Chapters Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pone
I awoke with a jerk, sweat was visibly dripping down my face. Had I died? The last thing I could remember was the explosion. I was shocked for a second before remembering.
"Paz!" I exclaimed, remembering the incident. My eyes were wide, trying to piece together what had happened, as I sat there. For a second I snapped out of it, examining my surroundings only to notice a major change. My eyes widened further as I examined my own body. What happened to my body, I'm different. I sat for what seemed like hours, feeling a torturous horror, noting the disappearance of my hands. I was hyperventilating at an unimaginable pace, my heart was racing at the recent developments. I quickly Fumbled my cigarettes from my pouch, doing my best to get one in my mouth. I struggled for the next minutes, hardly able to get it in my mouth. Lighting it didn't take very long, and I soon felt a calm wash over my whole-self.
As I tried to get on my feet, I once again examined my surroundings, noting how colorful the scenery was.
"Am I dead," I said to myself nervously. "If I am, then this is most certainly isn't hell." I did my best to get onto my feet, as I knew that moping wouldn't get me the information I needed. My legs were visibly shaken, I wasn't used to such a form. I slowly moved about, taking slow steps. One by one my new appendages would touch the ground. I stopped walking, as I had noticed a nearby town, maybe I could gather some intelligence.
I move down the hill at a slow pace, making sure that I am unheard as I approach the village. The buildings seem to be some form of rustic cottages, where could I be? I crouch and make my way to some nearby foliage, I need to investigate the town before I get any closer. I peek through the brush, and what I saw made me drop my cigarette. My jaw was wide, there were horses walking around this town. How could this be?
I sneak my way to a near by market stall, emptying a cardboard box. I proceeded to conceal myself before continuing across the street. My bones chilled at what had occurred next.
"Is that box moving!" exclaimed an unknown suspect. Soon many things had approached me. The crowd had formed quickly, and I had decided to book it. I screamed mild profanities, and I ran ahead, the box still over my body. I had to escape before the crowd had caught me, and it seemed like they were gaining.
I was scared, as I ran in and out of alleyways. I knew I was being pursued, I could hear the trotting of the beasts. I need to find a way out. I kept changing direction and speeding up, regardless the mob would only get closer. I spotted a dumpster, and without hesitation I dived inside. I could hear the movement of the crowd, as they ran past.
I was safe, but why were they after me? After a few minutes, I peeked out into the open. Once all was clear I ejected from the dumpster. I had only thought that it was clear however.
"Gotcha!" A pink being exclaimed, tackling me to the ground. It was over, what was I to do. "No one gets away that easily." Fear was crippling me, as I could only await the horrors that were ahead. "No one escapes a Pinkie Pie welcome." Confusion swept over me, as I was dragged by this horse. Was I their prisoner, what was to become of me? As I was brought further from the alley's darkness, I saw the mob that awaited. These beasts were smiling, I was sickened by the cruelty expressed by these soldiers. They cheered their victory over me as I was taken towards a large pink building. I was sent through the front door with a push, only to be greeted by party hats and balloons, what was going on!?
I need answers.
Upon entering, I saw a hoard of these animals, and a banner that said, "Welcome Stranger!"
"Welcome to Ponyville," my pink captor said to me, only confusing me even more. Upon seeing me, the strangers looked at me with confused expressions. "What's wrong with you?"
I looked around once more, sweating bullets, "Who are you people, is this some kind of joke!?" The creatures looked disheartened and confused.
"I-I just wanted to w-welcome you," The pink one said, their voice wavering. Suddenly I was approached by a blue one. I flinched as they hit me straight in the face.
"How dare you, all Pinkie was trying to do was to make you feel welcome, why would you be so mean ?" The blue one said, venom in their words. I was sent onto my back. I stood up, instinctively apologizing to the one known as "Pinkie". They sprung back up excitedly, which took me by surprise. Was this horse bipolar? I chuckled to myself, as everyone around me seemed to go back to their business. I tried to retreat out the back door, but I was pulled back in by someone.
"Hey, I'm sorry for the bruise, I'm Rainbow Dash," The pony said to me, looking towards the distance. I looked back to them, mustering a smile.
"Don't worry about it, you pack one hell of a punch," I said the the girl. she began to examine me, before investigating my eye patch. I had sincerely hoped they wouldn't, I was mistaken.
