I was still sitting at my table, waiting for the knock on my door. I was nervous about her coming over- as usual- but I was also excited. I had been dreading this moment for quite some time, oh I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship.... After what seemed like hours, I'm beginning to second guess this.
"Why even bother," I said to nopony in particular, "she would probably come up with a good reason why she has to leave...." Why am I always so... shy? Thinking about it won't help. I'll just have to confront her about this and... oh who am I kidding, I'll back out of it I know it.
I stopped getting so lost in my thoughts when I heard a knock at the door. I stifled a yelp, even though I knew she was coming out- over I mean, it still startled me. Slowly walking to the door, I could feel my face getting hotter. I need to just calm down, I thought to myself. As I opened the door, I found it best to just keep my head down.
"C-come in..." I stuttered, cringing at the sound of my voice and how quiet I am. Is this because she's here, or am I always this quiet?
"No need to be so quiet Flutters, you know me," Rainbow Dash said, making my mind race just from hearing her voice. I followed her in, she was leading the way as if she lived here, not that I would mind of course... and went straight for my living room, I followed, trying to calm down enough to stop blushing. My view wasn't helping but I managed somehow.
As she sat down in her usual spot when she comes over for tea, I spoke up, "Could I get you anything to eat?"
"No thank you," she responded, stretching her wings out. Oh how beautiful her wings are....
I stopped staring, suddenly thankful she didn't want any food, I became aware of how bad my hooves were shaking, I couldn't prepare food like this.
