Chapters "Come on Fluttershy! You promised!!"
"Okay okay, fine. I'll help with your portal overlap thing, but promise me nothing bad will happen to me!" Fluttershy said.
"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! The only thing that should happen is you'll become a human like your CHS counterpart!" Twilight exclaimed with great confidence.
"Yes...should ," Fluttershy mumbled under her breath.
The two ponies walked through Ponyville side by side. It was a long time before somepony spoke.
"Um...what does this spell actually do and why do you need me to test it?" Fluttershy said.
"Like I said, all it should do is turn you into your CHS counterpart. I tested it on Spike a total of exactly fifty seven times and all trials were a success! I just need to be sure that mass or species doesn't effect the spell's intended outcome. I'm sure that it won't, seeing as how most spells don't act that way, but some do. Once the spell is confirmed to be successful and harmless, I'll be a step coder to my ultimate goal! I want to be able to cast a spell on myself to keep me in my pony form when I go through the portal to Canterlot High. The first step is body transformations within the dimensions. Once my goal is reached, I can solve problems easily in their world. Does that make sense?" Twilight explained. Fluttershy processed the information, then nodded.
They entered the castle after some time of walking and chatting. Once inside, Twilight closed the door back and led Fluttershy to a room three floors up and near the back of the castle.
"This is the research lab I added! It's got all the equipment, space, and privacy I'll ever need! As well as instant access to the Starswirled the Bearded archives notes and scrolls! Celestia decided I should be able to study and make new spells without any disturbance and with any information I could need, so long as it gets send back, of course," Twilight said, standing in front of a blank wall before using her magic to make a steel door appear.
Fluttershy thought to herself, "How does she have access to the archives? And since when did she have a third floor to this castle?" She just shrug and decided not to question her friend.
"Aaaaaand, we're in! What do you think?"
"I-it's big. And very, um, sciency," Fluttershy said, stepping into the metallic chamber. It was a good size, roughly a twenty by twenty by twenty foot room, totally made of a durable metal in which Fluttershy couldn't identify. On the far right of the room there was a small purple box about a foot tall and four inches wide, large enough to fit a scroll inside. To the left of it was a pink box similar in size to its purple counterpart. Both boxes had an arrow and a scroll picture on them. The purple one had a scroll with a white arrow pointing down, the other had a scroll and black arrow pointing up. Against the same wall, there was a long table, about seven feet long, stretching to the corner. It had a microscope, magnifying glass, goggles, pages upon pages of notes and diagrams, and many other science and lab equipment along with other, more magical things. To the right of the mares' postition, there was a map of Equestria and just beside it was a map of a completely foreign world, presumably the human world, with a picture of a high school pinned to it. There was another picture with a group of six weird looking creatures on it, which Fluttershy recognized as her friends and herself. On the Equestrian map, there was a picture of her and her friends on it in front of the castle with the CMC in front of them. Fluttershy smiled and finished looking around the rest of the room.
"Well, I'd think it would be! I used a spell to keep it smaller from the outside while still having a large interior. I have a good partnership with a scientist in Ponyville who actually gave me information on what he calls "the TARDIS effect", which is how the lab is the way it is. Who knew that stallion was a scientist! I thought he only did clocks and timers for events and such, but I was wrong about that!" Twilight said.
"Oh..okay. The place looks great, though."
The Darkness: Part 1 (Fluttershy)
Fluttershy opened her eyes to find herself near her cottage. She sighed of relief seeing the peaceful cottage once again.
"At least nothing too bad happened," she said, checking herself. She was back to her normal pony self once again, another great realization after the events from moments ago.
She got up and started to trot over to the cottage, thinking to herself, "Should I go back to the castle? Twilight might be worried sick about me!" She stopped in her tracks, hearing hoof steps. She looked in the direction the sound was coming from and her eyes widened in shock. What she saw was another Fluttershy! She had on black eye shadow and her ear was pierced with a golden hoop and stud. She had on a black spiked choker and her mane was ruffled and messy.
"Oh my...what do I do!" Fluttershy thought to herself. The clone turned towards her and rolled her eyes.