They got as white as ghost when they saw it, "W-what happened?" I gave another weak smile, before claiming that it was an 'accident', which it was technically speaking. She pretended to be over it, but it was obvious that she was extremely unnerved and interested by it. I waved to her as she left towards to I assume are her friends. I walked away, and I had decided to grab some punch. As I gulped down the liquid I had noticed that it was spiked. Whatever was in it wasn't very hard, but it was most certainly there.
At some point, I made my way outside, I looked up at the stars. My mission was clear, I needed to find my way back home. I lied back against the wall, smoking a cigarette, thinking about how I would escape this strange land. I need to find some kind of work in the mean time, or else I won't have the necessary funds to do that. As I leaned there, I felt the side of my face, it was stung by that horse. This lead me to wonder about how I will get my body back, I can't do much in this state.
As I stood and waited in the night, I heard a screaming, "Help me!" After a second of thinking, I ran into the alleys towards the noise. I was in full sprint towards the source, something was wrong. As I grew near, I was able to make out a young female and a muscular horse. Springing into action, I tackled the male, striking his face. He pushed me off, it was time to fight. The Yellow pony ran from the scene, so there wasn't any distractions.
The stallion felt his face, he yelled, "You're gonna pay for that!" He was in full on sprint, he had murder in his cold, callous eyes. I strafed to my left, using his momentum to vault him into the ground. The fight was cut short, as my opponent was knocked unconscious. Thankfully, some of my skills had passed over to this body. I grabbed the grey horse, and I flung him over my back. Slowly but surely, I made my way out onto the street, where the girl was waiting with two armored horses. They looked surprised as I dropped the criminal before them.
"This stallion was harassing that young lady," I said to the guards, they gave me a look of appreciation as they took away the unconscious pony. I had turned to see a crowd, and everyone cheered to my victory.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

After some time I escaped the crowds. As soon as I was away, I began to think about the perpetrator. Some of the details were strange, he was a gray and black stallion, but he seemed to have an insignia on the clothes he wore. The more and more I thought about it, I decided to ask the locals for more details.
Maybe there was something bigger behind the attack.
I walked out of the alleyway, there were only a few locals out at this hour, and that was probably due to the incident earlier. I made my way down the road, and I saw bright neon lights blasting from a house. I glanced up and noticed that I was on "Electric" Avenue. On my way to the building I asked passersby, only to have my time wasted. Eventually I came up to the building, there was noise booming through the thick walls. I opened the door, only to be greeted by some sort of club scene. I made my way through the hoard of ponies, who were all doing what I could only describe as dancing. At the front of the hoard was an off-white mare in front of a turn table. I continued to search for someone useful, only to find a stallion wearing the same insignia. He was obviously drunk and was hitting on a mare. I made my way over as he spoke gibberish, and I decided to question him.
I grabbed him by his foreleg and dragged him to the bathroom. He looked to me and said, "H-hey, I was doin' great with her." I laughed as I dragged him into a restroom where I could interrogate him. As I walked through the door I was met with a shriek. I left and went into the other bathroom.
Wrong one I guess.
As we enter, I toss him into the furthest stall, "Who are you working for!?" I slowly walk my way to the stall, as the stallion laughs.
I get walk through the stall door with a menacing look, the stallion replies, "That's none of your business." I force my hoof into his jaw with malice. He recoils and rubs his face.
"Wrong answer, who are you working for?" I say, standing above him. He jerks towards me, and I plant my hoof into his chest, forcing him against the wall. I manage to pull a knife out of my back pouch, holding it to his neck with my mouth. The brown stallion begins to sweat and tear up.
I look him into the eyes and he says, "I work for the Chaos Order, were a small PMC that operates a few miles south from here." I put my knife back before slamming him unconscious. So it seems this is going to get interesting. I put the soldier on the toilet, as I walk out. I stop before the mirror, inspecting my own appearance. I was light green with brown hair and a beard. The green fatigues I wore, stained with dirt.
"Not bad," I say to myself, walking out of the restroom. I make my way out of the building, as their rave continues. All I would have to do now is ask about the "Chaos Order". If they aren't an immediate threat, then I will leave them be, but if they are causing trouble, there base is as good as mine. I walk down the street, starting over with my questioning.
The general consensus was that they were pretty vulgar guys, they tried to pick up mares and would start fights in town. I guess I should deal with them. I made my way to the border of town. Once i'm there, I lie against a tree. Lighting a cigar , I wait for morning to come. The brilliant stars pass me by, as my smoke fills the air. The alabaster surface of the moon makes its way across the sky to make room for the sun. The strange thing was the aura emitting from it.
odd.
Anyway, the sun eventually began to rise, and I got myself back on to my feet, err hooves.
