"MOM WHY DO WE HAVE TO LEAVE!" Button whined loudly. "I told you already your dad's job is making us move to Ponyville." Lovetap said as calmly as possible after telling her stubborn colt for the 10th time. "BUT WHYYY!" Button said trying to convince his Mom to stay as the train pulled into the station. "Why look train is here let's get on, ok?" Lovetap said about to punish her colt. "Fine." Button said noticing the twitch she was getting. "Here you can play your Joyboy if you keep quiet." said Lovetap trying to get her colt to calm down. "Ok." said Button grabbing the Joyboy. "Finally he calmed down, why didn't i think of this sooner." Lovetap thought as she entered the train. After they entered the train Lovetap fell asleep and Button played his Joyboy until he grew tired and fell asleep. It was a few hours until they were going to be at Ponyville so when Lovetap woke up she grabbed the Joyboy her son was playing and started playing Megamare X. "Buck I can never defeat this boss." Lovetap said angerly to herself as she saved and turned off the Joyboy. "5 minutes to Ponyville, 5 minutes." said the conductor over the speaker. "I guess I should wake up Button." Lovetap said as she gently rubbed her son with her hoof until he woke up. "Five more minutes." Button said half asleep. "Your right Button five more minutes until were at Ponyville so wake up." Lovetap said as she started putting away the Joyboy for her son. "Fine." Button said as he got up and yawned. “Are you hungry Button?” said Lovetap as she exited the train. “Yes, can we get a milkshake or something.” said Button as he herd his stomach growl. “Well how-bout I give you some bits and you get a milkshake while I go find Cheat Code and your father.” Lovetap said as she reached in her saddle bag for her bag of bits. “Sure, but how will I find you afterwards? Button said with a confused expression on his face. “As long as you stay in one place I’ll find you.” Lovetap said with a chuckle. “Ok bye Mom.” said Button as we walked away “Bye Button.” Said Lovetap as she went to find her husband and son.                                                             ************************ “Well what are we going to do for a cutie mark now?” said Sweetie Belle covered in the remains over their last attempt hoping no one saw her. “I honestly don’t know maybe we should get a milkshake or something.” said Scootaloo “Ah second that,” Said Applebloom  still looking at her hooves in disgust, “But maybe we can get cleaned up first.” “Yes.” They all said in unison.                                                              ************************ “Wonder where I can get a good milkshake around here.” Said Button talking to himself. “OOF!” Button said as he landed on his flank. “OW that hurt!” said Sweetie Belle annoyed and close to tears. “I’m so so so sorry here let me help you up.” Said Button as he helped the filly up. “Thanks, so what’s your name.”Sweetie Belle asked as she rubbed her flank. “Oh, I’m Button, so what’s your name?” Button asked brushing so dirt off his flank and mane. “Oh, I’m SweetieBell, hey you don’t have your cutie mark!” Sweetie Belle said excitingly. “Why do you care if I’m a blank flank so are you!” yelled Button as the thought made him lash out. Sweetie Belle nearly at tears from being called a blank flank by a total stranger “I just wanted to know if you wanted to join this group called the Cutie Mark Crusaders but we don’t need jerks joining.” Sweetie Belle said  as she started to run away from Button crying. “Wait” Button said as he caught up to Sweetie Belle before she got too far. “I’m sorry what you said just brought up some bad memories,  I’m sorry I made you cry I’d love to here about the Cutie Mark Crusaders how bout over a milkshake.” “Sure I was going to get one anyway.” Sweetie Belle said as she blushed. “Well are we going or not.” Button said as he grabbed Sweetie Belle’s hoof and starting dragging her to where he thought was the place his mom was talking about. “I’m going, and your going the wrong way.” Sweetie Belle said holding back a giggle. “Oh, thanks.” Button said as he turned around and headed to SugarCube Corner. "So are you new here?" Sweetie said as she had trouble keeping up with Button. "Oh yeah, we just got here today." Button said as he stopped moving. "Ow, again with me falling on my flank!" Sweetie Belle said as she rubbed her flank from the pain. "I'm so sorry, again, I geuss I don't know my own strength." Button said as he helped Sweetie Belle up and she fell into Button having her muzzle touch Button's. Quickly pulling away from Button, Sweetie Belle said, "I'm so sorry I slipped and ...."she stopped as Button put his hoof on her muzzle turning her face bright red. "I completely understand you slipped now stop making a big mess of this and lets just get some milkshakes." Button said as he removed his hoof from Sweetie Belle's muzzle. "Ok, just please slow down." Sweetie Belle said as she entered SugarCube Corner. "Hey wait up." Button said as he rushed into SugarCube Corner. "So what type of milkshake do you want." Button asked. "I'll have a vanilla milkshake." Sweetie said still blushing from what happened before. "Really you don't want chocolate or something?" asked Button. "Why what's wrong with vanilla?" Sweetie said confused. "Nothing" said Button "It's just so bland I prefer a strong taste." "Well ok, I can't argue with that so lets just order." "Um, excuse me sir can we have one chocolate milkshake  and one vanilla milkshake please." Button asked the man behind the counter. "Sure that will be eight bits." Carot Cake said as he started making the milkshakes. "Here you go nine bits keep the change." Button said as he placed down the bits. "Why thank you . . . what's your name." Carot Cake said puzzled. "My name is Button, thanks for asking." Button said as he grabbed his milkshake and SweetieBell grabbed hers using her magic. "Ok thanks Button have a nice day." Carot Cake said as he went to the back to get more ingredients. "So where should we sit." asked Button while looking at the restaurant. "How bout that booth." Sweetie said as she walked over to it. "Ok." Button said as he followed Sweetie Belle. Once they sat down Button yelled, "Milkshake race 1 2 3 GO!" As he  cugged his milkshake unawear of the reprocutions. "Button No!" Sweetie exclamed as she saw Button fall to the floor in pain, "Why would you do that?" "Never . . . did it . . . before." Button said still in pain as he got back up looking at his empty milkshake. "Well it was funny." Sweetie said with a chuckle. "Well, well at least I won." Button said as motioned to his cup. "Well enjoy your victory Sir Brain Freeze." Sweetie said as she laughed. "Fine then, enjoy your shake I have to go find my Mom." Button said as he walked tourd the door. "Not including you no, but i plan to make some at school." Button said noticing a pink filly with a purple mane and a silver filly with a white mane. "Cool then what school are . . ." Sweetie started to say as Diamond Tiara came up to them and said "Hey Silver look its Squeaky Wheel!" Diamond Tiara said sneering at SweetieBell. "Oh and look she's with her blank flank colt-friend." Silver Spoon said looking straight at Button. Button said angerly as he stepped closer to the fillies, "Who are you calling blank flanks." Diamond, not noticing the black aura that was forming around him, said "You and you stupid mare-friend, obviously." Seeing SweetieBell crying, Button snaped running up to the fillies grabbing their manes and said "LEAVE US ALONE!" as he pushed them on the ground going towards SweetieBell. Without saying a word both of the fillies ran away as fast as they could. Button still next to SweetieBell asked "Are you ok, I'm sorry if I scared you I just hate being picked on and hate it even more when other ponies are getting picked on." SweetieBell backed away from Button with tears still in her eyes afraid of the fact that he might lash out again. "SweetieBell please don't hate me please I was just trying to protect you." Button pleaded as he walked closer and tripped on a rock falling onto SweetieBell. SweetieBell pushed Button off of her as she dtopped crying. Button backed away from SweetieBell and said, " I hear my Mom calling I have to go bye." As he rushed off to where he heard his Mom.                                                                                 ********************** "Hey SweetieBell what in tarnation did ah just see." Asked Applebloom as she walked over to SweetieBell. "You saw that?" asked SweetieBell nervously. "Yeah ah understand how it all happened but why didn't you thank him or anything I mean he did protect you and everything." Applebloom said before Sweetie could get a word in. "One I was in shock and two I wasn't thinking straight." SweetieBell said as she got up and started walking home. "Hey Applebloom can we keep this to ourselves I don't want Scootaloo finding out or I will never hear the end of it." "My lips are sealed." Applebloom said. "So how did you meet him?" Button asked while he hugged his Mom. "Oh it's a liight walk from that boutique that a mare named Rarity and her sister SweetieBell live in." Lovetap said as she pointed to the house. "Oh really . . . that's cool." Button said as he thought about what happened a few minutes ago. "So Button what do you want for dinner I invited Rarity and SweetieBell over as well as sort of a moving in party?" Lovetap said as she saw Button faint, all this excitement was really doing a number on the colt. "Great now what happened, I guess I'll just make french toast." Lovetap said as she grabbed Button and put him on her back.                                                                 ************************* "Rarity I'm home what's for dinner." SweetieBell said as she entered the boutique. "I don't know darling we were invited by Lovetap to come over to their house for a moving in party." Rarity said as she styled her mane. "Really, wait who's Lovetap?" Sweetie said fearing she knew the answer. "She's a wonderful mare who moved to Ponyville today with her two sons and her husband." said Rarity as she started to put makeup on. "Does one of her colts happen to be named Button?" Sweetie asked hoping she said no. "Why yes I believe that was her son's name and I heard that he did have quite a temper and was a very dedicated gamer I think you would like him." Rarity said as she pushed SweetieBell out the door, "Now let's go so were not late." "But, but, but . . ." SweetieBell said as she was pushed out of the boutique. "No buts now lets get going."Rarity said as she grabbed SweetieBell and forced her to follow her, "So it seems like you know this colt but how?" "Well I met him when we finished Crusading and I cleanef up. Then I saw him we talked then we got a milkshake, and fter that we got bullied by Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, but Button scared them off then he left and now this is happening." SweetieBell said skipping over the part where he fell on her and when she fell and 'kissed' him. "So do you like him." Rarity said as she playfully shoved her sister. "No! Unless you mean as a friend because he does seem nice." Sweetie said as she thought about how button protected her. "Yeah sure." Rarity said as she rolled her eyes. The rest of the walk  was silent except for the occasional "hello" from a pony until they reached Button's house. "Um, hello is this the right house?" Rarity said as she knocked on the door. "Oh hi you must be Rarity and SweetieBell come in come in." Said a brown stalion with a black and red  mane. "Thank you and whats your name?"Rarity said as SweetieBell  walked in and she followed. "Oh I'm Rage Quit and my wife's name is Lovetap and my two sons names are Cheat Code and Button Mash." He said as he closed the door and said "Boys come down here our guests are here." "Im comming." said Cheat Code, a light brown Stalion with a white mane, as he walked down the stairs, "Don't bother calling button he's in his gaming mode we probably won't see him until he smells Mom's food." "So this is your son I was expecting someone younger exactly how old is he?" Rarity said as she stared at Cheat Code. "He is 22 if im not mistaken." Rage Quit said with a smile. "How is that possible im only 20 yet he looks younger  then me?" Rarity said as he thought about how old she actually looked. "Oh so you must be Rarity a plesure meeting you." Cheat Code said as he winked at Rarity making her blush slightly. "Um excuse me Mr. Rage Quit can I go see Button?" SweetieBell asked while trying not to sound anxious. "Sure but don't be mad if he ignores you he doesn't really pay attention anything but beating the bosses and trying not to die." Rage Quit said as he started to grab a Joyboy from the counter, "I have no idea where he gets it from." "Sure you don’t." SweetieBell said chuckling as she went up the stairs.                                                                           ******************************* "GAH, WHY CANT I BEAT THIS BOSS!" Button screemed as he respawned. "I know if i keep a fire power up i can burn Bowser alive but then i have to deal with his giant form and thats better with a helicopter but the helicopter doesn't work that well when im trying to wave peach, what to do what to do." (Bonus points if you can name the game) "Hi Button."Sweetie said as she entered his room. "Ok now I know what to do I'll use a mini mushroom to get a jump boost but I'll have to be carefull I don't get hit." "Hello Button you there?" Sweetie said as she walked over to him. "Oh hi." Button said not paying attention to who he was talking. "So can I play with you?" Sweetie asked looking at the game. "Sure grab a controller just don't try to troll me." Button said half-heartedly having all his focus on the game. "So what do I do now?" Sweetie asked as she connected her controller and was put in the game. "Wow you haven't played in a while have you fine I'll explain it again, press two to jump then you press one to use power ups and hold one to run then you just use the arrows to move now lets beat this boss." Button said as he entered the stage. "Ok, follow me." "Um why are we fighting the final boss already?" Sweetie said nervously. "What do you mean I have been trying to beat this level for days Cheat Code." Button said still not paying attention to who he was talking to. "I'm not Cheat Code!" Sweetie yelled at Button. "Huh . . . Oh hi SweetieBell whe did you get here." Button said just as he relized who he ws talking to. "I've been here for a while now, wow your family wasn't kidding when they said you zone out when you play those games." Sweetie said as she grabbed Button's controller with here magic. "There we go know lets go eat." Button just grabbed another controller and started playing again saying "Sure, I'll get to that after I beat this boss." As he went back to playing. "Fine then I'll help you out." Sweetie said as she started to play. They tried and tried and tried but they couldn't beat Bowser until Button went crazy and said "You will die today!" As he stated rapidly tapping the buttons and getting through the level without taking a hit. A Few moments later he screamed "I beat him!" "Good, now can we eat, I'm starving." Sweetie said as she went down the stairs. "Sure lets go."  Button said as he ran down the stairs leaving his Joyboy on. "Button you left your, and he's gone, I might as well turn it off for him." Sweetie said as she walked closer to the device. "Megamare X I wonder what this is.?" Button asked as he ran to the table. "We are having french toast, hey wait where's SweetieBell?" Lovetap said as she scanned the room. "I don't know, she said she was comming down I wonder what taking her so long." Button said as he started to walk up the stairs. "Just tell her dinner is ready and we won't start without her." Lovetap said as she started to plate the food. "Ok I will, Oophf." Button said sa he ran up the stairs into SweetieBell and fell down the stairs. "Sorry, Button are you ok!" Sweetie exclamed as she rushed down the stairs to where Button was on the floor. "I'm ok." Button said as he got up before his forehoof buckled in pain, "No I'm not!" Button said as he fell to the floor. "Button!" Everyone said as he fell to the floor as Lovetap rushed over. "I'm ok just need some help walking." Button said as he leaned on the wall to keep from putting much pressure on his forehoof. "I'll help you I'm the one who made you fall." SweetieBell said as she grabbed Button and put his forehoof on her back. "Well this is embarrassing." Button said as he walked closer to SweetieBell for support. "How so?" Sweetie rudely asked. "I can keep you from getting bullied yet I can't take a fall down the stairs." Button said remembering what happened before. "Life is ironic huh." Sweetie said with a giggle, "lets just eat." The rest of the night was ineventfull with everyone eating chatting about what happened and then leaving. "Bye Button." Sweetie said as she walked out the door. "Plus, I am going to meet up with Sweetie Belle so I can meet her friends." Button said with a smile. "Well, OK. However, if anything happens to you, I will personally take care of it." Sweetie asked as she looked at how heavily Button was relying on them. "I don't know. I really don't care when I get my Cutie Mark." Button said, making everyone stop moving. "HOW DO YOU NOT CARE? "Plus, what happens if your talent is something you don't want to do? You can still do whatever you want, so I'm going to be a video game designer, no matter what my Cutie Mark is." The CMC were in shock and Sweetie stared at Button,wanting to back away, but not wanting him to fall either. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle started to tear up, as Scootaloo said "I never thought about it that way." She said as she started to think about it as she walked over to Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. As Button saw his friends tearing up, he said, "Hey, I could be wrong. Maybe you get exactly what you want as your Cutie Mark." Button said, as he started to worry. "Um . . . shouldn't we get going or we're going to be late." Button said, as he started walking and took his arm out of the sling and tried to use it. "Button,what are you doing?" The CMC all said together. "If I can use my hoof, you guys can get over the pain from not having  your Cutie Marks." Button said, as he started walking and tearing up from the pain. They all just stared at Button, as he walked on his broken fore-hoof and didn't stop. "Button, stop!" Scootaloo said as she started walking towards Button. "Stop it! Put your hoof back in the sling and let us help you!" Button didn't hear a word, because he had tuned them out and was determined to get to school without their help. Ithad been his plan all along so they wouldn't think he was weak. As Button started to run, he started to feel his arm go numb - but he didn't stop until he got to school. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle started following Scootaloo, as she chased after Button. "Yes . . . I . . . made . . . it." Button said, as he fell on his face and just lay there, trying to ignore the pain. "Button, are you ok?" Ms. Cheerilee asked as she saw Button on the floor. "Oh yeah. I'm just tired." Button lied as he stayed on the floor. "Well, you are still early. As long as you come in on time, you can stay there." Ms. Cheerilee said with a smile. "Thanks." Button said as he started to sleep. After a while, Button was awaken to the sensation of an ear to his side. "Oh Celestia, please tell me he's alive." Scootaloo said as she pressed her ear to Button's side. "Thank Celestia, he's alive!" Scootaloo said, as she removed her ear from his side. "Scootaloo, is that you?" Button asked as he barely heard who was talking. "Oh Button, you're awake. I brought Twilight so she could heal your fore-hoof." Scootaloo said as she poked Twilight. "Ok,let me see it Button." Twilight said, as she grabbed Button hoof and he immediately pulled it back. "It seems bad - but nothing some magic can't fix." Twilight said as she used her magic to heal Button. "Button, are you feeling better?" "Yeah, I feel great!" Button exclaimed, as he ran in a circle. "Well, try not to break it again, because that spell is hard to do, ok?" Twilight said with a smile. "Ok, thanks." Button said, as he gave Twilight a hug. "Aww, that's so cute!" Scootaloo said as she watched. "Button,you're healed! How is that possible?" Applebloom and Sweetie Belle said in unison. "Oh, Twilight healed me. Thanks again for that." Button said as he walked to his friends. "No problem. Now I got to go because Princess Cadence needs help in the Crystal Empire." Twilight said with a chuckle. Durring the entire class, Button was trying to find a way out of the deal he made, while the Cutie Mark Crusaders were wondering what Button was going to make them do. Button said, as he walked into the cave. "Wait up!" Screamed all the CMC as they caught up to Button. "Be carful the roof is weak so don't make to much of a racket." Button said, as he poked a wall. "Thanks that's nice to know." Scootaloo said, as she turned on a flashlight and aimed it at the celing. "Um, Button that ain't a bad roof." Applebloom said in terror as she looked at the ceiling and saw a herd of bats. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." Sweetie shrieked as the bats flew out of the cave. "Sweetie Belle  stop screaming the celing is still weak." Button said, but it was too late the celing fell and Applebloom and Sweetie Belle got stuck underneath as the exit caved in. "Help!" Applebloom and Sweetie Belle said as they laid there in pain. "I got Applebloom you get Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo said as she rushed to her friends. After they got all the rock off of them Button relized one of them had broken Sweetie Belle's leg and Applebloom's side was bleeding. "I looks like were stuck here. I'm glad I brought supplies." Button said to himself, trying not to think of his friends being hurt. "Button are we trapped here." Sweetie Belle said weakly as she limped toward Button and Scootaloo. "Yes but I can get us out, eventually." Button said as he started to look around for a way out. "Do yah have anything for a fire? Its really cold in ere." Applebloom said, as she walked over to Button who was grabbing supllies from his bag. "Buck! None of this happened if I didn't take you here, oh and Applebloom here's a blanket." Button said as he started to take out his supplies. "Hey Button are we going to die here." Sweetie asked as she layed on the ground from the pain of her crushed hoof. "Not if I can help it." Button said as he grabbed a towel from his bag and a small bottle of water, "Applebloom come here so I can clean the blood of of your side." "Ok" Applebloom said, as she removed her blanket and showed Button her side. "Applebloom lay down you have a bad gnash and I don't want you fainting." Button said, as he saw Sweetie Belle next to Scootaloo crying, "I will find a way out, I have to." After Button cleaned Applebloom's gnash he went over to Sweetie Belle to see her hoof. "Button its hurts so much." Sweetie said, as she layed on the ground. "I don't know what to, it's broken from the inside i can't do anything except help you move and give support I'm sorry." Button said, as a tear fell from his face. "Button don't give up you know more about this than we do we won't survive if you give up." Scootaloo said with tears in her eyes. "Just help Sweetie Belle over to where Applebloom is I'm going to look to see if there is anything flammable in this cave to make a small fire." Button said, as he started to look around the cave. "Ok." Scootaloo said, as she helped SweetieBell get over to where Applebloom was. "Buck! There is nothing here we can burn, wait yes there is." Button said, as he emptied his backpack. "Button what are you doing?" Scootaloo asked, as she watched Button empty his backpack. "I'm going to burn it so we can have a fire and so we don't freeze to death." Button said, as he grabbed the lighter he packed. "That would be nice, hey wait why did you pack all this stuff." Scootaloo asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "Oh I just took all my brother's camping suplies from the last time he took me camping." Button said, as he smiled and scratched the back of his mane. "Wow, and I thought you planed for everything." Scootaloo said, as she grabbed a blanket that fell out of the bag and put it on Sweetie Belle. "I wouldn't have brought it if I didn't expect the worst." Button said, as he turned his backpack into a fire. "Wait, why would you expect the worst?" Scootaloo said as she started to layed down to sleep. "I'm just vey cautious this isn't my first time stuck in a cave, but it is first time where people got injured." Button said, as another tear fell from his face. "Ok, well I'm going to sleep wake me up if something happens." Scootaloo said, as she yawned. "Ok, I'm sorry I caused this." Button said, as a stream of tears fell from his face. "It's not your fault." Scootaloo said, as she walked over to Button. "It is my fault! I brought us in here! I provoked the bats! I didn't push them out of the way! It's all my fault, and now were going to die here." Button screemed, as he cried, layed down on the floor, and just stared into the fire until a hoof came upon his shoulder. "Who cares, your the one keeping us alive and that's all that matters." Scootaloo said as she kissed button on the cheeck and smiled at him. "Thanks." Button said, as he hugged Scootaloo, "Now go to sleep you need your energy." "Ok." Scootaloo said as she layed down and put her head on Button's back. "Please Celestia protect us." Button said as he fell asleep staring into the fire. Button awoke to the sensation of Scootaloo's head being taken off his back. "Scootaloo is everything ok?" Button asked groggily. "Yeah I just thought of something." Scootaloo said, as she looked at her injured friends. "Well now that I'm up I'm going to see how Sweetie Belle and Applebloom are doing." Button said, as he started to get up. "Hey Button do you think we can get out of here." Scootaloo said nervously. "Yeah I have an idea but I need them awake, and most importantly alive." Button said, as he walked up to Sweetie Belle and put an ear to her chest, "Scootaloo she's barely breathing!" Button screamed, as he grabbed Sweetie Belle and put her near the fire just in case it was because of the cold. "Huh, what about somepony not breathing." Applebloom said groggily. "Scootaloo help what do I do!" Button said as he put his ear to her chest again. "She is barely breathing." "Button calm down she just needs muzzle to muzzle. Anyone know how?" Applebloom asked. "No, do you Button." Scootaloo said nervously. "Yes, no, it was in a game so i can try." Button said as he went closer to Sweetie Belle. "I need one of you to pinch her nose while breath into her mouth." "I'll do it." Scootaloo said, as she walked over to SweetieBell. "Ok now pinch her nose." Button said, as Scootaloo did what she was told and Button did muzzle to muzzle and heard. "Button is that you?" Sweetie asked with a cough. "Oh thank Celestia your alive!" Button said, as he hugged Sweetie Belle and wouldn't let go. "Thanks and all but can you let go of me." Sweetie said, as she tried to back away from Button. "Sorry, but I know how we can get out of here." Button said as he let go of Sweetie Belle. "I realized that the smoke was going towards the entrance so that means that there is a hole we can move rocks from." "Ok I'm going to go and move some rocks and see if we can get out." Scootaloo said, as she went and started to move some rocks. "Wait for me." Button said, as he ran and helped Scootaloo. After about 30 minutes of moving rocks they finally saw the light. "Scootaloo go get Sweetie Belle and Applebloom they have to get out first then you'll go out while I hold up the celing." Button said, as he went on his back hooves and held up the roof in case it started to fall. "Ok, but try not to be the hero." Scootaloo said as she went and grabbed Sweetie Belle and Applebloom. "What time is it." Sweetie asked, confused by whats happening. "Doesn't matter let's go." Scootaloo said, as she dragged Sweetie Belle to the opening with Applebloom following close behind. "Hurry and get through! The celing is going to fall again!" Button screamed. "Ok Sweetie Belle get out then Applebloom." Scootaloo said, as she helped Sweetie Belle out of the cave outside because it was at a huge slope out of the cave. After Applebloom at Sweetie Belle made it out the celing started to fall and Button said, "You go." As he let go of the celing pushed Scootaloo out and fell back into the cave as the entrance collapsed again. "So where's Button?" Sweetie Belle asked as she saw Scootaloo get out of the cave. Scootaloo said nothing, and just looked at Sweetie Belle with a face that told all. "We have to tell Twilight or someone! We need to get him out!" Sweetie Belle exclamed, as she started to ru towrds Ponyville but fell on her bad hoof and fell on the ground. "We will get him after we get you two to the hospital." Scootaloo said, as a tear fell from her eye. "Ok, le-" Sweetie said when the cave rocks fell and there was a gap where Button was trying to get out. "Almost there, I hope there not that worried about me." Button said, not noticing his friends outside the cave. "There we goooooooo." Button said, as he tumbled out of the cave into his friends. "Button your ok!" Scootaloo said, as she helped Button up. "Not really, on the tumble down I got cut and now my flank is bleading, but other than that I'm fine." Button said with a smile on his face. "Can we go to hospital now?" Sweetie asked, as she started to lean on Scootaloo for support. "Yeah, lets go." Button said, as he gave his friends each a hug. After they went to the hospital they were treated and checked. Applebloom had her gnash disinfected and wrapped up. Sweetie Belle got a cast for her hoof and some crutches. Button got his flank disinfected and got it covered with some bandages. After they were all treated Button said, "Um guys we are so in trouble." "Why we get hurt all the time I remember when we tried to be beekeepers? That did not end well." Sweetie said. "Well then nevermind but the time, is just 10 minutes from when we left how is that possible!" Button said confused. "How should ah know but ah think there was something special about that cave." Applebloom said. "Yeah, probably." Scootaloo said, as she looked at Button and blushed. "Well then why don't we see if you guys can come over to my house to do something less life threatening." Button said with his smile. "Ok then lets go." Button asked, as he walked over to the door. "Sure, but I have to clear it with Rarity and get some stuff from my room."  