"Crap I'm late for work, I need to get up earlier." I'm running through the Boston commons with my friend Hope. "So what, if you're the tiniest bit late?" I nearly screamed. "So I don't want to be fired!" "YOU WORK AT A SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!!!" "Quiet down, anyway at the same time we cure some of the world's largest diseases." "It takes 3 LIVES to make a cure for 1 PERSON!!!" We walked in silence for a bit. "I plan on quitting....and finding a new job...i thought maybe I could help you when you join the army...." Hope looked at me. "Since when did you think you could handle the stress of war?!!" I pouted "I thought you would be more accepting of the idea..." Hope looked away, "I'm glad I have you to support me, but I don't think you know what you're getting into....wait i just thought something COMPLETELY unrelated...." I stared at her questioningly. "what?" you told me you wanted to give me something..." I looked through my briefcase. "Oh yea that.....Remember when i told you about cure 13...?" She stopped walking. "Yea...why is that accident important?" I walked over to her a slightly scared face on me. "It wasn't an accident." Hope just stared, "Ok then how are you going to prevent it?" "I can try. "It might make a great news story...When i give you boss Mac's plans run to the news station and don't look back." She looks at me as i hand it to her, she then reads it and goes pale. I look at her. "Oh by the way the CEO of the place where i work is named-" I hear a distant bang as a sharp pain entered my chest. I look down at where my chest is bleeding and i see a pool forming at my feet. I collapsed in said pool. the last thing I see before closing my eyes is Hope doing as I said and running for her life. From a distance I hear someone screaming "Lyra." What the f#ck? "LYRA WAKE UP!!!!" I open my eyes and see Bon Bon standing on me. "I'm awake..." She looks at me worriedly. "You were sobbing in your sleep is everything ok?" Well....NO, not at all but it's just a memory, it's not like I'll ever be able to go back. I still am trying to figure out how i got here. "Yes everything's fine." A great start to a new day....
