Chapter 1View OnlineThe Lost OneChapter 1Author's Note This is my first fanfic, and I don't think it will do that well. Please give me tips on how I can improve my writing and comment any grammatical errors for me and tell me if you like the story. Thanks! -Entropic Chapter 1 Well, I'm not exactly sure how to start my story. I guess I can start when it all went down. It was a fall afternoon, a lovely day. Everybody was smiling and laughing. I hated it. Everything in my life was horrible, especially today. My name is James, and I am 16 years old. The day started out okay, but then I got a text from my girlfriend saying she broke up with me. She broke up with me through text! Who does that?! This didn't help that I have been depressed since my dog died last week. Anyways, I was walking along and around the corner of a building I saw this glowing light, and decided to check it out. What I saw confused the hell out of me. There was a glowing orb with lightning coming out of it, gradually getting more intense. I started to back up when it exploded into a cloudy vortex sucking me in. I tried to grab hold of something, but there was nothing to hold onto, and I got sucked into the vortex. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Shh! I think it is waking up!" "Stand back!" Oh god what happened? All I remember is that thing sucking me in. I think i heard people talking, but couldn't open my eyes. "Hello? Is someone there?" I heard gasps around me. "It can talk!" "What do you mean 'it' can talk? I'm human! Of course I can talk!" It felt like I was on a metal table. This has to be the weirdest hospital I've ever been in. And now that I think about it, I feel a slight breeze. "So it is as I thought. We are going to remove your blindfold now, please do not panic." What could they possibly mean? At least that explains why I couldn't see. As my blindfold was removed, light flooded my vision and I couldn't see anything. The light went away and I saw I was staring at the roof of a large tent. Must be a temporary medic tent. But why? I looked around and saw what I could only describe as colorful horses. Upon closer examination I noticed some had wings and horns. "Woah this can't be possible, I have to be dreaming. There are strangely colored horses, some with wings and some with horns!" I noticed one of them had both, and it's mane was flowing in the wind. It had a white coat and it's mane was made up of 3 colors. I also noticed it was taller than all the others. "Please stay calm, I know this must be startling for you," the white one said. "WHAT THE FUCK HORSES CAN'T TALK OR HAVE WINGS OR-" I couldn't talk anymore, like someone put a hand over my mouth, but all I saw was a yellow glow. "I said please remain calm," the white one, who I assume is a she, said. "I am Princess Celestia, and you have somehow arrived in the land of Equestria. Now, if you promise to remain calm, I will remove the silencing spell. Do you understand?" I nodded, and the yellow glow disappeared. "Good, now tell me, what is your name?" "James, my name is James." "Okay James, do you know how you got here?" "I remember seeing a glowing orb with lightning coming out of it, then it exploded into a cloudy vortex and it sucked me in, then I woke up here. " "Interesting," Celestia said. "I felt a magical imbalance in this area." "Is that how you found me?" "That and the huge storm centered around this area." "Yea I would think that would probably draw some attention to it." "We will be trying to create another portal to get you home, but for now my student Twilight Sparkle will be helping you and housing you." Then, a purple unicorn came out from behind Celestia. "WOW! A real live human! This will be so exciting!" "What do you mean 'real live'? Am I mythical beast or something?" Celestia spoke up, "I can tell you later, when you meet with my sister. Now Twilight will take you to her home. I would suggest you brace yourself." She smiled. "What do you mean bra-" *POP* "FUCK" I was dizzy and my ears hurt like hell. "What the hell was that?" "Sorry, teleportation. It has quite an effect the first time." Said who I assumed to be Twilight. "Wait, teleportation? That isn't possible." I started to look around where I was, and it seemed like a library. "Yes, all unicorns can control magic." "Wait, magic?" "Yes, all ponies possess magic, but only unicorns can control it. Earth ponies have the magic of agriculture and strength and pegasi have the magic of being light and able to stand on clouds." Damn this is a lot to take in... "Deep breath in, deep breath out." "What do you mean?" "Well its just that my old world didn't have all this crazy magic." "WHAT?!?!" Twilight Screamed "Jeez, you don't have to yell..." "I just can't imagine what a would would be like without magic!" "Well, we managed cause of these!" I said as I showed off my hands. Twilight came up to them and started looking at them. "Interesting," She said,"I'll have to examine you fully later." "Yea..." I thought about what she would do to me, and it did not bring pleasant thoughts. "Where am I anyways, I thought Celestia said you were bringing me to your house. This looks like a library." "You are correct. This is both my house, and the town library." "You must really like books huh?" "Yea, you could say that." "What time is it, I'm quite tired." "11:30 at night. You were asleep for quite a while." "Damn. Can you show me where I am gonna be sleeping?" "Sure, follow me please." I followed Twilight down some stairs into what seemed to be he basement, where I saw a small cot on the floor. "They usually don't make beds that large, but I tried my best." "Eh, I've had worse. I'm going to go to bed. I have a lot to think about."