That's going to take some getting used to. No matter, I made my way to the southern gates of Ponyville. I was trotting out of the hamlet, when I was interrupted by a familiar pony. It was err, something-dash.
"Where are you off too so early?" She abruptly asked, with an inquisitive look. I lingered for a little bit, as she stood there. Should I tell her the truth?
I decided to be frank, and I said, "I'm going to go deal with the Chaos Order." This got me quite the reaction, as the mare stood there with wide eyes and her mouth agape.
"That's insane, they have hostages!" Dash replies, giving me a look. Hostages huh? That changes things.
"If that's the case, I should leave immediately," I say, giving a smug grin to the blue mare. She stood there dumbfounded as I walked off. "I'll be back with the hostages, if I'm not back by noon, I won't be." This was going to be fun. She continued to stand there as I had made my way into the distance.
I walked along the path, knowing that it wouldn't take me long. I noted the trees as I went on my way, the colors sure were vivid in this world. Eventually, I came across a small encampment, there were a few guards. This shouldn't take too long. The base was compromised of three buildings, one of which would hold the hostages. There was a guard tower, two guards watching the roads, and probably one with the hostages. Luckily for me, it seems the sniper is asleep in the tower. This would be easy. I took a left into the wood, and got behind a tree. I picked up a rock about the size of my hoof, and I threw it against the back of a building. Instinctively, one of the guards came around the building. He didn't see anything until it was too late.
I disarmed the soldier, with a kick, and I held my knife to his neck. "Where are the prisoners," I said softly, pressuring his side with my death grip. He paused nervously, looking around.
"There in the building beside us, just don't kill me," the blue stallion said, as I choked him. I laid him back on the ground once he was unconscious. I turned around as I heard a voice approach.
"Are you almost done back there?" another guard asked, as he turned the corner. With the malice of a snake, I came around to his back and hit him once in the neck. He was instantly knocked out cold, I picked up the soldiers gun. Needless to say, it was an odd thing. The trigger space was much bigger so that a hoof could fit. Other than these differences, it looked like a normal pistol. It was already armed so went inside the building, making sure no other guards were watching.
Once inside, I was greeted with a guard, I held up my gun and said, "Drop your weapon." The butter-colored mare then did as I said, and I knocked her unconscious just like her buddies. There were two hostages in simple bindings looking at me. One was a light grey mare with light yellow hair and a lazy eye, the other was a light brown stallion with a spiky hair-do. The exclaimed muffled words through their makeshift gags. I unbound them with my knife, and they began greeting me with praise.
"Thank you mister, I didn't think anyone would come to help us," The mare said, looking at me. "My name is Ditzy Doo, and this is Doctor Whooves." The door was opened by none other then the sniper. I turned around with lightning reflexes and initiated a CQC fight. I tackled him out the door, and began throwing punches. The fight was short-lived, as the sniper was quite frail. I hit them in the head with my colt 1911, making sure they were unconscious. I dusted myself off, as I brought the hostages outside. We walked down the road, just as noon was approaching. We were engaged in small talk. I learned that these two were friends in Ponyville. They were taken late a few nights ago, by someone who fit the same description as the guy I fought last night. Apparently they were coming home from watching a movie.
They were delighted to be free from their captors, as we approached the town's border. As we came into range, we saw Dash, she was accompanied by a few of the town's guards that I saw last night. Their eyes and mouths showed their surprise and interest, as I came back with the hostages. They mumbled gibberish as we moved closer. I informed the guards on the happenings, and they gave me a salute. They ran off to apprehend the targets, and I was there with Dash and the Ex-Prisoners.
"Surprised to see me?" I asked Dash, as she simply nodded. She quickly gave me an angry look as she swung her hoof. This time I had blocked it, only because I am now used to this body.
"You could have gotten you, or someone else killed," She said, with frustration. I simply laughed, at her anger. Ditzy and the Doctor were unsure of what just happened, so I motioned them to go back home.
"I have a history of such operations, you shouldn't underestimate me," I said, mocking the angry mare. "Your town's guards just aren't very good at their jobs." She looked away from me and walked off.
"If you think you're so good, then why don't you do the job yourself," Dash said, trotting back into town. Not a bad idea, that would give me income and free housing. I'm going to think about that one. However, once the guard was back, I would have to give a full report to them.
