, as she bolted but couldn't catch up with Button.

"Bet you can't catch woahhhh!" Button said, as he ran into Applebloom.

"Oh hi Button, you ok?" Applebloom asked, as she helped Button up.

"Yeah I'm fine." Button said, as he brushed the dirt off of him.

"Thats good, now ah was wondering if you were busy tommarow." Applebloom said, as she smiled at Button.

"No, why do you ask?" Button asked, as he felt his heart speed up.

"Ah wanted to know if you would like to the dance with me?" Applebloom asked, as her face turned red.

"You too, Sweetie Belle just asked me the same thing." Button said with a blank expression on his face.

"She did?!" Applebloom said in shock.

"Button slow down! Please." Sweetie Belle screamed, out of breath as she saw Button talking to Applebloom.

"But you haven't said yes yet, right?" Applebloom said hopefully.

"No, and I'll give you the same answer I gave Sweetie Belle I don't know." Button said, as he looked into Applebloom's eyes.

"Well then when you decide just tell me, ok?" Applebloom said, as she gave Button a kiss on the cheeck making his face turn red.

"O-ok." Button said, as Applebloom walked away.

"What . . . was . . . that . . . about?" Sweetie Belle asked out of breath.

"No-nothing lets just get to school." Button said, as he started to walk without looking.

"Ok, but no more running." Sweetie Belle said.

"Fine lets just get going." Button said, as he walked straight into a door opening.

"Button are you ok?!" Sweetie Belle asked, as she walked over to Button.

"Oh there you are. I've been looking for you." Scootaloo said, as she saw Button.

"Oh, hi Scootaloo." Button said, as he steadied himself.

"So Button there's a dance comming up I wanted to know if you would like to go with me?" Scootaloo asked, as she looked straight into Button's eyes.

"I don't know, I really didn't expect to be asked by all of you." Button said, as he backed up.

"Wait who else asked you out?" Sweetie Belle asked, as she gave Button some space.

"I think you know." Button said, as backed away a bit.

"Let me geuss Applebloom and Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo said, with an annoyed expression on her face.

"Wait that was what I saw?" Sweetie asked, as she looked at Button.

"Well you all asked me to the dance, and I can't decide so, uh . . . see you at school" Button said, as ran away from Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.

"Well this sucks." Scootaloo said, as she looked at the ground.

"Yeah, no kidding." Sweetie Belle said, as her ears drooped.

"Do you think we put to much pressure on him?" Scootaloo asked.

"Yes, but question is will he even go now." Sweetie said.

"Why do you say that?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well knowing him, he doesn't want to hurt us so he might just not go at all." Sweetie Belle said, as she thought about what might happen if he just didn't go.

"Well I could always ask Rumble." Scootaloo said.

"Wait!? You like Rumble!" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Well yeah plus he's like a cooler version of Button." Scootaloo said, as her face turned a light shade of pink.

"Well then why did you ask Button?" Sweetie asked, as she looked at Scootaloo with a confused expression.

"It might be the fact that Silver Spoon already asked him." Scootaloo said, as she stared at the sky.

"Well I geuss we're all stuck. Well lets just get to school." Sweetie said, as she started to walk towards school.

"Finally, made it." Button said, as he breathed heavily.

"Hey Button how are you?" Rumble asked, as he walked over to Button.

"Good except I got asked to the dance by Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle." Button said, as he started to slow his breathing.

"Bro how is that bad?" Rumble asked, as he chuckled.

"They're all my friends, and I don't want to hurt any of them." Button said, as he started to tear up.

"Button what do you think is worse knowing that the person you like is unavailable, or not knowing who he will pick or if he will ever pick just because he doesn't want to hurt his friends." Rumble said, as he nudged Button.

"Ok ok, I get the point." Button said, as he dried his eyes and saw the CMC walking towards him.

"Good luck Button." Rumble said, as he walked inside the school building.

"Hey wait up." Button said, as he ran into the school house.

"Bro, are you seriously avoiding them." Rumble said, as he nudged Button.

"Well yeah, I need some time to think." Button said, as he sat in his desk and slammed his head on the desk.

"Bro, don't beat yourself up over it." Rumble said, as he sat down in the desk next to Button.

"Easy for you to say." Button said in a mocking tone.

"Well just get it over with then." Rumble said, as he put his head on his desk and tried to fall asleep.

"Fine I'll decide before school ends." Button said, as he kept his head on the desk.

"Good, now let me sleep." Rumble said, as he turned his head away from Button.

"Yeah a nap sounds pretty good right about now." Button said, as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Button slept through the entire class. Ponies tried to wake him up but nopony could, so they left him be. Button dremt of how his life would be with each of the CMC. He dreamed of his life with Sweetie Belle being a normal life with a kid and a peaceful environment, something that Button wasn't used to. He dreamed that he had an exciting life with Scootaloo never staying in one place, something he didn't want. Then he dreamed about a life with Applebloom. He dreamed of a life on the farm where he  made new contraptions to help the farm. He had one kid and helped Applebloom deal with the stress of being a mother. They had a perfect balance of work and play. This was what he wanted.

"Is he still asleep?" Sweetie asked, as she poked Button.

"Yup, but he seems to be waking up." Applebloom said.

"I hope he's decided." Scootaloo said.

"Huh, where am I?" Button asked, as she woke up and yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Your still at school and have you decided." Sweetie Belle asked, as she stared at Button.

"Yeah, is everypony here?" Button asked.

"Yeah, so who did you pick." They all said with hope and dread.

"Applebloom, if you'll take me, I would like to take you to the dance." Button said, as he gave Applebloom a kiss on the cheeck.

"Yes, Button, yes!" Applebloom screamed, as she gave Button a kiss on the muzzle and held him tightly.