Chapter 2View OnlineThe Lost OneChapter 2All characters that belong to Hasbro belong to Hasbro "That was one crazy dream.." I started to open my eyes and couldn't belive what I saw. I was in a basement with a giant purple lizard coming down the stairs. "Oh shit. This can't be a dream." "Who's there?" The lizard said. I don't think he has noticed me yet, so if I just duck below the covers... Oh fuck he's comIng over here. Get ready to jump up and scare him away. 1.. 2.. 3 "RAAAAGH" "AHHHHHH" The lizard screamed and ran upstairs screaming. "Twilight Twilight! There is a monster downstairs!" Wait, he knows Twilight? Shit, I probably fucked up. Twilight came down the stairs and saw me, and I smiled sheepishly and waved. "Hey Twilight, sorry about that." "Morning James, now that I think about it, I should have told you about Spike, my assistant. He is a baby dragon." "A dragon? What's next, a gryphon?" "Well..." "There are gryphons, aren't there?" "Yea." "Oh god! This can't be happening. This isnt possible!" "Are you okay?" Twilight asked. "Not really, I am stuck in a world of mythical beasts with no way home!" "James, please calm down, you can meet my friends and Princess luna today. The princesses may have a way to get you back home." "Well at least there is some good news." "Ill call you up when my friends get here." Twilight and Spike walked up the stairs, leaving me on my cot. I started to think what I would do if I couldn't get home. Man this sucks ass. I put my hands in my pockets and felt something. "My phone! Wait, it can't have any signal." I checked if it did and somehow, it had five bars! "How the f-. You know what? I'm going to stop questioning this world. I have to send a text to my friend to see if it goes through!" Hey David, did you get this text?< Yea, why? This is going to sound crazy, but im stuck in a world with mythical beasts and colorful ponies.< ... Do you belive me?< Yea, why wouldnt I I don't know, it just sounds impossible.< Well I have no reason to think you are lying. Well, can you get back home? The ponies, who are sentient, are working on it< Wow. I gotta go, catch you later. Yea. Bye< At least I am not completely disconnected from earth. A few hours later I saw Twilight walking down the stairs. "The princesses and my friends are here. Come on up." I got up and walked up the stairs and when I got to the main floor I saw 5 new ponies, Celestia, and who I assumed to be Princess Luna. Her mane was somehow like a starry night, and her coat was a deep blue. I hadn't noticed untill now, but every pony had some sort of tattoo on thier flank. Inhould ask about those later. "Everpony, meet James. James, these are my friends. This one is Applejack," she gestured to an orange earth pony with a yellow mane and stetson. "Howdy James." Twilight then pointed to a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane. "This is Rainbow Dash." Rainbow Dash just kinda just stared at me like I was a threat and didn't say anything. "Rainbow, he isn't a spy." Twilight said. "I'll still keep an eye on him." Twilight then pointed to an empty space, but when I looked behind Rainbow Dash I saw a yellow Pegasus quivering, as if in fear of me. "Fluttershy, he isn't a monster, and he isn't going to hurt you. Don't mid her, she is a bit shy." Next up was a white unicon with a purple mane. "This is Rarity." Rarity then nodded at me. Twilight then pointed to an empty space. "This is Pinkie Pie." "Uhh, Twilight, there is nothing there." "Oh great, she is probbaly planning a "Welcome to Ponyville" party right now for you." "But she doesn't even know me. And I won't be staying for long." Celestia then spoke up, "James, about that... My sister and I are having troble finding a way to recreate the magical conditions needed for a portal to open." Luna then spoke up, "The magical conditions you need are very extreme and very difficult for us to accomplish." Celestia then spoke again, "Because you may be here for quite some time, my sister and I would like to introduce you to our culture and history, so we invite you to come to Canterlot tomorrow. We will send a carriage to pick you up at eight in the morning. But for now, I'm afraid this was all the time we had for today. See you soon, James." The princesses then turned around and walk out thte door. "Oh god, I don't want to be stuck here forever!" "It's okay James, the princesses are the most powerful beings on the planet, I'm sure they'll figure something out." Twilight's friends started leaving, and once they were gone, I thought I had to tell her about my phone. "Hey Twilight?" "Yea James?" "My people made a device that lets us communicate with others by using radio waves, and it is called a mobile phone, and when I came here I had mine on me." "And?" Twilight seemed interested. "Well, they have to have radio towers for them to work, so when I checked it this morning, you would not belive how suprised I was when it had signal. And to make sure it wasn't glitching, I contacted my friend back home and it worked!" "That's great James! Can I see your phone?" "Sure." I pulled out my smartphone and showed her how it worked. "Wow! This is amazing technology! All this without magic?" "Yep." "I admire hmans so much more now... This is just.. Wow." "I am still suprised that it works. Ill set an alarm for tomorrow morning. Before I forget. I think I am going to go lay down for a while Twi." "Twi?" "Just a nickname. It is easier than saying Twilight." "Okay James." Once I was in bed I texted David again to give him the news Hey David, got some bad news.< Hey man, what's up? The ponies may not be able to make a portal home for some time.< That really sucks. Yea. By the way, how long has it been since I last texted?< About an hour. Why? Wow, it has been about 6 hours on my side.< That is quite a jump of time I head Twi calling my name. Hey, I gotta go, talk to you later.< Bye I went up stairs to see what was going on, when I saw all the lights were out. "Hello?" The lights flicked on and I saw what looked like a party. "SUPRISE!"
