Brandon yawned as he woke, opening his eyes to see a great expanse of green. The field of moderately tall grass gave way to a dark forest in the distance, a golden sunset lighting up the evening sky. He noticed that he was in fact sitting under a large tree, the branches sprawling up and away, creating a patch of shade for him to lie in. Glancing around he saw a small pegasus filly sitting about three feet from him, she had a soft purple coat and a brown mane that drifted in the wind as she stared out into the field from the shade of the oak.

The purple pegasus pony yawned and caught sight of Brandon as she turned slightly. Her magenta eyes sparkled as she smiled at him, "We should probably get back, it's gonna be dark soon", she said as she glanced back at the setting sun.

Brandon was confused for a second, "Get back? Get back to where?", he cocked his head as he spoke. His confusion was apparently funny and the filly beside him giggled as she stood up.

"Hello? Equestria to Harmony? We've gotta go home remember? Oh come on silly!", Brandon was jerked to his hooves when the purple pegasus suddenly latched onto his front hoof and lifted into the air, her premature pegasus wings flapping furiously in her effort to drag Brandon up before landing next to him and shoving him lightly, "Ok now come ooooon!", while pushing him from behind.
A sudden look of dark mischief drifted into her eyes and the colt beside her shivered in fear of what to come...

"Tag! You're it!",she slapped Brandon on the shoulder just before she bolted off, leaving a very confused orange unicorn colt in her wake.

And Brandon WAS very confused, but he knew one thing. A nagging in the back of his mind that reminded him of the tradition of old; never lose a game of tag... And soon he too was racing along behind the pegasus, struggling to catch her as the purple filly used her wings to boost her speed.

All the while, Brandon was only vaguely aware that he was slowly forgetting, his old memories being replaced by new ones. As he locked his eyes on his purple target, he felt his previous memories melt away in the happiness that he hadn't felt in a long time. Soon knew only that his name was Harmony Bass. He was an orange unicorn that lived in a small village just inside of Whitetail Woods. He knew that he had asked his mom if he and his friend... Soni, yeah. He had asked his mom if he and Soni if they could go out and play for awhile. He remembered his mom had said,"Okay sweetie, but be careful around the forest", before he bolted from the door and sped towards Soni's.

Soon all life as a human were forgotten, he only new his life here with his caring mother and his friend Soni.

Where he was happy.

Author's Note

Yes this chapter is EXTREMELY short. I just couldn't find the rest of it in my head at the time.
This is why there is gonna be part 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!

Also this is why I am hesitant to put the "Human" tag on it. Only the first and last chapters are going to have them present.Besides the nightmares he may or may not begin to have...