I awaited the return of the guards, as I leaned against a tree, I did something good today. How about that. That Dash has some serious anger issues though, you can't just go around trying to hit people. I lied against the wood and I began to slumber. It was a relief to finally have a minute of rest, but that wouldn't last long. I tried to enjoy the time that I had as I waited. The sun over me seemed to fly across the sky. As it faded into the distance I heard hoof steps. I guess they were back.
I waved to the guards as they approached, "I assume you're expecting a full report." A grey mare with a white mane was leading them, and she proceeded to nod towards me.
"Follow us," She commanded, as she walked into town. Her entourage followed her, carrying the unconscious soldiers. We walked through the streets, and we were met with applause and cheer. These ponies were grateful for our efforts. As we approached the guard's barracks, the applause faded. There I saw Ditzy and Whooves, who were here to tell there sides of the story. We walked inside and were prepared to inform the guards of the Chaos Order's heinous crimes.
We were all in a room, seated in front of their captain. "Hello, my name is Shield Breaker, I know the two of you," she said looking towards them, but as she turned to me she asked, "But, who are you?"
Everyone had their eyes on me, "My name is Big Boss," I couldn't use my real name, in case someone here knew me.
"A lot of people have been talking about you lately, but no one seemed to know your name, I guess that mystery's solved," Shield said, scribbling something down onto a form. "You handle yourself well, thanks again for rescuing these two." I nodded as she turned back to the others. She asked some basic information, like "What did they do to you" or "Did they hurt you" and this process went on for about an hour and a half. Afterwards, she turned to me, "How did you take them out without so much as a gash?" I laughed and explained the method in which I took the base, she was interested with my report. "Everyday, these PMCs operate undiscovered by our government's watchful eye, I am thankful for what you did." "We were wondering if you would consider joining Ponyville's guard," she said to me, awaiting my response.
"I think I will," I replied, securing myself a job in Ponyville. Things were going to get interesting.

Oh boy.
I was sitting in the back of a bus, we were driving to a base in the San Palomino desert. Despite my "outstanding" performance, I was required to go through the same training as everyone else was. It was past noon as I glanced outwards towards the lifeless desert. There wasn't much to say, we passed by small towns and gas stations. Other than those few distractions, there was nothing to occupy my time. The other recruits looked just as bored as I was.
Before boarding, we were given olive drab fatigues, as per the norm, but we also got our patches. The insignia was a pony mid-sprint. Other than that, our uniforms were pretty basic.
I had almost nodded off before I was prodded by the Stallion next to me. He light blue, and he had a grin on his face. I returned a fake smile to him, I was wondering what he was up to.
He opened his mouth and asked, "Hey, you're that guy who saved those hostages, right?" I simply nodded as he turned away. Thankfully he didn't ask anymore questions. Apparently, I was training to work for the E.A.F (Equestrian Armed Forces), and from what I hear the training was only supposed to last a few days. I guess the quality of their soldiers aren't very high.
I lit one of my cigars, but I was immediately yelled at by the driver. This was going to be a long bus ride. I resorted to the most basic of habits, flicking my lighter and biting my lip. Time only seemed to slower as I waited for our arrival. I looked out the window, and I watched the herd of buffalo stampede by. The few seconds that I saw anything were a brief solace to my boredom.
Thankfully enough, the base was in sight. It was quite large, surrounded by four watch towers on the exterior, and had multiple buildings on the interior. To further elaborate, the far north end of the base housed a hanger, most of the other buildings were barracks and offices. The rest of the space was open, presumably for training.
We stopped in front of the main gate, where we were greeted by security. They quickly cleared us and we drove inside. Soon, I would be off of this death machine . The driver aligned our transport with the others and parked.
He stopped the bus, and in a gravely voice said, "Now get out, I've got places to be."
This guy's a real party animal.
In single file we were marched out of the bus, and we stopped in front of the first barracks. We lined up horizontally and saluted to a Mare. She was light orange and covered in ribbons.
"I am Col. Mustang, and this is Fort Brun. You are here today to be trained in protecting Equestria's fine towns and cities," The mare said, looking at us with a malicious smirk. "If you think this will be easy, then leave now, because we don't need any quitters." I know the type, they're just another stern officer who get their job done through intimidation. At least I would only have to deal with this once.
"You will be tested in three different categories to determine your placement: Marksmanship, Stealth, and Close Quarters Combat," Mustang said, tilting her sunglasses. "If you think you're up to the task." I saw a few stallions beside me, their noses high and their chests puffed. Mustang walked up to them, "Would you three like to demonstrate your CQC abilities for me?" They chuckled and walked towards Mustang.