Sweetie Belle said, as she started to walk to her house. "Yeah me too." Applebloom and Scootaloo said, "But if we can we will come over." "Ok cool, but if I were you I would go see Twilight and see if she can heal you." Button said, looking straight at Sweetie Belle. "Nah, it's fine." Sweetie Belle said as she levetated her crutches away from her hooves, "I can walk on my hoof its just so I don't injure it again." "Why did you take them then?" Scootaloo asked, as she scratched her mane. "Because it still hurt, but I don't need them to walk unless I get a sharp pain." Sweetie said as she walked over to Button and smiled at him. "Um . . . I think I should be there when you guys ask." Button said, as he blushed and backed into Applebloom and made her fall on her side. "Ow!" Applebloom said, as she fell on her bad side and started to tear up. "Why am I so clumsy!" Button said, as he helped Applebloom up. "Thanks, but please be more ca-uggg." Applebloom said, as she got a sharp pain and fell on Button. "Carefull Applebloom!" Button said, as he supported Applebloom. "Ow it hurts!" Applebloom cried as she put her weight on Button. "It's ok, I have you." Button said, as he grabbed Applebloom's hoof and put it on the other side of him so she could put more of her weight on him. "Thanks." Applebloom said, as she put her head on Button's neck and cried from the pain. "Applebloom lets just get you to my house its closer to anyone else's house and I can call your Mom to see if you can stay." Button said, as he saw Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo trying to stop Button from bringing up Applebloom's Mom. Applebloom heard what Button said and cried even louder and it made her pain even worse. "What did I do?" Button asked, as he tried to comfort Applebloom by giving her a hug and started to hold her tightly. "Button don't mention her parents, they died when she was little and she is really sensitive to it." Scootaloo wispered to Button. "I am so sorry for your loss Applebloom, but you have to get past it, I know what its like to lose someone close to you." Button said, as he hugged Applebloom even tighter. Applebloom just cried onto Button holding onto him as tightly as she could, said nothing and just kept crying. "Why Button! Why did you tell her that!" Scootaloo said, as he punched Button in the side. "Ow, and because if she never gets through this if will affect her for the rest of her life." Button said as he held onto Applebloom. "Tha-tha-thank you Button." Applebloom said, as she kept holding onto Button but tried to stop crying. "Its ok, let it out." Button said still holding onto Applebloom. "I'm o-ok Button." Applebloom said, as she gave Button a kiss on the cheeck making Scootaloo's ears droop. "Thanks." Button surprised by what just happened just looked at Applebloom and just said, "So, do you still want to go to my house?" "Y-yes!" Applebloom said as she started to walk and stumbled from the pain from her side. "Carefull your side is still hurt just keep using me as support." Button said, as he just held onto Applebloom. "Ok." Applebloom said, as she put her head under Button's head. "I'll meet you after I go and get something from my house, bye." Scootaloo said with her ears drooped and her eyes almost in tears as she ran to her house. "So are we going to your house or what." Sweetie Belle asked as she walked over to her friends. "I'm going to take Applebloom to my house then I will meet up with you as long as you stay here." Button said, "Unless you just want me to call Rarity and you just come with us." "I'll come with you, I was just going to tell Rarity to make me a dress for the dance that is coming up." Sweetie Belle said, as she raced to Button's house, "Race you th-ahhh." Sweetie said, as she fell face first and cut her cheeck. "Sweetie Belle!" Applebloom and Button said as they rushed over to her. "Are you ok?!" Button said, as he helped Sweetie Belle up, "You have a cut!" "Can we go one day without getting hurt?" Applebloom said sarcastically. "If we keep doing crusades, no." Sweetie said as she put her hoof to her cheek and saw blood on it. "Sweetie wait one sec." Button said, as he helped Applebloom to a bench and went inside a shop. "Did he just call you 'Sweetie'?" Applebloom asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "He was probably in a rush, my name is Sweetie Belle." Sweetie Belle said, as she blushed a bit. "Do you like him!?" Applebloom asked surprised. "Kinda, and I think Scootaloo likes him too because when you kissed him her ears drooped." Sweetie said, still blushing. "Well that must suck knowing that he will never like you." Applebloom said, as she chuckled. "What do you mean?" Sweetie said, as her face started to go pale. "He obviously likes me." Applebloom said, as she fixed her mane. "Well it seems he just likes us as friends because every time one of us kissed him he just reacted strangely." Sweetie said. "Wait, wait ,wait when did Scootaloo kiss him?" Applebloom asked confused. "In the cave, which is why she ran away." Sweetie said, as she started to hear a voice. "Quiet he's comming." "Sweetie Belle, here let me clean your cut." Button said as he walked over to them after he exited the shop. "No you don't have to." Sweetie said. "No its fine I can do it, oh and by the way what were you guys talking about." Button said, as he chuckled. "Nothing!" Applebloom said worried. "Sure." Button said, as he cleaned Sweetie Belle's cut. "Ow, what are you doing?" Sweetie asked, as she backed away a bit. "I'm using a disinfectent that sting but also will clean it better than anything else." Button said, as he kept cleaning her cut. "Ow! Ow! OW!" Sweetie Belle screamed. "Oh don't be such a crybaby." Button said, as he nudged Sweetie Belle. "Well you aren't the one being attacked with it." Sweetie said, as she stepped away from Button. "Fine then if something happens its not my fault." Button said, as he stopped and just threw it away. "Let's just get to my house." "Ok lets g-ahhhh." Sweetie said, as her hoof flared up in pain and she fell on the ground. "Seriously, can we really not get to my house without this happening, ok Applebloom you stay on my right and Sweetie Belle you will stay on my left." Button said, as he thought "Will they ever get better or is this just normal." The rest of the way was uneventful until they met up with Scootaloo who had brought her scooter with a wagon attached with some pillows and blankets who was waiting at Button's house. "What took you guys so long?" Scootaloo asked, annoyed by how long she was waiting. "Sorry, it's harder to help two foals than it is to help one to walk." Button said, as he shook his head at Sweetie Belle and Applebloom. "Oh, ok." Scootaloo said. "Then I'll take Applebloom so we can get inside quicker." "Ok." Button said, as he helped Applebloom to Scootaloo. "Thanks that helps." Button said, as he steadied himself. "So can we go inside." Scootaloo asked, as she helped Applebloom stand. "Yeah lets go in."Button said, as he walked in with Sweetie Belle. "Oh Button you came just in time, oh and you brought Sweetie Belle." Lovetap said, as she saw Sweetie Belle walk in. "Yeah and I also brought my other friends over after they finished crusading. Can they sleepover please?" Button asked, as his eyes grew big. "I guess if they have permission. By the way what are their names?" Lovetap said, astonished her son had managed to make friends. "Thanks mom, oh and their names are Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle, hey whats for dinner?" Button asked, as Scootaloo and Applebloom walked in. "We're having spaghetti and hay balls." Lovetap said, as she plated some and placed it down. "Now go and eat." "Ok, you guys first you are my guests." Button said, as he stepped out of the way and made Sweetie Belle struggle to stay up as she tried to match Button's movements as Scootaloo walked to the table with Applebloom. "Thanks Button!" Applebloom and Scootaloo said in unison. "Button carful! I'm going to fall!" Sweetie Belle said, as she grabbed onto Button's side and hit his flank making him wince in pain. "Sorry." Button said, as he grabbed Sweetie Belle before she could fall. "So what did you foals do today I heard it had something to do with a cave." Lovetap said as she plated more food. "Oh, we just got stuck in a magical cave and barely got out with our lives." Button said, not realizing how bad it actually sounded. "What!" Lovetap screamed at Button. "What, we were just playing an arcade game." Button lied as, he looked nervously at his Mom. "Well then why are they hurt?" Lovetap asked, still not believing her son was telling her the truth. "They were doing something they call "crusading", they usually end up much worse." Button said, as he looked his mom in the eye. "Well then, as long as they promise not to get you killed I'm ok with it." Lovetap said, seeing how much Button was trying. "We promise." said the