"Ugh, Pinkamena! Of all of the pranks you and Dash have pulled on me, this by far is the worst prank of them all! Knock it off for Pete's sake, will ya!" she screamed at Fluttershy, her knees wobbling.
"I-I'm not sure this is a p-p-prank!" Fluttershy managed to squeak. The clone cocked her head and rolled her eyes again. Fluttershy finally started to gallop away towards town to find Twilight.
"Hey, Fluttershy! What's the hurry?" a familiar voice called out to her. She stopped and turned to see a Rainbow Dash clone. She had a similar ear piercing to her own clone, but there was two hoops and no stud. Her eye had a black slash through it, like an exaggerated scar.
"Oh, I'm um...just going for a walk around town Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy managed to get out. The Rainbow clone rolled her eyes at her.
"Fluttershy, you know I hate that name! I go by Dasher! I mean, it's not like I had my name changed sice we were in Junior Flight Camp or anything!" she said angrily. Her tongue was pierced as well! It was a golden hoop like the ear rings, just much smaller. Fluttershy also noticed a tattoo on her front right leg. It was a Shadow Bolt symbol.
"Oh..sorry! I'll just go, bye!" Fluttershy said, flying as fast as she could go to get away from Dasher.
She got to the castle to be let in by Spike. He had bags under his eyes and his teeth were yellow. He had a strange stick in his claws, most likely a cigarette, that was lit. Smoke curled from his lips and he smelled horrible!
"Sup b***h. What you need today? Crack? Booze? What?" Spike said, his voice raspy.
"Um..n-n-no thanks Spike. I'll p-pass. Where's Twilight?" Fluttershy said, taken aback by the dragon's foal language.
"Oh, she's playin' beer pong with Pinks, Jackie, and Rarity. They're already drunk as buck though!" Spike said, letting Fluttershy inside. The inside of the castle smelled of a month old hoof-ball player's gym bag! There was also an aroma of tobacco and alcohol that filled her nostrils. The decor and interior design was just as horrible as the smell. She could hear drunken laughs from down the hall.
"Hey *hic* Twilight? Are you just gonna stand there or will you buckin' throw the ball! Ah ain't got all *hic* night!" Applejack said between hiccups. She slurred her words so badly that it sounded like a mumbled mess of in audible noises. Twilight tossed the ball and missed.
"Please Twilight! I thought you'd do better than that! Let me show you hooligans how it's done!" Rarity said, only being slightly drunk since she only was drinking red wine. Pinkie was passed out in the corner drunk from the dare Applejack had given her. It was to drink a whole bottle of vodka in under a minute, which she had happily obliged. Rarity's ball fell into Twilight's second to last cup, leaving only one. Twilight was silent for a minute.
"Well! Drink the d**m drink so we can go on with this!" Applejack said.
"Okay Jackie! But you b***hes are goin' down!" Twilight yelled across the table, picking up the cup and gulping the drink down.

The Darkness: Part 2 (Fluttershy & Twilight)
Twilight watched the scene over Fluttershy, gathering information on the world and any possible way of contacting her.
"Spike...you gotta see this!" Twilight said, beckoning her dragon assistant to come towards her.
"What is it?" Spike asked, curiously.
"Take a look," Twilight said, pointing to the door of the alternate castle, allowing him to see himself.
"Oh sweet Celestia! I look horrible!!" Spike shrieked, seeing himself with gray smoke funneling through his mouth and his teeth a sickly yellow.
"Well, look at our friends! They're drunk, Pinkie is knocked out, Fluttershy is...I don't know what. Rainbow Dash is a part of a gang! And Celestia...oh my..." Twilight said. Spike, curious as to what was happening, looked over Twilight's shoulder into the "pot pool window" that Twilight made to monitor her dear friend. What he saw was beyond disturbing. Celestia, her mane a dark pink and black, was wearing a horrendous outfit that looked like a one piece bathing suit from the human world, only thinner and made for a pony. She had a whip and was forcing ponies to do certain tasks, including carry her around on a contraption much like Trixie's. Her make up was very dark pinks and black, her lips tainted deep magenta. Luna was no better, however she didn't wear the atrocious get up her sister was. She had on knee high blood red shoes that had a black Shadow Bolts symbol on it, much like Dasher. Her mane was scraggly and black and navy. She had some stallions in short dresses fan her for reasons unknown.