"Come at me," She said, prompting the charge of the proud stallions. The first one was coming in hot, but within in instant he was tripped flat on the ground. The next rushed her, she turned him around and had him in a nelson hold. I watched, amused, as Mustang flung him into the last attacker. The Soldiers clapped their hooves as the three stallions were lain out. "Any volunteers?" Muffled silence was heard as the crowd stood still.
I raised my hand.
Mustang gives me a smug grin and asks, "Think you have what it takes?" I simply nodded and approached slowly. As I got closer, Mustang readied themselves, poised for a counter-attack. Once in range, like a viper, Mustang struck at my side. Years of practice were beneficial to me however, as I grabbed onto their front-right hoof and torso. We were locked in a struggle, and both of us were trying our damnedest. Running out of stamina, I swept my fore hoof at her legs. This single action changed the very course of battle as Mustang was toppled to their side.
Mustang got back on to their hooves, and said, "Nice work, private." I laugh as I am greeted with applause. Mustang dusts themselves off as they turn to the crowd, "Alright, that's all for today. You will now be assigned a group and barracks." A meek and slender stallion walked pass, handing out papers to the soldiers. When they got to me, the gray stallion tilted his glasses and gave me my paper. He walked away shaking, he seemed like a real pencil pusher.

With a final salute, we returned to our barracks in an orderly fashion. As we entered barracks two, we went to our assigned bunks. They were designated with a small slip of paper. As I sat down on my bunk, I was greeted by an energetic, young stallion with light brown fur. They seemed eager to speak to me, their dog-tags read "Steady Shot".
"Hey, you were crazy to take on Mustang," They said, looking at me with great interest. "Where did you learn to fight like that?" I just looked at them for a second. It was only at this point that I had realized, these ponies had tattoos on their asses. "You okay?" I snap out of my stupor and look at them again.
"Yeah, i'm fine, and to answer your question, it's a long story," I reply, observing them further. The tattoo seemed to be of a cross-hair, now that I think about it he has a horn. That's odd. Actually, Dash had wings didn't they, man this place is weird.
We sat their making small talk until a soldier yelled, "Lights out!" The room was soon filled with darkness, the two of us nodded and went to slumber.
I lied there, peering through a window, watching the brilliant moon once again pass through the sky. It lulled me to sleep slowly as I laid, I wonder how I got here in the first place. Am I dead? Either way, I don't have time for these kind of questions.
I keep my mind on task as my conscious slowly fades. Tomorrow was another day.
I groggily awoke to blasting sirens, red lights were filling the barracks. We're under attack. I moved towards the door, grabbing a rifle. It seems my bunk-mates had already gotten ready for the intruders. I slung the gun on to my back as I threw open the door.
It was chaos.
Lion-like birds were flying around the base, and lead was being flung every which way. I cocked my rifle and took aim towards the flying menace. My shot took one down, but it seemed that there was always another to take its place. The birds return fire as I dive to cover, scraping my legs. Heavy casualties were being sustained on both sides. I turned around and saw a beast thrusting its claw into a soldier. I shot it off of my comrade and I went to make sure they were okay.
They weren't okay. I looked at their bloodied corpse, but it is unrecognizable. Upon grasping at the body's dog-tags, they read "Steady Shot". That's not something you get used to. I cover their eyes with my hoof as I rush back to the fray. Battle-cries were screamed to the heavens as we took down the enemy one-by-one. As I take aim at another creature, I am tackled by a bird. Their knife was held high and murder was in their eyes. As the knife was brought down, a bullet soared through their skull.
I looked over to the shooter, it's Mustang. "Get up, we need everyone fighting to repel the threat," Mustang says pulling me to my hooves. We continue to fire into the sky, frequently missing as the battle surges on. The base stinks of blood and smoke, as the bodies pile onto the pavement. The battle was still far from over.
Reinforcements arrived, as a helicopter tore onto the scene. It began to fire unto the birds mid-flight, sending many spiraling to the ground. I took cover to avoid stray bullets, as blood splattered onto the nearby ground. Painting the town red had a whole new meaning. Our excitement and cries of victory are short lived as a bird latches onto the helicopter. The grip the pilot with their mighty talons, piercing their heart of hearts. Time seems to slow as the helicopter itself loses control.
It crashes into the watchtower, causing a brilliant light. The flames of the base itself. I stood in awe as the thrill of battle continues. The shrieks of the beasts increase in volume as they decrease in numbers. Their very thirst for blood allowing them to take many of us down with them. I lay as the sounds of battle seem to cease. It was over, but who one I don't know.