CMC. "Ok, now who's hungry." Lovetap said with a smile. After they all ate there fair share Rage Quit came from home and was tackled by Button.After he got up and saw Button's friends he said. "Wow son, I didn't expect you to have friends by now." Rage Quit said, as he nudged Button. "Well I'm trying." Button said, as his face started to feel hot. "I know you are son, so do you still think you can beat your old pop." Rage Quit said, as he grabbed a Joyboy from his coat. "Oh your on!" Button said, as he raced upstairs to grab his Joyboy. "Wow I never expected that." Sweetie Belle said, as she used her magic to put the dishes in the sink. "Well, we all do love video games." Lovetap said, as she turned on the water so the dishes could be cleaned. "So is he going to be playing all day or what?" Scootaloo asked. "No, Rage Quit is an expert at Pokemon, Button doesn't stand a chance." Lovetap said with a smile. "Oh well how long does it take for them to finish?" Scootaloo asked. "About 10 minutes, so would you guys like me to show you where you will be sleeping?" Lovetap asked, as she dried her hooves. "Sure." said the CMC. "Ok, follow me up stairs." Lovetap said, as she walked up stiars with the CMC behind her. "Ok Applebloom you will be in this room with Scootaloo." Lovetap said, as sue pointed to a room with two beds. "Sweetie Belle you will be in Button's room while Button sleeps in his Pikachu sleeping bag." "Ok thank you." said the CMC. "Your welcome, have fun, and don't forget to take a bath before you go to bed." Lovetap said, as she trotted down the stairs. "Aw come on! I was do close to winning!" Button screamed from his room. "Sorry son, try again tomorrow?" Rage Quit said with a smile. "Fine, but I will beat you!" Button said, as he put away his Joyboy and headed over to his neighstation. "Button are you in there?" Sweetie asked, as she opened the door. "Yes, I'm just setting up the neighstation." Button said, as he struggled with some wires. "Ok, we're comming in." Sweetie said, as she opened the door and walked onto his room. "So, what are we going to do?" Scootaloo asked, as she entered the room. "Were going to play Minecraft!" Button said, as he walked over to his stash of controllers. "What in tarnation is that?" Applebloom asked. "It's a multiplayer sandbox game." Button said, as he turned on his neighstation. "So were play in ah sandbox?" Applebloom asked confused. "No, it means we can do what we want with practicly no limits." Button said, as he loaded Minecraft. "Ok then just me how yo play." Applebloom said, as she slowly walked over to Button. "Nah, that would make it to easy your going to find out on your own." Button said with a smile. "Ok, lets play." Applebloom said. After they loaded up and got a hang for the controls they played for a bit and made a house and farm and had full leather armour. They were going to keep playing until Lovetap said. "Its time to stop playing and go to bed." "Ok just let me save the world." Button said, as he paused his game and clicked the save button. "Ok who's taking a bath first we have two?" Lovetap asked. "I'll go first." Button and Applebloom said at the same time. "Ok well that works go ahead and get the water running while I get some towels." Lovetap said, as she walked towards the closet. "See you in a bit." Button said, as he grabbed Applebloom and showed her to the bathroom. "So Scootaloo do you like Button." Sweetie Belle wispered into Scootaloo's ear. "Yes, maybe, I don't know." Scootaloo said. "Well then you have compitition." Sweetie said. "Let me geuss you and Applebloom like him to." Scootaloo said, with a  worried look on her face. "Yup." Sweetie said. "Well this isn't going to end well." Scootaloo said. "You got that right." Sweetie said with a grin. "So when did you start to like him?" Scootaloo asked. "After we met, he was like a prince." Sweetie said, as her face turned red to see Button there. "Ugg . . . It's your turn Sweetie Belle." Button said, with a look of confusion on his face. "Ok." Sweetie said as she ran out the door stumbling but not falling as she went to the bathroom to take a bath. "That was weird." Button said. "Yup." Scootaloo said. "So do you know where your going to sleep." Button asked, as he went to his closet. "Yeah we're sleeping in the room with two extra beds." Scootaloo said, as she watched Button. "Cool, woahhhh." Button said, as a giant pikachu fell from the closet and smushed him. "Need help?" Scootaloo asked giggling to herself. "No I got it." Button said, as he shoved the pikachu off him. "So, you seem to really like games." Scootaloo said, as she looked around the room. "Yeah I plan to make them when I grow up." Button said as he hopped into his Pikachu sleeping bag. "Well, if the way you play means anything your going to do great." Scootaloo said, as she looked at Button. "Thanks, *yawn* well im going to sleep." Button said, as he snuggled up into the sleeping bag and went to sleep. "Well good night." Scootaloo said, as she watched Button fall asleep. "Scootaloo your up." Applebloom said, as she walked into the room. "Oh ok." Scootaloo said, as she walked out of the room and to the bathroom. "DOES ANYONE HAVE A TOWEL?" Sweetie Belle screamed from the restroom. "I'm going to bring you one ok Sweetie Belle." Lovetap said, as she walked over towards the closet and grabbed a towel. "Ok." Sweetie Belle said. "Sweetie Belle open the door so I can give you the towel." Lovetap said, as she knocked on the door. "Ok." Sweetie said, as she opened the door just enough for the towel.  "Thanks." "Your welcome." Lovetap said, as she went to her room. "Well that was unexpected." Scootaloo said, as she turned on the water. "Um, Lovetap?" Applebloom asked. "Yes." Lovetap said, as she gave Applebloom a smile. "Um, this is kinda mah first time sleeping at another ponies house and I'm kinda nervous do you think I could sleep with Sweetie Belle and Button?" Applebloom asked, trying not to let her plan show through. "Sure, well how bout I just make you and Scootaloo some beds in Button's room then you guys won't have to be scared, or is ig you don't want Sweetie Belle to be alone with Button." Lovetap said, as she chuckled. "Wah how did you?" Applebloom asked, as she tried to understand how she would know. "One I heard Scootaloo's and Sweetie Belle's conversation, and two you have been staring at my son all day." Lovetap said, still giggling to herself. "Well this is embarrassing." Applebloom said, as her face turned bright red. "Its ok I understand." Lovetap said, as she hugged Applebloom. "You can sleep in Button's room if you must." "Really?" Applebloom asked. "Yeah, I get you don't trust your best friend." Lovetap said. "No that's not it, I trust her I just don't want to lose Button." Applebloom said, as she looked at the ground. "How can you lose something that's not yours!" Sweetie Belle screamed at Applebloom. "Well at least I have a chance! He obviously doesn't like you!" Applebloom screamed, as she immediately wanted to take it back. "Lovetap, can you please take me home?" Sweetie asked, as tears started to form in her eyes. "Do you really want to leave?" Lovetap said, as she walked over to Sweetie Belle. "Yes! I don't want to be wherever she is!" Sweetie said, as she pointed at Applebloom. "Well it's too late so if you want I can take you when you wake up, ok." Lovetap said, as she put a hoof around Sweetie Belle. "Ok." Sweetie Belle said, as she hugged Lovetap. "Ok, lets get to bed." Lovetap said. "Ok." Sweetie said, as she walked over to Button's room. "Sweetie Belle." Applebloom said, as she reached a hoof towards her. "Leave me alone!" Sweetie Belle screamed, as she slapped Applebloom hoof away. "What did I do?" Applebloom asked, as she started to tear up. After everyone weng to their rooms Applebloom decided to give Sweetie Belle sone space and slep in the spare room. Scootaloo decided to stay up and plan a way to get Button. Lovetap fell asleep after everyone was in there rooms. Sweetie Belle just stayed in Button's room and cried until she woke up Button. "Sweetie Belle is that you?" Button asked groggily. "Yes." Sweetie said, as she struggled to not break out in tears. "Are you ok?" Button asked, as he saw Sweetie Belle in the corner crying. Sweetie Belle said nothing and just stayed in the corner with her face in her hooves. "Sweetie Belle what happened while I wax asleep?" Button asked, as he walked towards Sweetie Belle. "No-nothing." Sweetie said, as she chocked on her tears. "Sweetie tell me what happened I already know you guys like me there isn't anything else for you to be embarrassed about." Button said, as he walked straight up to Sweetie Belle and lifted her head from her hooves. "You do?" Sweetie said, as she looked straight into Button's eyes with her eyes full of tears. Sweetie said, as she whiped her tears from her eyes. "I promise, I honestly don't care what it is. I just want you to be happy." Button said, as he hugged Sweetie Belle. "Applebloom said I have no chance with you and she doesn't trust me anymore." Sweetie Belle said, as she hugged Button back. "Trust me you have a chance." Button said, as he kissed Sweetie Belle on the muzzle. Sweetie Belle said nothing and just kissed Button back. "I liked you since the day we met, but I think i might like Applebloom and Scootaloo as well." Button said, as he backed away from Sweetie Belle. "Do you like me then?" Sweetie asked, as she held on to Button. "Yes, no, maybe I don't know I'm new to this usually I just go to school and play games, I've never really had friends or a mare-friend for that matter." Button said, as he just stared into Sweetie Belle's eyes and smiled. "Don't worry, no matter what happens I will always be your friend." Sweetie Belle said, as she gave Button a quick kiss on his muzzle, "And I hope we can be more." "Thanks." Button said, as he hugged Sweetie Belle closely. "Your welcome." Sweetie Belle, said as she hugged Button back. "Well it's