Princess Luna, The Midnight Angel

Luna, the Midnight Angel.

The sun sets in the west, and gives way to the rising moon.  As all creatures big and small lay their heads down to rest and have peaceful dreams from the celestial body above.  The cries of a child lost can be heard on the wind.  Loneliness fills the young one’s heart.

They ask the heavens above “Please help, I don’t know what to do”.

Sadden by the child’s sorrow, the moon descends to the earth and asks, “Why are you crying young one”.

“I am lost and scared. I do not know what to do”. The child sobs in reply.

To this the moon speaks, “there is no reason to be sad. I am always here to light the night sky. Follow me and I will take you home”.