I began to doze off in a pile of my own dead comrades. blood soaking my fatigues and pride, something awful occurred that day. The casualties were great as many a men lied, strung around the base. They were on buildings, boxes, any empty space was filled by the dead.
I took one last look as I fell unconscious.

A beam of sunshine roasted me on this hot desert morning. I was soaked in the blood of my enemies and comrades. I got back onto my hooves, being weighed down by the many corpses. I began to walk slowly, looking for any signs of survival. As I searched, it seemed there was no one outside. The battle witnessed last night left many dead on both sides, was anyone left alive?
I pondered the question as I checked the barracks for any survivors. As I flung open each door, my hopes diminished. It seems that there were no survivors on either side. I walked back out of the last building, making my way towards the entrance. Someone had to know what happened here, someone needed to know.
All the vehicles were busted, I had to walk it seemed. I began down the road, as the sun beat down on me. Most of my supplies were intact. I decided that I wouldn't get anywhere with the blood weighing me down. I took out my knife and cut off the fatigues. It seemed that they left my coat stained red.
Compared to my unit, I was unharmed. If only they had that luxury, but I need to know who attacked us. I walked along the road as the dryness of the desert slowly took its toll. Why were we attacked? Are we at war? All of these questions in my mind needed to be answered, and they needed to be answered as quickly as possible. I turned for a second, taking in a glimpse of the burned husk that we had called a fort.
As I got further away, I saw a small object crawling along the road. As I got closer, I realized that the object was one of last night's assailants, and my blood began to boil. A rushed him with speeds unknown to most. With great strength, I pin him against a large rock. I pull my knife on him.
"I want some answers from you," I commanded to the beast, with great anger. He squirmed, trying to escape my grip. I hit him once in the jaw. "Why did you attack us, and where are you from?" He looks me in the eye, physically shaken.
As the shaking increased he began to shed feathers. He looked me in the eye, "W-we attacked t-to take POWs for the griffonian empire." "We needed a bargaining chip to strike a deal with the Princess."
Princess? We had a monarch?
Once again I look him in the eye and ask, "What are you bargaining for?" Silence overcomes us while I wait.
"We want to increase our borders into Equestria," the griffon says, with a smirk. I cannot contain my own anger as I listen to him.
He murdered for such a reason!? I brought down my knife. I kept stabbing until he was completely red, why would he have done that. His corpse was soon unrecognizable as it was absolutely covered. I put away my knife, and I started to run back to Ponyville. I needed to tell the guards as soon as possible. Or Fort Brun will not go avenged.
The pavement flew past me as I galloped, increasing in speed with each step. The scenery flew by me, nothing would stop my goal from being achieved. Eventually I saw a car in the distance. I jumped in front of it, causing them to stop, and I stood there.
After a few seconds, I lunged for the driver's door, throwing the mare out of the car. I jumped inside, locking the door, and before she could retaliate, I drove off into the distance. Everything was fine as the scenery passed me, or so I thought. I looked back, suddenly spotting two children, err- foals.
They both say, "Hi mister." I open the passenger doors and punt the foals out like a football. If I were pulled over with two children in the back seat, I'd be in deep shit.
I speed off into the distance, most definitely going over the speed limit. It didn't matter to me however, as the information I had would be imperative to the government. As I drive, I once again see the herd of Buffalo, I give them a one-hoofed salute before speeding off. As I drive down the rugged terrain, I pass many twists and turns. I am pushing this car to its very limits.
The red rocky terrain around me slowly becomes greener. I was getting closer with every minute, and I had no time to lose. As I rocket by, the path becomes crowded with trees. I continue to pass by the greenery as I see Ponyville in the near distance. Thank the heavens we weren't far away. I jump out of the driver side door, ditching the car in the woods. If anyone saw me in that, I'd be fucked.
I sprinted towards the city limits, my very blood boiling as I approached. With great vigor, I gain speed, heading towards the gates. I pass through the walls, as the guard's barracks comes into my sights.
I'm almost there.
I am fast approaching, as I near the building. As I approach the door I bust through, seeing the wide eyed faces of the guards.
Shield Breaker approaches and asks, "Why aren't you still at training private?" I go on to explain the raid as everyone in the room had mouths agape. "That must have been the griffins, we need to send a report to Canterlot immediately!" Shield Breaker points to a lackey, he nods his head and begins to write. After a few minutes, a messenger grabs the letter and flies through the door.
"How many casualties were there," Shield asked, looking at me.
I pause for a second before giving my answer, "I am the only survivor."