Chapter 3View OnlineThe Lost OneChapter 3All Hasbro Characters are owned by Hasbro "SUPRISE" I saw a bright light, heard a loud bang, then everything went dark. I heard ponies panicing before I lost conciousness. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I woke up in a small, but incredibly comfy bed. I looked around, and it seemed I was in a very fancy hospital. There was no one in the room, but I heard voices outside of the door. The door opened and in came a light blue pony with a purple mane who looked like they were a nurse. Celestia and Luna also came through the door. "Oh good, you're awake. I am Nurse Sky. You are in the castle clinic in Canterlot," The nurse said. I tried to sit up but it seemed to be impossible becauee of the immense pain. "What happened? Everything hurts, and I have a massive headache." Celestia nodded to the nurse, and she left the room. "You were burned by a magical blast," Celestia said. "But by who? Did someone think I was a monster and just shoot on impusle?" I strained to talk. Luna then spoke up, "Well, thats the thing, see the source of mthe blast didn't orignate fomr a pony." "Then where did it come from?" "You." Celestia said. "That isn't possible. Humans can't use magic. Earth didn't have it." "You are correct in that your planet did not have magic, but humans did not originally come from Earth," Luna said. Celestia continued, "About fifteen hundred years ago, humans roamed this planet, called terra. All the other creatures and species got along relativley well, but the humans did not. The only thing they wanted was war. The war against himans lasted over 100 years, and even though there were more of us then there were humans, it was a very hard battle. In the end, my sister and I made the very difficult decision to banish them to a different universe forever. The humans could use magic, and we saw that was made them power hungry. Because of this, we sent them to Earth. When you were teleported to Twiligt Sparkle's home, the magic must have reawakened in you." I was speechless. I could use magic. Nearly every humans dream. "How?" "What?" "How do I use my magic?" "We can teach you that later. I am glad to see you are so eager," Celestia said. Luna then said, "But first, we would like to teach you some of out history and culture." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "And in one month, we celecbrate the 3 year anniversary of Luna's return!" "I don't belive that you have the power to move celestial bodies." "Want to see for yourself? Luna is about to lover the moon, and I have to raise the sun. You could come watch." "How would I move? I am stuck here for now." "I could teleport you to my bedroom." I nodded, and braced for the teleportation. *POP* We were in what I assumed to be Celestia's bedroom, and it was dark outside. I noticed another one of those auras, which are what I assumed to be magic. "To make it easier for you, I have put an ease of movement spell on you so you can stand and walk around." "Thanks." I walked out onto the balcony where Celestia now was, and for the first time noticed how beautiful the night sky was. "Wow, the night sky is amazing. The stars are so visible. Back on Earth the stars were hard to see with light polution." "Luna will be happy you said that. She weaves the stars every night." "I'll only belive that if you make me belive you can raise a star." Then Celestia's horn started to glow, and she started to float about three feet in the air. Her wing than spread, and she was shining so bright, I could hardly see. Then behind her the sun was peaking over the horizon, making Celestia only a silhouette. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. After the whole thing was over I fell to my knees. "I belive you." "Let's get back to the clinic." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 WEEK LATER ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You are cleared to leave now James. It is remarkable how quickly humans can heal," Said Nurse Sky. "I am suprised too, humans aren't supposed to heal as fast as I did. Maybe it's the magic?" "Possibly. The Princess told me to inform you that Twilight will be teching you how to use magic in the coming weeks, and that a carriage will be outside to take you to ponyville." "Great! Thanks Nurse Sky!" After wandering the castle for a couple minutes, I found the exit and saw what looked like a chariot with two pegasi harnessed up to the front of it. I got on it and one of the pegasi told me to hold on. I wondered why, but then they started galloping and flapping their wings and we lifted up into the air. Oh god I hate heights. I felt like I was about to throw up, but I held it down. About 30 gut-wrenching minutes later, we landed in ponyville and I stumbled off. "Never again." I heard the carraige fly off and I saw Twi come out the door of what looked like a giant tree. "James!" "Hew Twi. That was horrible. I hate flying." "Well you are going to have to get over if you want use some of your magic." "About that, when do we get started?"
