Toys, Food, Cheers, everything was in it. "Cool! A'h haven't these type of stuff since a'h was adopted two years ago. Maybe we should get a present for Skyla." he said. "Good idea." she agreed. George Cunningham avoided being spotted by crystal and normal ponies while switching spots. He seems to be watching Mavis and Nathan. "Hmm. If I also want to rid those two for a while, I must frame them the same exact way I got my double out of the picture. But I can't get them to be sent in the Maximum Security Detention Center. They'll know for sure I'm the fake Joshua and they'll know I kidnapped the real one." he planned. Suddenly, an idea popped into his head. "I found out that there's another detention center around Appleloosa. But to frame them, I must lure them in a trap." He looked at the Crystal Heart and smiled devilishly. As Nathan and Mavis settled for buying a present for Guard Armor, one of them noticed a trail of flowers in front of them. "Hmm. Must be Fluttershy." Nathan thought. They put the item back in the counter and followed the trail of flowers. When they reached the end point, they encountered the Crystal Heart, which had a handwritten note that said: "Grab me and get a special surprise!" "Hmm. This seems interesting." Nathan said as he grabbed the Crystal Heart from the pillar. A loud sound was heard, causing the sky to turn brown, and the crystal ponies became different. "There!" one shouted, pointing to Nathan and Mavis. "Those are the thieves of the Crystal Heart!" "What?!?" the bat-boy and girl cried. Suddenly, the guars came with pistols. Nathan and Mavis put their hands up as they got scared. "It's a misunderstanding! We're innocent! We were following a trail of flowers..." Nathan started. "Quiet, boy." one guard said while handcuffing Nathan and Mavis. The kids struggled in their restraints as they tried to get out, but they ended up getting tassered by another guard. They put Nathan and Mavis in a prison cart, and headed off. George Cunnignham laughed evilly as he tan colored his mole. "Yes! My phase worked completely! I got to get back to my 'family'." he said to himself, while running back to the Crystal Empire. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Meanwhile in the city of the Crystal Empire... Both Cadence and Shining Armor were looking around town for any sign of Nathan and Mavis. "This is hopeless. We will never find them anywhere." said Cadence. "Yeah, we might as well give up now and--" said Shining until he was cut off by a voice. "You two looking for something?" said a voice. Both Cadence and Shining Armor turned and saw the store pony walking towards them. "Yes. We're looking for Nathan and Mavis. Have you seen them?" said Cadence. "Oh, you mean those kids that stopped by my store? Yeah, I saw them one minute there and in the next they left while ordering something." said the store pony. "Do you know what happened to them next?" said Shining Armor. "Have no clue, but I do remember them being taken by the police." replied the store pony. That cause them to widen their eyes. "WHAT?!? What did they do?!?" they cried. "All I known is that they were following a trail of roses and this sign told them to grab the Crystal Heart." he answered while giving them the note. "It's said 'Grab me and get a special surprise! By George Cunningham'." Shining read aloud. "George Cunningham? Isn't he in prison?" Candace wondered. "Maybe he put that in here before he was caught by the authorities." Shining theorized. "Well, let's try to search every police station until we find them." Cadence said, as they went to who knows where. Nathan once woke up in yawn. When he opened his eyes, he found out that he was in some sort of prison cell. He saw that he was sitting in a cot attached to the wall, a toilet, and some bars were in the front of Nathan while other bars were in his cell window. "Oh no!" he cried as he got up. Worse, he saw he was wearing a prison-striped outfit, and a anklet on his right ankle. He tried to remove it, but it shocked him. "Ow!" Nathan whimpered. Then he remembered about Mavis. "Mavis! Where are you? he called. "I'm in the cell next to yours." she answered. "Also, I know I wouldn't always wear a dress outside the Crystal Empire, but prison stripes would not look good in me." Nathan rolled his eyes. "Can we just focus on how to escape here?" "Sure." Mavis replied. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue It was a normal day at the Crystal Empire were Nathan was playing his Nintendo DS while Mavis watched. "Well, Mavis. What should we do today, y'all?" said Nathan. "I don't know. Mommy is busy doing princess related stuff while everyone elses is at work, doing their jobs." said Mavis. "Well, we can't stand around all day, ya know. We have to do something." said Nathan. "I have a suggested idea." said a voice. Both Nathan and Mavis turned and saw 'Joshua' which they have no idea he was actually George Cunningham, walking towards them. "Oh, hey Josh." said Mavis. "What your y'all doing here? A'int y'all supposed to be back at Ponyville?" said Nathan. "Look, it doesn't matter why I'm here. It matters about you two." 'Joshua' said. "Us? What about us?" said Mavis. "Both of you don't do anything other than sit around and play video games while you both should be out there doing something exciting. Seriously, you two need to get a life and also another thing: TAKE MY ADVICE!!!" shouted 'Joshua' who then stormed off angrily. Both Nathan and Mavis stood there shocked about what their 'friend' had just said about them as Mavis said "He's right, Nathan. We need to get a life or we'll never going to be as good as him." Nathan looked at Mavis and asked "Well, what do y'all suggest we do?" "Why not go out there in the opening world of Equestria?" Mavis suggested. "Works for me, Mavis." Nathan shrugged. "Wait, before we do that I need to change clothes. I can't go out there wearing a dress." said Mavis. "Alright, but hurry up and change into something so we can go out there." said Nathan. "Alright. I'll be right back." said Mavis as she ran back to her room to change out of her dress. Few seconds later, she came out wearing a blue T-shirt, black boots, and a purple skirt that Rarity had made for her during her days living in Equestria. She then found Nathan and walked over to him and said "Alright, I'm all done changing. So, now what?" "Well, why don't we head down to that store in town there?" said Nathan. "Works for me." said Mavis as they both left the Crystal Empire. Unknown to them, there was a figure that was watching them. The figure was revealed to be George Cunningham who had disguising himself to look just like Joshua as he looked at the kids going off into the store. He smiled evilly. "That's right, you two. Go off out there soon, very soon. I will not only have the jewels but also a crystal palace to live in after I put phase two of my plan into action." said George Cunningham as he laughed evilly. In the town of the Crystal Empire... As Nathan and Mavis walked down the area, Mavis couldn't help but wonder what had happened to their 'friend'. "Y'all alright?" Nathan asked her. "Yeah, I just don't understand why Josh would tell us off like that. It's not like him to do that." said Mavis. "Now that y'all mentioned it, he was acting a bit strange." said Nathan as they got close to a nearby store "Well, there's the store." said Mavis as they got in. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Meanwhile at the Crystal Empire... Inside the Crystal Empire, Cadence was looking for both Nathan and Mavis who had went missing for some time now and she was getting worried sick about them not returning. "NATHAN! MAVIS! WHERE ARE YOU TWO?? IT'S ALMOST DINNER TIME!" she shouted. "Is there something wrong, Cadence?" said a voice. She turned and saw Shining Armor walking towards her. "Oh, Shining. There is something wrong! Nathan and Mavis have gone missing!" said Cadence. "WHAT?!?" shouted her husband. "I looked everywhere, even in their rooms, but I can't find them." said Cadence. "Well, let's ask the town if they seen them anywhere." said Shining Armor. "Yes. Let's do that," replied Cadence as she and Shining began heading to the Crystal town to search for the two children. Back with Nathan and Mavis... Nathan woke up with a yawn, as he outstretched his arms. However, he felt that he couldn't, and opened his eyes. Both of his hands were shackled, and he panicked. "Mavis! Wake up!" he cried. Mavis woke up and saw his brother being worried. "Nathan, what's wrong?" she asked. "We're arrested and being treated like criminals, that's what!" he said. Mavis cringed and tried to hug her brother, but she saw that both of her hands were also shackled like her brother's. "Oh, no!" she cried. The kids sobbed as they tried to hug each other without the chain of their shackles reaching their necks. Some guards inside the prison cart interrupted the scene. "Quiet down! " one said. This gave Nathan an idea. He swung his shackles forward the window of the prison door. "Stop that! You'll rust your chains!" another yelled. "I hope I do!" Nathan snapped back, while struggling in his restraints. The guards had enough and sprayed tear gas all over Nathan and Mavis, causing them to fall unconscious.
