Successor of my fic: Down the Road of Midnight

Equus, home to the Ponies of the nation of Equestria, had been invaded. For all the technology Equestria possessed, cars, planes, and weapons of all kind, the nation was ill prepared for a fight coming from the skies above. The allies Equestria had gained in the last two months – the UNSC and Galactic Republic – failed to keep back the onslaught of Covenant soldiers. The few ally ships over Equus were blasted right out of the sky by Covenant cannons. To make matters worse, an enemy of the Republic grows closer, their metal legions ready for battle.
In the resulting storm of bullets and plasma, Raven Volkov, a gryphon girl close to her ninth birthday, was orphaned. Both parents murdered by Covenant soldiers. Her own life was saved by an Earth Pony mare named Midnight Stargazer. The two quickly bonded, Raven quickly seeing her as the one thing holding her together in the chaos.
After volunteering for a mission deemed too dangerous for Raven, Midnight goes missing. Presumed dead by the survivors of it.
Grief stricken by the news, Raven sets out into the ruined city of Manehattan on a personal quest to prove Midnight isn’t dead and bring her back.