"Dear Celestia they look horrible! " Spike screamed yet again, cowering in a corner.
Fluttershy trotted through the hallway towards the drunken laughter and opened the door they appeared to emanate from. What she saw was Tartarus on Equestria! Pinkie pie lay in the far right corner passed out and Applejack could barely stay on her hooves. Twilight and Rarity, at this point, were not far behind. Rarity, having noticed the pegasus that walked in, smiled.
"Deary, come here! You have got to try this!" Rarity said, holding out a cup full of a clear liquid.
"W-what is it?" Fluttershy asked.
"Does it matter? Just drink the d**m drink!"
"Eep!" Fluttershy squeaked before taking the cup into her hooves. She slowly sipped it and instantly gagged. She had an extremely low tolerance to alcohol and this was certainly no exception! It was vodka, which Fluttershy despised!
"I...wanna go home!" Fluttershy thought.
"Fluttershy, join my team! I need another pony over here!" Twilight begged, tossing her beer about in her drunken state.
"I...I can't! I just wanted t-t-to v-visit for a moment! I gotta get home!" Fluttershy yelled as she dashed for the castle door. Spike was, of course, high on massive amount of crack he ingested. He was drinking a mixed cocktail when Fluttershy ran by.
"Awww...leaving the party already?" Spike said.

"Now, Fluttershy, are you ready for the spell?"
"Um...yes, I guess. I mean, I'm very nervous about this and all and what if the spell doesn't work Twilight? What'll happen to me?" Fluttershy stuttered.
"Hm...good question. I don't really know myself. I don't see why it won't work, but we'll just have to find out," Twilight replied, adding a shrug as she put on her lab coat.
"What's the lab coat for?"
"Oh, nothing! I just wear it to make me feel more like a scientist!" Twilight said, giggling. Fluttershy chuckled with her and soon the friends were laughing in the echoey lab.
"Alright, alright! Serious time! I'll count to three and cast the spell. One," Twilight started.
"Wait, what?"
"Two."
"Twilight I'm not-"
"Three!"
With that, Twilight horn sparked to life, making a bright purple light. It grew brighter and brighter, and Fluttershy even saw some bolts of energy spark around it. Fluttershy's pupils shrunk to the size of pins as she watched the magical essence grow larger a brighter by the millisecond! Twilight took aim and blasted the large magical beam at Fluttershy. She found herself encased in a purple glow. Her hooves began to morph into something completely alien to her. They grew skinny an the ends sprouted new apendages. Her hind hooves shrunk a bit in width, but grew extremely long. Her hooves became something similar to spikes feet, but longer an less pointed. Her ears shrunk into circles and her muzzle was nearly completely ear asked from her face. Her body was changing, not in a painful way, but enough to be slightly uncomfortable. Her wings and tail remained still.
"It's actually working! Fluttershy it's working!" Twilight said over the noise of her magical beam.
Fluttershy let out a soft "yay" before realizing that the magic seemed to spark around her. It was as if something bad would happen. "Um, Twilight? Is it supposed to do that?"
"Oh no...Fluttershy, I can't stop the magic!" Twilight screamed.
"Twilight!!" Fluttershy screamed as she felt her body stretch and curve in an unnatural way, as if she was being warped.
"Help!!" was the last thing Fluttershy said before being zapped away by the magic. Twilight stood frozen in place as she watched her friend get warped to another reality.
"Oh no...oh no oh no oh no!!" Twilight screamed in frustration and sadness.
Spike waddled into the lab sweating and panting, but he had great worry in his eyes.
"Twilight! What happened? Where's Fluttershy?" Spike asked.
"I-I don't know Spike. She just got sent to another reality!" Twilight said, mad at herself for letting this happen to her dear friend.