getting late we should get to sleep." Button said, as he got up and helped Sweetie Belle up as well. Button said as he grabbed his blanket from his sleeping bag. "Ok, I won't make it wierd if you don't." Sweetie Belle said, as she hopped into bed. "Deal." The rest of the night was silent. Everypony was asleep. It stayed like that until Lovetap woke up in the morning to make breakfast. On her way downstairs she went to check on her son and she saw him sleeping wigh Sweetie Belle. "Aw that's so precious." Lovetap said, as she went to get her camera. "Sweetie Belle did you say something?" Button said, as he started to wake up. "No, but why are you awake." Sweetie Belle said, as she yawned. "I heard something, Sweetie Belle my mother is getting her camera!" Button said, as he jumped off the bed. "How do you know?" Sweetie asked, as she looked at Button. "Only my mom would wake up this early." Button said. "Oh ok ,well are you hungry?" Sweetie asked. "Yeah, do you want to go eat?" Button asked, as he grabbed his hat. "Sure lets go to SugarCube Corner." Sweetie said with a smile. "Ok we'll go after Applebloom and Scootaloo wake up." Button said, as he saw Sweetie Belle's smile dissappear. "Well, ok." Sweetie Belle said, as her ears drooped. "Well, if my mom lets me I think we can go now." Button said, as he rubbed the back of his mane. "Ok lets g-ahhhh." Sweetie Belle said, as she fell off the bed and landed on her bad hoof. "Sweetie Belle!" Button said, as he rushed over to her. "I can't get up." Sweetie Belle said, as she tried to get up but fell on her face. "It's ok I have you." Button said, as he grabbed her. "Thanks." Sweetie Belle said, as she used Button as a support. "What happened I heard someone yell?" Lovetap, Applebloom, and Scootaloo all said as they rushed to Button's room. "I tripped off the bed and fell on my bad hoof, but I should be fine." Sweetie said, as she smiled at her friends. "Do you want me to calll Rarity?" Lovetap asked with consern. "No, I'm ok." Sweetie Belle said, as she gave Button a peck on the cheeck, "I have Button." "Um . . . Mom what are we eating?" Button asked, as his face turned a shade of pink. "Well, I was thinking we go to SugarCube Corner." Lovetap said, as she raised an eyebrow at her son. "Ok, so that's two milkshakes, one chocolate and one vanilla, two french toasts, and one small vanilla cake right?" Carot Cake said, as he wrote it down on a slip of paper. "Yes, so how much do I owe you." Lovetap asked, as she started to reach for her bag of bits. "That would normally be eighteen bits, but today everything is half off so that will be nine bits." Carot Cake said, as he gave the note to the pink mare in the back. "Ok, here you go." Lovetap said, as she gave Carot Cake the bits. "Thank you we will bring your food out shortly." Carot Cake said, as he put the bits in the cash register. "So where are we going to sit?" Button asked, as he looked around the place. "How bout that booth over there?" Applebloom asked, as she pointed to the booth in the corner of the restaurant. "Ok you guys can sit overthere while I sit at the table nearby." Lovetap said, as she started to walk to the table. "Ok, lets go." Button said, as he trotted over to the booth as the bell on the door rang. "I wonder what this place is like?" said a gray Pegasus colt with black hair and a Joyboy under his wing. "Hey Button." Scootaloo said, as she sat down in the booth. "Yeah." Button said, as he sat down and had Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle right next to him. "Are you dating Sweetie Belle?" Scootaloo asked, hoping he would say no. Before Button could say anything Sweetie Belle said, "Yes, yes he is." as she gave Button a kiss on the muzzle. "Sweetie Belle I said I didn't know! Ok, so stop it!" Button said, enraged by the fact that Sweetie Belle was acting like she git to decide who he dated. "So is that a no?" Scootaloo asked. "No, I am not dating Sweetie Belle." Button said, as he looked into Sweetie Belle's eyes and saw her eyes start to tear up. "Don't start crying Sweetie Belle! I told you I hadn't decided and that I needed more time to think." "Fine!" Sweetie Belle said, as she got up from the booth and walked away. "Button that was harsh." Applebloom said, as she saw Sweetie Belle limp away. Applebloom and Scootaloo said, as theh each gave Button a peck on the cheek. "Well this just got ten times harder." Button said, as he slammed his head on the table. "Button is that you?" said the grey pegasus. "Wait I know that voice Rumble is that you?" Button asked, as he looked and saw his best friend from Manehatten. "Button its been a while." Rumble said, as he trotted over to where Button was sitting. "Yeah, but why are you here don't you still live in Manhattan?" Button asked confused. "Nope, my dad had to move to Ponyville after he got a promotion." Rumble said, as he smiled at his friend. "So how long have you been in Ponyville?" Button asked, as he stepped out of the booth. "We just got here today, and who might be these adorable fillies be." Rumble said, making Scootaloo and Applebloom blush. "Oh, she's Scootaloo, she's Applebloom, and the one that just stormed off is Sweetie Belle." Button said, as he pointed to his friends. "Sweetie Belle, I haven't herd that name in a while." Rumble said. "Really when did you meet her, because I only just met her when I got to Ponyville?" Button asked confused. "Oh I met her when her sister Rarity took her to Manehatten." Rumble said, as he looked at Sweetie Belle, " Is she dating anyone?" "Well not at the moment." Button said, as his heart started to pound harder. "Well I'm going to ask her out. I wonder is she remembers me?" Rumble said, as he walked over to Sweetie Belle. "Here you go two milkshakes, two french toasts, and one cake enjoy." Carot Cake said, as he placed the food down at the booth. "Sweetie Belle the food is here!" Button screamed. "Fine, I'm comming." Sweetie Belle said, as lightly as possible. "This looks delicious!" Applebloom said, as she dived right in. "Rumble are you hungry, I could buy you something?" Button asked. "No, its fine I brought my own money." Rumble said, as he started to walk to the counter. "Well time to eat." Button said, as he slowly started to drink his milkshake. "So who's the colt?" Sweetie Belle asked, as she looked at Rumble. "Oh that's just Rumble. He's an old friend from Manehatten." Button said. "Cool." Sweetie Belle said, as she started to drink her milkshake. After they had all finished Sweetie Belle was tired and fell asleep on Button. While Scootaloo and Applebloom left to go back home. "Mom, can I have some help?" Button asked, as he didn't want to wake up Sweetie Belle. "Button just leave her be, I will be back with your books so you can do your studies here without waking her." Lovetap said, as she smiled at her son. "Fine." Button said, as he looked down at Sweetie Belle and felt his heart speed up. "I'll be back soon just try not to get into trouble ok." Lovetap said, as she started to leave. "Ok mom." Button said, as Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked into SugarCube Corner. "Hey Dia, look there's that colt and Squeaky Belle." Silver Spoon said, as she pointed at Button. "Really, then lets mess with them." Diamond Tiara said with an evil grin on her face. "But what if he goes all psyco on us." Silver Spoon said nervously. "He won't because Squeaky Belle is sleeping." "Go away, or do you want to get beat up again." Button said, as he chuckled to himself. "You won't do anything to us because your mare-friend is asleep." Silver Spoon said, as she pointed at Sweetie Belle. "So what if she wakes up, she's not my mare-friend." Button said, as he lifted her head of of him and put it on the booth and walked straight up to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "Sure she isn't, then prove it throw this milkshake in her hair." Diamond Tiara said. "Now why would I do that, she might not be my mare-friend, but she still is my friend." Button said, as he motioned Rumble over. "Plus he's got me to back him up." Rumble said, as he surprised Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "Well then how bout we just mess with her and leave you two colts alone." Silver Spoon said. "How bout we just pretend this never happened, you guys stop bullying ,and actually try to be nice for once." Button said, as he stared down Diamond Tiara. "Or we could just mess with her." "Sure honestly you only seem to follow her." Button said, as he put his hoof around her, "I think you could actually be nice if you tried." "Thanks." Silver Spoon said, as she removed Button's hoof from her, "So how do you be nice?" "Honestly if you want to know just hang out with us, oh and sorry for the whole scare tactics it usually works and we don't have to do anything else." Rumble said, as he looked at Silver Spoon. "Well you showed her." Silver Spoon said looking back at Rumble. "Your cute." Rumble said, as he walked up to Silver Spoon. "Uh . . . Thanks." Silver Spoon said, as her face turned a light shade of pink. "Rumble stop your making her blush." Button said, as he went to check on Sweetie Belle. "So what are you guys going to do?" Silver Spoon asked. "Well I'm going to stay here until Sweetie Belle wakes up then I'm going home to finish my homework." Button said, as he looked at Sweetie Belle and smiled. "Are you sure you aren't dating?" Rumble asked. "Well I like her, but I also like Scootaloo and Applebloom." Button said, as he just looked  at Sweetie Belle. "Bro you obviously like her more than the others." Rumble said, as he nudged Button, "Plus if you don't take her someone else will." "But I kinda made her mad when I said we weren't colt-friend and mare-friend after she kissed me." Button said, as he just stared into space. Silver Spoon asked. "Because I also was kissed by Scootaloo and Applebloom and they all like me." Button said, as he slammed his head into the table waking up Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle said, as she closed her eyes and  started to fall asleep again. "Ok what sort of magic were you shot with that made you get so many girls?" Rumble asked. "Nothing I just tried to make friends, than we went cave exploring, almost died, spent the night at my house, and had a heart to heart." Button said. "Oh so that's all." Rumble said, as he raised and eyebrow. "Yeah I geuss when the go and gets tough I get girls." Button said, as he chuckled. "Well as long as your happy I don't care." Rumble said. "Hey Rumble, would you like to go and play bowling or something?" Silver Spoon asked, as her face turned pink. "Sure it's a nice way to spend the day." For the next 15 minutes Button worked on his math homework and finished it all, and then he waited for Sweetie Belle to wake up. After about 10 minutes after he finished his homework Sweetie Belle woke up. "Huh, is that you Button." Sweetie Belle asked as she opened her eyes. "Yup, now can we get you home." Button said, as he packed up his books. "Yeah sure lets go." Sweetie Belle said, as she yawned and pecked Button on the check. "Why, just why?" Button asked, as he got up from the booth only to get a pain in his side and stumble. "Are you ok?" Sweetie asked, as she saw Button stumble. "I'm fine just so-" Button said, as he fainted. "Button!" Sweetie Belle screamed, as he put and ear to Button's side, "Thank Celestia he's breathing, but what in the hay just happened." "Sweetie Belle what happened?" Carot Cake asked, as he walked over to Button. "He stumbled, then he just fainted." Sweetie Belle said, as she grabbed onto Button and wouldn't let go. "He's breathing so he probably just got some pain he couldn't take and fainted. He should be fine, but I would take him to the hospital if I was you." He had gotten a disease from the cave and was resting after getting antibiotics for it. He wasn't able to go to school or do anything but stay in bed. The only times he had fun was when the CMC came over and when he was able to play his Joyboy. Luckily for Button today was the day he could go back to school if he truly wanted to. "Mom where's my saddlebag?" Button asked, as he got out of bed. "It's in the kitchen, but I really don't think you should be going to school yet." Lovetap said, as she served a plate of eggs and toast. "I'll be fine I was cleared, wasn't I." Button said, with a grin on his face. "Fine just eat your breakfast  than I'll take you to school." Lovetap said, as she whiped the sweat off of her brow. "You don't have to take me, Sweetie Belle said she would walk with me to school." Button said, as he started to eat. "Really?" Lovetap asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, but she seemed nervous about it." Button said, as he bit into his toast. "Really, is that so?" Lovetap asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "Yeah" Button said, as he started to eat his eggs. "I think she might be planning to ask you out." Lovetap said with a chuckle. "What?!" Button said, as he almost choked. "I'm just messing with you." Lovetap said, as she gave her son a juice box. "Ok, thanks for the juice." Button said, as he drank his juice. "Your welcome." Lovetap said, as she served her own plate. "I'm going to go and get cleaned up, then I'm heading to school, ok Mom." Button said, as he heard a knock on the door. "Well I'd hurry it seems Sweetie Belle is already here." Lovetap said, as she rushed her son upstairs. "Hello, Button are you home?" Sweetie asked, from the other side of the door. "He'll be outside in a second." Lovetap said, as she grabbed Button's plate and put it in the sink. "Oh ok, can I come in?" Sweetie asked nervously. "Yes, come in." Lovetap said, as she opened the door. "So, where's Button?" Sweetie asked, as she walked inside. "He's just getting cleaned up, so how has school been?" Lovetap asked. "Its horrible! The only good thing is that there is a dance tommarow and I was going to ask Button to it." Sweetie Belle said, as she saw Button come down the stairs. "Ask me to what?" Button asked, as he tilted his head in confusion. "W-Well I w-was wo-wondering if you would g-go t-to the dance with m-me" Sweetie Belle asked, as she felt like there was an apple in her throat. "Wow, I can't say I didn't expect this, but I can't give you an answer right now." Button said, as he walked over to his saddlebag bags. "Well ok." Sweetie said, as her ears dropped a tiny bit. "Well let's just get going." Button said, as he walked up to Sweetie Belle and smiled. "Ok you lovebirds time to go." Lovetap said, as she playfully shoved Button next to Sweetie Belle. "Seriously Mom, let's just go Sweetie Belle." Button said, as he dragged Sweetie Belle out the door. "Button I can walk by myself." Sweetie said, as she removed her hoof from Button's grasp. "Ok race you there." Button said, as he started to run towards the school. "Oh your on!" Sweetie Belle said, as she bolted but couldn't catch up with Button. "Bet you can't catch woahhhh!" Button said, as he ran into Applebloom. "Oh hi Button, you ok?" Applebloom asked, as she helped Button up. "Yeah I'm fine." Button said, as he brushed the dirt off of him. "Thats good, now ah was wondering if you were busy tommarow." Applebloom said, as she smiled at Button. "No, why do you ask?" Button asked, as he felt his heart speed up. "Ah wanted to know if you would like to the dance with me?" Applebloom asked, as her face turned red. "You too, Sweetie Belle just asked me the same thing." Button said with a blank expression on his face. "She did?!" Applebloom said in shock. "Button slow down! Please." Sweetie Belle screamed, out of breath as she saw Button talking to Applebloom. "But you haven't said yes yet, right?" Applebloom said hopefully. "No, and I'll give you the same answer I gave Sweetie Belle I don't know." Button said, as he looked into Applebloom's eyes. "Well then when you decide just tell me, ok?" Applebloom said, as she gave Button a kiss on the cheeck making his face turn red. "O-ok." Button said, as Applebloom walked away. "What . . . was . . . that . . . about?" Sweetie Belle asked out of breath. "No-nothing lets just get to school." Button said, as he started to walk without looking. "Ok, but no more running." Sweetie Belle said. "Fine lets just get going." Button said, as he walked straight into a door opening. "Button are you ok?!" Sweetie Belle asked, as she walked over to Button. "Oh there you are. I've been looking for you." Scootaloo said, as she saw Button. "Oh, hi Scootaloo." Button said, as he steadied himself. "So Button there's a dance comming up I wanted to know if you would like to go with me?" Scootaloo asked, as she looked straight into Button's eyes. "I don't know, I really didn't expect to be asked by all of you." Button said, as he backed up. "Wait who else asked you out?" Sweetie Belle asked, as she gave Button some space. "I think you know." Button said, as backed away a bit. "Let me geuss Applebloom and Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo said, with an annoyed expression on her face. "Wait that was what I saw?" Sweetie asked, as she looked at Button. "Well you all asked me to the dance, and I can't decide so, uh . . . see you at school" Button said, as ran away from Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. "Well this sucks." Scootaloo said, as she looked at the ground. "Yeah, no kidding." Sweetie Belle said, as her ears drooped. "Do you think we put to much pressure on him?" Scootaloo asked. "Yes, but question is will he even go now." Sweetie said. "Why do you say that?" Scootaloo asked. "Well knowing him, he doesn't want to hurt us so he might just not go at all." Sweetie Belle said, as she thought about what might happen if he just didn't go. "Well I could always ask Rumble." Scootaloo said. "Wait!? You like Rumble!" Sweetie Belle asked. "Well yeah plus he's like a cooler version of Button." Scootaloo said, as her face turned a light shade of pink. "Well then why did you ask Button?" Sweetie asked, as she looked at Scootaloo with a confused expression. "It might be the fact that Silver Spoon already asked him." Scootaloo said, as she stared at the sky. "Well I geuss we're all stuck. Well lets just get to school." Button said, as he started to tear up. "Button what do you think is worse knowing that the person you like is unavailable, or not knowing who he will pick or if he will ever pick just because he doesn't want to hurt his friends." Rumble said, as he nudged Button. "Ok ok, I get the point." Button said, as he dried his eyes and saw the CMC walking towards him. "Good luck Button." Rumble said, as he walked inside the school building. "Hey wait up." Button said, as he ran into the school house. "Bro, are you seriously avoiding them." Rumble said, as he nudged Button. "Well yeah, I need some time to think." Button said, as he sat in his desk and slammed his head on the desk. "Bro, don't beat yourself up over it." Rumble said, as he sat down in the desk next to Button. "Easy for you to say." Button said in a mocking tone. "Well just get it over with then." Rumble said, as he put his head on his desk and tried to fall asleep. "Fine I'll decide before school ends." Button said, as he kept his head on the desk. "Good, now let me sleep." Rumble said, as he turned his head away from Button. "Yeah a nap sounds pretty good right about now." Ponies tried to wake him up but nopony could, so they left him be. Button dremt of how his life would be with each of the CMC. He dreamed of his life with Sweetie Belle being a normal life with a kid and a peaceful environment, something that Button wasn't used to. He dreamed that he had an exciting life with Scootaloo never staying in one place, something he didn't want. Then he dreamed about a life with Applebloom. He dreamed of a life on the farm where he  made new contraptions to help the farm. He had one kid and helped Applebloom deal with the stress of being a mother. They had a perfect balance of work and play. This was what he wanted. "Is he still asleep?" Sweetie asked, as she poked Button. "Yup, but he seems to be waking up." Applebloom said. "I hope he's decided." Scootaloo said. "Huh, where am I?" Button asked, as she woke up and yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Your still at school and have you decided." Sweetie Belle asked, as she stared at Button. "Yeah, is everypony here?" Button asked. "Yeah, so who did you pick." They all said with hope and dread. "Applebloom, if you'll take me, I would like to take you to the dance." Button said, as he gave Applebloom a kiss on the cheeck. "Yes, Button, yes!" Applebloom screamed, as she gave Button a kiss on the muzzle and held him tightly. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Dance //-------------------------------------------------------// The Dance It was the night of the dance everypony was getting ready. Places reserved, flowers bought, ties tied, and couples meeting. It was going to be a magical night. Magical for everypony except Sweetie Belle. "Are you sure you don't want to go? I made you a dress and everything." Rarity asked, as she peaked her head in her sisters room and saw her on her bed crying. "I'm sure!" Sweetie Belle screamed. Her horn illuminated the dark room as she used her magic to close the door. Luckily, Rarity noticed this and pulled her head back just before the door could hit her muzzle. "Why don't you want to go, Sweetie? You've been looking forward to this all week." Rarity asked as she waited outside the door. "I don't want to talk about it!" Sweetie Belle screamed. A new set of tears came flooding from her eyes down her face. "Ok, but if you need me I'll be right here," Rarity said as she sat down by the door.                                                                                         ******************* "So how do I look?" Button asked, walking down the stairs wearing a black tux and bow tie. "You look great! Sweetie Belle's going to love it," Lovetap said as she looked at her son. "Mom, I'm taking Applebloom," Button said as he grabbed a pouch of bits from the table. "Really, Button? I honestly thought you were going to take Sweetie Belle with you," Lovetap said, a puzzled look plastered on her face. "Well, I'm taking Applebloom. I have to go pick her up now actually. Bye mom," Button said as he walked out the door and headed to Sweet Apple Acres. "I hope Sweetie Belle isn't taking this too hard," Lovetap said, closing the door.                                                                                     *********************** "Rainbow Dash, do you know where Rumble lives?" Scootaloo asked as she carefully walked down the stairs. "Yeah, but why do you want to know, squirt?" Rainbow Dash asked as she pulled out a pouch of bits for Scootaloo. "Silver Spoon got sick and now Rumble doesn't have a date. I figured I could ask him," Scootaloo said as she walked over to Rainbow. "He lives next to SugarCube Corner, now go have some fun," Rainbow said. She grabbed Scootaloo and ruffled up her mane. “Ok, I'll be back by ten," Scootaloo said, fixing her mane. "See ya later, Scoots," Rainbow said as she watched Scootaloo walk out the door.                                                                                        ***************** "Um, hello. Is anypony home?" Button asked as he knocked on the door of the Apple family's house. "Yes, is that you Button?" Applebloom asked. "Yeah, you ready to go?" Button asked as his heart sped up. "Yeah, I'll be out in a sec," Applebloom said as she quickly checked her mane and went outside to meet Button. "Ok, lets go." "Wow you look amazing," Button said, his jaw agape. "Come on. We don't want to be late," Applebloom said. She gave him a peck on the cheek, which had started to turn a bright crimson. "Yeah, lets go," Button said as he regained his composure. ********** Scootaloo ran up to the DJ, named DJ PON-3, and requested a song for her and Rumble to dance to. "Sky Bound, please," Scootaloo said to PON-3. The unicorn looked at her with a smile on her face, then nodded. Scootaloo nearly jabbed her side with her elbow as she seemed like she was pulling an imaginary train whistle rope while mouthing "yes" to herself. She thanked the DJ and trotted off. She spotted Applebloom and Button on the other side of the gym sitting on the bleachers. They were just chatting. No dancing, no punch getting, just sitting there talking. The floor started to vibrate as a new song started to play through the stereo towers on the far side of the gym. An electronic dance song was playing, the bass creating an earthquake of pure sound throughout the school. At this point, most of the pegasi had launched themselves skyward, some even hitting their heads on either a light fixture or the ceiling. The unicorns had separated from their dates after having had a magical outburst from the sudden shaking of the ground, which caused them to teleport involuntarily. The earth ponies and Scootaloo, however, just stayed calm. For Button and Applebloom, it seemed like nothing had happened. Rumble managed to fly back down to Scootaloo. "Hey, come on! Fly with me!" he said. Scootaloo's eyes widened in shock. "What's wrong, Scoots?" Rumble asked her, landing beside her. "Didn't I tell you? I can't fly," Scootaloo said, facing Rumble. "Oh...I'm sorry. I guess we can just dance down here," he said. Scootaloo took one last look at Button and Applebloom and wondered, "Why am I not getting jealous of her?" She then took Rumble's hoof and walked off with him, the question echoing in her head all the while. ******** "So I was face to face to face to face with the chimera! I was terrified for my life, but when I thought I was done for, Applejack ran in and saved my life!" Applebloom said, waving her arms and hooves around as if to reenact the event. "That's awesome!" Button said, smiling. He looked off towards the large acrylic windows on the opposite side of the gym. He stared at the moon in the distance, then at the barely visible Carousel Boutique. His expression became blank as he got lost in thought. "Button, you alright?" Applebloom asked worriedly. At this, Button shook his head around, snapping himself back to reality. "Yea, Applebloom. I'm fine," Button said. "C'mon, something's wrong. What is it? You can tell me," Applebloom said, placing a hoof on his shoulder. "A lot has been on my mind lately, is all," Button said, trying to push the topic aside. "Button Mash, is this about your crush on all of us and having to choose?" Applebloom said, still pushing the subject. Button's eyes started to water as he pulled Applebloom closer to him. He then started to cry into her. He knew he was embarrassing himself, but what did it matter. He needed to vent and this apparently was how he was going to do it. "It's okay, Button. Let it out of your system," Applebloom said, stroking his mane and hugging him. She hoped that it would help him feel better, if only just a little bit. After a few minutes, his cries turning into soft sniffles, then to nothing but a whimper. When he finally stopped and let go of Applebloom, she asked him again, "Now what's wrong?" "It's just that I'm afraid that I hurt Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo by choosing to go with you. I don't want to hurt anypony by choosing one of you, but I know that not choosing anypony would also hurt you all!" Button said, putting his head in his hooves. "Well, if it makes you feel better, I think it's just down to me and Sweetie Belle," Applebloom said, a forced smile on her face. "Why do you say that?" "Just look at Scootaloo! She's out there smilin' and having a good time with Rumble. She ain't even got a hint of jealousy in her expression!" Applebloom said, starting to giggle at the chicken dance she had started doing. "I guess you're right Applebloom. She doesn't look a bit upset or jealous. In fact, she looks quite happy with Rumble," Button said. He started to chuckle when he saw that Rumble had joined Scootaloo in doing the chicken dance. "Look, Button. If you want, you can go see Sweetie Belle to check on her. I haven't seen her walk in and I doubt she's taking this too well," Applebloom said. *********** "Sweetie Belle, darling, I'm really starting to worry about you!" Rarity said. She hadn't left her spot at all, say for a few bathroom breaks. Sweetie Belle was still crying her eyes out inside her bedroom. "Why are you still out there!? Leave me alone Rarity!" Sweetie Belle yelled. "Don't you use that tone with me young filly!" Rarity scolded. "Just leave me be!" Sweetie screamed yet again. "That is it!" Rarity yelled back, using her magic to pick the door lock. It swung open and what Rarity saw next was downright terrible. Sweetie Belle's eyes were puffy and red, her face drenched in tears. Her mane was a wreck and her face was covered in strawberry ice cream. Rarity didn't dare ask where the ice cream came from. She saw that there were pillows thrown everywhere and the blankets had been flung off of the bed and onto the floor where dozens of ice cream buckets had made a subtle hint of a broken heart. Rarity had never seen such behavior from her little sister before. "Sweetie Belle, sweetie. Are you alright?" Rarity asked, nearly starting to cry herself from the idea that her usually happy and joyous little sister was now an emotional wreck. "N-no...I'm not alright," Sweetie Belle finally admitted. "Tell me what's going on, darling. I'm sure you'll feel better afterwards," Rarity said, taking a seat next to Sweetie Belle on the bed. "Well, it's just that Button Mash decided to go with Applebloom to the dance. I'm not sure how Scootaloo is taking this, but it must be pretty bad," Sweetie Belle said. "I'm sure he has his reasons Sweetie Belle. Surely he didn't mean to hurt you," Rarity said, pulling her sister into a hug. Sweetie hugged back and gently sobbed into her sister's shoulder.
